My 2001 Subaru was not starting. There was corrosion on the positive battery post. I cleaned it quickly and it started. I immediately brought it in. They called within 2 hrs to say I needed a new battery. They installed it and the labor charge was only $20. I drove the car 2 days and the car was having trouble starting on the 3rd day, By day's end it was totally DEAD. A friend checked the connection only to find it was very loose AND THE CORROSION WAS INSIDE THE CLAMP AND THE NUT COULD NOT BE TIGHTENED. He cleaned it ,but a new clamp was needed. I called the store manager at the FH CT store and all he said was he would tell the technician, He didn't offer to fix it and just said sorry. His customer service skills suck. My friend ordered the part and fixed it for me. Maybe I didn't even need to replace my 4 yr old battery.
Recommendation: Try and find a more reliable and knowledgeable service center.
