After years of unacceptable servicing of our account, we finally had to terminate our agreement with Harbortouch/Shift4 for failure to keep our outdated equipment up and running. We could not risk another audit for incorrect financial records from our registers being down nightly after 11 pm. It looked as though we were turning them off every night to avoid sales when they were shutting them down for updates. Our registers were being unusable nightly. I made numerous calls for them to address the situation. We were promised they would update our system and after 3 days no-one had followed through or an explanation of why it was not done. Months of calling every morning to get our POS up and running from the night before. No explanation why, just not working. I told them I would be finding another POS company if they didn't comply soon and fix our system. Not 1 call or email to address fixing the situation. One rep actually said I will understand you looking for a new POS company from how you've been treated. We only had one tech show in 6 years of doing business with them. I myself installed most of the system and installed the new hard drive they sent because they had no one supposedly. The tech that showed said he lived 20 minutes away for the last 5 years and did not know why he had not been assigned to help. You can not expect to charge a company like us that kind of money and give no service in return.
