LG Electronics Poor quality, no service

Currently dealing with them to fix my fridge. First report to LG on 1/11, and every time they will tell you to wait 2 to 3 business days when you have already been waiting for weeks.

Resolution case manager has no resolution for the issue. They said someone will call you back but never. I have to call LG and I have to call the contractor many times, but it is still not helping. Its under warranty but not providing loan fridge in the first instant when identified the issue, and leave me without a fridge in Darwin, where is an average 30ºC and currently is summer Wet season. I just want a working fridge, but they can't make it happen in 6 weeks time. I have been waiting for more than 6 weeks now but possibly will go through Christmas and New year period without a fridge. What an 'AMAZING' Christmas present from LG.

I'm not surprise actually as they fixed my microwave for 6 weeks by sending back twice to complete the job a couple years ago. Both microwave and fridge bought brand new within the warranty. I thought LG has good quality products that's why I bought it but turned out I was completely wrong with that.

Desired outcome: Replace a new fridge or fix immediately within next few days before Christmas.

LG Electronics LG front load washer

I purchased a new LG washer & dryer in August 2022 for our Airbnb in Warrensville, NC. Three months later (November 26th), the washer stopped filling with water and was showing an OE error message. I live in Texas so I'm not able to be there to check this out personally but my cleaning crew informed me of the problem. They tried the obvious fixes, making sure the drain hose wasn't kinked, cleaning the filter, unplugged and plugged to do a reset, etc. I called in a repair request to LG and reached a CS agent in the Philippines who insisted I must go through the entire troubleshooting list before he could schedule a repairman. I had to pay my cleaner to make a special trip out there to try running washing machine cleaner through the cycle, as the customer service agent insisted this would fix the problem.

Obviously it did not fix the problem because there's no water filling up the machine to even run through the cleaning cycle, so I had to make another call to LG Customer service to request a repair. No one ever actually answers the phone. I just get the voicemail system every time. Initially I did receive a call back from Sandy at National Platinum Services (which I think may be the local repair agency but I'm not really clear on that). She insured me I would get a call back within 2 business days to schedule the repair. That was two weeks ago and no one ever called me back. I've tried numerous times over the past couple of weeks to reach them. I've left multiple voicemails for them with no return call.

So here I am with a brand new washer that doesn't work. I'm paying my cleaning crew extra every week to take our linens offsite to be washed. And I'm stuck in this endless cycle of automated voicemails, getting absolutely NOWHERE. And side note - guests don't have access to the laundry room. It has only been used by my cleaner and myself, less than 50 loads.

DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS! Customer service is NON-EXISTENT!

Desired outcome: Please call me to schedule the necessary repairs for this machine that's still under warranty. I would like a working washing machine.

LG Electronics LFXS26973D refrigerator

I purchased this fridge in 2021 and every door shelf is cracked and one completely broke apart. Now I’m reading hundreds of reviews of customers dealing with the same issues. Why are you not using better plastic? Terrible business practice. With the cost of everything sky rocketing due to inflation the last thinking I need to spend money on is replacement shelves due to your terrible choice of plastics. Fix this [censored].

LG Electronics Service department of lg and the esculation department of lg. Both unprofessional and dirty cheats

Unfortunately, I am not going to completey abide by your request because harm did come to me and therefore, it is important to be specific. LG does not get to look the other way on this and that is exactly what they will do if I cannot prove to them and when I name these people, they will recognize them as employees and know I speak the truth.

First, please please do not respond back steering me to LG complaints or Corporate office. I have already done that and got no where. This is a terrible company with no shame. Their esculation team was awful. So far, I have contacted the local news stations, my bank, and I am also a professional writer. One way or another, the public will be notified of my story and if I can prevent even one person from experiencing what I just went through then I will be at peace. No human should go through this. LG was supposed to service my fridge because a recall was issued on a part and they were supposed to fix it. Instead, they took my money, charged my card, the tech no showed, and their eculation team told me they do not make it a habit of issue refunds. I explained that the tech never showed up and they said "too bad" and that they were still keeping my money. I was in such shock that I actually had the representative from the corp office actually repeat herself. Her name was Chasity. I hope to god it is on their "quality assurance" tapes because then they can hear this woman telling me that LG is not refunding my money while at the same time acknowledging that they are aware the tech never showed. I was horrified. She told me "so sorry" but they will be keeping my money. So now I have a broke $2000 k fridge, they acknowledged the part was unsafe and recalled but won't fix it. It was unbelievable. I cannot believe service companies are allowed to not send the tech and keep the money you gave them for the service. I trusted them which is why I gave their service team my credit card. My bank said this is a fraudulent charge because they charged me and no service was provided. They started to scramble and act like I cancelled the appointment but I actually have a text from them telling me the tech was not coming. The text from them is proof and documentation. The tech was named Michael Reigle. While they said they were sorry that Michael chose not to show up nor did he call me and this was the second time I got stood up. Yep, you read that correctly. LG company made me take off work twice and wait for 5 hrs each time only for no one to show. They hung up on me several times trying to avoid my calls asking for my service money to be refunded since no service was provided and when I took it to escalation, Chasity called and said they have not plans to give me my money back. That is theft.

Desired outcome: I want my $125 refunded, a new tech (Michael Reigle no showed twice) the recalled compressor to be replaced, the service to be done on a Saturday because I already took off work twice and I want the labor fee waived.

LG Electronics Not standing behind the quality of their product and not honoring the warranty

November 12th the refrigerator stop cooling and its not even an year old. The warranty would cover any thing that needed to be replaced. However, since the 12 of November up until today (dec 2). LG has been giving us the run around. Lied several times about a company coming to fix the issue but upon talking to the actual company they had no knowledge of the issue from LG. This has actually happened with 3 different companies including Lowes who would replaced the refrigerator if LG would agreee to it. They continue to lie and no one has come to fix this issue...They stated that we cant get a refund and at this point i dont think they are going to honor the warranty...its going on a month and we had to throw away alot of food due to their horrible customer service. We need it fixed or our money back. LG has got to be the worst experiencewe ever had

LG Electronics Refrigerator

We have an LG refrigerator that the compressor quit working and was still under warranty. We contacted a repairman who keeps the compressors in stock because he said they have a 100% failure rate. I contacted LG and was told to get an itemized bill and contact them again for instructions on how to submit the bill. When I contacted them for instructions, they refused to honor the warranty saying the repairman would have to have stated the compressor was still under warranty prior to ordering the part and repair of the refrigerator.

Desired outcome: LG honors the warranty on the compressor and reimburses us for the cost of the compressor.

LG Electronics LG stove top LSE 4611

I cannot count how many times I’ve brushed against knobs and they have turned on. Last night could have been a disaster if not for a very good fire alarm system in my house. I carried in a very heavy box from Costco full of foood and set it on my stove. I didn’t realize when I set it down it turned on all 3 burners on left side. I went back outside to get more groceries and was delayed maybe 3-5 minutes when every alarm in my house went off. The box was on fire. Not shouldering, a 2-3 foot fire. Everything was ruined and what a mess since a blast ice coffee container was one item there was coffee and me, Ted plastic everywhere. It took me over 2 hours to clean the mess… it burned, y counters but thankfully I have corian so burn marks came off with steel wool.

This is not the first time this has happened, it’s just the first time a full fire erupted. I mentioned it to my house cleaner that said every time she cleans and brushes against them they turn on. As far as I’m concerned after last night and 150.00 of groceries in the garbage this is a recall issue or the very least new knobs that fit tightly.

I’m sorry I didn’t take photos I was so upset cleaning the mess it didn’t occur to me to take pictures.

LG Electronics LDE4415ST electric range double oven

We purchased this electric double oven range 4 years ago & the board that controls the lower burner of the top oven has gone out 3 times. It probably would have stopped working more than 3 times if we fixed it immediately, but for a while after each episode we get by with the bottom oven. I find this out each time because the top burner has to work harder to maintain the temp you're cooking at and it burns the top of whatever you happen to be baking at the time. The board number is EBR80595401. We know because we have ordered it 3 times. I was so excited to have this double oven when we purchased it. It was one of the must haves for our new home to make cooking for a crowd easier. It has been such a hassle. I wish I had gone with a different brand.

Desired outcome: I would love a new electric double oven that will last more than a year!

LG Electronics LG OLED55C24LA

RE: FAULTY OLED TELEVISION

Dear Sir/Madam

On November 1st 2022, I purchased a LG OLED 55C24LA television from a local store.

After I set up the Multi Satellite mode and scanned in nine geo-stationary Satellites, which at that time all worked fine. No issues at all with this process.

But subsequently, I found the picture quality on the television to be very poor on both Standard and HD transmissions, although the 4K pictures were excellent.

As a result of this poor picture quality, and after trying to adjust the video settings for an improvement, to no avail.

I then decided the best way, would be to return the TV to its factory default state.

Following this process I then found that the Latitude and Longitude and USALS motor settings menu had disappeared altogether.

At this time I telephoned your service agent in the UK. I was unable to get any result, the person did not even know that your televisions had this facility, and had no idea as to what to do. Eventually he suggested I get a new television from the supplier.

Following the above, I did return the television to the shop for a replacement LG OLED 55C24LA (S/N 209MAJMK8Q60, Software version 03.20.95) on the 10th November 2022. Thinking this might be the solution to this issue

Once again the same thing occurred, no multi satellite menu. This prompted me to telephone your service agent yet again who was not interested in trying to resolve the problem. Who was completely unaware these televisions could even be able do that.

I referred him to pages 111 and 112 of the latest user manual, which clearly states how to set up a motor system.

It looks like someone in your organisation has possibly accidently disabled this function on my television. I cannot switch off the 22 kHz tone in order to be able to get to and adjust the motor and my location settings.

I would appreciate if you could remotely access my television and make the necessary firmware/software adjustments, so that I can have a usable television. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the new television; the picture quality is very good now.

My main reason for purchasing this LG television is that I know that your television sets are capable of multi satellite operation. I already have two other LG televisions set up and working on a USALS drive.

LG Electronics lg tv

I was sold an lg tv at best buy in scranton pa by an employee who said the tv was great and he owned one. Said it was the best tv he ever had so I believed him and went $700 over my budget and bought one. I originally went in to purchase either a Samsung or Sony, which is what I’ve always owned and was very happy with, but I thought I’d give lg a chance.

It turned out to be the worst decision I’ve ever made. The tv has not worked correctly since the day it was delivered. Unfortunately, I waited a little over the two week return window for best buy so I had to go through lg warranty. They sent a repair man twice which is compromising the integrity of my tv and both times not to mention he was unable to fix it by replacing the board twice!

I’ve communicated with lg for over 120 hours by phone, texts and emails. They are doing nothing to give me what I paid for or to compensate me. The warranty is still in effect yet they have not honored it.

The hd channels have taken up to 20 sec to become clear. When you turn this tv on it takes 2 min or more after buffering to work. The screen has turned black for over 5 min and would not come back on until I turned it off and turned it back on again. It pixelates, it constantly varies between sharp and blurry every few seconds!

Customer support is a complete joke. You get transferred to the philippines and you never get help. I started this complaint 10 months ago, and I am now into my 10th month of the warranty because they’re trying to make it expire by dragging their feet.

The serviceman told lg technical support that after changing the 2nd board it still takes 12 sec to load and is not working properly, but they lied and reported that he said it takes 2 sec and that it IS working properly!

Utterly and completely disgusted!

LG Electronics LG refrigerator and customer service in general

We bought a new house in March that came with new LG appliances. Everything was fine until August when the refrigerator started making a noise. We immediately started calling about the noise. Nothing was done, one person from LG even suggested that the noise was normal. We had to start recording the noise to convince LG that the noise was not normal. Nothing was done even with the recordings being sent to LG.

On September 15th, the refrigerator stopped working altogether and we lost all of our contents that we still have not been reimbursed for.

An appointment was made for a service call, but it was October before we could get on the list. Nothing could be done on that first visit because the wrong part was ordered and a new part had to be ordered.

Two to Three weeks later, on the 2nd service call, a new fan was installed. A&E repair service, the company that provides service for LG in my area, said to give it 24 hours, but it still was not working. A third service call had to be scheduled, but it was another three weeks. On that service call, nothing could be done because the wrong part was ordered once again.

A fourth service call has been scheduled for Nov. 9th. We've been without a working refrigerator since September 15th!

The steps I have taken to get LG's attention in this matter have not been taken seriously. I sent an email to the President of LG, and we got no response from him regarding this issue. What is the point of having that option available if the president isn't even going to do anything to improve costumer service?

On Tuesday, November 2nd, I reached out to the 800 customer service yet again, but asking for a replacement refrigerator this time. The woman I spoke with said she will send the complaint on to the next level and that I would hear something from the company within 24 hours. It is Saturday, November 5th, and I never heard from anyone regarding the issue of receiving a new refrigerator. I am very dissatisfied with LG's customer service resolving this issue that started in August!

So right now as it stands, we are waiting for our 4th service call on November 9th by A&E Repair, to repair our refrigerator. However, what will happen if the refrigerator isn't working after that date? How much longer will we be without a working refrigerator?

We have a dinner party scheduled for November 17th and will be entertaining guests for Thanksgiving, what will LG do for us if our refrigerator is not working by then? It's difficult to entertain without a working refrigerator.

I am extremely disappointed that the step of reaching out to LG's president didn't bring any results and my call this past Tuesday with the LG representative saying I would hear back from LG within 24 hours did not happen, as well.

I am nervous that after our 4th repair service call, we will still not have a working refrigerator.

Desired outcome: A new replacement or a refund as soon as possible, or assurance the refrigerator will be working by Nov. 9th.

LG Electronics LG top load washer

I purchased a new LG washer at Best Buy March 11, 2022. On September 21, 2022 I put a waterproof mattress protector to wash on the “waterproof cycle” as specified on the machine itself. I left to go run errands and was away for a few hours. Upon returning home I went to the washer to transfer the mattress protector to the dryer. Apparently the machine tried to orbit! I found the machine sideways, 3 feet away from the wall. As I opened the lid the soap dispenser was lying on top f the mattress protector and I noticed it was all warped outwards. The machine rocked so violently that it caused two huge dents in the front as well as blown out on the side. My countertop was damaged from the machine as well. The dryer that sat beside it is also damaged from the violent rocking. I called Best Buy and they said the washer falls under the manufacture policy for defects. Therefore I called LG. They sent a local technician out. Mind you, this incompetent idiot just visually looked at the machine. He did NO physical investigating of the washer. He reports back to LG that it was “User Error”. I keep asking for a reason to substantiate that conclusion and I get no response. They have nothing to base that statement on. I am 61 years old. I have done laundry all my life so I know how to do laundry. Actually I am so meticulous about my laundry I will not allow anyone to do my laundry. This particular mattress protector has been washed many times over the years. In fact I washed it on the previous LG top loader I had purchased in 2013.. For LG to keep using the blanket statement “User Error” is such a cop out. I am grateful there was no person or small animal that could have caused physical bodily damage or we would be lawyering up. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I will never buy another LG product again. I will go back to tried and true reputable brands.

As it stands I am not going to back down. I know in good conscience and from a pure heart that this is a definite manufacturer’s defect. The Geek Squad that looked at the machine October 23, 2022 said it definitely was NOT “User Error”!

The machine FAILED to stop when load became unbalanced. In the past when the mache became unbalanced, the machine would stop and unlock so I could readjust the load. However, this time it didn’t. The sensor or something failed big time.

LG just doesn’t care. They don’t appreciate consumer loyalty. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase any LG product. I will totally disuade anyone looking to purchase any kind of products manufactured by LG.

Actually the same problem has been an issue in the past.

I have now been without a washer since September 21,2022. My husband had open heart surgery August 1, 2022. Since then he has continues to have complications. Having to try deal with trying to get this made right is the last thing I needed on my plate.

Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed for the washer and now the damaged dryer as well as my countertop replaced. I also want the washer and dryer removed from my premises.

LG Electronics Refrigerator

To whom this may concern:

On Sunday 10/23/2022 my refrigerator went out. I noticed later in the day my freezer had not been working, & by the time I noticed everything was thawed. Everything had to be tossed out as I did not have any back up storage. The refrigerator seemed to still be cool until later that evening it was becoming warmer. I purchased an ice chest & ice & attempted to salvage what I could. I then contacted LG customer service. I'm not even going to get in to the terrible service I received. I was basically told someone would contact me within 24 hrs to schedule a repair technician. When I never received a follow up call the following day I called again & requested a supervisor. At this point I was told I had to allow 3-5 business days just for a "specialized technician" to respond. This blew me away as I was just told the day before it would be 24 hrs. I strongly expressed to this supervisor that this was just unacceptable. This is a refrigerator, a necessity. I have a small child & much food was lost. I'm currently making arrangements as best I can to get by, but having to wait almost a week just to find a technician is completely unacceptable! I don't appreciate being told different things by incompetent reps & also given the run around with unrealistic time frames. I've lost hundreds of dollars in food.

If this email does not reach someone who can step in & help, I will not stop until something is done about this.

I purchased an LG refrigerator in 2018 bc I believed in the brand. My refrigerator is only 4yrs old exactly to this month. There is NO REASON it should be giving any issues. Especially one that states 10yr guarantee. There is also NO REASON anybody should have to wait 5 days just to find a technician. And I'm sure once a technician is found, there will still be a waiting period!

LG Electronics Refrigerator

LG's customer service has been a total nightmare for me. I bought an LG refrigerator and it never produced ice. I called Best Buy to complain and they advised me to contact LG since the refrigerator was still under warranty. LG sent four different Techs to my home to repair my refrigerator and none of them were successful. The final straw was when the refrigerator started leaking freon all over my kitchen floor, one day before my daughter's high school graduation party. LG agreed to refund me for the price of the refrigerator. However, every time I call them, they tell me that the RA Department has to issue me my check and they have no way of contacting them directly(by phone). Nor can the customer contact them by phone. Everything has to be done via text or email. Moreover,they promise that someone will call me back in 72 hours and that has never happened. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN LG'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT'S THE ABSOLUTE WORST!

Desired outcome: i WANT TO RECEIVE MY REFUND CHECK!!!!!!!!!!

LG Electronics Refrigerator (craft ice maker)

The craft ice maker in my 10 month old lg refrigerator stopped working... That was 3 months ago and since then lg sent out techs that didn't fix it (once) and made 5 additional repair appts for which they never showed up! Lg's response..."we'd be glad to set up another appointment"... Then to top it off they've sent me two emails telling me my ice maker works! It doesn't! They lie and give nothing but lip service... They say someone will contact you... But they don't! And of course the given excuse after all the no show appts was...'we have no one in the area to service you" this is a criminal enterprise masquerading as a reputable corporation!

You didn't send anyone out. It was my responsibility to call you back and find out you have no one in my area to service it. I sent in all documents for the amount of 1674 to be refunded back to me. (You come up with that figure not me.) Although your own website says "allow up to two weeks to receive a check) when I call I'm told to keep waiting. You refuse to help me find out when and how much longer I need to wait. My case is closed but yet you hold my check. I need to send the proof of the check received from you townhome depot in order for them to process the rema balance of the amount I paid but still I can't get an answer other than I just have to wait. The lack of ethics you show is rather frustrating and difficult to deal with. You make people go through unnecessary stress and suffering all in hopes of thinking people will eventually give up, costing you nothing then. I am almost there. I cannot believe the games played and the amount of nonsense you expect people to do. Write letters saying you haven't received a check with your name address, write that your didn't receive the check and then sign it . It will be escalated to the team. Lol yeah someone will follow up with you in 24 to 48 hours. Haha yeah and when you call back they have no record of anything nor has your problem been sent to any such department. Just sad. I have come to the conclusion that there is probably no such thing as a refund for my case. All made up garbage to frustrate people until they stop calling and asking about a check that will never come. LG Electronics Warranty replacement part

We have been trying for several weeks to get our warranty replacement motor for our lg dishwasher which has a 10 year warranty and is only 3 years old at thsi time. Everytime we call the claims department, we are getting differnt anaswers. We have been told the claim was processessed and approved, to they are still waiting on approval, to the technician needs to apply for the claim to the technicailn needs to call to recieve the part to install. This is going on too long, and is rediculous. This is not rocket science, it is a dishwasher motor.

Desired outcome: I WANT THE PART SHIPPED TO MY HOME IMMEDIATLEY. I WILL INSTALL IT.

LG Electronics repair of seal on bottom freezer door

Last week of september, 2022. On 10/4/2022 I called LG customer service [protected] and stated freezer door would not close all the way and was beginning to defrost. Advised supervisor would be calling back that wednesday or thursday, but never heard back. I called back 10/7/2022 and stated never received call back. Customer service rep said they could have repair service come middle of november 2022, it would cost us $100.00 to $ 500.00 to examine the problem, and give an estimate of repair charges. I advised that we could not wait that long, and the freezer had leaked on our laminate floor, causing warpage.

Desired outcome: We need freezer door repaired or replaced with new refrigerator/freezer and floor repaired or replaced. Need to have a call back from supervisor to resolve issues

LG Electronics LG Dishwasher

Since installing our full set of LG kitchen appliances in Oct 2021, the dishwasher smells awful. Even after a full wash cycle, I can never tell my dishes are clean by the smell. I expect to at least smell the detergent when I open the door but that is not the case. It always smells soured, even after cleaning the filter. I've taken to holding my breath when I open it to add another dish. I have read recommendations for running a cycle with a cup of vinegar in the machine and I will try that, but I never, ever had to clean anything in my last dishwasher that was at least 20 years old. If I could find another brand dw that was this black stainless I chose to buy, I would swap it out in a heartbeat. And this one does not even have a heater for the dry cycle, so my dishes are always dripping wet at the end of an extra dry cycle. Really disappointed in the poor performance and smell of this thing.
