Six months after renting a car from this company, I received a message saying that due to 4 traffic violations while I had the car (which I was never informed about) the company would charge me 48 euro per violation from the credit card I had given at that time as guarantee!! This is not to pay the fines, it is over and above the police fines (for violations I am not aware of and have not yet recognized) simply because traffic violations are, according to their small print, a violation of the rental contract, and they are fining me for having been fined! I have never before encountered such exploitation, which has already cost me 200 EUR for nothing! As a disabled person, I am particularly offended for having been punished in such a way for daring to rent a car to drive around Italy!

On collecting the car on 02/05/19 the member of staff noticed that the front left wheel rim had damage that was not previously recorded, so she added it to the vehicle file and showed me the red dot on her ipad where she was going to do so. I therefore did not take a photo of this damage. On returning the car 05/05/19 the member of staff checking the car noticed that the damage to front left wheel rim and said I was going to be charged for it has it was not recorded. I disputed this, as at no point did I curb the rim, it was significant enough that it would have been felt or heard by me as the driver and my wife as passenger. I refused to sign the agreement and I was informed I would receive an e-mail to dispute the damage to the rim prior to any charge being made. I received no e-mail and was charged £235.22 to my credit card without my authorisation. I did not cause the damage and request a refund to my credit card of £235.22. We hired a van on April 20th.2018. This is our reference IT890078960. Now we just noticed that you debited our account by €48.80 on the 29/07/2018.
To our disappointment this was done without our authorization. We had paid in full with full insurance so there should be no extra charges.

I made this booking through lastminute.com for the dates of 4-7 May 2018. My ID number is 1852189 and at the time of booking, paid extra to have what was sold to me as an upgraded car (VW Golf). Upon arrival at Bari Airport, I was told that the Golf was not available and I would therefore have to accept the Dacia car I had originally been offered for a lower price. Complaint 1 is therefore to seek a refund for the difference I paid to upgrade to a Golf as this part of the agreement was not upheld from your side.
Secondly, I note that two payments have been taken form my account. The first is £353.63 and a second payment of £95.91. I understand the first amount (£353.63) is the deposit taken in case there is damage to the car. I was also told a second charge would be applied for roadside assistance but this was quoted as being around £10 so why you have taken £95.91 is alarming.
I would like to know why the £353.63 has not been returned yet as your employee at Bari received the car, made an inspection and told me the money would be returned. This has still not happened. Please cal you also advise why I have paid the best part of £100 for roadside assistance when the price quoted was a fraction of this!
Overall a really underwhelming experience.

today I had a very bad experience with the shift manager in Milano malpensa - MAURO. he shouted at me and was very violent verbally.
my mistake was that I arrived late to my time of booking, while I was trying to understand that my car was given a way Mr MAURO started to shout at me till I decided to just cancel my reservation. I felt umlauted and a sham this is for sure not a way a costumer should fill because of your employees behavior.
I'm renting cars a lot, including with locauto in the past, and such an event never happened to me.
I'm demanding that you will take my complains under the most Serious consideration and that he will be dissiplinated.

I rented a car from Locauto this Summer. On Pick-up we noted 11 damages which were fixed in the contract. On Drop-off, only 6 were registered (???), so we paid our agreed invoice and expected the deal to be closed. One week late we got an invoice per email and our Credit card debited by some 250 € for damages to the car. Complaining at Rentalcar, where we had booked the car on internet, we got this amount refunded. No Word from Locauto. Now, 2 weeks ago, we got again an invoice for administrative fees on behalf of a police request for a traffic fine. I don't contest this, although I am not aware of any misconduct, and ask for a proof for this request. No answer, but now I got debited TWICE for this admin fees. Trying to get in contact with Locauto is not possible, the link on their website for the customer service is not functioning. I can only recommend to everybody to avoid this entreprise, whose practices are close to being criminal.
