A family member of the manager came into the store in Heidelberg, Ms and started cursing, threatening, and harassing an associate working in the store. The customer (family member of the manager) asked the associate to help him find a product, which the associate did. The customer was not satisfied after the associate took him to the product. For no apparent reason, the customer started cursing the associate and calling him names. He then started threatening the associate, stating he was going to knock him out, and tried to hit the associate. He told the associate the manager was his first cousin and that he was going to call her and take care of him. The manager was not present at this time. I have noticed these events are happening in this store quite often. For apparent reason, the manager family members think they can come to the store and do whatever they want to.
On 06/19/2021 another customer came into the store without a mask on, he was told he would need a mask to enter the store. The customer was a teenager/child. He went back to get a mask, but when he came back, his mother came with him. The mother was upset, cursing and threatening to call the police. The problem with this situation is, the associates are told to ask the customers if they have been vaccinated or show their vaccination card before entering the store if they do not have a mask on. The manager was not present during this event either, because she came to work 45 minutes late. The police eventually came, which lead to the manager blaming the associate.
I'm not sure if the mask mandate is protocol for your stores, but a customer should never be asked to show their vaccination card or asked if they have been vaccinated. I do think this is Legal.
This store is not coordinated or managed well. The manager is never there if she is needed. Seems like her family members are running the store. Your manager needs more training on how a store should be operated and how to treat her staff and customers.
Also the store is not organized well, the shelves are usually empty. I guess this is due to a lack of employees, the manager keeps running off. As a customer, I'm not satisfied with this store at all. I will not be shopping there anymore if this is not fixed.
