Green Dot Unlimited Debit Card
There is some type of restriction on my account where I can’t access available funds.
I have reached out to customer service and online chat. The online chat team said that no restrictions are showing on my account and customer service transferred me to another team.
After waiting on hold for over FOUR HOURS, someone picked up and then disconnected the call.
Desired outcome: I want access to my money in order to make online transactions and withdraw money from the ATM as needed.
My money was stolen
On Feb 14,2023 i found out that over 16,000 was taken off my 4 green dot cards. I sold my house. I reported it that. Was told it would take about 45 days to investigate. It is now six months from the time i reported it. On Aug 4th i received an email requesting some documents and telling me i had two days to turn it in or my case was going to be closed. And that they would contact me two days after they received them. On Aug 14th i sent an email staying i sent all the documents in and have not heard anything back. On Aug 15th i got an email stateing my request cant be completed due to one of the following reasons. 1 Documents not legible 2. No Documents received 3. Missing documents 4. Invailed documemts. For further assistence call the number on the back on the card. On Aug 15 i email back and told them i cant get ahold of anyone at that number. I am on the phone as i write this and no one has answeref the phone yet it went striaght to music. And i have been on the phone now for 47 mins and 45 seconds!. I have tryied to look up other numbers for green dot and they are changed or disconnected. I am homeless since this all happened back in Feb. And i told them that then and i am still telling them that. But now my van is broke down and got towed! I am really thinking about calling a lawyer to sue green dot over this. I need help please! Greendot Go2 have locked my account for suspicious activity which was no suspicious activity. I did all the transactions I got $54,000 IRS check I spent $30,000 there’s 16,000 left and they will not release my money my funds in any way shape or form. They tell me I need to contact the IRS or I need to contact the originator of the funds and they need to ask for a recall, which doesn’t even happen. I’ve spent the last 33 days every single day all day long trying to figure out how I can get my money from these people never use greendot Bank ever it’s horrible the stress I’ve gone through is horrendous I call every day they won’t unlock my account and they won’t give me my money. This has been 33 days and 38 days.
Desired outcome: I want them to settle with me, giving me money for my stress and sleepless nights waste of time, they deserve be shut down
Walmart money card green
May 19 2023 I contacted green dot to get a new card and check my balance because I've been in jail for traffic tickets since sept 2022 and released may 18 2023. call rep informed me I had no money in account and its been used. when I was asked to verify my account, my address and phone number was changed as well as pin code. So I was transferred to dispute department and the account was closed reasoning was account takeover. After coming to terms with that. the dispute department start my dispute totaling around 19,000. I was told to send supporting documents within ten days postal mail to be qualify for temporary credit. May 20 2023 I overnighted my id, certificate of release from jail showing proof I was incarcerated during the time my card was used. I also sent handwritten statement expressing I did not authorize anyone to use my card. May 29,2023 exactly 10 days after I filed a dispute green dot lied said they didnt receive my supporting documents and closed my claim was denied. june 16,2023 I contacted greendot resolution department to discuss the wrongful investigation in my claim. July 13 2023 I spoke to a rude woman named connie she said that my claim could not be reopen because I did not provide supporting documents she hung up in my face. 08/15/2023 I contacted greendot again and I was told that that it will be reopened please allow ten days for a resolution. and then I called back to comfirm the details on my claim
Desired outcome: use my supporting documents that greendot failed to view ,my outcome is to have my money back in my account . i am a victim do to the long wait this situation caused an extreme hardship on my life causing to be homeless

Impossible to get service
I have had my GreenDot account for more than 15 years. Within just the past 3 years my account has been hacked several times.
Calling customer service for help only cancels my card and issues a new one. That blocks me from having access to my money. They say they are doing a fraud investigation but never any results.
The past 2 months I have had problems logging into my account, again calling customer service and was told I needed to do all these things (that I have already done repeatedly). They have done nothing to help.
By fluke I got into my account and found 4 unauthorized charges! I have tried all day to contact customer service AND the corporate office but their phone systems keep cutting me off and disconnecting me.
In the past I have told customer service agents that I need to speak with someone from the corporate office and repeatedly told there is no one else for me to talk to, (in broken English of course).
It is not worth all this trouble!
Never any results other than I need to do this or that. No problem resolution from them.
Card declined
I have been having problems accessing my card I can not make purchases take money out or pay my bills I have noticed this yesterday, I have enough money in there I have been on the phone with customer service on hold for an hour im not very happy I need my money or else I will go to a different businessplease help thank you I would appreciate it if this matter can be solved as soon as possible

Debit card
Our old account was hacked, the wife called green dot and disputed transactions. We received new cards with new account number, my pension was deposited and card worked, the next day green dot made a provisional deposit of funds hacked, then my ssi was deposited. We could not use the card for anything, my wife made several calls I mean several, and all we can get ahold off is call canter people that can not be understood. Finally, Monday morning got a supervisor, said give it an hour and all would be ok, well it’s not, can only use card online, no at the counter or atm. By doing this you are restricting me to the use of MY money, not the banks!
Desired outcome: Expect the card to be unrestricted, access to my money, and be reimbursed for our time and aggravation.
This is definitely the same identical issue that im having, almost 100% identical. Today is August 11, 2023. I have been chasing these folks for two weeks now for my hard earned money. My pension check arrives to GreenDot card on the first of month. I had a dispute of about $30 in unauthorized charges. They did investigation, put the 30 bucks back on my card. I got new card in the mail while in the process, my pension check was also deposited to my new card. I went online to verify the amount and it was correct. However, i cant access my money anywhere they told me to go to certain ATM's, WalMart, Jewels and a host of other lies. Im almost 70 years old and have very little income and no bank account. This has been the only way i have paid my rent in the past.There's no way, no access to get my money back. I have tried everything and now the message that comes on is saying they are having an overwhelming amount of calls, for quicker service, visit their website. Go to website and all the information is blocked where username & password will not process at all. I want my money and and want to be paid late charges, humiliation aggravation, loss of sleep, my time and a host of other illnesses and dissappointment and problems this has caused me in my personal life. I cannot afford to hacked or played with, therefore, I am going to start with the police dept, attorney generals office and work my way to this scamming [censored] company to be exposed on the news. Believe it or not, in all the major stores, they still selling them cards. Im not gonna rest or give up. I want my MF money back and am not gonna stop til i get it - PERIOD ! ! !
Green dot money card
On Friday August 4 2023 I had 5 charges that appeared on my account, 2 where from Zulily and 3 at the microsoft store. I was able to get in touch with Zulily they stopped the purchase but a week later still the money is not back on my card, Microsoft is a complte [censored]in joke cant talk to anyone.I called green dot and talked to a person who said not to worry all funds have been stopped. monday 8/7/23 all the scam transaction are still listed as pending. I called Geen dot back Tuesday 8/8/23 after waiting on hold for one and half hours I was transferred to the dispute department when I was told that all transactions are going thru and I need to write a later to dispute department, so basically they stole 380.00 from my disability check. If anyone reading this is thinking about any Green Dot products DO NOT DO IT they are liars and thieves. it may take years to get my funds back but Iam and emailing all info and screen shots to my state attorney and banking commission may all the folks who had our accounts stolen from need to file a class action and shut these crooks down...

Refund not received
I purchased a Greendot card on July 5th, I tried to activate the card they told me that it has already been activated. I was given a case number to send my receipt and for a refund. I waited 10 days and didn't receive my refund I called back and was told that my case was closed because I didn't provide the documents. I was given another case number and I still have not received my refund!
Walmart money card
On 8/16/2023 to 8/17/2023, there were unauthorized withdrawals made from our account. I contacted Walmart money card and filed a dispute claim on all the unauthorized charges. I printed out the statement of fraud, listing all the unauthorized charges. I also emailed a signed unauthorized fraud . These charges amounted to $328. I was issued a credit for $1.06 of those charges and was told the rest was under investigation. We received new cards for our account. On 8/03/2023 I received an email stating that we were issued a provisional credit for the outstanding amount. In the mean time, on 8/04/2023, a direct deposit was deposited on the new card. When I attempted to make a purchase, however, the payment would not go through. I called walmart money card three times on 8/04/2023 to discuss the issue. I was told it "was nort locked and to try it again", "to try it again later that day", and then " it was a technical issue and to try again tomorrow ". Today, 8/05/2923, I attempted to make a purchase and it was a card failure. I called the card company today and was told that it was a technical issue and that because it was the weekend, it would not be resolved until Monday. Our account show the money is in there but we are unable to access it.

Green Dot bank
I needed to update my address and get a new card sent after my dispute had been resolved. Well I gave them the wrong address because I had just moved. They locked my account after answering the security question with the wrong address on file.
Greendot sent me an email on July 26th requesting that I resubmit my documents because they were ineligible.
On July 31st, August 1st and August 3rd. I re submitted my I.D. card to verify my identity.
They are saying that they have not received not one of my emails. I have talked to over 20 customer service representativs on the phone and over 20 on the chat in the app.
Everytime you have to resubmit your documents, you have to wait 2 days. I have been waiting over 2 weeks now and all I keep getting is the run around.
They need to verify my identity, unlock my account and send me a new debit card. This is out of control. Never on my lifer have I experienced something like this.
I go down to the bank with my I.D. and my account is unlocked. That easy.
This bank is absolutely ridiculous. They keep giving the run around and I don't know what to do.
Can someone please help me
Desired outcome: To please verify my Identity with the documents that I have properly turned in, unlock my account, and send me a new debit card.

On January 31,2023 I purchased a card from Safeway put 80.00 on it to pay a bill and when I tried to activate it I was told the card was defective I've tried many times and no got back to me then out of the blue I received an email saying it was taken care of , I've never received anything from green dot . So I'd like my money back plus the purchase fee . I have photos of the card and my receipt

Green Dot debit card that Walmart sold as gift card for Father's Day
Account - Gary Grimco - The original card was purchased around June 13th and mailed to my father for Father's Day. Wal-Mart said they were not carrying the regular VISA gift cards and the Greendot debit card was the same thing - with no fees. They pointed out the wording on the packaging saying no fees. I was only putting $25 on the card (I have 2 fathers to buy for). By the time my father received the card in the mail and opened it on Fathers Day on June 18th, Greendot had removed $7.95 from the card as a fee. I called Greendot and explained what I had been sold through Wal-Mart. After 20 minutes on the phone customer service removed the fee and stated that there would never be another fee. I asked whether my father needed to spend right away and he said NO and he said he put a note on the account and there would be no more fees. Meanwhile my father received another card in the mail with a chip so he didn't know what to do with the cards. He is 87 years old. I arrived at my fathers house on July 30, 2023 and he said he hadn't used the cards. We took both cards with us shopping and tried to use them and neither would work. We came home and called customer service and through recordings we found out that the card had not been authenticated to use although they had removed $7.95 fee again. We are owed the $7.95 fee that we were assured would not be removed ever again. Your overseas customer service said they will not remove because they are allowed to apply it. Please credit the account so my father can use the entire gift card value that I purchased for him. Thank You.

Locked Account
I just created an account on Green Dot about a month ago on Jun 21st and I immediately set it up at my job to use for receiving my deposits. Green Dot closed the account about 3 days ago and I already have deposit on the way expected to reflect by august 2nd. How do I go about unlocking the account before that day? I've tried chatting and calling the bank customer service but they've not been helpful at all

Copy of a cleared check
I received a refund check from an investing company that used Green Dot bank. I deposited the check on February 2023 to my bank account and it bounced as fraudulent check. I reached out to Green Dot bank and stated the fact that the check was no good. The response was that the check is valid and was cleared and no checks will be reissued. I requested a copy of a cleared check in February 2023. As of July 28, 2023 and on-going phone calls and 5 different cased created by Green Dot , I still have not received a copy of a cleared check to see if it was my signature on the back of the check.
Super frustrated, since I never got my money and I have no proof in my hands showing that whoever cashed my check was not me. And 5 months of going back and forth I have no resolution.
Desired outcome: Green Dot sending me a copy of a cleared check.

I have tried for three days to set up my secure moneypak card will not accept my phone number or let me set up account. I purchased moneypakcard at Dollar General on 07-20-2023 at 13:01 I have tried to contact them through email three times no response. They say will respond in one day. I want a refund 180.00. I can see why they have such a low rating.

Green dot debit card
The Green Dot Bank/Walmart card that I have tried to use gave me a place to transfer money to a debit card before I was able to open a bank account. I then transferred money $43574.10 from an account that I since close. The money was then supposed to get deposited into Centier Bank I had recently opened.
When I tried to access my account they told me it was locked and I needed to send them my ID.. I tried several times and there’s nothing wrong with the clarity.

It's been 3 weeks everything I have attempted to do, upload ID 2 times, talked to over 20 to 30 different representatives as well as 3 corporate calls. This is ridicules the flagged my hotel refund back to my card and now my bills are racking up I can't feed my children, this is beyond rediluculas. Please help! I cannot believe this!

Green Dot has caused me major financial issues that I am still unable to recover from. I am almost 60 years old and on a fixed income due to disabilities. There was an unauthorized transaction that I noticed right away and contacted customer service who sent me an email telling me exactly what I needed to put in a letter describing what happened and the email also stated that once they received it they would give me credit for the transaction while they investigated it and I mailed it that same day but never got the credit until 2 months later and only after I threaten to sue. But by that time my Green Dot account was overdrawn $200 because I had automatic payments that went thru and Green Dot kept tacking on fees to my account because of the overdraft which was caused by green dot. Also, during the 2 months I was begging green dot to give me the credit I had to take out a title loan with a 200% interest rate and I'm behind in rent again. I don't know how to get out of this situation that was caused only by Green Dot. I'm filing a lawsuit against them.

Unauthorized charges
I had some charges made to my green dot bank Account. They were unauthorized I did not make them. I disputed this matter with green dot and was supposed to get a provisional credit after 20 working days. This never happened. All they did was put me on hold for hours ,over and over again.Now they have denied my claim with no explanation whatsoever. Charges made were 2500 plus dollars and I've received nothing back from this bank.
