Kroger review: Contaminated produce

I am writing concerning a health issue at the Kroger store located at 5021 Teasley Lane Denton, Texas.

I shop at the store frequently and have observed fruit flies in the produce section on a number of occasions.The flies can typically be seen around the onions.

In recent weeks the problem has gotten much worse and insects are present throughout the produce section. This is an infestation that needs immediate attention.

I was in the store on Tuesday June 8 and spoke with the manager about the worsening problem. He was not concerned and commented that they are trying to get a handle on it and need to spray. I suggested that they actually need to dispose of the contaminated produce that is harboring maggots!

I explained to the manager that the lack of sanitation is forcing my family to shop at the nearby Sprouts and Walmart for produce. That did not seem to bother him.

This store has also had problems with cold chain management. I have had to return numerous refrigerated products that were spoiled.
