01-04-23 My car went to Gerber in Bullhead city AZ, for sand blasted damage on the entire drivers side.. At first Gerber seemed very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding.

They had my SUV for over a month. I understand the supply chain issues, so was ok about the delay. When I went to pick up my SUV, I was told that the low tire light was on but would go off after I drove a couple of miles, as that is what the Discount tire guys said when he went to Gerber to take care of my rims.. This did not happen. I called the next day because after driving over 20 miles, the light was still on. I was told to go to the tire shop, and they would take care of it. The tire shop told me Gerber came to them and simply bought the sensors to take back and put in the tire themselves. GM products must be re-programed and the light will not go off on it's own.

A few days later, I called Gerber because the adaptive door lock was not working on the driver side, after they replaced the handle. Took my SUV back again to Gerber. It sat there for 5 hours, then I was told by Gerber, that GM said the handle was no good, and to get a new one. After the install, the handle still did not work. I was told to now to my local dealer for them to re-program the handle. Dealer said it would be $170.00 just to find out what was wrong. I told them Gerber had to pay for that as it was not my fault. It is now March 20th. I drop my SUV off at the dealer. That afternoon, I was informed that the harness that connects the handle to the computer had been broken, and the parts had to be ordered. Here comes Friday the 24th of March, and I can go pick up my SUV. My dealer tells me the cost, and I reminded him that I was only paying for the il change, as Gerber was paying for the handle and harness, and would be getting reimbursed by my Ins. company. My dealer has had so many bad experiences with getting payment from Gerber in a timely manner (took 4 months for payment), that they would not release my car until the got the $994.04 payment. This is on Friday afternoon. Gerber said at least 3 to 4 days b/4 a check would get to the dealer. It took me over 2 hours of phone calls to Insurance company, before I was told that Gerber could get a check to the dealer on Monday morning. I was not going to wait another 3 days to get my SUV back. Call my Insurance company again, and explained what was going on. My insurance company told me to just wait at the dealer for a little longer, and they were going to get a hold of Gerber head quarters.

Low and behold, about 30 minutes later, my service advisor came to let me know that someone at Gerber called in with a debit card and paid the repairs, and also my oil change. This was the absolute worse experience I hav had with any business, and will never use them again if/when I body work done. They broke the harness to begin with, then acted like they did nothing wrong.
