La Quinta Inns & Suites review: Room rental process

On Jan 17th I was visiting the area in Macon Ga, I rented a room online around 10am through Priceline for the LaQuinta by Wyndham at 3944 River Place Dr. When I first got there, I was impressed with the cleanliness and the nice lobby. I gave him my information and then he told me that I would have to pay $25 on my card for early check in, that was not mentioned on the website when I rented the room. Secondly, I had to pay $100 deposit for the room in cash. Did not get a receipt for the deposit only a paperclip and a small note attached to it and placed in the register. There was nothing in the room but the bare necessities, no shampoo, conditioner, no coffee, only one towel. The place was old and had stains on the ceiling, the wall, mold on the foyer ceiling, the bathtub was yellow and stained and while I showered, I had standing water during the shower. Very slow drain. I have never had to pay a $25 early check in or a $100 cash deposit on a room rental. I will not ever stay at that location again, and highly likely not to ever rent from the LaQuinta chain again. I have no idea why the foreigner's take over stores and hotels and charge outrageous rates, do not try to make things nice to stay there and demand cash for deposits and cards to put holds on. when I got checked out the guy would not give me my deposit back until he asks me to take a seat and he would go check the room. So, 15 mins later he came back and returned my cash. It was a lot to me, and I am not impressed with the way that the La Quinta chain has sold out them reputation it once had to people that do not pay taxes and get to live in this country for free. I will never go to that hotel again and I will make sure to out a review online at that particular location as well. SHAME ON YOUR LAQUINTA FOR SELLING OUT>
