I had a 2006 Mitsubishi eclipse GS that still ran and had actually some nice parts on it that I needed to get out of my driveway because of offstreet parking issues. I called so many companies and they offered me ridiculous amounts from $150-$300. I knew those were not really fair as I had just put a new starter in the car and it had a couple new bumpers. Conker junker offered me $470 and we’re so attentive and making sure that, the Pickup! company contacted me made arrangements and follow through. Alves Towing Company communicated and came when they said the’d be here. They were kind and courteous and paid cash. I couldn’t recommend both companies more. Extremely satisfied customer.

I started trying to sell my car to another company that was low-balling me and doing all kinds of shady sales techniques. I filled out the web form for ClunkerJunker and got a much higher price right off the bat. I was skeptical every step of the way but it really turned out to be easy and I got the price they quoted on the web form. I had to send them photos and a picture of the title but that seems pretty reasonable and prevents surprises when they get here to pick up the car. After a few days of getting my photos and docs together they showed up, cut me a check, and took the car. Super easy.

I have to admit, this has been the smoothest transaction I've made in a long time. From the time I accepted the offer, there was instant contact from Clunker Junker through email and text at 10:15am. I had a call from the tow truck driver ready to pick up my car at 10:23am. I had to stall him because I had to clean out the car and I wasn't ready, LOL. I called him back to let him know I was ready. When he arrived, he was friendly, we signed paperwork and cash was in my hands. Very pleased with the whole process. Thanks Clunker Junker, you took away my pain and made it a simple process. 10 stars if it was possible!

I am very disappointed in Clunker Junker. I filled out the information on line according to their format. Zip code first of where the pickup of vehicle was located. Then complete address of location of vehicle. Finally address of person on title. I was issued a fair quote. I called customer to inform them of offer. They accepted. Salvage company calls to schedule pickup with a considerable drop in price. I called back to Clunker Junker. They looked it up and said vehicle location was incorrect. I had printed all information and asked how would salvage company know my address if they had not received it from them. Complete run around from there on.

I'm a skeptic. Had my paycheck stolen once. Did all of my research on ComplaintsBoard.com and felt like this has to be legit. Well, It was. So easy from start to finish and everyone I encountered was super nice. I forgot to take the plates off the car so I called the tow driver who was kind enough to text me where the car had been towed to. Once there, it was obvious that this was a legit business and they were super nice to have someone take the plates off and give them to me. Check cleared in one day. If I had to junk another car, I would completely and totally use them again. I feel like I got a decent deal, everything was easy and everyone was friendly, polite and helpful.

Form may be easy to complete, but then they want pictures, then get title notarized, then question the validity of the notarization, then pass you off to someone in California and go through it all again. Finally got it all done and scheduled for pick up. Waited. Waited. Waited. Pick up window expires. I call California to be told they are in route. Forty-five minutes later still no truck. Now I am told they should be here in an hour because their truck broke down. A simple phone call this morning saying you weren't going to make it would have allowed me to do other things, but now my whole day is shot. Only do business with this group if you want the run around.

I absolutely LOVED working with the company. They have contracts with towing companies all over the US and will pick up any old car the you're trying to get rid of ASAP! I signed up for the offer on Wednesday Nov. 25th. I had one towing company contact me on Friday Nov. 27th asking if a pickup time for the following day, Saturday Nov. 28th at 4pm was a good time but I had to get rid of the car on that sane day, Friday Nov. 27th, by 4PM. The towing company dispatcher went out of his way to contact another towing company in partnership with CJ to get the car taken before then and they did... by 3pm. Amazing service, great people, and its felt great getting paid for someone to take the car away.

Just like many of these junk car buyers, sleazy! I went onto their website and after entering my complete and correct information, clicked on the "Accept $1250 bid" button. After that, it turns out that I was brought to other screens, where I got a real bid, I guess the first bid was clickbait? The offer was less than half that number original bid now! But wait, it gets better, as after accepting that offer, the next day they informed me that because a DIFFERENT COMPANY had made an offer to me already, which was less than Clunker Junker's offer, they were withdrawing their offer! Stellar, aren't they? That is price fixing, isn't it? (illegal) One star is too much! Needless to say, I went with a third company's bid.

I was skeptical as it all just seemed too easy. I expected to be delayed and then short changed when they picked the vehicle up. Wrong and wrong! Within an hour of accepting their offer, I got a call scheduling pickup. I scheduled it for the next day. By 5pm the next day, I assumed they weren't coming as it was now past business hours. Wrong again. I got a call just after 5 from the driver scheduled to pick up my car. He explained it would be a few hours before he could get here but he was coming. I live in a rural area so this wasn't unusual. He kept in contact and arrived as promised. He was pleasant and professional, and handed me a check for the amount quoted. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a car removed.

I had a very satisfactory experience selling my car to Clunker Junker (here in Western NY), and would recommend the company to others. My transaction was initiated on a Friday after business hours; the car was picked up and a check was in my hand on Tuesday morning.

1) Describing the vehicle through their web form was easy.
2) The offer came within minutes and was very reasonable (more than 3x what a salvage yard quoted me).
3) They accommodate multiple methods of communication. I found SMS texting very efficient.
4) They responded to my many questions in a timely manner.
5) The process allowed me to proceed at my own pace, and schedule.
6) Although the offer could have been adjusted after they saw photos of the vehicle, the offer stood. So they made a good estimate and I accurately described the features and condition, right?
7) Check was good!

Great experience! I did a google search for companies that will buy junk vehicles and ClunkerJunker was the first result and had a good rating. Their quotation process was simple, quick, and not frustrating in any way. I got another quote from their competitor who offered less money for the vehicle so it was a no brainer. I accepted the quote from ClunkerJunker and received a call within 25 minutes from a local company to schedule the pick up. The morning of the pick up the driver called me and we set a time, and he was even a bit early. I handed him the title and key and he handed me an envelope with cash for the exact amount quoted. He had the car loaded up and out of there in less then 10 minutes. I was highly impressed. He was also a super nice guy. I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend TheClunkerJunker.com to anyone needing to get rid of a junker!

I want through this business to sell my 2006 Corolla. Got an offer of $1240. I agreed to the amount and was told a vendor in San Diego would come pick it up and give me the cash or a check. I called them and set up a time to pick it up. A gentleman called and said he would be at my house at 8:00 AM. He called and said he was here. Went outside and expected a tow truck because that's what the email I received said that a tow truck would pick it up. Instead there was a gentleman that said I'm here to take pictures and look at your car. I told him that's not what I thought was going to happen. I thought I was going to get a check or cash and it would be towed off. Anyways he called his boss and his boss offered me $700. I said that's not what I agreed on. He told me it's not me I'm just here to appraise the vehicle. He said it happens all the time. Anyways we ended up agreeing on $1000. The email said that I received from clunker junker that we agreed on $1240. People beware. They're not gonna give you what you agree on.

Absolutely Amazing Excellent Service! I had no clue about this company. I did a google search, selected, entered my information and within seconds I had an offer. I said, no way this is real. I didn't readily accept because I was skeptical and thought hmm let me see if they rescind the off if I don't immediately respond. Well wrong again, the offer remained. I accepted and the offer remained the same. I followed the easy instructions, received follow up emails every step of the way. Offer still remained the same. I was in shock so then I decided to read the reviews, yes backwards but I was not disappointed with what I read. My vehicle was picked up within 1 day after I finalized everything on my end. And guess what the offer remained the same. The tow truck driver was even amazing. Even after giving him the Title I still didn't hand over the keys because I was waiting for a gotcha moment, nope he was making sure I was good. Needless to say, I will recommend, refer and scream from the rooftop CLUNKER JUNKER if you don't want any headaches or BS games.

Clunker Junker came out to pick up my car, *** it doesn't have a Catalytic Converter. and the $440 offer is now $100. I said what are you talking about? Yes it does have a Catalytic Converter. and its right there just past the header, the driver looks at me and says there's no Catalytic Converter. I again said yes. it's right there and I took a picture of it. I asked the driver what kind of bait and switch scam are you trying to give me? Driver said "Sir I'm just the driver. this is what I was told to tell you do you want the $100?" I asked the driver how he could lie to customers and sleep at night? once again he responded with I'm just the driver. I just shook my head and asked him to leave. Don't waste your time with Clunker Junker the company is running a SCAM! and I fell sorry for anybody that doesn't know much about vehicles and lets Clunker Junker take advantage of them. Clunker Junker are you out there? are you brave enough to respond? Do you have the integrity to honor the $440 offer you made me? not to mention the 2 hours I had to take off work. I wish I could include the picture I took today Infront of your driver showing the Catalytic Converter. today is Oct 18th 8:50pm pacific time. my bet is you run and hide hoping this will go away, trust me Clunker Junker this is just the beginning. Everybody keep checking back I will update if they make this right...

My issue with Clunker Junker is mainly with their third party towing company that they use in this area and being that they are associated with this business they are responsible as well. The initial process was good and the offer to pick up my vehicle was fair so I accepted. The towing company called me for a pickup time and asked me if my vehicle had the original catalytic converter still. Also he couldn't give me a reasonable pickup time within 2-3 hours and wanted me to sign and leave my vehicle title with keys with the business next door that was the reason why I was selling my car to begin with because of the damage they caused to my front end and said he would mail me a check. I told him that I recently had the exhaust system replaced and the converters were new. After telling him this he said that he could not offer me what Clunker Junker offered which was $470. He put me on hold and said that he can only offer $200 instead. I told him that that was not what was agreed to and the survey that Clunker Junker has online never specified anything about if the vehicle has the original catalytic converter or not. I was not going to let this guy take advantage of me and said no. I went with another competitor that offered me the same and everything went without a hitch. My main reason to write this review is to hopefully alarm consumers to be cautious in who you deal with when selling your car but also alerting businesses like Clunker Junker that your third party companies you deal with maybe scamming you and your customers.

if i could id leave zero stars because i am SO fed up with this company -or towing company they use. I called friday the 8th to have my car picked up. and was told it would be picked up in the next 1 or 2 days. Sunday rolls around and we havent heard anything so we reached out...And theyre closed, said theyll be in contact on when they'll be getting the car. We dont hear anything for 2 days, multiple texts and missed phone calls, no ACTUAL time or date when theyll be getting the car. Mind you we chose these people because they said they could "Absolutely squeeze us in that day" because it was URGENT we got the money, like keep your lights on URGENT!? I got off work early to be home to take care of the paper work just to be told he was on the way at 6:22 PM, FROM Williamsburg. 3 hours later, multiple phone calls and texts YET AGAIN, they finally respond and the "Driver got a blow out" OK fine. Sure. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt, but making me wait 3 hours for that kind of notice? leaving me no choice BUT to stay using these peoples "services" Ask what time we should be expecting them TODAY, Thursday. one day past the original pick up day. no response. get a text at 7:37 this morning saying they will be here at 11:30. 1130 rolls around, 12:00 rolls around 12:30 and they finally show up. Want to short me 60 dollars because it "doesnt run" I said you knew it didnt run it has a seized engine and dead battery... hes gotta "make some phone calls" 290. a week of back and forth, an entire day late. 60 dollars short and at the end of the transaction as im getting my plates? the AUDACITY to say i had miscommunicated and need to let them know when the car doesnt run- as if thats surprising- i said to put it frankly sir you asked me if the car ran i said no it does not and that was the end of the conversation. Details that werent collected beyond that sound like a you problem and you shorted ME for us, Were done here. and went inside. with my SHORTED MONEY.
