I feel First American Home Warranty BBB’s is way over rated. After reading HVAC prior complaints. My experience was terrible, their sincere support and kind words were just hot air. I purchased the essential plan and felt this company would be reliable and take care of my repair needs. I sadly regret that decision. My first and only service request was for HVAC. They say if it can not be fixed we will replace it. And they are the only company that will do that. My question is:After how many sercice visits and/or time to decide.
I don’t think there is a limit, so the customer you will get tired of the delays and get a AC company on your own and get it repaired. And that was what I had to do.
I am an 81 year old Vietnam veteran with heart problems, pulmonary issues along with other medical problems. I emphasized this issue and needed this to be a priority on each call. And they assured me that would be noted on service order. The weather here in Atlanta was record highs/humidity during this period..

Sept 19 2026 I called FAHW to inform them I could not wait any longer. So I contracted a local HVAC company to install a new unit on 25 Sept 2026. And I would request FAHW to reimburse me the full cost of the comparable unit. ($10,450.00)
