When I went inside to pick up my order, I noticed one of the associates wasn't wearing gloves. As he was making the customer's food who were in front of me, I saw him touching all over their box with his fingers touching the inside. When he started making my food, I kindly asked if he a had gloves. The associate responded that just because you wear gloves, it doesn't mean that your hands are clean. In disbelief, I advised the associate that one of his peers was wearing gloves, and it would make me a little more comfortable as a customer if he put on gloves. The associate lightly tossed his tongs onto the bare aluminum table, and proceeded to wash his hands. Due to his demeanor, I asked the associate if I offended him and issued an apology. The associate then stated that I did not offend him because what I was saying was going in one ear and out of the other. I told the associate that he didn't have to worry about completing the order and contacted Doordash to issue a refund.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology from the associate.
