I recently made a purchase at the new Bad Boy store in Kitchener. I paid for the item in full (unfortunatley). A couple days later I returned to the store to cancel my order and only then was made aware that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I was not entitled to a refund, only an in store credit that is only valid for one year. This was a suprise to me, as Bad Boy does not advertise this in the newspaper flyers, or do they post this information in their store. The only place I could find the words ALL SALES FINAL was when the sales person showed me this on the receipt that I signed when I made the purchase. It is in very small print at the very bottom of the receipt. Who do they expect to see that? Anyway, I just want to make other buyers aware of the Bad Boy policy, since Bad Boy themselves does not tell the consumer about this policy until after the purchase, when they want to cancel the order. What a crock! Needless to say I am now out over $600.00 because I refuse to go back to this store again.

I hope you think twice before making a purchase at Bad Boy. This kind of policy will not last in Kitchener. I am positive Bad Boys doors will be closed in less than a year.

London location, I'm not getting into all the crap we have put up with, let's just say $7000.00 aprox spent there, ### service b.s excuses and wish we had read up on complaints first! DO NOT BUY FROM BAD BOYS ! I have never ever seen this type poor quality service and low brow behavior ever. I guess that low life company could care less cause people like me are to stupid to look up any complaints until after problems start.

Buyer BEWARE!
I went into the Burlington store of "BAD BOYS", looking for a 3 pc set, sofa, chair, and love seat. I found a set that I liked and paid cash that same day. The chair was the only piece not in stock, and it would be 2-3 weeks to get the chair in. I went back 3 weeks later and found that the set I choose would be too dark for the floors in my house, so I picked out another set that just happened to be on sale. This new set was $500 cheaper. After the transaction was done, I was then told I would not recieve any cash refund, but only would be allowed an in-store credit.
I paid cash for this.
So now to get my money back I have to buy something else from them, or let them have my money. I don't want anything else from their store. EVER!
Tell the world... BEWARE of Bad Boys.

This is a consistant problem at all of there locations. Ive dealt with them many years ago, the truth is they are CROOKS! Before it was Lastman's BadBoys they went banqrupt several times. Unfortunatly I purchased prior to this and was waiting on taking posession of my new home. To make a long story short, they closed there doors on me and I lost $4700. 00 They reopened soon after under "new management" I found out that they were running a family business and another brother took it over. Very very poor management. They are a bunch of scammers! hence there name "BADBOYS"
Folks please do not purchase from them, go to a place like Leons, The Bay or The Brick they are bigger companies with policies in place and they have customer service. I know they all have there share of problems but its a safer route to take.

DO NOT SHOP AT BAD BOYS KITCHENER OR AT ANY OTHER BAD BOYS LOCATION!

I have the same unhappy experience too! I bought a set of sofa from Bay Boy on September9. They told me they were coming in two weeks. Until today I got nothing. If you call, they will say they know nothing, or blamed the manufacture. One month passed. They broke their promise. I am still waiting. What can we customers do in case of this situation? Can we call any department or agency who has the power to stop them? Thanks!

NEVER EVER BUY FROM THESE GUYS . THEY ARE REALLY BAD.
I bought a sofa and love seat and was told that sofa is not in stock but love seat is. They said the sofa will be available in 2 weeks and they can deliver the love seat now and sofa in two week. How nice it sounds!
Guess what they forced the love seat on us and it has been over 14 weeks and we have still not received the sofa. Every time you call they will have a different information. They kept blaming the manufacturer in China. I aksed them to take the love seat back and refund the money, they wouldn't do that either. It seems it is a normal thing for them to just say that it is delayed. Every person you talk to would give a different story and they are all trained to tell lies. There is no concept of customer service. They are very nice to new customers, once they sell and take your money, their eyes goes on their forehead.
They will keep on passing you from one manager to another. They will never come on the phone and always tell you that will give you a call back. They will never call.
PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE AROUND AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND DEAR ONES SO THAT THEY DONT GO THROUGH THE AGAONY OF BAD BOY... AS THEY REALLY ARE "BAD BOYS"

These complaints aren't limited to that location. Today we had a couch delivered that was purchased from the Barrie location. We were told by the sales lady that the item would be one piece and that $50 delivery fee was worth it. We confrimed that the item would be from THAT location and she agreed. So we left and came home to make sure this couch would fit into our basement apartment. We called back the next day and ordered it. Today comes along and the drivers were fantastic however the couch looked kind of small. We realized that we have to assemble it ourselves (I could have fit it in my SUV, why did I pay for delivery?). So 2 hours later I have this damn couch together. Of course! Its missing a back cushion. We promptly call Customer service to complain not only of the missing piece but the rip off of a delivery charge. They tell us that the ONLY thing we can do is have one delivered on Tues between 9-5. Excuse me? You want me to take time off work for your screw up? So I decide to attempt to recover the delivery charge or get some compensation for this. Maybe I was being unfair but I think that refunding the $50 fee for a botched service isnt a huge thing to ask. The manager of the location was unwilling to do ANYTHING to keep us happy new customers. "Can we have the cushion off the floor model?". "No sir we need that for sales purpose. Thats what we show customers". Nice... Well they have lost one family as customers and hopfully more thanks to my Facebook account. I like the nice low prices but the delivery service and customer service is about as useful as a garden shovel in a snow storm.

The short story… we bought a sectional couch from Bad Boy on Victoria St in Kitchener 4 weeks ago and paid in full. (dumb move but we weren’t given another option) It was supposed to be ready or pick up this week. I called to check on the status and I was told it was out of stock and discontinued. I went to get my cash back and they refused to give us our money back. The guy in charge said we bought a discontinued product so it is up to the manger to make the decision regarding us getting our money back or NOT. He said I had to leave and come back another day as the “manager” was not in. We stood our ground & refused to leave and they called the “manager” at home and we got our refund FINALLY after arguing for quite a while.

I would advise that no one buys anything from them. There are lots of nightmares stories just like ours all over the internet about this Kitchener Bad Boy store. They really are slimy, lying crooks.

Seems like there are a few bad mattress stores in Kitchener. I purchase a tempur-pedic mattress from SLEEP-EZZ in kitchener and when it was delivered the toxic smell (which we were not warned about) was so bad I couldn't even go in the room. I contacted the store and they told us the smell would go away in a few days. Well it didn't, so I contacted the store again. The manager there told me it was all in my head and I was too sensitive. (Nice customer service- insulting your customer that just spent $6000 on a mattress!) In fact he was very confrontational and disrespectful with me right from the beginning of the conversation. I've never experienced such rudeness and bad customer service in my life!
The smell didn't actually go away until 7 MONTHS later! Can you believe that! We were not warned of this at all and if we were we wouldn't have bought this mattress. Tempur-pedic was no help either as they did nothing to refund the mattress. Too make matters worse I was pregnant at the time and was even told to sleep on this mattress (as this was the only way to get rid of the smell) even though it had made me sick! Who tells a pregnant women to sleep on a mattress that makes her sick! So after spending $6000, I couldn't sleep on the mattress and I couldn't even sleep in my own room! Looks like the local businesses like SLEEP EZZ are no better than the big chain stores either! Next time I think I'll go to Sleep Country. A more reputable mattress store stands by their products and doesn't insult their customers after they got their money.

Bad Boys is the worst place ever! I bought a 100% bonded leather couch set, put a deposit on it for them to hold it till i could pick it up for my new house, a week later i get a phone call from Joseph from the burlington store telling me that he thought he should call to just let me know that the couch set is actual vinyl, he said he just wanted to tell me so if anyone came over, who knew anything about leather would tell me it was fake. But for the hour in the store i was gaurented it was what was advertised... From Leo(salesman) older then the coming of christ and dumb as hell! Anyways so far im out $250 and pissed off . The store sucks and if this is how Lastman runs his store just think how good of a mayor he is!

We bought two new items (KitchenAid fridge and range) at the North York store were a clearance sales. The delivery was on time and date. BUT ALWAYS INSPECT INCH BY INCH BEFORE YOU ACCEPT ANY ITEMS. Items did not come in paper box (in wrapper). If you in doubt, do not accept untill you get a good explaination from Bad Boy. In our case, Items appeared new, but I suspected the items were from refurbished stock. Scratches on the range handle. Dirt covered on top of the range and finger print on both face of the stainless steel. Instruction menu no where to be found. Call the customer service is a joke, they insead these items are new and refuse to take investigation. Then call KitchenAid > they said talk to store sale or manager or complain to ... endless conversation going no where. My recommendation is to by at the store where there is a ## days satifaction guarranty and return policy with no question ask.

I also purchased a Dresser from the Whitby store. When the dreser arrived it was packaged, however when we un rapped it there was so much damage to it was standing on one leg. It looked like it had been thrown hard to the floor. I called immediately and it went directly to the general delivery mailbox( oh how convenient!) I called and called, finaly a young woman told me oh well, "how do we know that you didnt damage it" I completely lost my mind, other storse will unwrap there goods in front of you to make sure it is in good condition, I had it loaded onto our truck and drove it straight back to the store. Oh what a cool reception I got, I should mention that I took it on a six month payment plan. I called the sales woman over and told her it was in our truck and for them to unliad it an take a look at it, they did, eventually the manager appeared and offered us a discount, my husband is in the trades and is very handy, "no way" it was a piece of junk, and I swear it was not the same item that was on the floor. Ayway they took it back and cancelled the order. Remember that I put it on a paymnet plan, well the twit that cancelled the order did not spell my name correctly when she placed the order in the first place to the financing company. Since then I have been advised that the credit bureau thinks I have changed my name, OMG! are you kidding me, what a mess trying to get someone to understand that it was the result of Bad Boy mis spelling my name. Oh and forget about going back and getting them to correct it!

Like others we are still awaiting the remainder of our dinette set.
Like others here we are always told the manager is in a meeting or home sick when we call.
Like others here we will never shop at bad boy again and I will tell everyone I know to skip this place.

Is there some way we can organize against them? Would a call to our MP help?

wow, I wish I would have known about this message board before we purchased (but have not received) our dinette set.

And yes, whenever you call to talk to a manager he is either in a meeting or away sick that day. This place is nearly criminal in the way it does business.

We have been all summer without the full dinette set.

We purchased a Dining room table and chair set. I was told we have 5 years warranty on it through Magi-Seal an extented warranty company that Bad Boy Furniture uses. I was told that the table is covered for gouges, scratches water marks etc. I called to have the table looked at and now they are saying due to the extensive damage they don't want to replace it? Why offer extended warranty if you can't honor it? Maybe that's why they are called Bad Boy?

Purchased a couch and loveseat from Bad Boy in Burlington for $1400.00 taxes, delivery and a 5-year service plane included. Paid a $400.00 deposit. On the day of delivery, we rec'd 2 loveseats and were forced to pay another $300.00 or they would take both back. Paid the $300.00 and returned the extra loveseat. Were told they would be back with our couch. 2 days went by with nothing. Contacted the supervisor Heather at Bad Boy and was told she would look into it and me back. 2 days later I had to call her back. She apologized for “forgetting” me. Told me that when the original bill was written up that the salesperson indicated in error 2 loveseat codes…hence the 2 loveseats. Then she informs me that the matching couch has been “discontinued and the manufacturer has gone out of business”. Told me to come into the store to see if there was another set we might like in its place and that they would make us a “very good” deal considering all the trouble we’d experienced. My husband and I went in a few days later and picked out another set almost identical to the one we originally purchased. The store manager Joseph took $200.00 off that set which brought the total, with HST to $1198.00. So simple math would show that we've paid $700.00 and the new set is $1198.00 so the total owing is now $498.00. Ahhh but this is where is gets fun again. On our original purchase we had the 5-year protection plan and shipping included. Joseph informed us that he must now “charge” us for these because this set is of “higher quality” and therefore could not include it in the price?!?! So instead of owing $498.00, we must now pay $700.00 COD. When I argued with him that those 2 things should be included in the $1198.00, as it was in our original purchase of $1400.00, he told me that “he could not do that"!?!?! So considering how ‘Bad’ Boy made the original mistake of ordering 2 loveseats, did not catch their own mistake, left us chasing after them, and are now having to come back into the store in order to find another set…somehow doesn't justify them giving us a simple, straight trade at face value, despite how much "higher quality" this new set it is!?! Bottom line, Bad Boy and its manager Joseph get a big fat ZERO for customer service! I truly felt we were reasonable with them and if for $200 dollars they are going to make things even more difficult for us then so be it. Lessoned learned, we will NEVER do business with Bad Boy again…and will make sure to spread the good word.

DO NOT TRUST RAM OR HERBERT FROM BAD BOY! This had to be the WORST SERVICE I have ever received from any store. I purchased 1 couch set, 1 dinning room set and 4 pc stainless steel appliances, just over $5000.oo. I purchased from the Whitby store, on dundas and thickson. The manager at the time (RAM) now fired or transfered or just trying to hide from me..promised me I will reccieve my items on the day I moved in, Also he had told me the Microwave will be a over the range, well let me say i received my couch 1 week late, dinning room set 3 weeks late with a big scaracth on the table ( they will not exchange )and appliances 1 week late, however the kicker is the microwave was a cheap counter top. When i called in and spoke to the salesman Herbert, he said "YES I RECALL IT BEING A OTR MICROWAVE I WILL CALL YOU BACK" no calls for 3 days i called back, spoke to Herbert all sales are final can not do anything you have to keep what you got! on my invoice it does say microwave otr...and now im stuck with this and dont have the energy or time to to go further. FOR ALL PEOPLE THAT ARE BUYING FROM BAD BOY, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS THE PLACE YOU WANT TO BUY FROM..SPECAILLY IF YOU SEE OR SPEAK TO RAM OR HERBERT, THE AMOUNT OF LIES IS MINDBLOWING, the service is horrible, Oh and also when the items were late no appology as a matter of fact at one point they accused me that i was not home to recieve my items when my wife stays home all day! JUST HORRIBLE, NEVER WILL I GO BACK AND I WILL TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE THAT THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST PLACE TO SHOP..

I purchased a three piece "leather" couch set from the Burlington BAD BOY in November 2008. First the manager had the wrong price on the set from their website price and gave me a HUGE freaking deal about selling it to me as they had advertised, like they were SO losing money on it blah blah. I was told by the sales lady, Jackie, that although the set was faux leather or bi-cast leather, the actual parts you sit on were real leather. A lie. Now this plastic crap is coming apart at the seams and looks terrible! I spent $3000 and this was a wedding gift and I'm sorry but a year and a half later isn't the lifespan of most furniture.. our wedding cake in the freezer lasted longer. I consider that MORE than normal wear and tear. It's a lemon. Oh, but it's OK because the sales lady sold me the 5 year "Solid Gold" warranty to have it fixed. Perfect. I call and the rudest woman I've ever heard in "customer service" did not once try and be helpful whatsoever when I realized the salesperson gave me the WRONG warranty envelope. She kept telling me I was over my year limit, which I had no idea there was one, and to call another company to sort it out but to beware that they "probably won't fix or replace it". And honestly, I know when I am being talked to like a complete [censor] and I still refrain from returning how RUDE she was with me and just hung up. It says Solid Gold 5 year warranty but I'm left wondering what the hell I bought! And why is it that I wasn't given the right warranty information, both at the time of purchase and afterward? The customer service rep I implied that I should have known from the wording that it was an appliance and electronics warranty. Very quickly I am seeing that this is now completely MY problem according to them, even though I was lied to twice. I was completely mislead into buying a $130 piece of nothing.

With all that money I could have and SHOULD HAVE bought some quality furniture that would perhaps be around 10-20 years. So great we made a large purchase here, I feel like a valued customer. And to the last person who made a comment above me, it's called a complaint board.. you're complaining about complaint boards ON a complaint board? Are you being serious? Clearly you work for BAD BOY or else why would you be on the board at all. These people are stealing, lying and cheating their customers! Who WOULDN'T be angry? You work in the industry, how many hours a week? What if I took all your hard earned pay that month and burned it in front of you... but eventually said I was SUPER sorry that happened. Happy ending?

DON'T PURCHASE, spend the extra somewhere else.

Just some friendly advice to the last comment. Firstly: Not a good idea to to use threatening remarks towards the salesperson, it's just wrong in a much worse way, possibly criminal way, than the way you feel you've been treated.

You wrote:
.. I want to punch the sales rep I had right in the face! I'll poop on the floor...etc

It would make more sense to speak with the Store GM, or try to work within the parameters the company is offering, they seem to be quite reasonable if you don't pull a hissy fit in the store or act like a jerk. I think that if any of the GMs know of the legitimate problems some of you are having, they would be quick to step in and help resolve your issues.

Looks like some people on here just seem to like to complain and probably would rather rant to their computer than actually deal with the situation like an adult.

Bet you're asking: Do I work for badboy? I do work in a similar business and although I'm not a blip on anyone's radar yet, it seems the big companies like BadBoy and Leons and The Brick all seem to share some of the hate mail from web vigilantes. How many of the issues here have been resolved? It never seems to post that on a complaints website. Oh yeah, that's because it's a "complaints" website. They aren't interested about "happy endings" so please remember that when you read this you are only getting one side. I know that most furniture chain stores are good stores with good people who are human and can make mistakes. But also know how to make up for them. Lets give humanity a chance. Salespeople have families too, and most wouldn't work for a company that actually is what you make these guys out to be.

My complaint is about complaints board in general who won't post the "happy ending" because it doesn't attract surfers or get hits.

I hate Badboy... BADBOY SUCKS! Purchased a sofa at the start of march, rep said 7-10 days until it would be at warehouse... I haven't got a call from them once, but when I called the warehouse (6 times), I was always told that it would be 2 weeks later than the time before... Ok time warp to yesterday, I am told (again by the warehouse) that its not scheduled to arrive until mid May... WTF! I left 3 messages at their customer service desk (all during business hours) no call back... They actually wanted me to try to talk to my sales rep about the issue, and to come into the store around 9am on a Friday morning... WTF is this bs? I told them I had to work too, as they probably did, and to have the ### call me. Obviously he didn't...

If it actually ever does come in, I bet (by reading these posts) that it will more than likely be damaged in some way, and they'll say its the only one in or some BS... I want to punch the sales rep I had right in the face! I'll poop on the floor and have a tantrum! BLARRRGGGHHH!

have fun filling in the blanks!

I have never experienced such horrible and frustrating customer service in my life. I have been fighting with bad boys for over 4 months now and have had 4 attempted deliveries... something very wrong with each one. Wrong colour, warped frames, rips in leather... No one will talk to you unless you are calling to get your delivery set up bc they figure that means money for them. they lie, they take advantage of you, they don't even know what customer service is. I now hate bad boys with a passion .. and although their pitiful attempt at customer satisfaction was in the end to give us a $100 gift card for their store.. I laughed at them and said "I don't think you understand, I don't ever want to step foot in another one of your stores again!" ... what a joke... did they really think they had a repeat customer?

I am writing to express my extreme frustration with Bad Boys in Kitchener. On Feb. 14th, I purchased a dining room set. I was advised at that time that the store was out of stock; however, they would be getting a delivery at the end of March. I agreed to wait the six weeks for my table. At the end of march when my table was not delivered (nor did I get a call), I called in to find out why. I was then advised that the table had not yet come in, and I can expect a delivery on April 10th. Today I called (April 9th) to confirm the delivery for tomorrow. The sales rep at the Kitchener location had no idea. I called head office, where I was advised the table will now be delivered at the end of April. I asked if she could guarantee and she said no.

The six weeks of waiting has now turned into ten (at the least). With the ‘’FINAL SALE’’ policy, I am simply out of options but to wait. I have an empty dining room with nowhere to seat guests. I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received and with the fact that I purchased a product that they don’t seem to be in a hurry to get in. If I had have known; I would have gone elsewhere.

I will never shop at Bad Boys again. The experience I have had, has taught me that their service is unreliable.
“Thanks” Bad Boys! Buyer beware!

Same story here. I purchased a sofa set on Boxing Day 2009, the sales rep wrote on my bill that the delivery will be approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Ten weeks have already passed and I still don't have a furniture. I have made several calls and they just keep promising dates and if you ask them why it's taking too long and they said "I don't know, I just know what is shown in the computer". It is really disappointing and ridiculous. They have no reputation. They do not fulfill their obligation in delivering the items on time which I have paid in good faith. They are really bad. This is my first transaction with Bad Boy, and oh, what a Bad experience. I still did not get my sofa and still waiting...really stressing me out.

Same problems here! We purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer along with a 50 month extended warranty. 4 weeks ago they started leaving oil stains on the clothes. Of course you can't tell they are stained until they are dry so we have no idea if its the washer or the dryer so we had to stop using both. First off, you can't even get anyone to answer the phone at the warranty department. All you get is a message (I have since found out that the solid gold warranty "department" is just one person that NEVER answers the phone and your only option is to leave a message - what a horrible way to run a warranty claim). I left 3 messages and then finally called the store to complain. It took 2 phone calls to the store before someone finally called me back. When that person called all they said was: someone else will call you to set up an appt. Come to find out they subcontract all their repairs and all they do is fax off a repair request to a local repair shop. Once they do this they assume you have been taken care of, they don't follow up with either the consumer or the repair shop to make sure an appt was made or the repair was done.

4 subsequent phone calls to the store (including one to the manager) to ask where my warranty service was yeilded alot of (apparent at the time) great customer service. I got alot of "I will look into this and get you an answer" or "I will personally look into this and call you back today" then "I will look into this and personally call you back today, tomorrow at the latest". All of which I recieved NO phone call back, which then prompted me to call the manager. I spoke with him and he seemed very helpful but ended the conversation with "The warranty dept is closed on the weekend so it will be another 2 days before you get a phone call back from me".

What kind of ### backward warranty is this? I have now been washing my clothes at a public laudromat for 3 weeks. So not only have I paid $200 for an extended warranty on a $2500 washer dryer set, but now I am spending $10-$15 a week to wash my clothes.

Bad Boys slogan should be "We got your money now (insert evil laugh) so Nooooooooooobody gives a damn what your problem is". Never again will I set foot in that store and I will make damn sure to spread the word so that no one I know does either.

We purchased a leather sectional from Bad Boy Burlington this past summer…August 14th..and because it was a rather large purchase ($2000), I purchase the warranty on it.

I decided to p/u the couch myself and as soon as I got it home, noticed a scratch in the leather which would def be hard to repair. I called and left a message with the Customer Service department. When I did not hear back fromn them within a week, I ventured out to the store to advise them of the issue.

The manager advised me that he would call himself and get some answers. Two days later, a member of their “Service” team called to advise me that someone from the repair company would be coming out to view the sectional. The gentleman arrives, takes a look and says right away that he cant repair the scratch. We also show him a popping in the seams that was starting to begin as well. He said that he would advise Bad Boy to replace the entire sectional.

A week goes by…at this point I have contacted them twice. I finally get a phone call saying that they will replace the item but it is not in stock and wont be until October. No big deal, free use of a sofa as far as I was concerned! I call the first week of October, as I was advised, and leave two messages. I finally get a call back from someone at Customer Service stating that the sofa was on the “boat” being shipped from overseas. When I advised her that we had bought the item partially because it was “Made in Canada”, she hesitated, chuckled and said, no, the item was from China..LOL.

We were told it would arrive the first week of November….still nothing. I called them yet again and was told it was not in stock. I finally got a return call for re-delivery for today..yippee!

And one more thing, my wife was taken by the sales lady (Diane) in Burlington who had promised to sell her a matching ottoman for $50. She said she had only had it a month, but didn’t have room for it. When we called her three weeks later as Diane had requested, she told my wife that she didnt think we wanted it and had to “sell” it to another customer in order to “get” the sale.

The whole experience has been pretty ###! I have been in the hospitality for a long time and this would not be acceptable. I would be throwing compensation around like crazy! The only good service in this whole issue has been with the Manager at the Burlington store (Carlos) who initially took ownership of the problem and called corporate.

I have been in the hospitality a long time and I would be throwing out compensation like crazy! I guess everyone could go to the Bad Boy Head Office in Toronto to speak to Blaine Lastman himself...just stand by his spot, the one with the $300k Bentley sitting in it!

WE SHOULD TAKE THE NAME OF THE STORE LITERALLY BAD BOY. THE NAME SHOULD CLUE YOU THAT THEY WILL PROVIDE BAD SERVICE. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER NEED TO USE THIS WORD BUT I THINK THIS DESCRIBES HOW THEY DEAL BUSINESS 'SHYSTERS' - BAD BOY FURNITURE.

LET ME TELL YOU MY EXPERIENCE WITH BAD BOY(WHITBY). THE SALES PERSON NAVEED SELLS ME A FRIGIDAIRE RANGE. HE SWEETENS THE DEAL BY SAYING HE WILL PROVIDE ME FREE DELIVERY. THE TAG ON THE RANGE WAS $598.00. ALL LOOKS ON THE UP AND UP. BUT, 2 WEEKS LATER THE BAD BOY FLYER SHOWS THE EXACT SAME RANGE FOR $498. BAD BOY HAS THIS LIFETIME PRICE GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL NOT BE UNDERSOLD. IF YOU FIND ANYTIME WHERE THE PRICE IS LOWER THEY WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE PLUS 10%. THIS IS WHERE THINGS BECOME A CHALLENGE. I RETURN TO THE STORE TO TAKE THEM UP ON THEIR PRICE GUARANTEE. THE MANAGER - SHAWN PROVIDES SOME PRINTED DOCUMENT STATING THE PRICE OF THE RANGE WAS $518 AND DELIVERY WAS $80. NO WHERE ON THE RECEIPT DOES IT HAVE A PRICE OF DELIVERY. IN THE PLACE WHERE A COST OF DELIVER SHOULD BE WRITTEN IS SOME INSTORE CODE. I INDICATE TO THE MANAGER NAVEED STATED DELIVERY WAS FREE. I SIGNED THE RECEIPT OF $598 NOT SOME PIECE OF PAPER YOU PRINTED. NAVEED WAS NOT IN THE STORE AT THE TIME BUT SHAWN THE MANAGER STATES THAT THIS WAS STORE POLICY AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT NAVEED SAYS. STORE POLICY - IS TO CHEAT THE CUSTOMER BY PROVIDING SOME BOGUS DOCUMENT STATING A DIFFERENT COST OF THE RANGE TO NOW FIT YOUR NEEDS. WHY DON'T THEY SHOW US THIS DOCUMENT WHEN WE PURCHASE THE ITEM?

MY NEXT STEP IS TO CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE. WITH ALL THE REVIEWS I SEE THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE MAYBE A BUNCH OF BAD BOY EX-SALES PEOPLE WHO ARE EXCELLENT AT THE ART OF ###.

I AM GLAD CONSUMERS CAN POST COMPLAINTS BECAUSE A LOT OF TIMES THE CONSUMER BECOMES THE UNDERDOG TO THESE COMPANIES. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THERE ISN'T MORE PEOPLE READING CONSUMER REVIEWS.

I HOPE MY POSTING WILL MAKE YOU STOP AND THINK IF YOU SHOULD SHOP AT BAD BOY.

Nothing but another bad experiece from bad boys london. Bought a sofa/loveseat set because it was on sale in july. Was told they were not in stock, but would be delivered mid-august. Mid-aug rolls around and no word from bad boy. We call every week asking were it is only to be told that there still waiting for inventory should be here soon. End of sept comes, and i get a call from the manager "chris" that someone dropped the ball and the set we ordered was now discontinued, would i take the floor model? What the hell, why would i take the floor model when i paid for brand new furniture?

So we select a different sofa/loveseat (start of oct now) it was supposed to be delivered today. My wife stays home waiting for them, when i get off work i notice i have a voicemail. " We tried to deliver your furniture today but noone was home" No one at all came to our house today. We cant get ahold of anyone in there delivery dept, No one at the store will give us any answers. We keep getting the run around and on top of that they want to charge us for a second delivery attempt when they never even made a first! so 4 months later we still have no furniture from them and some vague promises on when they will arrive.

This is a horrible horrible store and had i read the reviews before my purchase i would have never bought anything there. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE THIEVES. Pay a bit more somewhere else and end up happy

I wish I had found this page before my parents decided to make a purchase at the Bad Boy store. They have been waiting 2 weeks for delivery, and now they don't even want the furniture they purchased. Since it hasn't been delivered, we decided to cancel the order. The sales person they spoke to said 2 weeks or less, now they're saying that the fine print says approximately 2 weeks. Before it wasn't in the store, now they claim that it is in the store, but don't have a truck to deliver it. They also showed that fine print showing all sales are final. I can understand if the item was already delivered, but it wasn't. Also I believe that sometimes what looks good at the store not always look as good at your place, so there should be a return policy. The customer rep I spoke to over the phone at the Whitby store hung up on me, refused to provide her name or transfer me to the manager. when I called back to speak with her again, she once again hang up and said she was done talking (I sure wasn't). She told me I can speak to my lawyer if I don't like their policy. Well, I won't talk to the lawyer over $800, but I will make sure that all our friends, family and strangers know about Bad Boy's lack of customer service and poor return policy. I also looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and their rating is F (A being excellent and F well the letter says it all :)) and they aren't even accredited by BBB.. I agree "NOBODY IS A LOT BETTER THEN THEM"..

OMG why did I not do my research sooner... and trust me everything I buy I do my due diligence...

My wife and I were so happy about our new house purchase that we ran out one Sunday morning to do a little furniture shopping knowing that we had a quick closing and needed to make some purchases soon in order to get them when we moved.

Walked into Burlington BAD BOY, and saw a wonderful sofa set and well priced. We really had no luck all day and this was the 6th store and figured this is awesome lets take it. The sales guy says sorry there is no physical stock but we can have it for you April 1st or 3rd. So my wife and I discussed it and decided why not, we will only be in the house for a week by then we can get by with camping chairs and coffee tables... LOL. So he tell me to come back MArch27th as they have a special sales event that day and that he would be able to save me 10-20%, so we went in on friday morning the 27th and made the official purchase. April 1st came and I thought I better make a call to see when it would come only to find my sales guy on a 2 week vacation and his manager on a 1 weeks vacation, and that our furniture would only be comming in on the 8th of APril. So I drove to the store to talk with the manager on duty and he gives me this whole BS story about why its not in and when it would arrive and promised a April 8th delivery. Today the 7th we get a call telling us its now the 9th because of bad weather yesterday... BAD WEATHER it was 5 degrees and rain... hmmmmm now I'm really getting worried!

Keep your fingers crossed that we don't get screwed here!

I purchased a front loading washer from bad boy less than one year ago and have had the same problem After the third service call we were told that they would be getting back to us . Had to call the rude person in customer service and she told me I was overloading the washer and not checking pockets as they found a toonie in the machine. She was ectremelly rude and I wish I had spent the extra hundred dollars and bought the same machine at Teppermans . You can be sure I will never buy from them again . all they had to do is be considerate and listen to my complaint

Wow am I ever glad I read this page. I was on Badboy website because I was looking to go up and buy a TV that I had seen there. I was a bit turned off by the amount of sales people they had there and they were either sitting on a couch or standing around chatting with each other. I was sitting in a massage chair that I absolutely loved and one sales person actually came over and told me to give other people a turn at it! I laughed and said I had just sat down in it and he walked away. The only reason I was going to purchase a tv from there was because it was a good deal but after that snide remark from the sales guy and reading all this feedback...I will never step foot in the store again...at any location. Thank you to all of you who took the time to post it...I like to research stores before I buy.

i totally agree with all complaints.we bought a 2000 dollar set of wash and drying machaine.they delivered it and it was scratched up like they kicked it down the stairs.we called to complain and was told we will send you a cheque for 150.00.still never got the money and called again and the people were very rude and tried to say we put that against your acc.tried to lose me in ratteling off numbers that made no sence to me.we should go there and form a picket line and let every person know who walks in that store that they are garbage.if any one will join me email me and lets do it.ch-1979@hotmail.com

We were just about to purchase a new coach and love seat from the Kitchener store. Thanks to this site that won't be happening. Thanks to everyone for helping us to stay away from all this negative. I would much rather write about it without buying something than to write after the purchase and say We didn't listen and got burnt.

I went to BAD BOYS in Whitby Ontario and looked at some bedroom furniture and found some that I like. The sales person was looking to make his money that day when he asked his manager if he could do a better deal. I thought wow it was great but hey let me measure my room and see if it will fit! Well as I was leaving he asked me to fill out a credit app for the card. I did but then he asked me to sign the order form I said not until I did my measuring of my room!

So 2 days later I called and said it won’t fit in my room so I will not be taking the bedroom Set. The lady I spoke to said ok and I thought that was the end of it! 2 Weeks later I received a call that they were on there way to deliver the furniture and what time I would like it? I asked them who ordered it they said I did! Wow baffled and looking at the paper I had with the bedroom set on it no signature or nothing! I called the Whitby Location and asked to talk to the manager and he wasn't in so I asked for head office and they refused the number. A second call was placed to me about delivery for the furniture I asked again for corporate number because I didn’t order the stupid furniture! Now I was pissed and called consumer affairs and better business burial THE BBB! Well guess what I could talk to the wall because as they told me I couldn’t do anything because I bought the furniture! I said how I could buy it with no signature on a contract she didn’t know and was a total waste of time!

Well finally I got a hold of corporate for BAD BOYS! Wow they only wanted me to talk to the head guy’s sectary and I said no I want your boss or the next phone call will be from my attorney. She told me it would be about a hour before he could call me back! Wow ok so I waited until the next day and he called me back! It wasn’t a Lastman or the other fatso on TV it was I guess the real owner. Well he apologized and said what Whitby store did was wrong. He would look in it and take care of it after 2 months of hassles So I have to say is stay away for this crap and don’t fill anything out take 2 or 4 weeks to think about it and don’t get sucked in because it is a head ache to get out of it! WHO IS BETTER THAT BAD BOYS! Anyone even the Amish the wood is real!

This is an update to our earlier post. We did call Elran & had an interesting discussion with their C/S and London sales rep. Apparently, the furniture that we bought was part of a special line made exclusively for Bad Boy, and was not available from the factory. There was a limited number of pieces and they were all shipped to the various Bad Boy showrooms. The pieces we received were wrapped loosley in cardboard and shrink wrap. Factory new pieces are packaged in a wood frame box with foam packing to protect them. In addition to broken parts, taped parts, and missing parts, one of our pieces (the 'new' sofa) also had felt floor protectors like the ones you buy at Canadian Tire. (They were dirty and worn so I know they had been there for a while). Elran took it upon themselves to send us some extra replacement parts. We were/are very impressed with them as a good respectable Canadian company. The sales rep told us he would look into our complaint and get back to us. Elran cust. service also provided us with a serial number to replace the missing one in case we have any warranty issues. As far as Bad Boy goes, we will never shop there again, although we did get the $100 credit (thanks to Elran, no doubt). We would rather order directly from Elran (even if it costs more), and know that we are getting good old fashioned honesty...something Bad Boy knows nothing about!
