Working with Terence from Birch was a pleasure as he was always prepared, informative and professional. This company certainly demystifies hard asset acquisition, and it was a pleasure working through the purchase. They actually delivered faster than promised, and allocation was as ordered. Very pleased at the relationship, and now feel as if I "have a guy" in the Precious Metals arena! These guys are legit.

My experience was exceptional. Every question I asked was answered to my satisfaction and with obvious extensive knowledge on the part of those staff members working with me. As the previous review stated, it was a bit uneasy sending a large check to an unknown source but as also stated, everyone was very nice and made us feel comfortable doing business with them without meeting them. They were thorough in their explanation of how it works, what was available and helped us figure out just what investment would be right for us. He managed all of the details with his professional team. honestly I have never received the type excellent customer service that Stuart Nash Is dedicated to giving to each and every client. My metals have increased substantially. I basically knew what I wanted to do and when I talked it over with Aaron he explained what they could do for me and how they could best serve my wishes to my advantage. Wonderful experience with Jake and Natalie in establishing my new IRA and filling it with products that will provide me with security against a waning US dollar. The staff has honed their process of reaching out to inform potential customers of their services, to very efficiently opening new accounts and providing expertise/assistance in selecting the appropriate PMs to purchase for their customers. My account took just eight days to complete the process of initial contact with a Birch salesperson, discussion with the IRA Specialist (Natalie), conversation with my Precious Metals Specialist Jake, funding the account and selecting/purchasing product to place into my rollover IRA. These folks are true professionals, and I have complete confidence in my decision to move a good share of my assets into the Birch Gold Group. 5 1/2 Stars!

I have had a very good experience with Birch. A human being picks up your first call (amazing), and they don't give you the runaround; they honor their customers' invaluable time. When I had more questions, they moved my call "up the ladder" to someone more equipped to answer. They've facilitated every step of my process. I do think there's one area for growth (but not enough to drop that fifth star) I am probably slower that the average newcomer to this investment area, nevertheless I would recommend their reps slow down a bit in their explanations. Investing in precious metals entails learning an entirely new set of vocabulary and processes; I need a bit more time to absorb all the info to feel safe in making an investment. But let me stress that BGG has been very good, I will continue to work with and invest through them, and I would recommend BGG to anyone interested in learning about and/or investing.

We had never heard of a Self Directed IRA with precious metals. My husband has a substantial 401K and is close to retirement age. With the value of the dollar so low and a possible crash of banking in the near future, we were terrified that the savings would just be gone. We received the information packet from Birch Gold and were contacted by Philip Patrick. He was awesome to work with and literally spent hours with us by phone, carefully and simply explaining precious metals to us newbies, in a way that was easy to understand. He said that he would be our contact through the entire purchase and even called us from overseas due to a family emergency. It was the middle of the night for him. We spoke with Susan, who helped us transfer the money, and she was great, very patient and helpful. Jeremy Warner took over for the final details, and he has also been terrific. He responds to emails and phone calls so promptly. We couldn't be happier with the service we received and were so impressed with how nice everyone was. Even the phone operator is courteous and helpful. We are so relieved to know that our retirement is safe right now. Thanks, Birch Gold.

I got an info pack from Birch Gold Group, but then I changed my mind 'cause they kept buggin' me with texts, emails, and calls all day long. It seemed kinda sketchy to me. Even though I told 'em to leave me alone, they still keep callin' me. I just want 'em to quit it.

I bought gold and silver proofs from Birch Gold Group in 2015 for $***. But my account dropped 60% by 11, even though the metal market went up. I switched to mostly silver proofs in 2016, but my account kept dropping. They didn't give me any advice other than to wait for recovery. I lost a lot of money because of their excessive expenses and poor advice in managing my account. Birch Gold Group's *** and *** kept saying my account was worth more than melt value, but when I transferred out, my final value was only melt value of $*** - a 60% loss. Where was their expert advice to protect my account value? And how much did they take in excessive fees?

I bought a lot of precious metals from Birch Gold Group in early June, but it's been over 2 weeks and my transaction still isn't finished. I haven't gotten a list of what I bought, which includes gold, silver, and platinum. My money is gone and I have an account, but I haven't gotten any paperwork in the mail or email or on the website. I told them I want my documents, but I haven't heard back after leaving a voicemail and sending 2 emails. If they do reply, they just say they're busy, but I don't care about that. I gave them money and they need to do their job.

Representative steered me and my wife to the wrong metals. We didn't want silver, but they pushed it on us. We ended up buying American gold eagle (proofs) and Canadian silver Twin Maple Leafs 2 oz. When we finished buying, I asked about prices, but reps said they would tell us later - they never did. Six months later, I saw the year-end statement and was shocked. I invested $***. For example, I was charged $66.22 for 2 oz. Maple Leafs when spot price was $35.74. I thought there would be discounts for such a big investment.

Birch Gold Group ain't all that great. They got some shady sales tactics and their customer service ain't worth a dime. I bought one of their precious metals IRA thingies and it was a big mistake. I didn't know much about this kinda stuff, so I fell for their tricks. I bought some bullion, coins, gold, and silver. But when I got my first report from Strata Financial, I saw that my portfolio had lost 35% of its value. I asked them about it, but they just gave me some lame excuse about "spot value" and not real value. This kept happening for a whole year. Meanwhile, the price of gold was going up, but my portfolio was going down. When I asked about selling it back, they said they'd give me way less than what I paid for it. They said the coins were worth more than the bullion, but they charged me more for the coins and didn't tell me that. They won't answer my emails or texts or letters. They only talk to me on the phone. I think they're avoiding me because they know I want to sell and they might have to give me my money back. I'm gonna sell it anyway and invest in something better. It's partly my fault for being dumb, but they lied to me and tricked me. That's why they won't talk to me in writing.

I talked to Birch Gold on October 6 to buy some silver bullion and maybe open an IRA account. I told the guy, ***, that I wanted to buy the bullion first and talk about the IRA later. I asked for a price quote, but he said they don't give quotes until they get the money. He did say they charge 2% over the spot price to buy and then add 7% to sell to me. I checked with him and used an example of the spot price being $23 and then adding 2% for their cost and then 7% for my price. He said that was right. I wanted to buy 1500 ounces, so I sent them *** USD the next day. When they got my money, they had someone else, ***, call me and the price changed. They said they never talked about the price with me, but they did talk about the formula for their pricing. They always start their calls by saying they're recording them for quality control or something like that. That means they recorded my calls with *** and can check what they told me. I read some other reviews and saw that they charge a lot to cancel, so I felt like I had to go through with the deal or lose some of my money. I thought I was buying 1500 ounces, but I only got 1420 ounces. I paid almost two thousand USD more than they said I would. They tricked me once they had my money.

I got a problem with Birch Gold Group 'bout my Traditional IRA backed by Gold and Silver. I opened it in October and now it's March 4, 2022. My Account lost $*** in Value against my Deposit of $*** and all they tell me is some silly explanation 'bout "Actual" Value vs the Statement. I asked for that in writing and they said they only provide Statements. I made it clear what I wanted to secure my IRA with. I got a lot of Physical Gold & Silver and I know Spot Value and "Sale Value". I explained this when I was trying to get a more secure Investment for my Money, Backed by Silver and Gold. I'd understand if Gold & Silver were "DOWN" in Value, but it should only be "Down" or up by the Market fluctuation. The Market has bounced up and down maybe 9% during this time but has been climbing and is up by about 10%+. You can hardly argue that this is outright misrepresentation in pushing my Investments to Over inflated Gold/Silver in spite of what I asked for. I tried to talk to them but you can't get to anyone of Authority. I think they're being dishonest on purpose. We're talking about $*** of my $*** Investment! They were being evasive when I repeatedly asked for Copies of this transaction and what I had purchased, saying it would all come in my Statement. The first Statement had my Account down over $*** in less than two Months. I called immediately and it took forever to talk to anyone. Again, more BS about Spot Value and evasive about what was my money put into beside their pocket!? I asked for an Accounting as this did not at all match the Prices of Gold and Silver Bullion Coins and Bars! What's happening to me sounds like the Stories I've been reading 'bout them in ComplaintsBoard.com Complaints, Obfuscation and deflection mixed with blatant misrepresentation. I just wanna get my Money back and get it Invested with a legit Company.

BGG's info kit says "Congrats! You're protecting your assets for the future." Birch Gold Group has been bugging me for 4 years now. On May 1, I emailed my IRA Specialist who helped me in 2016. I wanted to know what they'd offer me for my gold and silver. No response, maybe she's gone. I called her a week later and was put on hold for a long time. She still works there. In summer 2016, I wanted to add gold to my portfolio. I read that you could transfer from IRA to add precious metals. I liked what Birch Gold Group was advertising, so I called and got their info kit. I could meet the minimum purchase price of *** dollars. My Specialist was *** and I told her I wanted bullion gold. She talked about value, proofs, and all that. I stressed I wanted bullion, so she gave the phone to a guy who talked about proofs vs bullion. I felt dumb. I said go ahead to fill my amount. I got my invoice and was shocked to find I bought 2 - 1oz American Eagle - Gold Proof @ $*** ea $ *** 65 - 1oz American Eagle - Silver Proof @ $78.13 ea $ *** Spot price at the time gold 1350.50. silver 19.63 4 years later... *** 18.18 I felt uneasy. I wanted to know what they'd offer me to buy back. They avoided me. I waited on hold for ***, but some guy answered and asked if he could help. I said I was waiting for NV. He said she was busy. This *** emailed a form to fill out so they can make an offer. I filled it out on May 8th. I didn't hear anything, so I filled it out again and emailed back to him on May 26th. Still nothing. I looked up BGG and the ComplaintsBoard.com to file a complaint. They lie in their ads. How can they sleep at night? They advertise honesty, courtesy, and respect dealing with our hard-earned money. What a joke! Retirement can be shifted to these crooks without anyone looking into their actions! Congress should know about this. Other people have complained about this for years.
