We bought our DVD Player/Recorder RH387-M in October last year(2008). At first everything was working fine, but after 2 months we started to get some problems; the DVD player would not read anymore discs. We called the company about this, and they sent us an email about not being able to qualify for their services despite saying on the phone that this is a very common problem with this specific model.
So for two months we were able to record onto dvd's, but little did we know that these dvds would not be readable for any other type of dvd player, we tried at least 4 different brands.
Now, not even 1 year after buying the product, all the functions are off and the DVD, for almost $300, is garbage.
Never buy any products from LG - Life is Good only for LG and not for their customers.

I had purchased a lg 1.5 ton split ac on 26/8/08.within 13 months the vulve started leaking.There is no after sales service, no free services provided from company end.I guess their relationship with customer ends as soon as they sale their product.

So much for energy saving.The dryer sensor does not sensor the center of the clothes. So after waiting 55 min. you have to set it for another 25 min. Now mind you you can't set it for another 10 or 15 min. I has to be 25. So much for energy saving.The washer, if put on a heavy load does not spin the clothes dry, so you have to rewash them for another 55 min. on normal. So much for energy saving.Just give me a good old washer and dryer without all of the ridiculous energy saving devices.

I paid 1700 for a front loading set back at the first of the year, well a month later the heating sensor went out on the dryer no big deal. i thought mabey jar in shipping. well now its october and i have had to have it fixed 5 times! this is stupid, so i call lg they say well the repair man must say it cannot be fixed for us to replace it! well it can be fixed! but its just the point i have spent more time with it not working than i have using it!so after the warranty goes out i will be stuck with getting it fixed every 3 months! so my advice is they are a nice set and i love them but i will never buy LG this has not been worth my time or my money!

DEAR SIR,

I AM A CANADIEN CITIZEN WHO RECENTLY MOVED TO KARACHI, PAKISTAN. I NEEDED SOME ELECTRONIC ITEMS SUCH AS TELEVISION AND DVD PLAYER, SO I WENT TO THE LOCAL MARKET IN SADDAR (REGAL) TO MAKE THIS PUCHASE. ON THE DATE OF 04/AUGUST/2009 I PURCHASED TWO LG 37' FLAT SCREAN LCD TELEVIONS WITH TIME MACHIENE, ONE LG DVD PLAYER AND A HOME THEATER SYSTEM FROM THE STORE OF WHICH DETAILS ARE MENTIONED BELOW IN RED. THE TOTAL BILL CAME TO PAK RUPEES 150, 000.00, I PAID IN ADVANCE THE FULL AMOUNT BY CROSSED CHECK.

AFTER DELIVERY THERE WERE FEW PROBLEMS. THE MINOR PROBLEMS WERE FIXED BY THE DELIVERY MEN. THE MAJOR PROBLEM WAS THAT ONCE THE HOME THEATER SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED THERE WERE HORISONTAL LINES APPEARING ON THE TELEVISION. THE DELIVERY MEN TRIED TO FIX IT, WHEN IT DIDN'T WORK THE OWNER OF THE STORE TOLD ME " THESE LINES ARE NORMAL, I HAVE SOLD HUNDREDS OF THESE SYSTEMS AND WHEN EVER WE INSTALL THEM THESE LINES ALWAYS COME, DON''T WORRY ABOUT IT (NO JOKE, HE REALLY SAID THIS). I OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T AGREE WITH HIM AND INSISTED FOR HIM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. HE THEN SAID THAT IF I WERE TO BUY A MORE EXPENSIVE HOME THEATER SYSTEM THEN THE LINES WOULD NOT APPEAR, I AGREED. HE TOOK BACK THE SOUND SYSTEM AND SENT ANOTHER ONE AND I PAID HIM THE DIFFERANCE OF PAK RUPEES 18, 000.00. WHEN THIS SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED AGAIN THE LINES APPEARED! THEN THE DELIVERY MEN LOOKED MORE CLOSELY AND FOUND OUT THAT ONE OF THE CABLES THEY WERE USING WAS NOT IN GOOD CONDITION.. THEY CHANGED THE CABLE AND THE LINES DISAPPEARED!

AFTER THIS PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED THERE WERE THREE MORE PENDING ISSUES:

1) THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME WARRANTY CARDS.

2) TO REPLACE THE BROKEN CABLE THEY USED THE CABLE FROM THE OTHER TELEVISION, SO THEY SHOULD GIVE ME ANOTHER CABLE TO PUT IN THE OTHER TELEVISION.

3) THE TIME MACHIEN IN ONE OF THE TELEVISIONS WAS NOT WORKING, THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED IT.

ITS BEEN 2 WEEKS NOW THAT THESE JOBS ARE PENDING. I CALL THEM 5 TO 10 TIMES A DAY! WHEN I CALL THEM THEY DON'T ANSWER, WHEN I CALL THEM FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER THEY PICK UP THEN HANG UP. WHEN I GO TO THE SHOP THEY SAY THAT WE WILL CALL YOU BUT THEN THEY NEVER CALL. THEY HAVE ALL THE MONEY AND NOW I AM NOT SURE AS TO WHAT I CAN DO.

We bought an LG refrigerator a couple years ago and have had nothing but trouble. It cost $2, 600 and was supposed to be "top of the line". It's the model with freezer on the bottom and icemaker on left side. The ice maker constantly jams, and the only way to "fix" is to remove the ice bin and then spend 1/2 hour cleaning up your entire kitchen floor from all the ice that spills all over. We've had repairmen come 3 times and they replaced a part once, but even said, the part wasn't the problem. It's the design. And LG will just keep sending someone out -- they'll say everything is fine -- and you'll go round and round in this circle. Other problems are the doors do not shut without closing them. They catch on each other. Also had a seal tear and had that replaced just recently. I really hate this refrigerator and I've never paid so much for an appliance in my life. DO NOT buy LG frig!

The Lg Refrigerator Model #Lfc23760SW One month after the warranty expired. The fridge has stopped working but the freezer is ok.
LG knows they have a poor product and that many people have had the same trouble. I will never buy an LG poroduct again. Life is not good with an LG refrigerator.

We bought an LG french door refrigerator with bottem freezer the first year they came out, I believe 2006. Ever since we have owned it, it has been nothing but problems. The shelves have cracked and one of the drawer hinges broke to the point where we had to remove the drawer. The ice maker never works. It sometimes produces ice but then freezes together and never dispenses. The water dispenser leaks all down the front of the refrigerator. The light inside has been stuck in the on position with the doors closed and heated all the food on the top shelf. We had to take out the lightbulbs to keep this from happening, so now the fridge is dark when you open up. We have also received small checks in the mail from LG as this product isn't even energy efficient as it was advertised! If all this wasn't bad enough, now it is leaking water out of the bottem of the freezer all over the tile! From everything I have read, I am not even bothering with customer service as I am sure they are of no help. Lesson learned, Never buy an LG appliance. We are going to buy a new refrigerator today and realize we wasted over $2000 for 5 years use of a horrible product. On a side note, I have also owned two LG cell phones and they are also horrible products. I will never buy an LG product again.

LG is the WORST company for electronics. They lie about their product specs on their website. I recently bought an LG Blu ray that claimed to play a multitude of media files, including MP4. The playback on MP4 was so terrible it was unwatchable. I did some online research and found many similar complaints. When I complained to them by email they responded that I shouldn't take it back because I wouldn't get a refund. I did get my refund and I will NEVER buy an LG product again. I will also never recommend them. They're the worst kind of people.

dealers force customers to buy lg products because they know the truth of lg.We should never listen to them and should by appliances from IFB, whirlpool and godrej .the products from these companies are of great quality and trust worthy unlike lg.

Ok. French door frig. I remodeled my kitchen and designed around an upcoming purchase of all LG products- top of the LG line- French door frig- microwave- electric range- dishwasher- washer - and dryer. Dishwasher broke- it was melting the rubber sealing - leaking-- After 6 visits I gave up and threw it in a trash dumpster and bought another brand. Micro-wave stopped working. Replaced the computer board 4 tines and then was told they did not make parts anymore and offered a settlement of $300 on what originally cost $1, 200 and was 2 years old with an extended warranty from Home Depot. I purchased another brand. Now refrigrator stopes cooling. After 4 trips by LG technicians and parts shipped 3 times, I was told they did not make the parts anymore and offered me a settlement of $800 on what cost $3, 800 four years ago. Warranty states 7 years on closed system compressor. No help from LG or the extended warranty with Home Depot. Washer needed 4 seals repaired and took six weeks to get that done. Electric range dining ok, but I am holding my breath. I assuming if one buys ANY appliance from LG paying for the top of their line, you can only use them for 3-4 years and then they cannot be repaired and deemed unusable! No parts! Parts not made to repair the product. I spent around $10, 000.00 for new appliances -LG- and three years later they are unusable and heading to the trash dump. Consumer relations witb LG are poor at the least. We got your money- you got screwed! Also he very aware of Home Depot, their appliances support, and extended warranties! Another screw job. Well, live and learn.

I agree, ... I have bought a LG Refrigerator (GR-M602YVQ) two years ago. The documents or the attached warranty mentioned it is covered for five years. Currently, the door of the refrigerator is not closing properly. I have contacted the customer service to investigate, they mentioned (without a professional inspection) that the door is not covered by the warranty!. Obviously the customer service is denying customer rights and escaping their duties. Of course not adequate ater-sales service may hurt the company's reputation. What should I do to protect and claim my rights as a customer.

It is well past their return policy. All BBY is doing is contacting LG customer support and requesting a return authorization. The 3 months is absurd and a delay tactic to make you go away. Go through LG directly as it is under a 1 year warranty.

I have a 47" LG LCD HGTV I paid $1, 400. for that worked for 17 months, and I'm screwed. Powers on but no video or audio, after researching on the internet I find this is a common problem with LG products, they really don't care. Never again will I ever buy another LG product and I intend to let everyone I know what kind of overall product they sell.

i am very fond of l.g. product.Hence i purchased washing machine and air conditioner But unfortunately i could not get service upto satisfaction level . In washing machine there is magnetic lock which always create trouble and reqd replacement of it.Similarly a.c. bought LSA3cg2Af1 model in April 2010. We are using it moderately . Now it is found that its pcb has burnt. You are claiming that your co.is 6 sigma. How it happened. Pl. respond

I buyed LG 42" LCD on 20-10-2011 which delivered at my home on 24-10-2011 but no one is coming for installation as we chasing the dept from 5 days but every time we get false answer.[protected]/2/3/4 from this no. we are getting call of arranging engg. but not an single engg. was arranged and giving false update that will send tomorrow.Every day same answer we get, we beleive in LG and buyed a product but never think on such an poor support.I never buy LG product from onwards and also suggest my friends, office staff as well as publish on facebook and google + such an worst support by LG.on 29-10-2011 your engg.([protected]) call us at 6.30 and said to wait at home as he reaching within 30 mins so wait for him but he didn't come on that day and also not picking up a call.So we loose the trust from LG.

lg washing machine fault they changed the entire drum of my 11kgwashing machine and still no luck and now theysay need another drum in 1 day still not replacing evev after my child got an electric shock from the machine as weaqter is leaking even when off. lg are so useless money saving and the 3 peolple at customer servive jenny and shantelle are just making me more mad as they are not tryinng to solve the issue but tell me justb to wait for engineers report which has been 5 days now and still nothing never buy LG as it means last garbage

I have purchased LG Slept Air Conditioner approx. before 1 month. In this 1 month I need to complaint to you more than twice

I have complaint today at your customer care & they committed me that they’ll get back to me within 2hr but not body contact me & still lots of gas is been leakage from Air Conditioner.

It’s very dangerous fault if just because of this problem my AC blast than who’ll be the responsible person for that problem.

You need to ensure that the instalation was done in a correct way by qualified engineers.
