TurboTax review: Hidden $35 fee.

Advertised as a FREE online site to file taxes. Toward the end, they say I can get my refund up to five days early, and they will deduct $35 from the direct deposit amount.

How do I know if it IS five days early? I don't. That's a scam. Several phone calls. One rep sent an email link to 'request a refund' but they have one account number for the FREE service and a separate number for the FEE service. Naturally, they don't accept that account number.

Few more calls. I gave up. Taking $35 won't break me.

Weeks later I was called by a 'manager' who said they would refund the money directly to my account. Never saw it.

A few more weeks, and today, 2-22-26 an actual check came in the mail. They make me WORK to get my money back. Never again.
