Macy's credit card

Macy's changed their billing cycle in October 2015. I have by bill paid in full each month through electronic funds transfer. I contacted customer service to inquire if any action was required, on my part, to ensure I would not receive finance charges or late fees. I was informed that it was all taken care of and I would not be late with my payments or receive any finance charges. My October bill shows I am late and have finance charges, because my bill was not paid. I call again to inquire as to the problem and request the charges be reversed and the account corrected. Again, I was assured it was corrected. My November bill has the same problems, requiring yet another call and 20-30 minute wait on hold to "fix the problem." December's bill, the same problem and phone call. Now January's bill with the same problem, so this time when I call I immediately ask to speak to a manager in customer service, seeing as how the first 4 times this could not be fixed by a Representative. I am placed on hold for 25 minutes before I just hang up. I cannot keep spending 30-45 minutes per month on fixing my account. I have never seen such inept customer service and complete disregard for their customers. I will never shop in another Macy's. BUYERS BEWARE!

Macy's star rewards

I signed up for a Macy's card when I purchased a few items 7 months ago in order to receive a discount on those items. No biggie, very common practice with department stores. Sign up for a card, get a discount. I paid my bill in full, so I had no balance and then I started receiving harrassing phone calls and account statements that showed a new balance. I had not made any additional purcahses. I called the customer service line and settled the matter. I asked the service rep repeatedly to confirm that there would be no balance moving forward. Then I received a new statement today that says I owe a $2 balance. I called again, they tried to tell me it was a $2 interest charge (on a balance of $0?), which obviously makes no sense - the $2 charge is actually listed on the account statement as "Fees Charged" and the statement shows $0.00 in the "Interest Charged" column. After 20 minutes waiting for a rep, I asked if Macy's charges me a fee when I have no balance. She said no. She gave me a script about the $2 balance that made no sense. I closed my account. This is exactly the type of nonsense that unnecessarily drives customers away screaming. It took months to fix this, and the fix was a canceled account for Macy's. So disappointing but I had no choice. They invented fees and harassed me. Worst experience ever.

Macy's fraud dispute

I foolishly opened a Macy's account on July 13th 2015. I used the account to purchase some clothes for a trip I was taking on Aug 1st. I received my first bill in July (due Aug 13) and sent off payment in full the morning of Aug 1. I returned from my trip and went to Macy's to return some items I had decided I didn't need. This was August 10 and I still had never received the actual credit card. The shopper's pass I had been given was no longer valid so the clerk rang up the return some other way. She also connected me directly to the credit dept to report I never received the card. I was assured a replacement would be sent. I never received a replacement. By pure accident I received an email from Credit Karma telling me there had been a change in my credit score. When I checked I saw my score had gone way down and the reason given was that I had exceeded my Macy's credit limit!. I had $1000 limit and had spent a total of approx. $209. Credit Karma showed my Macy's balance to be well over $1300. That was a Sunday, Aug 31. I called Macy's the next day to report the fraud. I also reported that I had not received my second bill which would have shown these charges. Suffice it to say it's January 4th and Macy's has still not resolved anything. It took 2 months and about 5 phone calls to get copies of my 2nd and 3rd bills (which I had never received either). I sent them fraud statements twice and it took them almost 2 months to send the return receipt I had requested. I called again today and got absolutely nowhere. My file still had not been updated since November, they still showed the wrong amount in dispute (a fraction of the actual charges disputed) and they could give me no information! Another warning. When I opened the acct I thought it was a regular store acct. I was not informed that the card was linked to AMEX and charges could be made ANYWHERE. This was important because all the fraudulent charges were made at one mall but at multiple stores! Stay away from Macy's credit card! Their customer service is horrendous. They will transfer you all over but provide no real information. Any call to customer service will take a minimum of an hour and when you hang up you will be no further along. Opening that Macy's account has been one of the worst experiences I have encountered and it is still ongoing!

Macy's harassed by an employee for my parents

My name is Dominic. I am 14 years old and I have a complaint for Macy's. I was harassed by an employee on October 31, 2015, at the Macy's store in the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah, Georgia. What happened was that after I purchased a water bottle from an employee, the employee who works at the shoe counter went up to me and asked for my parents in a mean way. I told him that my dad was in the mall, but he yelled at me and threatened to call security. I panicked and I ran into the mall. I called my dad, and he took me to the store to see the employee. He was on the phone with security talking about me. When he saw my father, he hanged up and my dad confronted him. They got into an argument, with the employee insisting that I'm too young to be in the store, and my dad told him that I was old enough. My mom took me to Macy's a couple weeks later, and when we were leaving, that same employee looked at me from the shoe counter and was about to run and yell at me! Another thing that made me mad is that unlike the other Macy's employees, he doesn't have a name tag, so I don't know his name, but I will give a physical description. He is African-American, he looks old, and he has a afro. I've walked right past security guards multiple times, and they never did anything to me. Why would a SALESPERSON who works at the SHOE COUNTER harass me for my parents!? That's security's job, not his! I'd sue Macy's and that employee, as well as the mall owner (GGP) if I could. Until this employee gets fired or quits, I am NEVER setting foot in this Macy's store AGAIN!

Macy's bad company!

I have ordered from this website for the past two years and every year I had problems with them. First, sometimes I received items that I didn't order, but never got what I purchased. The next year I ordered a lot of things, and had to get four separate shipments. This year I ordered three items, but all three were severely damaged. But they were not damaged because of shipping because the shipping box was fine. I asked them to check the items before shipping, but obviously they didn't have time to do it. I ordered a pot and there was a huge crack! I sent several messages, but never got a response. I will never order anything from this company again. I hope they'll give me a refund.

Macy's discrimination against atheists

Today, I was unjustly fired from my seasonal position as a Sales Associate due to false allegations being brought up against me by my department manager. I read one of the rules of Macy's, and it said that employees even shall not be subject to any form of profiling. The other day, I noticed my associates wearing crosses and other religious symbols, so I asked if I was allowed to wear my atheist pendant, because I as well wanted to express myself through a symbol. However, no one took the simple question of: "Would it be okay if I wore this?" well as pretty much the majority of my coworkers and my manager as well as the Human Resources manager took offense to this. I was later falsely accused for attacking and question a coworker's religious beliefs when I never did and only asked if I was allowed to wear the pendant. Today, I was fired because my department manager brought up false allegations that I said to a customer (I don't interact with customers at all unless I am selling something to them or taking an order, or returning etc) that I hated Jesus even though those words NEVER slipped out of my mouth. I tried my best to explain that none of these allegations were true nor were they accurate, yet they turned a blind eye and deaf ear to my defense and fired me. I walked out of the store in total and complete frustration knowing that I was truly discriminated against for being an atheist just for asking the simple question if I could wear my pendant to work since everyone else is wearing crosses and their religious symbols with no questions asked and no problems, but as soon as I asked if I could wear mine, everyone goes crazy and I lose my position. The department manager is Becca and the Human Resources manager is Jessica.

Macy's Card stolen, credit history spoilt and no action taken by macy's even after 8 months!!!

This is the worst case of harassment by Macy's. I applied for a Macy's store card. The card was mailed to my home address and before the card reached me, it was stolen and someone made fraudulent purchases worth hundreds of dollars on my account. That was just the beginning of the problem. I have been following up with Macy's for the last 8 months and they have not taken any corrective action. Every time I call the customer service, I spend 30min-1hr on hold only to hear their standard reply that the case is pending investigation and will take 60-90 days to resolve. Meanwhile Macy's has reported the transactions to Credit bureau and my credit history is ruined. I don't know how to get this resolved.

Macy's furniture

Ordered mattress and new bed in August. I was told they were out and it wouldn't be available until the end of September. Right before the end of September, someone texted me from a warehouse telling me that if I didn't pick up my furniture by the following Friday, they would start charging me storage fees! I called and asked what they were talking about - that no one told me the bed was actually in stock now. After holding for more the ten minutes, the nice cust serv rep came back on the phone to tell me that actually, the bed would not be in now until sometime in October - the bed was backordered. October 15th came and went and when I called, they informed me that due to the high volume of orders for this bed., etc., etc., etc. No one called to inform me of this problem - I asked to speak to a Manager. The woman said there was no manager to complaint to. They are told to take down the complaint and when they have their monthly meetings, they will bring it to the manager's attention. I couldn't believe it! I canceled the order and Macy's lost about $1200. Because of this very bad experience, I will never order furniture from Macy's again. To not care enough to take a call from a customer is absurd and says it all!

Macy's purchased but never delivered

I've purchased a sofa and chair from Macy's over Labor Day weekend in September 2015. At first we were updated with delivery dates extending out further and further. We've now passed the most recent delivery date and received no contact. I called and we were told that the items have not yet been delivered to the warehouse and they told me now the date has been delayed another month. I have white patio furniture to serve my Thanksgiving guest on. This is unacceptable. I will NEVER buy from Macy's again and I recommend that you do not also!

Macy's $2.00 service charge

I paid off my account ($72.82) in July 2015. You can imagine my shock when I received a $2.00 charge in August! I tried calling the number on my bill to no avail...no one is ever available to take the calls! I then purchased something for $3.32 and because I did not pay the $2 charge, the next bill I received was for $7.32! (the purchase and the $2 charge doubled)! I went to my local Macy's and spoke with 7 different customer service people and not one of them knew what the $2 charge was for. I tried 23 times to call the number listed on the bill and all 23 times got the same message "due to the unusual volume of calls we cannot help you at this time". I then wrote a letter and received a letter back saying "please contact us immediately at the below listed number". Well guess what? That is the same number I have been trying for 4 months now to get through to...I finally gave up and paid the stupid $7.32! I have not and will never again use my Macy's card but guess what? This month I received another bill for $2.00! Someone should report Macy's to the Better Business Bureau!

Macy's macy's fraud investigation

In April, my wallet was stolen. The thief went to Macy's and tried to use all of my credit cards, bank cards and pre-paid cards. Three of my cards protected me and did not allow the transactions. Macys allowed the thief to charge nearly $800. I contacted them with my police report and they never got back to me. Each time I called I was told to be patient. Now I am getting collections calls and they've added late fees. But whenever I called Macy's they told me not to worry. Now I cannot even get anyone to speak with me in the fraud investigations department and they keep sending me to collections. I am so distraught. It was awful having my wallet, credit cards, money, ids stolen. But now, the cost is close to $1, 000 and I cannot even get a human to help. This is not acceptable.

Macy's credit card

Unauthorized Credit Card charges. From Oct 3rd, 2015 to present I keep getting unauthorized charges on my credit card. I called to ask to speak with the fraud department; however, I kept getting passed around. Now the charges have sky rocketed to almost 2500.00. I call on the phone and I'm not even able to speak with a customer representative. I reported my card stolen along with driver's license and the whole bit; however, no one has contacted me about the fraudulent charges and I don't know who to contact at this point. It seems Macy's is their own world and have no repurcussions! I have now added it to the Identity Theft report filed with the police department.

Macy's furniture

I ordered furniture for a room that I was in the process of reflooring. The delivery guy told me not to worry, just call when I was ready and someone would come back out and assemble it. First rep I spoke to said no, we don't do that. Second rep said we do, but you have to call within 2 weeks. Last manager I spoke to said they were both wrong. Also, he would not give me the name of his manager. He said it was my fault for waiting 40 days. Sorry, next time I will cancel my vacation and try not to end up with a cast on my leg from a muscle tear so I call Macys in time.

Macy's unresponsive credit dept.

On Sept. of 2015 I received a letter from a collections agency stating that I owed Macy's $200.93. I called them and asked for the details and reason for sending my account to a collections agency. They said that I was late on paying on my account. I explained that I paid off my account in Feb 2015 and had not used my card. I checked with Experian and found out that my perfect credit score of 920 went down to 698 because of a false reporting and screw up of my account. I was completely blindsided. I never received any statements from Macy's during the year. Now I can't get credit because of what they (Illegally) did. I never received any statement in the mail, never received a phone call or email or any contact of any kind stating that I owed them anything. This kind of consumer abuse should be illegal. One should be warned in advance that their credit is going to be ruined if they don't (or can't) pay their due. I don't care about any amount I might owe, as long as they retract the damage to the credit reporting agencies. I am very angry and won't do business with Macy's until this is corrected. They should not be able to get away with practice of ruining customers credit when it is their fault.

Macy's macy's

I canceled my account in July 2015 after paying in full. In September 2015 I received another bill for $6.00. Apparently a $2.00 "minimum interest charge" in assessed even on a closed account with a zero balance! Really Macy's? You would rather have my $6.00 than my hundreds of dollars of business each year? No wonder Macy's has to close stores. I will never shop there again.

Macy's unprofessional and unethical incident when waiting for sofa delivery

9/16/2015, reservation: [protected], sale check: [protected]

bought a sofa at 9/112015 11:20 AM, my wife told to the sales Representative about a previous bad experience we had with delivery people . he promised it will not happen this time and put a note on his computer to make sure everything will go smooth with this order.
(Yeahh right) . we explained that our time is very precious, and we both work at very demanding jobs. thats why we scheduled a morning delivery for 09.16/2015 between 8:00AM-10:00 AM. left 2 phone numbers.
Actual result: The sofa didn't arrive on the time frame.
Macy's didn't call to tell they are late.

Called customer service twice, waited 15m on the waiting list and another 15m with the agent on the line to hear a lie that the truck had a flat tire (sorry don't buy that) and they are apologize .
Why macy's didn't call to tell they are late ? because our time does not count . when collecting the money everyone is nice, when it is time to provide service its a different symphony.

I wanted to cancel but I was told the sofa already in the truck and if I want I need to call a different number and reschedule ( again hussle that will waist my time)

We didn't born yesterday- we know when we are being BULL$#%.
I wonder if macy's will be satisfied if a customer who is constantly late in paying their payments tell them I apologize for the inconvenient ?

Macy's employee harrassment

My wife has been working for Macy's for 15 years. She was fired by them
previously. I took her to The New Jersey Department on Civil Rights.
The assigned worker called the store and my wife got her job back
and her back pay. Now Macy's has hired some new managers who are
inexperienced, unprofessional and childish. My wife is the counter manager and they keep harassing her. Especially, her two floor managers. I'm waiting for wife to talk to the manager before I go back
to Civil Rights.

Macy's they changed my salary rate

I wanted to warn people that the company Macy’s East Inc is bad company and the owners can easily change the conditions of your agreement with them. I worked for them 2 years and they suddenly changed my salary rate per hour. I found out about several weeks later, when I noticed that my salary became smaller. I asked the managers to help me, but they weren’t interested in helping me. Don’t work for these scammers.

Macy's horrible phone payment assistance

On 8/20/2015, I made a credit card payment via phone to Macy's customer service. I got a confirmation number and now they are telling me that I never made the payment! After 2 hours on the phone with various customer service reps, and then finally with a supervisor, I hope the issue has been resolved. On Monday, we'll see if all has been resolved and that no interest or late payment has been applied to the account. We were told it would be reversed if that happened.
