Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Order tracking

I ordered a front load washing machine online which was supposed to be delivered on the 30th of April. No communication was sent through on the delays and it wasn't even dispatched, even after the 30th the delivery date wasn't updated. A week passed and I called, I email and I even used the whatsapp option I never got any feedback. The only communication even after trying to reach them countless times was just an SMS on the 9th of May notifying me that the order has been dispatched. There was no link to track just an order number and a tracking number (which I have no idea who the courier is). The initial tracking link at this point is unnaccesible as it has expired and I never received another email with more details, just that one SMS. Their customer service is very very terrible, it's embarrassing for such a big company to be unable to keep their customers in the loop of the order status. This is probably the last time I'm ever gonna purchase anything from this store, I'm very disappointed. Nevertheless I'd like my order status to be updated and a link for tracking must be sent on email with all the necessary details.

I bought a 14kg Defy washing machine online by Game( mass discounters ) on the 25 July 2023

and paid R5799.00 Tomorrow it will be a month that im waiting for Game Stores to deliver the washing machine I've send countless emails,phoned customer service annd everyday i get the same excuse.they will follow and and get back to me,they still can't tell me when i will receive the item i paid for...im tired of this!went to the store at waterfall mall Rustenburg.they said they would have it resolved and still heard nothing.

I bought a stroller on Monday the 12th December 2022. On the 13th December I returned it as my baby was too big for the stroller. Today it has been 1 week and 3days still I am awaiting a refund as the item is blocked for refunds. It's been frustrating the constant phone calls and no luck how can 1 item take that long to be unblocked. I am so sceptical about buying anything at Game because I'm scared of the returns now due to this long wait. It's pathetic

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Undelivered defy fridge and russell hobbs microwave

Good day,

On the 11th of April 2022 i bought a Fridge and Microwave via online at Game and both products have not been delivered to me till this day. I have been in contact with Game calling them almost everyday and also in communication via E-mails and they told me my products have been dispatched and that they will make follow ups with the courier but till this day i don't know what's difficult in tracing my products because it's been a month now and they said their delivery policy is 5-7 working days. I paid them cash on the 11th of April but why are they failing to deliver till this day the 10th of May? Can the Complaints board please intervene in resolving this matter.

Desired outcome: Please deliver my goods asap or can i get my refund.

Hey good afternoon I HV bought urn on de 18 april then delivery was supposed 2 be on de 25th of April but they did not call nor 2 update me I called on de 26th of April only 2 be told my order was canceled due 2 no stock OK fyn I reguested my refund even today am still waiting am calling everyday ur online team always tell me different stories why is it so difficult 4 u 2 jst reverse my my money back do I HV 2 make calls everyday with no help why are u game store not taking your customers not serious Mara u really hurting us am deeply hurt I want my refund guys stop giving me run around u DE one Hu canceled my order without delivering my email is [protected]@gmail.com

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Cashier

I bought 2(Mobicel phones) on the 21st March 2022 at Game Soshanguve crossing and 1phone started giving me problems and took it in for repairs on the 28th March 2022 as it was still on Warranty. The cashier who assisted did not give me any document/receipt confirming same instead she said we will receive an sms with Reference number, which I did not receive till today's date. A month has passed and haven't heard anything from them. I went to the Store today (4/5/2022) to follow up and I was advised that I won't be assisted as I do not have a receipt which it was not given to me in the first place.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a way forward in this regard as to how can I be assisted.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Raleigh 26 Eclipse Mens MTB

I ordered the Bicycle for my son on the 9th of April already. Its been almost a month later and I still havent even received it. Already paid for it but received nothing. I followed it up with customer service 3 times already. All feedback they can give me is that order was not dispatched yet as they are looking for stock but seems like that is were it stays. Searching for stock for almost a month. Please assist as this was a present for my son.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Gaming headphones

On december 2021i bought gaming headphones at game store baywest. On 24 april I went to the store for a exchange or repairs. To my shock no one could assist the left side of the headphones doesnt work. Staff standig around but couldnt assist me. Didnt they went for training and very unfriendly. Please game train your staff to be polite. I had to come home with headphone asking me to come back. Poor and bad service. I mean there is a 12 month warranty on the stuff I bought it with my hard earn money.

Desired outcome: i would like to hear what the next steps refund or replacements.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Settlement payment on account

Settlement payment was made on my account on 30 October 2020 with an amount of R5742.00. Paid via interbank transfer to Game account details which I received on a settlement letter I requested. By now I'm handed over for debt collection. I provided my bank account statement as proof of payment which it was paid from but that doesn't help. I couldn't get the other proof of payment from the bank. Please assist as this has a bad impact on my credit record.

I placed order on the 8th of April followed up on Monday and today 21st still no responses. I need my refund. Have been on chats for hours with incompetent staff. Order number [protected].

Order was paid electronically. Your service as a big company sucks resolved issues versus unresolved shocking 😑

On the 22nd I was asked to forward my banking details todate no refund has been received. Have been sending dms and Twitter with no luck

I bought a 44 50cc chainsaw machine it's been more than 2 months now is not being repaired I don't know I can't get fully and explanation from the customer service definitely not well treated. This is not for the first time I bought defy stove sometimes early last year I had to wait for almost four months or because the glass shattered and I had no one was corresponding reporting back

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Game liqiour shop, about a sale advert on liqiour that was'nt available

Very unhappy. You advertise about a sale on your liqiour and then you dont have the item available and tomorrow the sale ends. In the time that the sale was on there was no items available at all. We wanted to buy 2 gift boxses with glasses included. We went to george game liqiour. There was an african lady working. I ask her to phone mosselbay and knysna game liqiour. She says they have nothing either. So she said there's a truck is coming the monday and she will phone us of it arrives, but she haven't call. So its very frustrating because you advertise a product and then you dont even have it in stock. That's very bad and poor service. We wanted Bains whiskey with 2 glases included for R249 and the Tangerey with a glass included also for R249.So dissapointing. We drove all the way for it aswell to come back dissapointed.

Dear Sir /Madam

I would like to log a complaint regarding poor service I received from staff members at Game Beacon Bay.

I purchased a tv (Hisense) from game store in August 2019 using a credit note received from Hisense because i returned a faulty TV. The second TV purchased at game store stopped working as well, please note that this is the second TV I am returning. For the second tv I lost the till slip but I knew the date i had purchased the TV, I went to Game Beacon bay customer service where I bought the second TV and told them my problem. They lady told me that it will take time to look for the slip so they can log a call with Hisense and I understood that because it is not their problem that I lost my slip.

Days and weeks went by without any contact from game, I kept going back to game so they can speed up the process, they eventually got the slip they logged a call with Hisense. The technician took about three weeks to come to my house to check the fault, after checking the fault he said the part that needs to be replaced but that part could not be ordered because they do not have the part, he said he will send a report to Game for them to apply for credit note on our behalf, that was mid March.

We only got a call from Game on 13 April to collect our TV, the guy that assisted us told us that our model was discontinued therefore they have a latest model which is R8000 and credit note from Hisense is R6000.

They guy at the TV department had such an attitude and told us to get something cheaper, smaller inch or take our cash. I asked him to call his manager, the manager did not even come to me he spoke with the sales guy on the side and the sales guy came back to say the manager says we must pay the R2000 difference. I do not understand why I must pay money I did not budget for as if I am the one at fault for the faulty TV.

I am very much dissapointed at game staff especially the manager for not even coming to me as customer to hear me out.

poor customer service from the ladies at customer service desk, tv sales staff and the manager.

Desired outcome: Please replace my 50 inch TV as per guarantee policy.Also bare in mind that its been months now my kids have no TV.I would like an apology from game staff and the manager for this ill treatment.

Such a terrible experience I've been barking like a dog for Salton Stove i bought yesterday i was there the attitude i got from the lady manager Stephanie it was disgusting i will never recommend game from any one else in the world you such bad store

I need my money back i need to buy stove somewhere i can't stand this Game nonsense

I went to game they said i must come and collect they gonna swap the stove for me when i get there Quinton said he can't help me i have to take the same stove i think i need to go to the police for a robbery case now how can you treat me like this or else its because im black they let me walk up and down their shop every day

All im getting is disgusting attitude

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Customer service at Parow Centre Game Store

I asked the supervisor if there was anyone available to help me at the jewelery counter, she just looked at me and said she would call her now. When the girl came she asked very loudly, where is the person that had me called, I stepped out and said hi, can she show me the bangles please, she replied its not 9ct,i said yes I know I want to see it please, very irritated she opened the cabinet, saying to her colleague, is there anyone else that can stand here cause she's loosing sales at the cellphone counter and her pwasa is already in its glory, while I'm standing there deciding which item to choose. I asked what the prices are and she looked at me irritated and took the item and tried to look for the price while making sounds with her teeth or tongue. Eventually she got the price and I asked if I should pay there or at the normal till, she put the items on the counter and said just go pay there. I left. Got to the cashier who was very friendly and I asked if they give gift boxes, she said yes. I had to ask the supervisor who told me they don't have, I told her I just saw and there is enough, she looked like she wanted to swear at me and said she'll call the girl again who had already left. Wow. At that moment I felt so mistreated and handled, I wanted to leave the store. I purchased something for my mother's birthday, I could have gone to another store and they could have lost a sale, which they didn't seem to care about at all. The service was very unpleasant, they were very unfriendly and curt.

Desired outcome: An apology would be nice. I would like the two ladies to be disciplined for customer service. The supervisor and jewelery cashier. A complimentary gift for poor customer service

I bought a microwave online it was delivered on the 15th of February. I opened the box few days and found the microwave has a dent on the corner. I called them , even sent an email. They told me about 7 day rule. And that they have escalated the matter. Even today they haven't responded. The painful part is that m not using that microwave because m still waiting for their response

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Items paid for - delivery not upheld!! No communication from game!!!

I am having the most horrible experience with Game online. I purchased a washing machine and fridge online all paid for 28th March 2022. The expected delivery timescales were 5-7 days. It is noted on the website that if there is a delay with the items and it cannot be delivered within the 5-7 days timescale Game will contact the consumer and inform them of the delay and the reason behind this. By Monday the 04 April 2022, I had heard nothing and my online account showed order in process. So I called the online customers services, the agent I spoke to informed me that this has not been dispatched as yet and he is not sure why, but he will submits an escalation for the items to be delivered. I further informed him that I had done the purchase and worked around the delivery times so that I could get off from work to wait for this delivery and that the items must be delivered by Wednesday, if not they need to communicate and let me know. Wednesday 06th April 2022, morning I checked my online account and find its still in dispatched status, so I followed up again on Wednesday at 8:44am, the lady said to me, its with the couriers and she will try to call the courier company whilst I hold. She returns telling me she cannot get a hold of the courier company, she will make a note and escalate the matter taking into consideration that I had sold my old fridge knowing that this order will be delivered latest Wednesday and that I would not be able to take any more time off from work to await this order. I asked that she have this escalated and she said she will, I asked what is the turnaround time for someone to contact me, she advised that someone will get in contact with me before the day is over. at 12:00pm on Wednesday so I called in again, I spoke to the same lady Valencia, and asked her why no one has called she informed me that she raised the matter and will follow up. I asked her to please verbally inform her senior management team of my situation and the urgency of getting the fridge delivered considering my circumstances, I told her I expect that someone would get back to me in the next hour, she said yes and I ended the conversation. There was no communication from Game for the rest of the day on Wednesday and certainly no delivery. I called again on Thursday morning 07 April 2022 and spoke to a lady by the name of Valencia, she informed me that the washing machine is out on delivery but not the fridge. As one can imagine the frustration levels that set in as at this point the item that I need the most was not going to be delivered, I asked her what the issue was and she said theres no stock. I then said to her that when I purchased this item there was stock availability hence why I purchased it and paid for it so why is there no stock, and why am I being told 11 days later that this is the case, when I call in. I asked her why Game did not communicate this to me, or updated the portal or send an email, and why didnt the two consultants that I spoke to during the week not tell me that this item is not in stock. She apologised for their errors. I stated that this is not going to help me considering the situation I am in and asked to speak to a manager. I told her that they should consider swapping the fridge for the same size, at the same cost and having this delivered to me by Friday as I need this. I said that I cannot afford to do a refund now, as the refund process is too long and I cannot afford the wait. She told me yes the refund process is long. So I again said, please get the fridge swapped, she then says she will make the notes on the system. I said to her I cannot sit around waiting for someone to read the notes, and want to speak to a manager. I was not surprised that after putting me on hold, no manager was available as she was in a meeting, the manager asked Phelokazi to tell me that she does not know when they will get stock of the fridge I purchased, and that she does not know if she can get the fridge swapped they will escalate it and the person dealing with my query will let me know if this can be swapped. So yet again and other solution to assist me clearly couldn't be looked at, the manager couldn't be asked to take my call, or try and give me alternatives to sort the problem out. I informed Phelokazi that there are many stores in the area I live in, can they not get one she says they are still checking. I still said to her that this item is currently still on line selling now at a cheaper price and showing as available, so why can I not get my fridge. Again I said to her it appears that Game is just misleading its consumers into believing that certain items are available, get the consumer to pay and then let the consumer wait, without bothering to let them know whats going on. So every question I asked about this fridge and why I have not been kept in the loop has not been answered, I have been misled into believing that both my items will be delivered latest Wednesday 06 April 2022. I have been misled on the availability of the product. And I have been misled into thinking a massive store of this nature will communicate with me regarding any delays. I have lost time off from work, and about to have all my food items spoiled due to this. And no one at Game seems to be able to assist me. There is no complaints department, no complaints number, there is no other way of me getting in touch with someone higher to assist me. Basically I am now expected to just sit around until someone at Game decides to assist me. They have my money, but cannot deliver on what they have promised and have left me in a worse of situation, because they are unable to provide me with a level of duty and care and skill that I require as a customer. At the time of sending this review, still no call and no delivery.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Extended Warranty

I purchased a microwave in 2018 and added an extended warranty, the microwave now has a defect, I've waited 21 days and was issued with a slip that states it will be replaced when arriving at the store I'm told it's 6 weeks because it's an extended warranty. When the warranty was sold to us we were not informed of the 6 weeks because it's an extended warranty. Meaning the sales people at Game Carnival was not compliant, extremely pathetic and digusted by the situation, I will never recommend the extended warranty or game stores

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Purchase of a Samsung A03 Core cellphone on Monday 21 March 2022

i bought the above mentioned phone at Galleria Mall and put on a screen protector and bought a new casing as well. I started using the phone and realized that something is wrong as the pictures in the gallery are dark and I really can view the videos on my Amazon Prime App as it is very dark.

All the settings on the phone was checked but there was no change to the quality of the videos and pictures.

I decided to go to the closest Game store to me, which is Game Riverside Mall, Shelly Beach on 23 March 2022 to complain about the quality of the phone’s settings and I was turned away! I told them that this problem is reported within 5 days of buying the phone and they must assist and was told I should go all the way back to Telepage in Port Shepstone which is the local Vodacom branch for repairs to all phones. I was very unhappy when I left the store as I even tried to show them on one of the store’s phones that there is a problem but since the phone was not connected to a server it did not help at all.

I visited Telepage the same day and even their technician could not repair or adjust the quality of the photos and video and I was informed this is a setting error and was referred back to Game to replace the phone. I told them what the attitude of Game was and was advised to complain to the Consumer Board.

I reported the matter to Game Stores online on 24 March and did not receive any reply from them even after I sent a follow up email on Friday 25 March 2022.

As prosecutor I can’t struggle with a phone and I need a dual sim phone! I receive a lot of information in the form of videos and photos on my phone and when I want to relax I watch movies on the Amazon Prime app. I paid good money for this phone and it does not function the way it should. It was also never disclosed that there are setting defects with the phone to enable me to make an informed decision if the phone would be suitable for my needs or not.

This issue should be addressed NOW and I want my money back! I am not supposed to struggle like this to have the phone replaced as there is clearly a setting problem which can’t be fixed by myself or a technician. The dark area across the screen is also unusual and unacceptable for a brand new phone!

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Vacuum Cleaner

From 28th January I sent my vacuum cleaner in for fixing. Extended warranty so now they don't care or bother. I went to the store three weeks back and the lady at customer service at [protected]@ carnival Game said that I will get a call by that Friday. No call. I am done Game, I want my vacuum cleaner back. What kind of service is this. So long for a repair for a pump that keeps going in that machine. Its been more in service then it has been with me to work in the last 4 years. Kindly advise of the way forward. Its already over the limit for a repair, then you should rather refund me and keep your broken machine. From the 16th of March the person on the twitter account has been referring the matter to the store but still no reply. Why does it take this long? I go to the store customer service is on lunch for 3 hours and no one else can assist me.
