Ten days ago we got an incorrect bill. We called through your rotary system and spoke to several people ending with a supervisor who said he did not understand the bill either and would research it and contact us by e-mail. That never happened. Now we have tried to get a "real person" on the rotary system and it wont let us. We need to talk to someone about this bill. please contact me at [protected]. Pike enterprises (electric co.)
Today is Thurs. 9/29/22. I understand you ask out of state electric companies to come to Florida to help. But get better organized. I live at 1840 SW 67 Terrace, North Lauderdale, 33068. Pike truck number DOT 165182 has been parked outside my home since 9:02am. It is now 11:12am He was followed by three other trucks (one parked behind him and the other two are parked on 18ct.) Employees of Pike have done nothing but stand around on the corner laughing and talking for 2+ hours now. Shortly after the four trucks arrive and supervisor? joined them and guess what? he's standing around talking as well. Since they get paid by the hour could you at least find a down wire for them to fix? I mean who cares if Ft. Myers is under water? Or my relatives in Tampa are without power. Just hirer guys to patrol my corner. It's not only disgusting but unacceptable. If someone is responsible of delegating then ... DO YOUR JOB

Over charging customers / no customer service
My power bills are out of control. am a single women. bills have wnt up $ 30.00 a month. $ 208.00 to $ 233.00.
i can 't get customer service on the phone. the phone system is a amaze.
if you get a rep who just reads a script, you a transfred to an energy specialist. A specialist is impossible to get on the phone. Y ou go on a perement hold. the cll backs get disconnected.
as much money as they are ripping off customers for, they cn afford more customer service. i have an elderly mom to care for, can't spend al day on the phone.
people need to stand up against this company ripping them off, and providing little customer service.

Power has been out 5 times from 08-01-2022 to 09-13-2022 (problem tree limbs grown into your power easement) as per your service tech. note power has been out over 24 hours for most of the 5 times. How can you give (Irby) the underground line company permission to install a huge utility pole in my yard. After they told me no new poles they lied to us I believe they are moving it From my neighbors yard because they are friends this is wrong. I bought this house 11 yrs ago with 1 utility pole and now I have 3, something is very wrong here. Im contacting you to ask if it was punishment for not letting them put a huge box in my yard because im getting a fence. Please get back to me. Imposed deposit
My account has had a deposit imposed of $600 because of not paying with auto withdrawal. I pay my bill late, but it has not been interrupted which means I keep my account active. I also changed my energy usage by turning off my air conditioning and I received a letter saying I have to pay a deposit placed on my account because of late payments. I already have a late payment fee. It's my business if I pay late and have a fee, this is vindictive. It's a complete LIE! They forecast my bill will be considerably lower if I continue with my air conditioner off and they decided to make it up by forcing a deposit. This should be unlawful and immoral.
Desired outcome: I want the deposit refunded or credited to my account.
We also had a deposit imposed on our bill! This is outrageous! We need to get help to get these “deposits removed!
Live FPL electric lines
I purchased a vacant lot over a year ago & reported to FPL that live wires running THROUGH the lot need to be safely moved to the easement area.
This request has been ongoing for a YEAR, even after I had the heavily wooded lot cleared! John Lupoe was in charge of this & has neglected to complete it for many MONTHS! My buyer for that lot is apprehensive due to the live wires!
Desired outcome: Move the live wires to the easement.
Electric Bill Too High
I live in a condo less than 1000 sq ft, hot water and gas NG is supplied by the Condominium a common laundry room is available that means we don't have electric range, electric hot water, no dryer and washer, or any other appliance that would justify the high energy consumption, the Central A/C is 2 tons, and provide a TD (temperature/diferencial) of 15 degrees, I has been calling FPL with no results, the only answer that I get is " we are experiencing high calls values please hang on the line" the web site energy manager is a joke, the usage seem to be calculated on weather temperature, by the "smart meter" that means if the customer shot down lights, and rise the thermostat to 80 F and leave the place on vacation for two weeks, the bill will be the same, FPL expend thousand of dollars by the minute in commercial tv's making people to believe that energy cost in Florida are cheaper than the rest of the Country FALSE, I already checked with friends and relatives in Lousiana and Georgia, and we are not even close at what they pay every month. We used to live on a 3 bedrooms house on Miami South West with our own laundry room, electric water meter, 3 tons and half A/C and we never paid over $180 a month.
FPL don't have to be too "smart" about my billing history, they have my records from both locations if they don't I Have it.!
Desired outcome: I need a physical check up of the Smart meter" and a refund for the over charges,
Today I was able after a year trying to speak with an "Energy Expert" from FPL at least I was told
about such expertise, honestly the poor woman didn't know the difference between watts and amps draw, I'm a EPA certified Tech since 1999 it was quite difficult for me to explain about theirs "smart meter" and took another option 1579 KWh in 32 days service is equal to 49.343 KWh daily
since the only appliance pulling 220V is the Central Unit a calculation KWH to ampers used should be at 120 V that means according to a conversion chart KWh to amps our little apartment is using
433.33 amperes draw per day ? since we both work and comeback home after 6pm the usage at least should be reduced 14 hours of 24, I took picture of the central A/C when running
and pull less than 10 Amps, and when cycle off the energy used is reduced to 2.31 Amps, obviously something is going on, now what they want to do about it? they want to come to check the apartment and then I could ask to check out the "smart Meter" my call was about the electric service no the structure or the building so they want to come over to blame the age of the apartment instead of taking responsibility of the service and admit the rip off. I will not waist my time anymore I will take my claim directly to PSC Public Service Comission with the State of Florida that is the proper department to talk about it.
Deposit being demanded from me
Today i called up to pay my bill and was met with a deposit amount which i cannot pay. When i opened this account i was credit checked and was never asked for a deposit being i have good credit and still do. I have been back in the uk now for a little under a year which was not planned but due to health issues i have had to remain here. In the meantime i am out of work and i very little money to live on just enough to pay utility bills and rent in miami which are always paid. In the last months there has been months that the power has been turned off but always within 5 mins when i learn this has happpened i am calling up to pay the bill.this has happened as i am not at the property and have been dealing with my health and also i never receive any copies of the bill via mail as i am not there and also fpl had the wrong email and i was not aware that u could pay by auto pay. Anyways i argued all my points today and once i was told about auto pay i offered to sign up immediately to ensure bills are paid on time. All answers were no and its now looking like i have to make a trip back ti the us to move out of the property. The staff were super rude today and simply said yes move out if u cannot pay the deposit can soremeone pleaxe help me

i would also like to add that i have never been on autopay.. was never offered this option.. i do not owe fpl any money.. whenever my bills come in and if they do accidently fall into disconnection the moment this happens the bill is paid within 5 mins of this happening.. although i should not happen allow this to happen for the past year i have been totally wiped out with health issues and been residing in the uk to resolve these which unfortunately do come before anything else in my life right now. i receive no mail from fpl as i am not in florida and fpl did not have the correct email for me so i was not receiving any emails. also trying to get through by phone to them can take hrs which i cannot sit on an overseas number to call them as it costs too much money. i have asked them to please put me on autopay for the first time and then all bills will be paid on time and there will be no more late payments. they completely denied me stating oh well mam you will have to move out of the property if you cannot pay and there is no one to help you! this is absolutely disgraceful. and i deserve to be given a chance of autopay. they lied yesterday and said sorry mam the system will not let us give you that option. which is a total lie as a neighbor of mine in miami had the same thing happen and they overrode the situation and now she is on autopay. please help!

Electric service
So far for the past three days in late afternoon without any storms in my immediate area we have had a problem with the power going out and on numerous times within an hours time. My concern is that this is bad really bad for my appliances and electronic equipment. FPL was contacted about thios on day one and yet the issue continues. If there is going to be and outage then so be it but the on/off issue within a short time needs to stop. I believe it may be a fault of the transformer or a transformer along the line. Next stop Power service commision yet again.
Desired outcome: fix the issue and contact cutomer to explain what the issue was and was the correction was. Don't want to here generic their was a problem with fpl equipment response and really don't care how many effected.

I have been a customer off and on with FPL for over 15 years and recently at 415 North BRIGGS Ave #606.
My final bill was $319.03 with an extra charge from my budget bill. It was explained to me and I have paid in full but for the future, I will need more details on why I was charged twice as it genuinely wouldn't make sense if you looked at my 7 years of service at that location from July 2015 till today.
I would prefer to speak to a Manager and not email but I was told they don't talk about the phone, which for a person in CUSTOMER service I find odd.

Electric deposit and no one to help!
Hello, I am frustrated because I keep getting charged by the Florida Power & Light Company. FPL said it was due to my bank rejecting the amount but I have contacted my bank multiple times to figure out the issue, but the bank never got a request. So first I was charged an additional $20 by FPL and then $40 more! I tried to call fpl for help to figure out this issue but no one was there to help just multiple automated machines!
Desired outcome: I would like the $70 to be dropped from my account. I’m very frustrated!!
FPL is the WORST company. My elecitric bill has more than doubled since they took over. We keep our AC at 77 degrees, have gas stove, gas water heater. WHY? You can call but they never have any thing to say except it's my fault. Why is it when we had Gulf Power my bill was $250-$275 and now it's $500.00? WHY WHY WHY. How could any decent human work for this company when all they do is rip off it's customers and make them choose between electric or food and medicine. GOD HELP US ALL.

On Saturday I checked my bank checking account balance and noticed a charge and I disputed it. Turns out it was a fraudulent charge made through an app, I notified the bank and they put a hold on my checking account. A few days later FPL tried to bill be through the Automated Bill Program, The bill was not due until Sept 7, the ABP was attempted prior to Sept. 1. Since my checking account it was to be billed to was put on hold, the charge did not go through. Subsequently FPL charged me $25 for a bounced charge. I have been trying to reach a live person to explain, but no success. Please help. I was able to add the new checking account number to my ABP so we are good going forward I believe. But the charge is unfair.
Desired outcome: Reverse the $25 charge.
Moving power lines for construction project
For 3 months i have been informing FPL that we needed power lines temporarily moved a construction project. I have met or spoke with multiple FPL employees and contractors and was assured this would be done in time. The restaurant is nw closed for safety for construction and 87 employees temporarily laid off and we are sitting here idle waiting for FPL to move the power lines. Viking utility has already ran all of the underground conduit that FPL requested. I need this done asap to get my employees back to work and also because i have $8000 in leased scaffolding that is halfway built and we cant use yet because the power is not moved.
Desired outcome: Move power ASAP so we can continue construction

We are very disturbed to learn via sudden outrageously, extraordinarily high charges that you have slapped an additional, non sensical charge onto our account. You suddenly decided to go green with your electronic only statements without informing us re that decision. You then sent statements via emials without warning us.
We run a busy medical office and don't get to emails sometimes for weeks on end. We do not get patient referrals via email; therefore, we have no reason to read emails daily. After all the years that we have paid you successfully and on time, you jump to the first chance you get to charge a small business coming out of the Covid mess. Shame on your company. The late payments were all your fault. We called your company several times over the past few months to ask for paper statements, only the last call was successful. Your other call centers shrugged us off with no solution. Look back at all the years we have paid you on time. In addition to all of the above, you have now raised your prices enormously it seems. Get back to us with a solution.

They refuse to answer the phone. I've literally sat on the phone for hours waiting fir a rep.
They force brownouts on my home if there is an outage anywhere iny area witgout my concent.
They poison my environment with toxic "smart meters" and qon't answer the phone so I can opt out.
To opt out they want gundreds of dollars, just to get the same service we have always had and agreed to.
Our bill has douvled in the last 2 years.
They have a $375. Deposit of my already and because my bill has been late the are charging me another $260 deposit
This company is getting more and more crazy. They still have my deposit and now I have to pay a second deposit because my bills have been late but always paid when I said they would be paid . And customer service is no help they are very nasty. I am the facility manager for DoD Roger Carrera. I am hoping that you can address this situation we are having with your company.
I was made aware that your employee was dispatched to a call of a high voltage wire that was about to detach from one of our buildings. Most of our buildings are critical to the national security of the US and a loss of power would affect us very much from performing our job. This is a second time in the past few months that you're company FPL has refused to provide us service. I now have no choice but to take this matter further up the line. I hope you understand that DoD is not trying to make your job difficult this process is used for everyone that is required to get on our property. I will look into seeing if we can get a list together with your companies personnel that can fill a I - 9 and give a copy of there driver's license so we can give them access on a regular basis. If this works for you we can go that route. I hope that we can get this situation resolved .
