I am writing to retrieve a reimbursement in the amount of $1,846.36 under the cancellation confirmation shown in the subject line, having not heard back from your people by calling 1-877-768-0493 and speaking to Ellen (case #CN06629679) and writing an email which was received by your firm on 9/30/25 (Reference #CN06629770).

In a nutshell:
On Sunday September 28, 2025 at approximately 12:40 pm I hurriedly made a reservation for the night of September 30th using your site thinking I was on the actual Hilton Conrad Hotel NYC reservation web page. When I clicked on the payment mechanism I instantly realized something looked wrong, including the fact that the total price for the reservation had unusually large fees added to the room rate and which made the booking cost ridiculously uncompetitive and costly. A mere 3-5 minutes from that moment I proceeded to cancel the booking and received the cancellation confirmation noted above. Watching my credit card statement activity closely, when I saw the charge "posted" to my account (it had been pending and I waited to see if it would drop) I contacted your people as described above. I also contacted VISA to dispute the charge and hold back payment.

I'd like you to know how unpleasant I find this whole experience. I had to deeply dig through the Internet and sort through at least 5 phone numbers to finally find a telephone number where I was able to speak to a human...and to also find a customer support email address. As I have now been told your booking feature makes my charge unrefundable, supposedly influenced by the hotel and your business rules.

I have been separated from my money, or your firm is trying to sepate me from my money, because of what I consider to be a deceptive business practice hiding your role in the booking process and especially because of your excesively high fees; not to mention only a 3-5 minute period from booking to cancellation resulting in a charge for a service I never received.

I am asking, please, for a resolution by reversing and cancelling the transaction and for a response back from you ASAP.

Claimed loss: $1,846.36

Desired outcome: Restitution of my money
