LG Electronics dryer sheets

I purchased an LG dryer in February 2011 (barely 6wks ago). Had to have a service man out y'day because the dryer was making a terrible rumbling noise when I used it. Apparently the dryer sheets were somehow finding their way down inside the drum of the dryer and getting caught and binding the dryer parts. The service man told me his dryer had the same problem twice with dryer sheets (as well as socks) and then presented me with a $149 repair bill ! It was our fault the dryer broke - no a manufacturer problem he said. APPARENTLY the manufacturer DOES have a problem. How on earth do dryer sheets and socks escape the inside of the dryer? And for the service man to tell me he's had the same issue? I called Home Depot (where I purchased the dryer) and was told they've had other customers complain of the same problem...Home Depot offered to split the cost of the repair with me. Home Depot should not be responsible for the repair bill - nor should I! I filed a complaint with LG this morning...let's see if they are willing to stand behind their product!

Please do not buy and LG product. The products are overpriced, (Even at Home Depot) and there shelf life on a durable good is about 3 to 5 years, where as a Maytag appliance last for over 20 years. In addtion, thier customer service is terrible, and they just don't care that you spent thousands of dollars on thier products. If something happens outside the warranty, you are screwed.

The complaint is simple: this stupid dryer will not dry clothes. After endless hours of restarting the drying cycle and many service calls I am on my way to the store to buy a different brand dryer. I will never buy another LG product EVER!

Our LG dryer drum split at the weld seam at around 2 years of use. It is a DLE8377. These drums are defective and a recall / class action needs to be initiate, PLEASE. We still have it and can send a picture, if needed.

LG Electronics fake prices

We went to leons to purchase new stainless appliances. The fridge i wanted was priced at 999.00. however they said they didnt have any in the back only the floor model but would knock off 50.00. 5 mins later the sales guy came back and said oh i guess we have one left in the back and by the way the fridge price is wrong it 1299.99. but we will sell it to you for 1199.99 the floor model. The fridge should be sold for what the price says on it. this is false advertising. we left the store at closing time returned the next morning to purchase the fridge in the back we were the first people in the store as the doors opened and the sales guy said the fridge sold already all that is left is the floor model for 1199.99. Not even possible we were given the run around and completely lied to. when i called head office they told me my complaint about the manager and that store had to be told to the manager of the store what a joke he is the problem are you kidding me. i will never deal with leons and hope no one else ever does!

LG Electronics washer is not what I like

"my life is not so good" when buying this lg (Lifes good) washer, I had really thought it would be a good washer. It has some features on it that I do like, but when I used it to wash my laundry, it was not what I wanted any more. But I think that I was stuck with it anyways since we bought it 200 or more miles away & was just not very happy lugging the big machine back. One of my first complaints about this washer is the "load sensing" feature, it spins the laundry around so darn hard when it first starts up & after spinning water out, that it has torn two different items of mine (Blouse & towel). This "load sensing"feature also distributes the laundry in an uneven manner, that when the washer fills up, starts agitating & goes into spin cycle it is so off balance that the washer makes tons of noise (do have it balanced right) I have got to rearrange laundry to even it out again but then it just does the same thing again & again, leaving me with no choice but to just let washer do the thing, that lg.co. Designed it to do. Another feature I do not like is, washer will not fill up with hot water, only warm (Yes connection is right). Have to turn cold water off, just to make sure only hot water goes in & I have adjusted water flow for this problem but seem to have no avail, other than turn cold off. Then have to make sure to turn it back on when in rinse cycle. Washer also will not let me open lid when filling up with water, "I hate that" might be a safety feature if you've got children or whatever, but I would rather it had a lock or not if preferable, for us grown ups who need to open up washer for one reason or another while it is filling up. Soaking whites overnight is something that I do prefer to do when I wash whites only. Washer will not let me do that. It wants to drain water after about 10 minutes that I turn washer off, not letting me soak my whites overnight. When calling lg for assistance & help, they had no answers for me, just wanted to send someone out to look at washer for any faults it could have. I refused, I am not going to spend good money on a service call, to let them tell me, nothing is wrong with their washer. I know, that I have a big problem with their washer, "I do not like some of it's features, they're so, not, what I want or like". But I am stuck with it now, right? Why can't all of these companies, just take a consumers complaint about their sorry a — product & make a better working product for us all so we can be satisfied with what we have spent our good hard working money on?.

LG Electronics 50py2dr plasma tv

LG Plasma Televisions...BEWARE !
For anyone considering purchasing any LG plasma television, please read this very carefully. My name is William Abbate. I had a very horrible experience with LG. I spent nearly $5000 on a 50PY2DR set. Within 2 years of use, if you want to even call it that, it was broken. Keep in mind that I own numerous televisions and, this set was barely even used. I contacted LG with my concern and, they offered to pay for the part/parts and I would foot the bill for the service. Naturally, they chose the cheapest way out and only replaced the Y-board. Shortly after this horrific experience, after my floors were scratched to hell, low and behold...the television was broken again. This time it was outside of the warranty period. LG recommended one of their repair places near our home in Greenwich, CT. The technician was kind and astute enough to inform me that an improper repair was done originally which caused the tv to brake again. Both boards were suppossed to be replaced, not one. LG figured they would take the cheap way out. I would have to come back to them in the future when my tv broke again in a short period of time. DO NOT deal with this company. They are NOT REPUTABLE. Their customer service agents in Huntsville, AL are idiots with barely a pulse. I WOULD NEVER, EVER purchase one of their products ever again. In fact, I wouldn't even take one for free. They DO NOT care about customer retention. They are merely interested with making an initial sale. Bottom Line: Their products are subpar...in fact, they suck ! Management should review their customer experiences. I understand that the Koreans really do not care about customer retention. Their interest lies only in making a sale. BEWARE ! LG Electronics noise

We purchased a lg tv on Feb 26 ;king size mattress set;a tv stand and a chair for our granddaaughter, the mattress was ripped and the box springs were falling apart, this is how they were delivered.Called the brick and new ones were delivered in a couple days.Next day sound went on tv;called and a new one was delivered a few days later.Same problem;returned to store ourselves ended up getting a NEW Sony 40 lcd'it was not new had been returned by someone else .Also got a new a home theater;not new it had been returned and someone had left their dvd in it;two of the ends were broken;when I called they said that we had bought as is;BS I had them right on bill that it was not a AS IS ITEMS.Called and they assured me they would get right back to me, that was two days ago.We are tempted and prob will take everything we purchased back !NEVER AGAIN !

LG Electronics replacement

We purchased LG refrigerator (model No.245FFDG5) at Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, India on 13th October, 2010. Very next day, compressor get repair. We gave complaint at shop. They replaced with another one. But, it was also defective. It was got swetting from three sides and top. Again we gave complaint number of times orally. We went so many times to the Shop and Customer Service Centre of LG at Khammam and talk with Toll Free number of LG Electronics. Somebody coming and looking and going. But, no body giving any reply. Somebody saying, we cann't replace second time. Even they are not trying to repair. They said that, this is a major problem. Even after 5 months, problem was not settled by the company. Hence, please try to solve this problem

LG Electronics tv on standby

i gave my LG TV, at the place A-11, Lawrence rd, lahore, Pakistan, for the problem, , that the Tv went on standby, , , n it does nt get alright now.. the service cente, , took my Tv for 4 months ..n they still have it ; n they are not responding to the complaint.itz such a lousy response from LG people.
Caution for readers: i recommend, do not buy any product from LG company/ after sales service n response is pathetic.
persons involved are MR SAADI SAAB, & MR Irfan( North manager PUNJAB )
their response is so unbelieveable, , what they are saying to me, , that the parts / chips they get from Korea are faulty, , , , wow, , , unbelievable...& they are hinting me to take the Tv away, , & get it checked/repaired from local workers outside, , , ..unbelieveable, , , a response from the service centre
i would like to post my complaint to any of their international office, , , i do not know any email, , , where to do that, , , cause people here in this service centre, , LHR, PAKISTAN, , are totally unresponsive/ unmoved

LG Electronics clicking noise

Hello. First sorry my english is not perfect. My LG Range make constant loud cliking noise when oven's working when preheat and heat. He click every 30 seconds 3 times fast. It's really disturbing et the clicking sound is realy loud. I even hear the click at the other end of my house. I call LG 2 times. The first guy told me that it's not normal and the other one said its normal. If your do the same thing, please send me a message i will appreciate it.

DO NOT BUY LG APPLIANCES. I have the same problem with my LG Electric range. Unfortunately, I can not return the oven/range at this point. The appliance drives me absolutely crazy because it does not stop making clicking noises - even when the oven is turned OFF- the noise continues and it is loud. I now must pull the oven out of it's counter spot to access the plug and unplug the appliance when I am not using to avoid the constant clicking. Obviously needing to re-plug when using. Also, my LG refrigerator water dispenser pump broke which slowly leaked and damaged my kitchen walls which need to be repaired. Luckily I was able to repair it myself, but it was a total waste of my time and energy. LG APPLIANCES ARE HORRIBLE. DO NOT BUY LG!

Our LG range is about 1 1.2 years old and for the last 12 months we have had problems with all the burner knobs breaking inside... only two old ladies use it so it's not abused but the knobs are $8O each and they keep braking.. they do not fit right .. is their a recall on these parts?

LG Electronics bad service

I purchased an LG refrigerator at the Forest Park Home Depot on November 28th and with it was given a delivery date of 19 December.

On 17 December, only two days before the delivery date, I was finally called and told the refrigerator was on back order and they would have to call me in a few days to schedule a new delivery date. They said they "might" be able to move one from another delivery warehouse, and then reschedule.

I went into the Home Depot to complain about the delay, for which I received no apology or offer of compensation for my time, and was there told that it had already been rescheduled for 26 December without consulting my schedule.

I was unavailable that day, so had to reschedule AGAIN, for Dec 31. I was then called on 30 Dec just to be informed that they wished to reschedule the delivery to 6 January. I refused, hung up, went to Home Depot and canceled the purchase.

I had planned to purchase 3 other appliances from that store, but will no longer do so due to the horrible service I received.

The only thing remotely close to an apology I received was an explanation of how backed up the were due to unexpected Black Friday sales. Back-ups on their end are not my problem, but theirs. During this entire process I was bounced from the store, to the delivery service, to LG, and back again.

As a customer, I don't want to hear how poor planning for the holidays, or a deficient shipping program doesn't allow sales to accurately plan deliveries. I want to hear solutions.

Only one person in the entire process tried to take ownership of the issue, and offered an apology. I would like to thank Ed at Home Depot for his Customer Service.

LG Electronics finger prints inside oven window

3 days after the reception, we noticed many fingers prints
inside the oven window + smudging marks .

Called the service who ordered a new door .After 5 days
the service told us they are ready to install a new window .
We argued we were promised a full new door ...after
many argumentation, the LG service rep told us it is
that or nothing !

We argumented that a new door is the minimal we ask,
we paid for a new range NOT a repaired range .

Still fighting to be served as it shoud be : we just ask for a new door to be installed ...

LG Electronics never delivered paid goods

We went to the LG SHOP (outlet of LG) in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 2010 to buy Appliances.
we bought goods to the value of R20 000 and was demanded by the supplier to first pay up in full before delivery, which we did, but up to date got no goods delivered, and after much phone calls and promises from the Director of the company himself we still didnt get a refund nor the goods delivered. We (myself and my fiance) found out when we actually went to the shop that they were in liquidation.
We are lodging a complaint in hoping that LG will refund us or supply us with the appliances initially ordered as this is what we rightfully deserve. Pls feel free to contact Baldiwn [protected] or Lee-Anne [protected] anytime with regards to this matter, we have proof of the payment and serial no's of the goods.

LG Electronics bad appliance

My refrigerator is less than 3 years old and since the 13th month, I've had NOTHING but problems

I have spent many $$$$$ on it

There is only one LG dealer in my area and he can only repair on Wednesdays

T/fore I've done without a working appliance for a total of many months.

The repairman is very expensive and he has worked on it 3 times just in the past 3 weeks.

He is due here again on Wednesday for the more repairs.

His charge is outrageous and I've spent too much money on this refrigerator to not receive the service from it that I paid for.

I had my LG range start pitting on the black trim piece that trims the glass top and they replaced it than one month
after a year old the interior was mkissing the blue enamal in two places anf they are telling me that it is not covered
and the store is telling me not to use the stove it is unsafe so a $750 stove is no good now and I spent $4500 on all new appliances at HH Gregg they said not covered and I paid for the etended warentee also still not covered, seems they have the Lifes Good part
are we have nothing but problems.

had a cooktop that was 3 months old paid 2200 dollars since the original Bosch was not available i settled with LG that looked similar. one boilover the ceramic top had pitting, was not covered by LG warranty, the rep said you cannot have boilovers which was ridiculous, i told the rep does he cook at all? no boilovers on a cooktop? reported them to BBB and still no replacement.

Bought the frechdoor refrigerator together with the cooktop. another garbage. makes a fan noise louder than my neighbors 98 dodge.
ridiculous. all garbage. The microwave over the counter fan deal, sucks in air through the sides not the vent. so i had to remove the smoke detector and now cook with all windows open as that thing is not ventilating right. honestly LG was not my choice, but they are total waste of money. have used GE and Bosch appliance for over 10 years with no hiccups.

Oh i forgot to mention the washer that was 1400 dollars. has a leak everytime the steam wash turns on.

all together 11000 dollars for 5 appliance LG only the dryer works without problems, well then again i only dry the towels with that thing as i have a maytag in the basement for the heavy stuff. LG ( life's good? NO LG = loser's garbage)

Purchased washer lg f1403fd 9kg £ 566.45, all instructions coming off front of machine, faulty manufacture
Consumer direct said not made for durability lot of money.
Could have bought two for same price, you think you pay more better quality it seems not all the time.

i have been dealing with lg for 2weeks each time a customer service person, , , in the end i wanted to speak toa manager.. you never speak to them and in the end i asked were doyou write your complaints, i just got this website, , THEY ARE A LOAD OF RUBBISH AND THEY CUSTOMER SERVICE RELATIONS IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. I am looking into getting the ombudsman involved for more help, as the complaints board do not respond

LG Electronics lottery

i have received a mail from LG company uk that i've won a lottery or a cash prize of 700, 000 GBP and this company according to them has deposited my cheque in goldstar international courier services and Mr, Bryan Bob is dealing my courier. they asked me to choose a delivery plan and to pay according to that plan. i am totally confused regarding this that is it a scam or true. now please tell me what to do because they asked me to deposit 400 GBP as a courier fee which seems to be vey difficult for me and if it is scam then kindly guide meabour this man BRYAN BOB. is he really a worker there in goldstar courier or it is just a fraud

This is a scam in which you should not even bother to reply, just delete these kind of emails without opening or reading them. It promotes scamming and elderly people are losing their savings, just avoid it.

LG Electronics bad product and worst after sales service

I purchased an LG monitor on the 19 February 2010, less than four weeks ago. There is this pixel that is constantly lit, in a black background it is rather irritating and stares at you with its beady pixel. I then tried sorting the matter with Ursual vd Linde [LG] who literally made me run from the place I bought it, who thought I was an ***** for listening to this person and then to a repair place [CRT] affiliated to LG but then they wanted to keep the monitor for no less than three days...now three days is too much down time and too much work loss.

LG Electronics shorted keypad

I bought an lg range lre30451sw/sb/st in '08... After using the self cleaning for the 2nd time since purchase an f1 code showed up. It goes away after pressing clear but continues to beep and reappear. I was told the keypad is shorted out. After going online I have found that this is a very, very common problem that happens after using the self cleaning... So I am wondering why there isn't some sort of recall. I understand it is an expensive part to replace, not to mention labor (more then 1/2 of what we paid for the stove). I have also read that it will most likely happen again so if I do pay to have it fixed I will be afraid to ever clean the oven. Would like to know if there is anything that can be done... At least to prevent others from purchasing this range.

about a 2 years ago same thing, after cleaning the oven, F1 code popped, couldn't get stove to turn on, check erc and key pad both tested good, put it back together and my wife got it to light up all burners and oven up to temp 400 +'. it then worked fine till Passover this year, worked fine for the Seder then the day after in the middle of the night Beep, Beep, Beep the F1 code was back. So far tried power off then reset, NG, am now going to test Temp Sensor erc again and hope that one of these are the problem.

Same thing happened to me last week. The F-1 code appeared after my 2nd use of the self clean feature. My entire unit is now useless. I agree LG should extend a recall on the keypad. I plan to make a nuisance of myself until customer service gets this problem fixed. Currently unemployed with a family of 5 to cook for. Can not pay $500 for repairs to a problem that LG is responsible for.

Same thing just happened to me. The wife did the self-cleaning option about a week ago. Now I get the F-1 message.
So I understand there are 3 circuit boards inside this thing. If I knew which was the faulty one, I could replace it myself. Does anyone know?

My wife and I bought ours around 2008 and had the control/keypad replaced under warranty. Now the same thing is happening from the same "self clean" scenario. I can clear the F1 sometimes with the clear and sometimes I track my finger over the "conv. oven and convection oven keys" and it clears. When on the stove is totally useless as the burners etc. won't work...took 15 minutes to scramble a few eggs this morning, having to reset the "F1" and turn the burner back on...

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I JUST USED MY SLEF CLARNER FOR THE 3RD TIME AND THEN IT APPEARD. I CAN HIT THE CLEAR/OFF BUTTON AND IT TAKES IT AWAY ONLY TO BRING IT BACK IN A FEW MINS. THERE DEFANTILY NEEDS TO BE SOME SORT OF RECALL. THIS IS CRAZY. I'LL NEVER BUY AN LG AGAIN IF THIS IS THE CASE.
GLAD TO KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE.

LG Electronics lost mobile phone

Sir,
on 7th of january, i went to Ramswaroop College (Faizabad Road) for my semester exams.
I had kept my cellphone along with my friend in his bag in front of the security guards.
After the exams 8 to 12 bags were stolen including the bag in which me and my friend had kept
our cellphones.

We tried ringing on my friends' cell (as mine was switched off), a girl picked it and before could ask
her anything she hanged the phone and didnt picked it up another time.

My phone's IMEI number is [protected](last nine digits). The shopkeeper had written only nine digits on the reciept.

LG Electronics poor warranty service

My WM2016CW washing machine died December 24th while washing a housecoat. I phoned LG, and was referred to their warranty service agents Trans Global Services. I got a recording, left a message, and then filled in an online request for servicing. I phoned back Monday the 27th to check on my request for servicing. They said no record of my request existed, and I should go to Home Depot and get them to fax my purchase records to them. I did this. I called back Wednesday the 29th for an update, and they claim to not have any record of my fax, or phone call. I then called LG Canada again to request servicing, and they took my information. I called again on Friday for an update, since I had never received a return call from anybody at any time. A new Case # was assigned to me (#CMN101230575363), and I was told to wait 2 to 4 business days for a reply. I called back on January 7th, having heard nothing from LG, and after a long wait on hold was finally given an appointment for a service call.
Now let's see how that works out. The machine was purchased in October of 2009, and just lasted long enough to get past the one year warranty for labour. The logic board is warrantied for 2 years, but I'll still get screwed for buying an unreliable machine with poor customer service behind it.

LG Electronics warranty service not entertained

Hi All,
This is to bring into the notice that LG Electronics India is not replacing my desktop LCD monitor "LG Flatron L224WS" which is still under the warranty period. Mine monitor is experiencing pixel dead problem.
LG Guys are giving stupid excuses that product is not covered under warranty since only one pixel is dead. They can only exchange if at least 5 pixels are dead. So how am I supposed to make my monitor's pixel dead to the count of 5. This is insane.
If a product is still under warranty, the complaint should be entertained. LG has considerably degraded their product quality.
Its an appeal "Stop making fool of customer, since they rely on you and spend their hard earned money".

Manufacturer's have a dead-pixel policy, I suggest reading it as there are a certain number of bad pixels which a monitor can display before it's considered "faulty". Due to the manufacturing process of certain types of screens, dead pixels are just a fact of life. For example, HP will only replace a monitor with there are 4 scattered faulty pixels or 3 clustered. Viewsonic will replace if there are 3 lit, 3 unlit or 7 dead. So the list goes on .. That's life mate, especially where dead pixels on TFTs are concerned.
