Green Dot my card and account is blocked

why did my card get blocked even my whole account is blocked and i am getting my deposit on the 25th you all can take your fees out but I can not access my money at all why would my whole account be blocked i need my money you can block the card but not my account I can send money to people I owe and pay my bills with out the card how can i get it un blocked its going to cause me to loose my appt then ill be homeless and cause me to be late on my bills even disconnected. i did loose my card and it was just lost not stolen and my whole account was blocked that was un called for just unblock my account until my card gets here thats going to be 2 weeks and my bills cant wait til then and another thing if the card is cancelled and you have the new card no one else can get my money dont that make since to leave my account open and not blocked. if this isnt resolved ill have no choice but to change banks and loose all my cash back reward thats not right i am sorry, you can call me at [protected]

Green Dot moneycard

I am elderly. I was in a nursing home for a few months and when I got out I could not remember my pin and did not remember the phone number/e-mail info associated with my account. I requested an account takeover on February 27th. I submitted a current utility bill and copy of my state issued drivers license as requested and waited two weeks for my refund check, it never came. I contacted customer service again March 12th. They claimed they did not receive the utility bill and ID, however after "looking into things more" they found them and then stated they just needed me to verbally verify my address so I did. I was told the funds would be sent within 2 weeks. I explained that I am elderly and that I need these funds to pay my rent and to buy food and prescriptions and asked that this be expedited as I have already waited two weeks. I explained I am facing eviction if I cannot pay my rent. I was hung up on twice while trying to get help and later was told they have everything and I just have to wait. I did not trust that my request was being processed so I checked in with customer service again 3/23 and was told they don't have the documents. I have photos of some of the chats which shows they had the documents on the 12th. I sent the documents several more times on the 23rd. One of the "supervisors" told me that if the subject line is not exactly formatted a certain way they will not accept the e-mail. He said they see the documents but I have to resent. I did and they verified it they can now process this. I requested to speak to a manager and was told one would call me within 24 hours and they never did. I did not receive a call so I contacted customer service AGAIN 3/24. They told me they didn't see the documents still. I explained that I have sent them several times and have photos of the chats confirming so. All of a sudden they had the documents but stated they have not been reviewed. I inquired why I did not receive a call from a manager and they said they do not see I requested one. I also have photos of the chat stating I did and the "supervisor" stating they completed a request for one to call me. I am beyond frustrated with your organization. I have discussed the situation with a lawyer who said they would take this case on if I need. If I cannot get my money expedited in the next few days I will need too. Please contact me asap. Green Dot Greendot debit card is temporarily turned off

My greendot account was blocked today and I have my unemployment sent direct deposits to the account. I am currently down and out after my house was burgled last night with my wallet stolen. I am still dealing with the emotional trauma before I received an email from greendot notifying me that my account has been blocked. I will appreciate it if anyone can help me unlock my account so I can get my funds.

I had issues with not being able access funds and unauthorized transactions. I say we all file a lawsuit and shut down this fraudulent company.. I'm sorry a small claims court not going pay late fees on my bills but I'm sure there's enough for a class action

Green Dot Greendot prepaid card

I had a platinum green dot card which had 450.00 on it. I paid my yearly payment in January and in March, they destroyed my credit by stating it was in arrears. I cancelled the card and disputed the charges. They do not issue paper statements, make a call or inform you. Then when you call the automated system doesn't recognize your card. I cancelled this card and they owe me 378.00! they are scams. And i want my credit restored and like the case against them in Minnesota my name cleared. Marla K Rivera.

Green Dot Walmart prepaid money card is terrible!!

-This incident of me not being able to reach a representative who can provide me with any information on if funds are really blocked from being deposited onto my Walmart Money Card that I will never have access to has been going on since last week going up to 3/15/2021 and beyond.
-Something tells me that the customer support representatives with the Walmart money card are telling a lie. The rep told me that since my card is no longer valid that any funds should not be deposited onto the card anymore but did not want to send me proof of the account being closed. I have an IRS check that is still coming to the routing number of this card since I did not know that the card was invalid at the time I choose to deposit my tax/refund from Covid-19 onto the card since it was not expired! The IRS mentioned that they will be depositing my IRS money to the routing and account number of this supposedly invalid card on March 17th, 2021! However, Walmart customer support at [protected] does not want to answer their phone, or return any calls to address this or provide me with proof outside a phone call that they really closed my account down, since I have called them the first time! Therefore, I want proof that Walmart has closed down this card and any routing or account number associated with it since I will not be able to access the funds on their stupid card ending in 1252 which has not even expired yet but that is invalid!

Desired outcome: Close my account associated with my card in 1252, so that the routing and account can not receive the funds that are coming to this card VIA DIRECT DEPOSIT does not deposit successfully since the card is no longer valid or accessible!

Green Dot The automated online chat did not help

I purchased your card, put money on it. Used the card and after two weeks decided to cancel the card. There were no online contact services listed at the time. The automated online chat did not help, but found out how to delete the account. The amount was brought down to as near a zero balance as possible. Later, I read you could ask for a check for the remaining balance. So I did this. I waited. No response. I then found a place to email you. Within several days you replied you will respond to me within 2 to 3 days. You did not. I only received junk marketing emails from you. I finally was able to find a toll free number, which was not there before, online, and called it. The agent stated they will not cancel the account. They also stated I have a $-35 balance from monthly fees. I argued I had canceled the account and wished to received the small amount I originally had left in the account. You refused to do so. Then, you put me on a permanent hold of over 2 hours. I was working at the time, so I didn't mind waiting. Then I was disconnected... After the music stopped. I kept saying hello, hello... To which you did not answer.

Green Dot Tax refund WITH THE GREEN CARD....WHAT A JOKE!

Green dot sent a new card after the first one went missing. When I canceled the card, the whole green dot card got canceled. I need them to send my taxes back to the IRS because there is no account! Why are they holding these taxes? The IRS said to contact green dot which I did and nothing was said about money in the old account. Only that they could not turn the card on again.

I was never told I could not use this card. I was also not aware I had to upload my drivers license to their website. After I upload the photo, the company is supposed to send me a real card...

Green Dot Unlimited prepaid card

Since 2015 I have held a GreenDot prepaid card without an issue. It was January 6, 2021 when my nightmare began.
On December 23, 2020 after waiting 27 weeks for my Pandemic Unemployment Assistance I received 2 deposits. I felt relieved after all the struggles and lack of shelter I could finally get some type of stable housing and begin addressing my medical needs. I was born with a congential defect of my hip joints which lead to more orthopedic issues as I aged.
On January 4th 2021 I purchased an RV for a little over $5, 000.00. To my surprise I could not readily access my funds or wire transfer to the Sellers bank account. I tried an alternative way of funding thru an online app called Cash App. I was able to transfer funds to the seller in various amounts. On January 5th I made all the payments necessary to pick up the RV and drive it back to our camp spot.
The next day I filed for my unemployment benefit because a message came thru stating the Colorado Unemployment System would be shut down until January 10th. I filed for one week. The deposit for that week was made in the amount of $707.00.
On January 7th 2021 I went to DMV to register the RV and my card was declined. I thought this was odd because I had ample funds to cover the fees.
I came back to the RV and checked my account and there was an email from Green Dot stating I had to validate my identity and to send a copy of my license to Customer Service and once reviewed my account would be unlocked.
I panicked and sent a copy of my license to every fax or email I could find of Green Dots so my funds could be released. The Code Enforcement of Longmont had just issued me a tow warning because I had no plates on my RV and they threatened to impound my home.
Within 2 hours I received an email stating my documents could not be verified. I was extremely confused and panicked.
I spent the next 3 weeks on hold for hours to speak to a representative. Each representative gave me different reasons why my account was still locked. One of the emails stated my account was inactive.
To date february 16, 2021 I still have no answers or access to my pua funds. Eight thousand six hundred forty seven dollars and fifty three cents $8, 647.53 is what green dot denied me access to.
I have sent clear copies of my license along with a copy of my cellular bill. I provided my insurance declaration page showing my RV purchase and address verification. Yet Green Dot will not honor my formal request I made in writing asking the company to refund the balance in the account and issue me a check to close the account. I believe I am being targeted because I am a low income citizen dependant upon Governmental Assistance. This company has targeted many PUA receipants and PPP Loan holders taking all their money including mine. I want access to my money. I waited 27 weeks for Colorado to Approve my unemployment and now Green Dot has denied me access to this Assistance for over 6 weeks now.

Desired outcome: I want my $8,647.53 refunded along with interest

Green Dot They keep denying my claim when it is fraud

My stimulas was deposited into my account on december 31 were deposited into my account one on someone got my money as soon as it hit my account my verification for my account information was sent to someone elses gmail address I dont know how this happened but I did not do it I did not authorize this on december 31 for $530.00 and another again on january 4th for 506.00... I do not understand why they have not refunded my money... I did not due this and I need my money back this is crazy they havent even called me back or emailed me anything I have contacted green dot multiple times waiting for hours and hours to talk to someone to get some one that barly spoke english and didnt understand me and filed my disbute 3or 4 times to get denied and hung up on if this is not taking care of im sueing greendot and going to the bbb better business berau and calling fraud on green dot this is fraud and I did not due this I want my money back now please

Green Dot Card purchased at walmart

My disabled brother bought 2 cards from Walmart with his stimulus check, Card [protected], CVC776 and Card #[protected], CVC946. He could not activate by his phone, so I (his sister) registered them online. It said registered successfully and ready to use in 30 minutes on 1-24-21, but he has been unable to use them. I am unable to reach anyone by phone, email, chat. Very frustrating and starting to think you are a scam! His name in Jim Peery, phone # [protected]. My contact is Pamela Vaziripour [protected]. Green Dot Card blocked

I loaded 400 onto the card and have not been able to use it. I provided a front and back copy of my ID as well as proof of residence and still get the run around from green dot representatives. I will not deal with green dot anymore and I will also spread the word on the customer service and poor service

Green Dot Greendot Identity Verification when registering card

I purchased a greendot re-loadable debit card in order to pay my bills online due to Covid -19. I loaded $500 cash when I made my purchase then proceeded to register card to activate. Upon registration I verified my email and phone number. I then received the alert that my identification was unable to be verified and my card was limited to in person purchases only with restriction to use the mobile app. When I called the greendot number I was told there were no options that my card was locked with no ATM access, no online purchases access. This money was specifically for bill pay - which also is not an option now. I need you to manually verify my identity and unlock my card immediately please. I would have never loaded my cash to pay my bills on green dot if I had any idea that I would not have full access. Many offices are closed due to covid mandates and in person payments are not an option. Please assist and resolve this problem please.

Desired outcome: Card ending in 1579 Verify my identity by me emailing you my drivers license or what ever documents you need and unlock my card.

Similar experience just happened to me as well, stating that they were unable to verify when I registered my card it blocked all services except in person transactions.
