Fred Meyer Grants pass pharmacy

Always a long line with at least a twenty minute wait. Rude employees with no compassion. Apparently they serve 4000 people, at least that's what I was told, so I suppose they feel that's a reason to be disrespectful. Tried to call and straighten this out with the pharmacist but the recording still stated they were closed. I was just talking to them in person. Disorganized.

Fred Meyer Pharmacist in charge Sat. Jan. 8th and Sunday Jan. 9th at Fred Meyer Interstate in Portland, OR in

I called the pharmacy to request a refill of an eyedrop I have been using for one of my animals on Saturday Jan 8th. The gentleman I spoke with told me it would be ready on Jan. 10th in the afternoon. A few minutes later I received a call from a woman in the pharmacy (who did not identify herself, but later turned out to be the pharmacist), who told me that this prescription was not "due for refill" yet, and I would have to call back on the 18th of Jan. I was confused since I had just been told that I could pick it up in two days. I tried to get more information, and explained that I was about to run out of the eyedrop. When I told her that I had not had any issue previously regarding when I could request a refill, since I was paying out of pocket, and not with insurance, she told me "This is not an excuse for overusing the medication."

When I had picked up the initial bottle of medication a number of months ago the pharmacist who gave it to me had told me that the bottle should last six weeks at the prescribed dosage. This has turned out to be true. I double-checked on Sunday the 9th, and realized that I had picked up the last bottle 5 and a half weeks earlier. On December 2nd. When I called back to try to explain this, and to ask again if it would be possible to refill because I was close to running out, the person I spoke with referred me to this same woman and told me that she was the pharmacist. When the pharmacist got on the line, before I could say anything, she told me "This is not an argument, Paula." She reiterated what she had said the day before about not calling back until the 18th. When I tried to tell her that it had been nearly 6 weeks since I picked up the last bottle, and that I had been told that the bottle should last 6 weeks, she told me that in fact the bottle should last 50 days, not 6 weeks.

This is an eyedrop for a pet. Not only is the dropper extremely difficult to control, making getting only one drop out at a time difficult, but if the pet moves or blinks, and I miss getting the drop into the eye, I have to use a second or third drop.

All I am trying to do is take care of my animal, who has multiple eye conditions and other health problems. I am not trying to do anything "bad" or "wrong." I'm not trying to cause problems. Is this is a new rule for 2022 that if a prescription should supposedly last 50 days I am not allowed to request a refill for 47 days, even if am paying out of pocket?

I do understand that it has been a VERY difficult couple of years for essential workers, and that staff at stores are stressed and stretched, but I would appreciate having more information about why I am being told two different sets of things about refilling this prescription and the volume in the bottle. I also do not feel that it is appropriate for this pharmacist to have taken out her frustrations about her job on me, the customer. I am also stretched and stressed and being told I am "arguing" when I am simply trying to get clarity, and being accused of "overusing" a medication on my pet seems really inappropriate on the part of this employee.

Desired outcome: Discussion between pharmacist and her supervisor re. customer service issues. Explaination to me of the rules around refilling this prescription if thee have been changes. Apology from this pharmacist for treating me so udely.

Fred Meyer Arbitrary rejection of valid checks.

We are making this complaint with regards to a recent interaction with the Port Orchard Fred Meyer store where they arbitrarily rejected two of our checks for no apparent reason.
Fred Meyer contracted with Certegy, a check authorization company, located in Tampa Florida.
After attempting to resolve the problem with Fred Meyer and after many attempts to reach Certegy and failing to get anyone to provide us with a resolution, we are reaching out to you. It's very frustrating to have a credit rating of 850 and thousands of dollars in our bank account just to have our purchases blocked. When Fred Meyer made arrangements to do business with Certegy they should have set up a way to reconcile problems. Please help us resolve this problem.

Fred Meyer Poor service, only 1 pharmacist on duty.

I had a prescription submitted to Fred Meyer for an antibiotic at 9am. The store pharmacy opened at 11am. I arrived at 2pm and the pharmacist told me she was alone and it would take her several more hours to fill the prescription. I don't blame her, she does not make the rules. But Fred Meyer management clear does not care about customer service or delivering medications to those that need them ASAP. On my way home, I stopped by Walgreens to pick up one item. I tried at Fred Meyers, but lines were at least 20 people long. They did not provide a fast check out lane. I put the item back and went to another pharmacy (see below).

I have had two insurances for years. The pharmacist at Fred Meyer also told me that I needed to call the insurance company to tell them which is primary. I have had the same two insurances for over 7 years and never had to go through this. It was Sunday, so of course I could not call. She said it was because they issued new cards (which the do every year). She said she would bill me by cash and I would have to sort it out with the insurance company myself. Again, this is not her fault, but reflects the dismal customer service and lack of caring by management. She would not let me just tell her which is primary.

To pick up the item i wanted, I stopped at another pharmacy (not Fred Meyer). I picked the item up and was able to quickly check out. I also noted that the pharmacy had 3 people working, not just 1 like at Fred Meyer. I asked them if they accepted my insurances, and they said yes.

I highly suggest that people do not use the Fred Meyer pharmacy. Actually, with no way to rapidly check out, I suggest that you avoid Fred Meyer altogether. It is clear that management does not care about customer service. I gave then a rating of 2 out of 5 (and not a 1), only because I felt sorry for the poor woman in the pharmacy having to deal with customers, checking out, and filling prescriptions all by herself.

By the way, it is easy to change pharmacies for where prescription go. Most can be done online. Alternatively, next time you ask for a refill, ask your physician to change pharmacy.

Desired outcome: I think the store is hopeless. I am just trying to assist others from having to deal with Fred Meyer customer service.

Fred Meyer Pharmacy - treatment of customers

Hello,

At about 9:30am on 12/23 in Canby, OR, myself and my mom (and another customer) experienced extremely horrific and debilitating behavior from a woman (mid-20s, long dyed-grey hair) in the pharmacy.

Her attitude was atrocious, condescending, and caused anxiety to the guests trying to pick up their prescriptions.

The pharmacy displayed two signs that shared conflicting information about hours. One was a white printout that explicitly stated pharmacy hours were 9am - 7pm M-F. Separately, a "professionally printed" sign stated different hours.

The woman in question was extremely rude telling us that we had the hours wrong -- when we pointed out the conflicting signs, she made comments of "the big red sign" being too difficult for us to read -- her condescending tone was through the roof and there is no place in this world (or for someone in a customer service job) for that behavior. She is old enough to know better and she clearly did not care about her job or the customers she was required to serve.

There were several witnesses in the pharmacy -- most folks behind the counter were shaking their head at her behavior. I inquired to the acting manager how I submit a formal complaint against this woman -- if I was her manager, she would have been fired and walked out the door immediately for causing undue pain and suffering upon customers of Fred Meyer.

At this point in time, we have still not received our prescriptions. Additionally, when you call the pharmacy, the hours stated on the recording are 9am-7pm and when speaking to someone at the pharmacy, 9am is stated.

Fred Meyer Check out

Checking out has gotten so very inconvenient! At 10:00 am on a Thursday, December 16, 2021, customers with full grocery carts forced to choose between all but two (2) checkout stands with checkers. The rest of us (15-20 of ya) with a few items were lined up waiting to get through the south end self-serve. The north end self-serve was not open.
This set up seems to be a constant reoccurrence at Fred's. Less checkers... more self serve.

Sometimes, at the self serve, customers with full carts (who ignore the 15 or less items). take up the time the rest of us need to get through quickly.

Desired outcome: Better management of scheduling checkers! More check our stations need to be open!

Fred Meyer Manager of Scappoose Store

I witnessed your Store Manger berating an elderly women for leaving the store with an item, she went to her car got out a cloth bag and was coming back into the store. She trying to tell the Manger she was still going to pay for everthing but needed to use the bathroom fast and the Manger did not care and very rude with the lady. You could tell she was embarrassed and trying not to cry. I talked to her out in the parking lot she told me she had potty herself while was berating her. I am very disappointed and discussed with Fred Mayers management and that you would such things to happen in your store. I get taking the item wit her was not a smart move but this could have been handle in a more human manner. Far as I'm concerned until management changes I will not be back and will be telling very one I know how you allow your management to treat people

Fred Meyer Service - staff.

I am in the store right now. The few checkouts that are open are moving slowly. Every line goes to the end of the aisle. I have a picture. This is unacceptable. There were stock people all over the store. I will find alternate stores that appreciate their shoppers. I couldn't shop due to all the people in line standing in front of the products and your stockers in the aisles.

Fred Meyer Fred meyer gas station on Barbour blvd. Portland OR

I am a frequent customer at the station on Barbour Blvd. as it is in my neighborhood. I pulled in and proceeded to wait in a long line. I pulled up to a pump, my tank was on the other side. Never had I had a issue with them reaching around to fill my car. One attendant informed me that they no longer do the reach around at the pumps any longer. So I got back into my car and pulled into a spot vacant on the other side. The second attendant refused to fill my tank, saying I cut the line, which I was currently in. I explained that the first attendant informed me of the reach around "rule" and that I was already in the line. Attendant #2 said the rule has been in effect for a week and refused to pump my gas. No signs are posted to inform the customer and no news regarding such is posted online. How are customer's supposed to be aware of this rule? Needless to say, you have just lost a long time customer.

Fred Meyer Service/staff

Half of staff not wearing masks or not wearing appropriately. No attempt to enforce mask mandate with any customers. Other fred meyer stores in oregon have staff at each entrance to enforce mask requirements. Tenney road fm in vancouver, wa does not. Very rude cashier when questioned about this. I will not shop at your store if masks are not required... As mandated by law!

Fred Meyer The people

Hi, it seems that everyday I work at this location in Shoreline Washington 998133, that I am asking a lot of questions like where are the cotton balls, and this is an ongoing thing that needs to stop because some other associates are so tired of dealing with it, so they have to make Mary deal with these type of customers. It seems the customers need Mary to make an estimate on all clothing and their are fake old men driving around in mart carts pretending they can't hear for no reason at all and they are doing wheelies with the mart cart and going down each aisle. Also it seems that the evening shift associates have to come in longer so that Mary has to wait to have her lunch and that is not fair. It seems that certain customers know when a certain associate is at the waiting room, and it seems the same customers keep coming in and stares at Mary and this is creepy why should she deal with this kind of behavior. Customers are very rude and always yelling at the associates. This needs to stop all of the associates that work here are getting abused by associates and this needs to stop!

Fred Meyer Unsafe store

In Medford Oregon South Fred Meyers about 20% of customers were without masks. One customer saw my wife with a mask and intentionally coughed in her face. When my wife complained to a store manager, they said there was nothing they could do. We then proceeded to take pictures of the people in the store without masks on at which point one man tried to fight us. We took his picture too.

Fred Meyer Pharmacy

October 19, 2021 refilled 2 Rxs using app. October 22, 2021 app said still in progress.Called pharmacy.Was told it hadn't been started, to check back in an hour.Went to drive thru & got overcharged.Asked for price check 2 times, gal refused.Parked & went in. Waited 20 minutes to be served. After arguing for 15 minutes with 3 different people, got refund. I was charged $12 for a $3.42 Rx. Next, November 2nd, ordered a refill on phone, as app didn't work so well last time. Was told it would be ready to pick up November 3rd after 5pm. After calling for status November 3rd & 4th & getting the "in progress" message, I called pharmacy. It rang 30 times before someone picked up. The gal said it wasn't started yet & could I wait until tomorrow. She said they were opening at 10am. Today, November 5, 2021 I went to drive thru at 1145am. They were closed. I called. It rang 45 times, no answer. I called Fred Meyer customer service. They told me they'd transfer me to pharmacy. I was on hold 10 minutes. Customer service gal came back & said they won't answer, they're too busy. So busy, they've closed the drive thru. I asked her if there was a long line of customers, as I'm disabled & can't stand in line a long time. She said there were no customers in line. I'm certain I don't have to tell you how unacceptable this is. I'm switching to Walgreens, even though I'll be paying more, at least I'll be getting my medicine on time.

Fred Meyer pharmacy doctor

I went it to get a Shingles shot. The Dr. was totally unfriendly, no hello or smile acted like I was a pain in his side. He swiped my arm with alcohol and just jabbed me with the needle, no care at all. I was done in 15 seconds and out the door as he said come back in 2-6 months for next shot. It was the worst treatment of a shot I have ever experienced. I was so sore after the shot I couldn't sleep. This was unacceptable . 2 weeks ago I had the flu shot by another doctor, who was friendly, empathic and careful with how he administrated the shot. So I know Fred Meyers and do better. Please address this with the doctor at Monroe Fred Meyers. I don't know the doctors name but my name is Louise Edwinson and I had the shingle shot on 11/1/21. You should be able to look that up and address this complaint.

Fred Meyer Pharmacy

Seriously ill, hard time breathing. ER doctor submitted 2 prescriptions FM pharmacy I regularly use. 4 trips, 6 techs, & 7 hours to get a prescription filled for returning customer, w/same insurance for years. Paid CASH just to prevent another ER visit. Pharmacy wanted us to PROVE there was no 2nd insurance. No excuse for inadequate service! Never Again will I use Fred Meyer Pharmacy!

Fred Meyer None

This isn't actually a complaint, I couldn't find out how to say thank you to one of the company's employees. I have no idea what his name is, he helped me pick out a good spirit to put in my penne pasta. He was such a tremendous help! He works off of Abbot and I was there about 1430. Please tell him how amazing the sauce turned out. I will most definitely be shopping there for more advice. My children and husband ate seconds, which is rare. Thank you to whoever you are!

Fred Meyer Gas station Medford OR

Today, 9/22, 3:45 PST, is channeling tons of cars & trucks down to only 2 gas pumps. One very over weight white male is "in charge." In reality, it's a dangerous situation. Drivers are impatient, gunning their guns and generally yelling at other drivers.

Desired outcome: Hire more paumpers!For the price per gallon, you must pay more to hire them.

Fred Meyer How associates are being treated.

Hi, it seems I know someone who works in the apparel and cosmetics department and it seems that this associate is always being treated unfairly and she gets into trouble for leaving early, while the associates like, Elizabeth, Aneila and Palwonder get away with everything and they think they are the boss and they keep telling this associate what to do, while they get to boss associates around and sit on their butt while they are on their phones and they hang around the bathroom during their shift and they get to stand around or go shopping while they are still on the job, and they even leave early and they don't say anything to anybody so this needs to stop, and in the apparel and cosmetics department their are too many people working in these departments. So I think these ladies need to get yelled at for a changed and get things taken away from them. This associate that they are picking on is planning on transferring to another location to work with capable nicer people who work their butt off and not harass or bully other associates, this happens alot at the shoreline Washington Fred Meyers. So if I were you, I would find another Fred Meyers to work at, I heard alot of associates are quitting their job at this location.

Fred Meyer Lack of customer service

Fred Meyer Salmon Creek Pharmacy in Vancouver, WA

I have several prescriptions at the above pharmacy so make frequent trips. The wait time / lines are getting longer and longer. Recently, I turned and walked out of the store because there were approximately 12 people in line ahead of me. Each time there is only one person working the "pick up" line even though there are 3 cash registers available. Please provide good customer service by hiring more help.

People needing prescriptions are often ill, in pain, etc. and need to get their Rx in a timely manner. This morning I waited 10 minutes in line and then was told I had to wait for the pharmacist to clear me. I waited 3 minutes, took my items and left.

Desired outcome: Hire more help! Or start paying your customers for their wait time.

Fred Meyer Security

You know I spend thousands of dollars with you guys constantly I buy laptops I buy tablets I buy iPads whatever and I go there and for the last four visits at the Fred Meyers over here in Portland Oregon addresses 1111 Southeast 102nd have Portland Oregon it's ridiculous that no matter what I do or when I go they follow me constantly just in the blatantly following me I go there the last four times and their security following me I opened soda that I paid for their security check in my receipt right then and there not even waiting for me to leave outside the door and constantly treating me like a criminal every time I use my debit card you're not self checkout I have to show my ID when I'm pin verified you know if I pick up more than two items the security wants to walk me to the check stand to make sure I pay for it it's kind of b******* if you guys don't want my business that bad then I'll stop going but honestly all I am doing is just trying to buy simple electronic things and tools every once in awhile and some groceries but I don't need security on my [censored] 24/7
