Harvey Norman sofa set

Poor customer service. I bought a sofa set on 29/9, delivery should be on 20/10.. Received a call on 16/10 saying that it will be delayed to 2/11 (1.00pm-4.00pm). On 2/11 10.30am the day of delivery itself, received call from harvey saying that it will be delayed again to 5/11. Can you imagine receiving information of delay just 3hours before the delivery time? Dissapointed with this kind of service. Customer needs to follow up by themselves instead of receiving updates from harvey. I send many messages to sales officer (kok hooi ch'ng), he read the messages but never replied. Until I myself have to call harvey customer line to get the update of my delivery status. This is the last experience with harvey norman 👎 I cancelled the order and get my refund. Please improve your customer service. Stop giving excuses and false promises. Thanks

Harvey Norman hybrid floors carpet

Hi in the last month ive spent over $12000 at this store from home theater system to $8000 on carpet and $2000 on floor boards great quality of things but i must say my home was new when i got the carpet laid now ive got paint missing from walls and also a bedroom door on the floor cause they never put it back on and paint missing from when they carried the rolls upstairs floor boards well out of 18 boxes i can tell u nearly one in every box wasn't useable cause they were chipped or not locking in now i need another 14 boxes i dont want the same thing to happen and im not happy.

Harvey Norman ariston dishwasher

I have been in along running dispute with this store over a dishwasher that did not dry dishes from the outset. The store finally agreed to provide a credit on the dishwasher after 3 months. It's now been over 2 weeks since that decision and they were to arrange collection of the faulty product. However, the guy that I have been dealing with (Jamie Scott) will not return my calls or emails to arrange a collection time, and provide the credit. I have just sent this issue to the QLD Office of Fair Trading for resolution, as we have had enough of the continued unprofessional-ism of both this guy, and the Cairns store.

The outcome we would like is for the credit to be provided, and the faulty dishwasher collected as soon as possible.

Harvey Norman samsung uhd blu ray player

14/08/2019 I purchased a samsung 4k blu-ray player hdr from Liverpool mega center.
the guys sold the item with no remote control. I called several time and spoke to them and they said they will have it delivered to my home address.

After a month I went to the store and spoke to a manager in the TV Department, he said he emailed it to samsung and they will have it delivered in a week or two. Its been over 2 months and I still have not received my remote, when I try to complain they say if you are not satisfied come and bring the product back so we can give a full refund.

I did not travel all the way to the store to get it refunded, I cant use the player as it only operates using a samsung bluray remote control.

Harvey Norman apple mac air 2019 model

I bought this computer at the Thomastown store yesterday only to find, when I got it home, that it had already been set up in somebody else's name (Theresa Farid) with a password. The box was sealed as if new.

Rang the store today and spoke to Marcus who told me someone by the name of Theresa Farid purchased the computer at that store on the 7th of October, had the store set up for her, took home, then returned it later for an upgraded model.

So someone in that store just re-packaged it; didn't even delete her details, and tried to pass it off as a new one to a sucker.

Well I am returning it today and I better get a brand new one with no issue or I am going to the Ombudsman, as I'm sure what they have done is illegal.

Harvey Norman outdoor furniture

Picked up a 4 piece outdoor setting today which was flat packed. Upon putting it together we realised the single seat was faulty and would not go together.
My partner took it back to the store to be replaced, the manager said they had the same trouble and it is to be expected when you buy a budget piece of furniture. (It was $1200 on special)
They replaced the chair, so when my partner got home he realised one of the footings was missing. So he went back where they gave him a footing which was strapped together with masking tape.
The whole thing was a bit of a joke really, I felt like going back and getting a full refund. Won't ever be going back there again.

Harvey Norman logitech g pro mouse

Ordered a mouse 2 weeks ago - expected it to arrive within 3 days but still no news/update from Harvey Norman.
Contacted their live chat, was told to email to them; After 10 days and numerous emails to them, haven't heard a single word back.
Went into one of their physical shops, was told nothing they can do about as it is a separate business (online & physical).
This is a SCAM. No replies, no news, no help. Couldn't find a better word to describe it.

Harvey Norman photo centre

I ordered 15 personalised blankets online, when I submitted the design for each one, I took a screenshot as these were being made as a gift. On the submitted design the wording was centred to the blanket, when the blankets arrived the bottom wording was to the left of the blanket and over lapping the logo that was printed on it. I have attached the screenshot from when I submitted the design and a photo of the received product, as you can see the bottom wording is not centred. when I contacted Harvey Norman Photo centre, I was informed that this was how the design was submitted and no further action would be taken. I am still not happy with this outcome as I would not have submitted a design that was off centre. 11 of the 15 Blankets where not printed correctly and because of this we have been left very unhappy with the service and product we received. We are a sports club that would have been purchasing a lot more of your personalised products but will now be reconsidering the company.

Harvey Norman service and wrong information given complaint

A month ago I applied and was approved for the Go Master card. I went into Harvey Norman as stated on my email to give ID to finalise and confirm my card. Everyone at the computer section all said that I didn't have to do anything until I wanted to purchase and then it would automatically activate. I am a student who's study is all online and my laptop died. Went into JB Hi-Fi Bathurst today to use my go master card to purchase a new laptop only to be told my Go Master card didn't exist. Ringing the company behind the card JB and I were told that Harvey Norman gave the wrong information and should have taken my ID and set up my Master card then and there. Due to the wrong thing done by Harvey Norman Bathurst my Go Master Card was deleted as it wasn't actived. So now I am an online student with no laptop or way to access my classes or assignments thanks to the computer section giving me false information. I am VERY unhappy with Bathurst Harvey Norman and will not be returning nor recommending. I was given a $1, 500 limit and I would really appreciate it back.

Harvey Norman akai 65” 4k ultra hd smart tv mn ak6519uhds

I went to Harvey Norman Port Macquarie on Sunday the 29th of September to purchase a TV as mine had just stopped working.
After arriving in store, about 15-20 minutes I was approached by a young lady asking if I needed help, yes I replied aus I was standing in front of the Akai 65". I asked can you get Netflix on this TV, yes she replied as it is a smart TV, I asked if it was a good brand/model, she replied yes. She didn't not voluntarily give out any information on the TV. The price impressed me and knowing I could get Netflix I was happy and said I'll get The TV thanks, without showing me any others or any other specials she sold me the TV. I get home, I set the TV up, I try to install Netflix, it comes up "Netflix is not compatible with this device" . I installed an update that the TV had and tried again, this time I searched for Netflix in the play store and everything but Netflix come up. I searched through the browser and I tried to install it that way, still saying "Netflix is not compatible with this device". I went online and spoke to someone and they said it does come with Netflix, I replied "I am not lying about this, what can I do about it" as I felt like she was insinuating I was lying! They then told me to call the store I purchased it from, (thanks for your help, online help centre!) I called my local store we went through the process of trying to reboot the TV and find Netflix to no avail. I was heading down to Port Macquarie so he told me to call in. I called in and was confronted by two workers telling me they tried and got Netflix working on the in store show TV, they asked me to log into my google account which I did then showed them my account and my search for Netflix, still no Netflix. The girl tried (the same girl who tried before I got there with her google account and said she could install netflix) well it come up the same as mine everything but Netflix. The staff were baffled, offered me to buy a chrome cast, I politely declined, I told them I just wanted a TV that I could access Netflix and other apps from the TV I didn't want attachments. They then said they could do a swap and to look around. After that they left me to look around, they didn't offer to show me any other TVs they had in stock that would suit what I was after. I left to think about what had all transpired as I was very flustered. I returned to the store later that day and had a another look at TVs without any assistance from staff or management. I settled on a TV as I had had enough. The new TV was $200 extra, they were going to give it to me at the same price as the other, but changed their minds. The girl that was doing the transaction (after asking for something off the price, for the inconvenience of the girl who knew nothing about the TV that she sold me Sunday) she said all she can do is take $15 off and free pickup of the Akai and delivery of the new one. I was not happy with that, so she went to her manager and he said $95. I was defeated at that stage and agreed. I said I'll bring the Akai down as I am coming back down this way, as my step father is in hospital in Port Macquarie. My complaint is about how uneducated the staff are about the products and their incompetence at assisting a customer with an issue. I was treated like a liar. I was so very disgusted by the way I was being spoken to like I was less than nothing.

Harvey Norman delivery of vacuum cleaner

Purchased a Dyson online, for pick up in store
Go to the store, the store can't find it...they locate one in another store and will arrange to have it shipped to me instead.
A week and a half later, no delivery, nobody knows where the product is, the courier company don't want to know about it, Harvey Norman call centre don't bother to contact me or check on the progress of my order, i call each day to find out what is happening...nobody follows up and calls me back
now they tell me they will investigate and it may take up to 3-5 business day...are you kidding me...i asked for a refund...they can't do that either until they locate the product which apparently can't be found

Harvey Norman you are a joke!
Learn some customer service skills, follow up with your customers and perhaps find a more reputable courier service.
First and last time I will EVER make a purchase with Harvey Norman and will encourage others to avoid them like the plague!

Similar story, purchased a blue ray player from Liverpool store but they forgot to give me "the remote control"- went to the store twice and spoke the manager who promised it will be delivered to my home address. Its been two months and I have not heard from them or got my remote, when I try to call the store they either hang up the phone or take my details and never return my call. The player is now part of the furniture coz you cant operate the thing with no remote controller. I don't know how Harvey Norman does business, its so wrong in so many ways.

I guess everyone will agree they hire incompetent staff that are only willing to sell to meet their bonus quota and leave their customers hanging in with no help.

Harvey Norman a hole at the bottom of the “sofa”

Purchased at harvey norman furniture at hopper crossing victoria australia (ordered 23/8/19)

The above "sofa" was delivered at about 12pm earlier today (28/9/19). After unwrapping, we discovered there is a hole at the bottom of the side seated part of the "sofa".

Had contacted the staff at hopper crossing twice on the same day, one of the staff (june) had informed that they will send someone to fix it up.

By the way, please me know the insurance will start from order date or delivery date?

Kindly advise / attend to it asap

Harvey Norman unethical behaviour by telephone respondent

I am quite disgusted by the unbelievably rude man who phoned me today regarding an online inquiry I made about buying a computer with a 36 month interest free period. As a person on disability pension with only a small extra income, these sort of terms are very attractive. The issue is regarding the Harvey Norman representative who telephoned me today. The first thing he did was ask me my name, so I replied "Isabelle Kler" which is, in fact, my name. Without further ado he accused me of lying and implied that I was making a fraudulent attempt at getting credit. The name in my application for credit is my legal name and appears on my licence, medicare card, centrelink cards, taxation record, university degree.. So after this man started yelling and demanding to know who 'Karin' is I actually chuckled a bit to myself in disbelief at this person's tone and manner. After publishing a small book earlier this year, and having fully recovered from cancer(which is why I received the disability pension) I did have a legal name change via the procedure as dictated by the Victorian Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages. The Harvey Norman representative proceeded to accuse me again of lying and trying to deceive him, when this was absolutely not what I was doing, and made a sarcastic remark regarding whether I even had documentation to what my name is - yes, I do have all the legal documents, and I do not consider employees of Harvey Norman as having any greater authority than the Australian Taxation Department, VicRoads, Dept of Human Services etc. I still live in the same house, have the same phone number and date of birth - I'm sure I would have had the forethought to, at the very least, buy a new sim card if fraud was my objective. Disgusting behaviour from a foreign person who represents this company. The only reason my credit is rejected is because of the extreme financial stress that resulted from an unfortunate diagnosis in 2012. It is many years later now and I have repaid all but 1 of my defaults and even that is on my file incorrectly. ACM Group no longer exists and I have had no success in having the default removed yet. If I was wealthy I wouldn't be looking for interest free shopping. I regularly buy via 'afterpay' but a good computer is simply too expensive for to repay in that manner. In any case, I feel that such staff as this man should not be dealing with any members of the public in this country (where I am assuming he does not live as he is clearly unfamiliar with our cultural norms of communication).

Harvey Norman phone screen protector

I went and brought a screen protector from Harvey Norman of which I was very specific about with the fellow serving me. Due to my job, I had to have the drop resistance of which I thought I had brought.

Within 2 weeks of the of the purchase, my screen had smashed in 4 different places. Much to say I was very annoyed! I rang up HN that same day, where I had purchased and told them that my screen is now smashed and that it's a $400 fix. They advised to come in before 5pm to see a fellow by the name of Graham. I stated I normally finish at 5 so it may not happen.
The following day, I made sure I could finish 10 minutes before 5pm to pop over and get my phone issue fixed up. Luckily made it and went in store and spoke to Graham. He took my phone out back and done god knows what, then came up to me rudely and said I had not put on the correct screen protector. I stated that this was the only piece out of the box that would stay on my phone and not fall off. He said it wasn't his problem and he wasn't going to do anything about it and that it was my issue to fix up by myself. I told him that it was very clear that the product they had sold me wasn't the correct screen protector but he continued to argue with me. I then rang up the head office in Sydney to make a compliant and for my issue to be fixed as they had supplied a false product.

Its been 3 WEEKS since I asked a customer service representative to call me in regards to this!

Very very disappointed!

Harvey Norman samsung e10

I originally came into the MunnoPara store looking for a new security camera (Also didnt work) Iwas talked into getting a new phone, had to come back the next day due to school pick up.Almir in electrical was friendly but this being a first phone sale, we needed [censored].They hooked me up with a Samsung e10 and ported my number over, I was on my way, after two days still no network connection.Almir says not his problem.I cant even use the old one.I am now driving with my Autistic child and I myself have taken a bullet in one leg, cancer in the other and im a Career.Now I have no phone! Thannnnxxxxxx ::!::

Harvey Norman online service-items not delivered-no idea when they will show up

I placed an order for 5 items totalling $5845.90. I received multiple phone calls about the single order to which I advised I would be wanting them delivered early next week.
(I don't understand why I received phone calls about each individual items on a single order...)
I have had two items delivered this week, one of which was then taken to a post office because we didn't know it was coming so hadn't arranged for anyone to be home.

I have tried calling today to check in on the other 3 items, have been on hold with the "customer service" team for over an 30 minutes. Requested multiple call backs which I still haven't received. I then tried to speak to the online chat who has just advised that the items are out of stock now and my order has been reallocated to a store. He could give me no idea of time lines or definite dates I could expect delivery, his exact response was "it takes time"...what does that even mean?
I am having a kitchen installed next week and need these items to be delivered by then. I was not expecting such terrible customer service from a large company such as Harvey Norman, I have spent a lot of money and don't have the items and now this will hold up my kitchen being installed.

I refuse to spend another 30 minutes listening to your on hold music-can someone please call me

Harvey Norman elba marble dining room suite / table

Purchased Elba dining suite value $5000.00 with delivery December 2014 to North Lakes where we have purchased our third Management Rights Complex. We noticed in 2017 less than three years after the purchase that the base of the table looked dirty / orange coloured in areas but when wiped over realized it was not dirt and could not be cleaned. Owning a busy a seven day a week business it was left untouched to be dealt with later. During the next months small areas of the marble coating started pealing off and the areas became larger with out being touched. We sold our business December 2018 downsizing & moved to another new home back up on the sunshine Coast. The table by this stage and the new dining room location drew our eyes and every one that entered the house straight to the deteriorating and unsightly table with comments from various trades prompting us to take some action. We were fully aware that the product was out of warranty but considering the suite was not cheap in our opinion and we are now retired we should at least get in touch with the manufacturer to see what was applied to the table and why was it peeling and how do we remove the rest of the unsightly coating. I have now spent several months back and forth to Tania via email and phone being told that the supplier said in his words "this genuinely happens when something has been used on the table to cause this effect" . This was just insulting especially since it was the table base and not even the top that is wiped daily, the base has been dusted! more
upsetting as Tania seemed to think we should accept that reply. This is not was not an answer to any of our questions. Tania gave us some marble restoration contact numbers who would come and shed some light on the problem and cause, whom we contacted after many calls and Tania chasing them too Nigel from Mable Stone Restorations came out and said the base had been sprayed badly with too much air in the spray gun and the rest is in my email attached. Nigel also said we would not get any compensation from the manufacturer due to warranty being expired which we knew so settled on $550.00 cash job instead of $650.00 to grind off all the coating and apply the natural sealer that should have been used on the marble originally and not the coating they had used.
The Table was moved out side while deciding what to do with it but is now looking better than new and along with new chairs to suite, it is now our out door setting on our under cover area. Nigel has proved extremely hard to contact & has not supplied a written report though Tania will be able to contact him for a verbal report.
Our aim was not financial compensation, more so for the supplier who is buying this product from a manufacturer to take responsibility and not turn around and accuse the customer. We have been in business for over 30 years and that in our opinion is the poorest attitude and not in out vocabulary.
Also disappointing is customer service from Tania passing the buck and being satisfied with that reply from the supplier, initially i thought she would follow through.
We have been very long time customers and advocates of Harvey Norman, being onsite property managers with many hundreds of clients over the years and at least half a dozen of our own properties furnished in the past. We will never again make any purchases from Harvey Norman. Our new Bosch appliances, new replacement dining room table have been purchased else where and much more to come as we renovate.

Harvey Norman kohler 3 seater triple motor 2 seater triple motor lounge suite in white

on the 6th june ordered Koler 3 seater triple motor; 2 seater triple motor lounge suite in white. They are holding $3800.00 on my GEM card until delivery. Many phone calls and stuff ups. I was firstly contacted that delivery wont be till end of August. The next day I spoke to the manager and he told me the salesperson Haily made the wrong order so he cancelled this and reordered. Then the following day received a phone call from Hayley that the manager changed order with out contacting her and he stuffed the order up, I was really angy and so was Hayley that he did this, sooo, she reordered the suite again. this time I asked for compensation for the 3 seater to have the triple moter insted of the 2 at the same price. I had heard nothing from anyone so I spoke tp a manger higher and told them of my complaint. i have since rang again asking where is my lounge suit to be told arriving at end of month of August. Here it is 3 plus months later and have heard nothing! I have been treated rather badly and I should NOT be the one chasing this up! I am cancelling my Order and request that the money be reverted back onto my GEM card. I will never buy from this conpany ever again.

Harvey Norman penrith or lithgow

I have had only first class service and experience from Harver Norman over many years, and this experience will not change my opinion.

This complaint concerns a delivery driver who parked on my neighbours driveway at 6:15 this morning, leaving the engine running about 6 metres from my bedroom window. Apart from the noise, which woke me, the exhaust smell was entering my bedroom, continuing for about 20 minutes before I spoke to him.

When I did so, pointing out that the noise and fumes had woken me, there was no apology. He did not turn off the engine, simply telling me that he "was working".

It is illegal to make noise before 7:00 am that impacts on people in their homes, but aprt from this it is simply inconsiderate and thoughtless. There would have been no problem if the driver had turned off the truck engine on arrival.

I attach a picture of the truck in question, parked on my neighbour's driveway in Evans Lookout Rd Blackheath shortly after sunrise.
