IHOP review: good food, bad mannered waitet

Eat several time (3 other occasions), no complaints with the quality of the food, but it always takes one bad waiter to overshadow all the merits of the establishment. The waiter in question, Tyron, on duty the evening of 31 July was rude in the following way. After waiting to be seated, the waiter beckoned me with his hand, like an Roman to his slave. I found this totally disrespectable, what he should have done was to use the civilized way, "This way, please". I responded to this disgusting manners by simulating his beckoning, to show my disapproval. As I got to my table to sit down, I distincting heard him say, "All right old man". This made me livid, to say the least, that as a paying customer I should be referred to as "Old Man". I am in my late fifties and I don't consider my self as an "Old Man". I didn't immediately say anything until I had finished the meal I had ordered. I then called Tryron over to my table and I politely told him about the hand jesture and "Old man" He of course denied having said that, and dis not even offer to apologize anyway, at least for the hand jesture. I will never again patronise Ihop in Ala Moana Blvd again. I hope the director of this establishment takes note of how he will lose future customers, just because of one black sheep.
