This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

We bought our DVD Player/Recorder RH387-M in October last year(2008). At first everything was working fine, but after 2 months we started to get some problems; the DVD player would not read anymore discs. We called the company about this, and they sent us an email about not being able to qualify for their services despite saying on the phone that this is a very common problem with this specific model.
So for two months we were able to record onto dvd's, but little did we know that these dvds would not be readable for any other type of dvd player, we tried at least 4 different brands.
Now, not even 1 year after buying the product, all the functions are off and the DVD, for almost $300, is garbage.
Never buy any products from LG - Life is Good only for LG and not for their customers.

Purchased an LG dishwasher from Best Buy in February, 2008. Dishwasher worked great up until the day before Thanksgiving and went dead. Tried troubleshooting over the phone with LG and subsequently waited two weeks for technician to come out and take a look. Tech determine it WAS broken and then had to wait another three weeks for part. Tech installed part but still didn't fix the problem. We're now past Christmas at this point (when we needed it most). Called LG and they tell me that because the tech didn't fix it, they'll send another repair tech out to review problem. New tech looks at it, calls LG tech support and they walk him though it, sounds like it's working and walks away. I am still seeing the same results, it's not working. LG insists (all the way from INDIA) that it works. I'm at my wits end. The repair company comes back out, determines that there is still a problem and tried to contact LG to advise them the dishwasher is still not working. They said, we'll send another part. Two weeks later, we get the part, it's STILL not working. I called LG and asked what more do they need to determine that this is not repairable? They said they need confirmation from the tech. The tech called LG and they told him they have other customers to service and can't help him and HUNG UP!. So, it's now been FIVE MONTHS going back and forth with LG and Best Buy and we can't get help because the warranty is with LG who won't listen. Today, March 6, 2009 I contact LG on my way to work to ask what can I do to make them understand that my dishwasher is not fixed, several repair techs have said the same thing - customer service says, I have to send for review it will take 5 business days. I said, I've heard that before - they told me that my report went to the wrong department. So what happened when it went to the wrong department - nothing? I received a call this afternoon from the first repairman saying that I need to sign off on his work or LG wont pay him. I say for what? I'm still without a dishwasher. He said, well, if you don't sign off on the work than LG said to bill you!

During all of this, I also get a letter from LG saying the Dept of Energy tested their refridgerators and determine that the energy rating is reflected a higher usage! The same model that I purchased in the package deal of fridge and dishwasher from Best Buy. Need I go on?

I purchased an LG RH4810W DVD Recorder a few years back and soon discovered that the 80GB hard drive that it came with was too small for my needs. I contacted LG and inquired if a larger hard drive could be installed. LG stated "No, a larger hard drive can not be installed." Out of curiosity I decided to install a 200GB drive I had spare and to my surprise it was immediately detected and functioned properly. Seems like LG will say whatever they need to say to convince you to buy another product rather than upgrade your existing gear.

I have since purchased another LG DVD Recorder (SD Tuner) and straight out of the box the tuner was faulty. I took it to their authorized repair outlet in my area where they replaced the entire inside (circuit board) of the unit. When I got the unit home I plugged it in and the same problem existed.

The 69cm TV I purchased at the same time also turned out to be faulty. The screen has 2 massive dull spots where next to no colour appears, the image vibrates from side to side and on the left side of the screen the picture is compressed. This unit is also in the repair outlet. I pay $1000 and I can't even use the darn things.

Both items are currently in shop being serviced.

Needless to say I WON'T be purchasing any LG products EVER AGAIN.

I paid $325 for an LG RC199H dvd/vhs player and recorder at Best Buy. The dvd player worked properly for 2 months. I called LG over 20 times trying to get them to back up their product. They are a Korean company that sells absolute junk. I purchased my son an LG dvd player in Los Angeles at the same time I got mine. His worked about 4 months and it also will not play dvds now. I will never purchase another LG product. I do not know why they are allowed to sell their junk in the US.

REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES

Dear Sir,

1. With due respect and humble submission I wish to lay down the following few lines for your kind consideration and favourable action please.

2. It is submitted that I am army soldier and has recently been posted to Bhatinda Cantonment after a hectic five consecutive years of service at the Northern Borders with very active field formation in connection with anti-terrorism duties in the valley and followed by-from Aurangabad (Maharashtra).

3. Kindly Reference to my registered letter No 78740/ WSC/Cons dated 25 November 2004, which I sent to you on your New Delhi postal address, ie The General Manager, LG Electronics Private Ltd, Bhikaji Cama Bhavan, Bhikaji Cama Palace, New Delhi – 110 066, followed by number of reminders. However, no action has since been taken on my above correspondence and only when I sent my last letter to your Korea office, inviting personal attention of Mr Hwan Yong Nho, the then, Executive Vice President and CEO, LG Appliances (letter No 78740/WSC/Cons dated 20 Jun 2005, copy attached herewith, for your ready reference), few executives from your Bombay Branch visited my house at Aurangabad and promised me to resolve the issue (which is yet to be resolved, despite lapse of a span of five years).

4. Sir, I am very fond of LG and am a true fiancée of coveted LG Limited since last ten years or so and have already in possession of fleet of following LG products: -

(a) LG Refrigerator 220 Ltr (Master Piece) - since Jun 1999

(b) LG color Computer monitor - since Jan 2000

(c) LG Color TV (Golden Eye Magic) - since March 2000

(d) Washing Machine (Delight) LG 6 Kg WP-9032 since October 2004.

(e) LG Mobile Hand set G – 1500, since 08 October 2004.

(f) LG Convection Microwave (Intello Cook)- since November 2008.

It is pertinent here to mention here that I am in love of LG Limited since a long.

5. Sir, unfortunately few circumstances accrue and yet again recently, which made me feel cheated once again and the same was not expected from the firm which has such big name in their credits. Apart from the earlier bad experience as narrated at my letter dated 20 Jun 2005, as referred above, I again and yet again cheated by the LG Company. The recent grievances caused by the LG Company to this soldier are furnished at subsequent paragraphs.

6. On 03 Jun 2009 at about 1715hrs I produced my LG Refrigerator at Authorized Service Centre for Electronics India Pvt Ltd, People Care services, Khaddar Bhandar Street, Bathinda – 151001 (Phone No 0164 – 5006240) for certain minor repairs like gas leakage etc. The service centre kept my refrigerator for a period over a month and only returned the same on 06 July 2009 at 1800hrs. At the time of delivery following discrepancies observed which were also informed then and there to the Manager at the agency :-

(a) Deep Freezer’s door latch and Vegetable Tray found broken. After inquiring about the breakages the Manager refused to reconcile the same and rather arrogantly shouted that they have received the fridge in the same condition (in this connection please reference Job Sheet dated 3/6/09, wherein no such breakage is found mentioned).

3

(b) The Service Centre claimed that they have changed the Freezer of the Refrigerator claiming that the same was leaking. However, they have not clarified the same while depositing the Refrigerator for necessary repairs. Furthermore, the so called new Freezer has not found fitted properly and fitted/adjusted somehow. Due to wrong fittings/adjustments, the door is not being closed properly and the same was also remarked by me on the Invoice No H13679/A/2030 dated 6/7/09 (Copy attached for ready reference). Although, they have claimed that the Freezer has been changed, on asking whereabouts of the original freezer they have provided the one which is not I repeat NOT belongs to mine. Due to this (being the wrong fittings of the freezer and the refrigerator door is not being closed), the Refrigerator gets extensively HOT always. I have also compelled to pay heavy repair charges tuning to Rs 2044 (Rupees Two thousand and forty four only). Also refer my following complaints (which were attended by the Service Engineer from the Service Centre and he too remarked in his Job Sheet about WRONG FITTING of Fridge) :-

(i) N-9C-[protected] dated 09/07/09.

(ii) N-9C-[protected] dated 10/07/09.

It is pertinent to mention here that no action has been taken by the LG so far to rectify the above problem at all.

7. We have purchased a 32” LG LCD Television and on the same day the scheme of gift of DVD Player and a 50 Movies DVD Pack absolutely free. The relevant contents of the advertise published in Times of India on the same day is furnished as under for your perusal and scrutiny :-

“With a series of exciting offers for you, the ICC World T20 Tournament will be even more fun. Just buy an LG LCD or Plasma TV and take home a DTH Connection with 6 months subscription”, DVD Player and 50 Movies DVD Pack absolutely free. And that’s not all, you also get an attractive exchange offer on your old CTV. Go for it and cheer for your country”.

8. However, the Authorized CSD Dealer in Bhatinda, M/s Maheshwari Marketing, 46, Near Hanuman Chowk, The Mall, Bathinda (Phone 0164 – 2254203, 2236864, 2235620 and 2251373) denied the above gifts to me and rather gave the excuses like these schemes are not applicable for the purchases made on CSD. Despite number visits and attempts he denied the gifts (mentioned above), which are very much prescribed for every purchases.

9. In the context of above entire episode may I request you to compensate me with the following :-

(Remedies for my earlier application dated 25 Jun 2005) :-

(a) Offer me suitable replacement gift item (bearing the highest price, during that period when the scheme was in vogue) for the another modak, denied to this soldier.

(b) Compensate me Rs 940/- (Rupees nine hundred forty only) towards the balance of cost of gifted glassware set (1, 150/- (-) 210/- = Rs 940/-)

(Remedies for my predicaments as mentioned at Paragraphs 6 (a), (b), 7 and 8 above) :-

(c) Arrange to replace the Freezer, Vegetable Tray, and Door Panel at the earliest.

(d) Arrange to refurbish and repaint the complete Refrigerator (as the refrigerator I received from the firm is of very shabby conditions and lot of scratches/ signs of rough handling has been found on the refrigerator.

(e) Refund me Rs 2, 044/- without any representations and hassles as the same have been levied upon me recklessly.

(f) Arrange to provide the advertised free gifts against the purchase of 32” LG LCD Television.

5

10. Sir, despite being cheated and compelled to suffer a lot of TRAUMA, I still believe that I will be compensated suitably by the coveted LG Company at this juncture rather than thinking of taking the matter to any other agency like Media, or Consumer Forum ASAP. This will also not only burry all the ill-feelings about the LG amongst we all soldiers but also regain the faith, fame and proud of being the owner of coveted LG products.

REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES

Respected Sir,

1. With due respect and humble submission I wish to lay down the following few lines for your kind consideration and favourable action please.

2. It is submitted that I am a poor soldier and has recently been posted to Aurangabad after a hectic five consecutive years of service at the Northern Borders with very active field formation in connection with anti-terrorism duties in the valley.

3. Sir, I am a true fiancée of coveted LG Limited and have already in possession of following LG products: -

(b) LG Refrigerator 220 Ltr (Master Piece) - since Jun 1999

(c) LG color Computer monitor (Studio - since Jan
2000)

It is pertinent here to mention here that I am in love of LG Limited since a long.

4. Sir, unfortunately few circumstances accrue recently, which made me feel deceived and the episode was not expected from the firm which has such big name in their credits. I have booked following two LG products from your authorized dealer, M/s Saniya Distributors, Soniya Chambers, Aurangabad on 27 September 2004 and took them home on

2

08 October 2004, during the period when LG Popular Scheme “Ganpati Modak Phodo Enam Pao” on every purchase of LG products was in vogue (Photostat copy of Bill No 2120, attached for your ready reference and perusal please) :-

(a) Washing Machine (Delight) LG 6 Kg WP-9032.

(b) LG Mobile Hand set G – 1500.

But the dealer handed over me only one modak on the pretext that this scheme is valid on only selected products and not on every products, which is not only inappropriate but also very disgusting in the instant episode who knows I could have won a car on the modak denied to me.

5. Furthermore, when the single modak offered to me, it was broken by my son (Nikhil Wagh, age 08 years) and the dealer and his associates and one of my collegue congratulated me that I have won a Milton Eternia TreO glassware set worth a value of Rs 1, 150/- (One thousand one hundred fifty only). A yellow price-slip worth Rs 1, 150/- was also found affixed on Maximum MRP. On reaching home number of my soldier colleagues with their spouses gathered around us to congratulate us on being the proud purchaser of above LG products and also having won a gift worth Rs 1150/-. But the ill episode followed suddenly, when my son removed the yellow slip from the gifted cartoon (Milton TreO Glassware set) and found that the price of that particular item was Rs 210/- (Rupees two hundred and ten only). We (I myself and my wife) feel ashamed and our friends made mockery of us. This was not expected from the coveted LG at all. This incident gave us the feelings of being deceived. I myself feel very disappointed, disgusted and also have the feelings of being cheated by the reputed firm. Our friends who were present over there, also suggested me to protest the matter with Consumer Courts etc but the name and fame of LG prevented me from doing so and I am advancing my predicaments to your favour for redressal.

6. In the context of above entire episode may I request you to compensate me with the following :-

(a) Offer me suitable replacement gift item (bearing the highest price, during that period when the scheme was in vogue) for the another modak, denied to this poor soldier.

(b) Compensate me Rs 940/- (Rupees nine hundred forty only) towards the balance of cost of gifted glassware set (1, 150/- (-) 210/- = Rs 940/-)

7. This will not only will ensure to burry all the ill-feelings about the LG amongst we all soldiers but also regain the faith, fame and proud of being the owner of coveted LG products.

6. Thanking you in anticipation, Sir.

I called LG Pakistan, a service center located in Saddar Karachi with their telephone number [protected]. I called for a job order that I placed on April 20, 2009. The technician came and charged Rs. 200 for the AC Split checkup. This was the company policy. I agreed to it.

1. I told the person to call me before coming. Which I never received a call. Someone came and took the indoor and outdoor unit to the service center in Saddar.
2. I called after 2 weeks and spoke to Mr. Sohail in the service center. He is the main person to dispatch all the job orders. He dispatched the wrong unit.
3. Mr. Sohail told me that the order will be delivered by Mr. Faheem and Mr. Sohail gave me Mr. Faheem's number. I called and he said he is not aware of it.
4. The indoor and outdoor unit arrived on May 8, 2009. The indoor unit was broken. I sent it back to the service center.
5. I called May 11, 2009 and I complained that what's going on and why it has not be delivered yet.
6. He actually said "you can complain to anyone you like... No one can do any thing. You can do whatever you want"...

The threat I received from Mr. Sohail shows that the LG Pakistan is not capable of hiring a professional. Instead they hire cheap labor and unethical employees.

As of this point I have no idea where is my indoor unit and outdoor unit.

LG has the worst appliances. I have purchased Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, washer and dryer after Sandy. So first. off ..the over the range Microwave was DEAD on arrival and had to be replaced after the LG technician spent over 2hrs trying to fix it even though i told them that i wanteda brand new one since it was dead in the box. Now the replacement microwave has died after 18months the circuit board went and LG has had me jump through hoops to get them paperwork of purchase only to tell me that its out of warranty. 2nd issue is that my refrigerator was leaking water and ice melting after 3 months of use- only to find out that there was a factory issue and they honored that and fixed it. 3rd issue was the dishwasher started to leak after 13 monthsofuse...it appears that the rubber gasket moves and that cost me $100 service fee because it happened on month 13 of ownership. So far I have 3 appliances out of 6 that (knock on wood) have not had a problem... so with 50% having issues - I highly recommend NOT buying LG appliances !

LG has a gas dryer recall notice stating that a component is not operating correctly and may cause damage to the clothing.
We submitted a claim for some clothing that shrunk and it was denied because they could not prove the dryer caused the shrinkage. These shirts are new this year, since I purchased the dryer.
How many people have the same claim with the same response.

We purchased a LG Tromm Dryer on 7/22/06, we purchased the four (4) year extended warranty also. On August 4, 2010 the dryer would quit tumbling. We called the number on our warranty info which was A&E Factory Service. A technician was scheduled to come out for repair on Saturday 8/7/2010 the repair tech came out and did nothing but diagnose the problem. He was not able to go to a supply company and get the motor (against policy) he would have to order the parts, it would be 1-3 business days before they would be in. I asked to have the parts shipped overnight since it was warranty, his answer was "No". I told him I would pay for difference in the shipping cost, his answer was "No", against policy. I offered to do the legg work and find the part and go get it, again, his answer was "No", against policy. I was quite unhappy. On Monday 8/9/2010 I received a call from Darius with A&E in Texas, he was calling to see how our repair service went on Saturday. I explained to him I was not happy about the parts not being shipped over night. I was told it was not policy. He checked on the parts and showed they were ordered but did not have a tracking number, he told me parts were shipping from TX and should arrive in CO tomorrow (Tuesday) and the tech was scheduled to come back and install them on Wednesday. He also told me I could call on Tuesday for a tracking number. The repair tech showed up on Wednesday during his scheduled time, without parts. He told my husband th e parts were shipped to our home, we did not have the parts. He called to check on the parts, came back in and told us the parts were our for delivery with UPS so we would have them sometime that day. He left his number and ask us to call when the parts arrived and he would come back later and install them. The parts never showed up, I called A&E Factory customer service that evening to have them track the parts. I spoke with Sylvia in TX, she informed me the parts had just been ordered that day on 8/11/2010 and would arrive in 1-3 business days, the tech was schedule to return on Monday 8/16. She would not over night the parts, against policy. She was not very helpful at all and very disconcerned about my dryer problem. I had her transfer me to her supervisor, his name was Roger, he was even less help than the other employees and he was quite rude. I called back and spoke to another CS Rep and asked to be transfered to another supervisor other than Roger. She suggested I speak to someone in the Esculating Dept. There, I spoke with Anthony who was still not helpful but quite nice and caring. I still have a dryer that is not working. My advice is do not buy an extended warranty, it is not the paper it is written on and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASSURANCE SOLUTIONS OR A&E FACTORY SERVICE. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE BOTTOM LINE. NOT TAKING CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS IN A TIMELY MANNER! THEY SUCK AT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have purchased the Lg high defination lcd 32" last year fro Janta Electronics Sector-41 Chandigarh. We wanted to but sony lcd but the dealer has forced us to buy an LG product with assurance of good product and services. But there is one straitr line started reflecting on the screen of the lCD.no.of times we have contacted the Customer care the executive who visited our place said that ful pannel will be replaced.and it would cos somewhere around Rs 12000/.This is really very strange that a product which is one of the best product of lg shows that much problem and firstly we have to puchase the Lcd and bear the LCD cost and then due to the company problem we have to bear another cost. Please look into the matter urgently. It really forces us to take the help from the court.

I bought a Refrigerator in the month of March and within a months time it started giving problems. It started with the problem that the motor used to switch off and then the cooling became minimum and then stopped cooling at all. I lodged a complain with the Dealer but he refused to acknowledge the fact and gave me customer service Managers number. Speaking to him did help, after four days he sent some one to see what the problem was. Gentleman who had come was arrogant beyond words and he told me compressor had an issue.after three more days of long wait in the month of Apr-May without a refrigerator someone came who removed the entire compressor out and dismantled the entire fridge and left it unmanned. He came after three after many verbal communications from me with the LG manager in chennai.Compressor is replaced but i still have issues with the product.

I went through a complete ordeal for buying a fridge from LG.main reason investing in it was a prompt service but looks like it is service all the way through.

We were given an LG Refrigerator a few years ago by our parents as a Christmas Gift. The unit was very nice and worked fine for a little over a year. When the Ice maker quit, we contacted and got local repairman. He had to come out 5 times, each time trying something factory was telling him, or would have to come out after waiting months to get parts. Finally they told him it was probably in harness and could not be repaired. LG says that because of warranty only year that we were more or less, out of luck.
I know that sometimes there are lemons that sneak by. However, I feel that as a major manufacturer, you should try and assist your customer. I am not asking for free refrigerator. I do think that LG should offer a comparable unit or even one of the older units similar to ours
Maybe I am old school, and expect companies to stand by their expensive products.

TV blew up on December 19th, 2006 under manufacturer warranty. Service center picked it up on the 20th. Parts were ordered and was informed on January 3rd, 2007 that TV could not be fixed and the RA process would start. On Jan. 9th LG told service center that parts were now available, but when they tried to order them they were not available and LG started another RA process. I called to follow up several times and finally received RA letter on January 26th, but there was no RA number on it that is required to return old tv and purchase new tv. I called LG and was told it would take 3-5 days to get number from LG corporate. I called back everyday for the next week so that I would be sure to have a new TV before Superbowl. As I expected it came down to 6-7 calls on Friday up to 5:00pm and still no RA number. There is no customer service at LG, it should just be called data entry because no one has authority to do anything to satisfy a customer. Even when finally got the RA department manager she could not get an RA number and was as inadequate as the rest of the department employees.

The crisper drawers are freezing. We have had to throw away a lot of food due to this. This is the second major problem we have had with this ver expensive refrigerator. The first one was that the light would not shut off. That was eventually fixed. I would never buy an LG appliance again.

we recently purchase a 1.5 T LG Ac on the April, which was installed on the April 2010. Today is 3rd June, and its harldy over a month, the AC doesnt have any chilling effect. We have raised the complaints with the service center Call centre, they have no answers except, they will send the technician home. Its been couple of days, 2 of the technicians came and did nothing, but told us, the gas is low. There's been no action taken so far and leakage of gas in a 1 month old AC, reflects so badly at the quality of the product. To top it, we dont have the service center technicians looking into it. We realise, its a mistake that we have trusted such a big brand. The investment's been a waste, plus its consuming our time and energy in following up with the technicians. Hope this comment is also seen by the LG authorities, and they realise, that individually we might not be able to do much, but together, we can prove that customers are the real king. Me as a single person, might not be an asset to the firm, but i am going to recomment to all my family and friends never to buy LG product, if this is the product quality and treatment we get. Also, i am going to post as much complaints in blogs. We should not take up poor service, when we are paying hefty prices for the product, which guarentees, 3 yrs waranty and fre service etc. Let these companies atleast not boast of false promises and assurances that they give about their products.

I have the Lg front loader at first I loved it. Then I realized that all of the clothes were smelling of mold. After investigation I found mold had formed inside the rubber in the front and the drain was also plugged with mold. I cleaned all of the filters and they wre all green with moldy waater. I ran a load of bleach only and this worked for about a month and it is doing this again. After spending that much money on a washer I would not expect this problem.

I purchased a LG Choc phone on November28/07. I had a problem on the 30th, which i returned to the store to address. The representative told me, , i did not know how to use this phone, and it was a battery, and I was a compulsive shopper, indicating the phone was my fault. She installed a new battery and did not offer to replace it as they advertise, or let me upgrade it..
Though less then pleased I took the phone back. Then on the 27 of December 07, I took it back again, as it went completely dead... with in a month of purchase.. so then they sent it away for repair, and gave me a loaner old phone.
It took 6 weeks or little more to get my " new" phone back, and I lost my photos, music i had purchased from their company..from a recent vacation.
I took my " new " repaired phone back and trtied not to think about the hassle the representative gave me..
The phone lasted a little while and then it died again, so was return Again and I have not gotten it back yet..
My phone and LG CHocolate has been boughten in Nov and I figured out that in 20 weeks since purchase I had it only 10 weeeks or less...
My Advise would be to Never Ever Buy a LG product, nor use BC Tel or Tac mobily ever.. Neither stands behind their product, orservice..

Do NOT buy LG appliances! Period. We bought high end LG stainless steel dishwasher and microwave. Both died within 6 months and TransGlobal (the company that repairs LG in Canada) has terrible service. The motor went in our dishwasher and we waited 4 weeks to have it replaced (it was only 6 months old). It's still not cleaning the dishes in the upper rack. The microwave died a few weeks later - power supply went. LG's quality is terrible. Don't even consider buying LG.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator with a freezer on the bottom in May of 2005 from Best Buy on 20th street and Camelback in Phoenix and in January 2008 it died. I was told that it was the condenser coils and was designed poorly causing the coils to rust a hole int he water pan. I would not buy and LG and warn anyone who is thinking of doing so. there customer services is horrible english is not a first language and you cant escalate or talk to anyone who actually can help you. Another example of a big company who manufactures garbage for hardworking people. I have made it a mission to spread awareness about LOG refrigerators and will make sure i do as much knowledge sharing as possible.

I own two televisions from this company and one washing machine. The golden eye television stopped working after 8 years of good work. I called the service center in my state [J and K] and they responded promptly. In the same period my 1.5 year old washing machine stopped working. the service boy was very cordial and got both working in a day. The charge 2200 hundred rupees. Within one month both stopped working again. The service boy came and worked on them and charged 1900 rupees. The tv is not working and the washing machine intermittently. I called him and he took the board from inside the tv saying he would be back in a day. Despite repeated calls he has not returned for over a month. What crooks are they employing to fleece customers!

Im so beyond mad ..

We bought a new LG stove 1 yr ago, well the oven and 3 burners stopped working all of a sudden over 1 month ago.
The day it happened i called home depot where i bought it and they said i had purchased a extended 4 yr warranty so it is covered some one will contact me within 48 hours to come and fix it ok i said.

Next day noone called me, next day no call still finally i called LG and they gave me a number to the company they "hire" out to do repair work. I call them and they schedule a appt for someone to come out took them a week to show up.. then the guy doesn't even look at my stove he says oh whats wrong i told him he said oh ya its the control board...

OK why couldn't you have told me that 1 week ago when we spoke and you could've ordered the part then?
He had no answer.. so weeks go by no calls no nothing from them. When i had called them they were so so rude.

In the mean time we've been eating out and making mirco wave crap cause we have 1 and a half burners that work and no oven!

Long story short they still havent fixed it this was over a month ago ... I called they said oh we just got the part in we can schedule for some one to come out on the 25th?

So i will have been almost 2 months no stove are you kidding me ? why pay for a extended warranty if you cant get the stuff fixed?

The company they hired out is either lazy or way to busy ughhh i am so irritated

What should i do? Is this even right or fair?

I bought a new 50 inch plasma tv About 2 weeks later I noticed a green bar on left side The store had me call LG service in Alabama The LG service had me call long distance to a service company The service company called back. but never came out A month went by I again called service company, they had no record, LG had record and finally called another service provided No one called after a week. I ended up driving 70 miles each way to Atlanta to swap the TV A 50 inch is having not to speak of the $80 in gas.

LG never did service tv and their customer support had no clue as what service is including management which never followed up. I have 3 LG appliances and hope they don't break as the service center does not work.

Think twice before buying LG products!

I have a LG washing machine purchased in 2012. There is water building up in the area that the bleach goes. I try to clean it out and it comes back after every wash. It is stagnant and smells like sewage. I contacted LG for advise and was told to do a tub clean cycle and to wipe it down. I have done this already. Obviously there is a manufacturing defect. The did not offer any free service to fix the problem. This is horrible for a machine that was roughly $1000. My laundry room is son the second floor near the bedrooms and there is a nasty sewage smell from the machine. There really needs to be a recall for the problem but the company really doesn't want to do anything to help with the problem.

ABSOLUTELY CALLOUS, RUDE, DISCOURTEOUS, FURIOUS, OFFICIALS OF L.G. KHAJURLA NEAR PHAGWARA (JALANDHAR OFFICE), LG Electronics(I) Pvt. Ltd. Opp Jassi Market, Village Khajurla, Near TVS Godown, G T Road Jallandhar

Respected Sir/Madam,

I went to LG office /Area Depot Village Khajurla, Near Phagwara to make a query regarding LG26LX7R LCD Screen. I hope this is the number, mostly the dealers specify it as 7R. As there was a difference in the price in the market of Rs. 6,000/- for the same product, I went there to enquire about the matter and wanted to purchase the product. As the market is quoting the price starting from Rs. 27,000, with variation to Rs. 28,500/-, 29,500/- Rs 30,500/-, 31,500/- & again Rs. 32,500/-. As there is difference of more than 20% for the same product in the same town. I became curious to know the fact. In this process how I became the victim of callous, rude, discourteous behaviour of officials of LG. The tale begins as under:

1. On 1st Jan 2008, I went to LG Office at Khajurla to make the query with the concerned Manager. Firstly the Security Guard was reluctant to reply anything. Any how he told me that today is off-day so no staff member is there.

2. On 1st Jan the company’s depot was also closed.

3. On 2nd Jan again I went to Company’s depot first. The official directed me to contact to the Office. Then I went to Khajurla office of LG Company.

4. Ond 2nd Jan, I requested to the Security Guard that I want to see the Manager. He said why & Who are you? I said that I am a customer and want to purchase an LCD Tv, so I have come to get the query. He said go to the market and get the knowledge from the dealers. On my insitences somehow he permitted me to go to office.

5. Then I met with receptionist and said that I want to see the Manager. She enquired Why? & Who I am. I repeated my purpose that I want to purchase the LCD and told her that I am a customer. She said “No”. You are not allowed. I requested her again and told her that previously I have purchased One Tv, One Refrigerator, One A.C. and the concerned Manager had arranged the deal. She said O.K. I just talk to the Manager. She went inside and came back and said the Manager? Who Manager? I said Mr. Sachdeva. She said O.K. She went inside and told me that the Manager will not meet you. Then I handed my Visiting Card to her that Specified that I am Distt. President of Bahujan Samaj Party (Khatri Wing). Then again she went in and said the Manager will not meet you.

6. After a few minutes an official came out Mr. Ashutosh Sharma [protected], He enquired the subject. I said I want to see Mr. Sachdeva. He enquired the reason. I told him the purpose. As he moved inside to enquire from Mr. Sahdeva as I tried to accompany him. He said Go outside. As I had just put a step inside the office I was made to Go Outside. I came out, after a few minutes the person named Mr. Ashutosh Sharma came out and said that you can not see Mr. Sachdeva. I requested him to arrange for the LCD. He told me that there is no Sales Personnel in the office at present. I shall make you a call shortly. After the expiry of 36 hours no one has called me.

GENERAL:

1. I must not forget to mention that the officials of LG are absolutely callous, rude & discourteous.

2. Is it that Sales Manager & the staff has been employed with a lesson of rude behaviour.

3. L.G. is dealing with the consumer durable products which have service Orientation. IS IT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE?

4. Whether the need is only from customer side & Sales Officers and LG officials are least bothered to manage customer.

5. Whether we the customers are not more than a mud that has no existence. It is Punjabi couplet “Roori de wi din badlde hun”. That the dust (After harvesting wheat crop) changes its time. As when it gets the help of the wind it reaches to the head who press it regularly.

6. Why LG officials ARE FURIOUS. Is it because the cusomer came from lower caste & had not asked permission to enter in his office. Though Mr. Sachdeva belongs to a caste which is prominently called “Refugee” or “Jhangi” in our community & I belong to a prestigious caste Khatri with Doaba based ancestors. Our ancestors have never sold cowdung cakes as Mr. Sachdeva’s community had been selling.

7. Though I never met Mr. Sahdeva, he must be living in inferiority complex. As this community had been deprived off from sitting nearby. That’s why he tries to behave like this.

8. I had not gone to get any sort of the alm from Mr. Sachdeva. Now I understand why our forefathers hate this Aroras (Sachdeva Caste people) because they people don’t have etiquettes to move in society.

The Sale & Purchase is the secondary point. The first point which all the advanced countries officials favour. That they people regard the Customer and don’t misbehave with the customers like LG Officials.

I hope that the LG officials will investigate the matter.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

(Rajneesh Madhok)

I have an LG 86OO
SN 710KPCAO147923
I have sent my phone in for repair twice now and I am still faced with the same problem. The bluetooth is failing to stay connected. I have been without my phone for 12 weeks this year so far. As a customer, I am very dissatisfied. Telus has offered me another phone at the cost of $50. I don't think that I should be required to pay anything. I would like my phone replaced to avoid another length of time without it. Although I was given a loner phone, it did not have the features that I had previously paid for. Thankyou for your attention.

I also purchased an LG Washing Machine at Best Buy and within five months, the washing machine started pouring water from the soap dispenser. LG's customer service is in the Phillipines, therefore, their appointments for service are usually based on a contractual service that may not service your area. It took over one month after four service appointments and our home flooding from the 2nd floor to the first for LG to finally request Best buy to issue a credit. It took multiple telephone calls and persistence on my part. Best Buy instead gave me store credit instead of issuing a refund back to my credit card. I would not recommend LG or Best buy for any major appliance purchase.

I have a LG front load washer purchased in Feb 2008. Washer has broken shaft on steel drum and damage to plastic drum cover. When I contacted LG for warranty which states stainless steel drum has lifetime warranty, I was referred to a Sears repair technician and told the shaft was not covered. Poor quality and warranty coverage not clear. Will not purchase another LG washer.
