The store #06502 in Detroit. It was my 1st time visiting and I live right down the street. I never went because I just knew that it would be TERRIBLE on the inside and out. To my surprise it wasn't so bad inside- it could be a lot cleaner. But, the parking lot was absolutely terrible. Yes the store is in the "urban" part of the city but it doesn't have to reflect it. In fact, it's located where one side of the street (directly behind the store) is an older part of the City where it's still nice, and the other side isn't so pleasing. The parking lot is so terrible, it almost makes you not want to come in. Please pave it.
This is welcomed in the neighborhood a well needed type of store.
no customer service/stole my money
On 1/13/18, I purchased a Nintendo gift card for my godson with my debit card, and on 1/28/18, he tried to login to his account and use the gift card. The site said it wasn't activated. On 1/29/18, I returned to store for assistance and the cashier Corey said that only the manager could help because he could not help me and wasn't trained yet in how to resolve these situations. I gave him my info and he said he would have the manager call me the next day. No calls. Early in February, I go into store and the shift manager is there named Alicia, she gives me the same story, and I receive no help. I've been to the store like 20 times, no manager until 3/6/18 when Toni finally is there. I tell him I only want the card activated because it was their fault that someone did not activate the card properly and I used my debit card so it should be easy to pull up the receipt. And I have the information from the gift card, he does nothing to help and gets an attitude when I remind him that I have spent two months waiting for assistance. So I call the [protected], to file the complaint and I am on hold for 1.5 hours and never got to speak with anyone this is ridiculous and needs to be resolved because this is poor customer service on every level.

I have been trying to reach someone for weeks no response i reach out to the district manager Melissa Hawkins no response i went into family dollars store number 5501 about three weeks ago i seen in the cooler that said all cooler items are 50 percents off so i proceeds to the counter and i asked the cashier is all the cooler items 50 perccent off she said no only the items with the red stickers that says 50 percent off i told her they should have had a sign that said all red dot. Stickers in the cooler are 50 % off. The blonde cashiers with the bob haircut said you people all ways want something for noting i told her and the witness said who are you people i want it for the the price says noting more noting less and the manger Deborah did not say anything she just looked as us i am very upset about this matter and something needs to be done i am a long time residents of the Cherryville area and we pay the bills in this place my name is Dr Rachad Williams and i am looking into this matter further phone number [protected] thank you

I went into family dollar store #09420 last night and used a newport coupon for cigarettes then i go in the same store this morning and the girl said they dont take those coupons. Im a loyal customer but this have taken the cake with me. I've always used my newport coupons there but after today i dont think ill be shopping there because thats not how you do business. Im mad as hell

I am complaining against the family dollar store located at 745 n valley Dr in las Cruces NM. I bought two cokes and there were heavy. So I asked for a extra bag. The girl working on the registered refuse to give a extra bag.and she said no on a very mean way.so I felt very bad about the way I got treated on that store. I asked for a apology.thats unacceptable.

I went into the family dollar on Hickman in Des Moines Iowa. Around 10am. On 3/3/18. The girl working there was unfriendly and acted like she didn't want to be there. The trash outside the main doors was overflowing. And smelled. The store is a disaster. There is a bird in the store. And some liquid leaked on the floor and left a trail throughout the store. I have stellar customer service skills and love interacting with customers but everytime I apply I never hear anything back. At least hire people who enjoy working there or want to be there. I would like to work at family dollar and enjoy shopping there as the prices are good and I have found some good stuff but it is a turnoff to customers like me when I dont feel welcome. I shop at this location because it's convenient for me and close but some changes need to be made to this location. This seems to be a recurring thing with this location. Thank you.

My young child had to use the bathroom bad and it was very nasty we told the girls there that she needed to go to the bathroom bad and there was not any toilet paper and they didn't care even told them that she needed to go it took me having to tell them that if you don't get her some toilet paper that i would be calling the hottline the girl was very rude after that while we were shopping for what we needed it was if they were watching and talking and cursing about me i wouldn't have gotten mad if they wouldn't have treated my kids so badly and the store is very poorly kept

3/1/18 is family dollar too cheap to buy bags for the customers to put there items in i went to the family dollar on main street hamilton ohio 45013 i go there a lot first time i ever had to complain about anything about this store but this goes too far i had no choice but to give me a garbage bag to put my items in they say company won"t send them any i mean come'on should"t have to use a garbage cost more money to use that than the normal bags every store i been too never had this issue and now this happen

On Feb. 26th at 1746 pm(Monday) I went to FD Store #11166 Pemberton, NJ 08068. I visit this store several time a week and converse with the Manager. When I got home I immediately saw that I didn't have my 2.00 juice that I purchase. I checked my receipt and I immediately called the store to tell them. The cashier say it is here behind the counter. I left my full name and told her I will be back tomorrow to pick it up. I when back on Wednesday, they ask for a receipt. I looked for my receipt and couldn't find it. (being very nervous I over looked it)The manage wouldn't let me have the juice even throw I call and said I forgot my juice. The manager proceeded to look on a camera as proof that I was in the Store that took forever so I went home pissed. I can see if I purchase a Iron, But a 2.00 juice that I called. I couldn't find my receipt so the manage could at least ask for an ID showing my name that matched the name taped on the juice. I will be returning today to get my juice with my receipt !. Wasted time and gas!

I am writing to complain about the Manager Tina, That Manages your Caliente Nevada Location, I have been Trespassed off of the property, because I am married to someone that was Trespassed for Shoplifting, I was not with my wife when the alleged incident happened, nor have I ever Shoplifted in my life, we live in a small community and it is simply not right that just because my wife was trespassed that I should no longer be allowed in the store, I am only requesting that I be allowed to shop at Family Dollar I tried speaking to Tina and she wouldn't speak to me. I have been trespassed off the property since August 2017

Last night I was shopping at the Family Dollar at 174 Southfield Rd. Score Michigan. Store #08692. When I walked in I was overwhelmed with a pungent odor. It smelled like a mixture of garbage and urine. I was looking at some cloth baskets. They were all chewed up on the shelves. I grabbed 1 to look at and several mice jumped out at me. I screamed because I was not expecting this. I couldn't make the purchases I needed. The bags of dog food were chewed open and moving. I've never been more disgusted in my life. I have very bad health and this scare didn't help. I will not be going back to that store. I liked it at 1 time because it was close to where I'm staying. I do like Family Dollar., but this was an awful experience.

02-23-2018 @ 15:01:12 I made a huge purchase at the Family Dollar #07012. Realized I purchased 2 of same items after I got home and also realized an item didn't get clipped with my smart coupon once home. So this morning, 02-24-2018 @ 11:30 am with my granddaughters I took the oxi clean to return for $3.95 and I had bottle of Gain liquid softener for $4.75 that I wanted to use my Smart coupon that got missed. The manager wouldn't return my items. Was giving me a really hard time in front of my girls . Kept telling me I used smart coupon to get deal n it wouldn't give it back to me but she would not even ring it up on register to show me. Then was telling me that Family Dollar isn't suppose to even take back stuff like that .. And she was pointing to my laundry soap & softener saying it was name brand items. The line was full behind me &I was getting very frustrated for wanting to get back $3.95 and $2.00 smart coupon..after spending $71

I came to store at 11:30 am today to do and exchange for a blow-dryer I bought a week ago. The blow-dryer was in original packaging and I had original receipt. The manager insist that only could exchange for same product. I called customer service and after spending 1:45 mins on hold a very kind gentleman came on line and asked to speak to manager after maybe a 5 min conversation the customer service representative told me that he could do a store credit for me, gave me an incident number wich is# 6268400 and hung up. I went to register to do the transaction and manager tells me she is waiting on her regional manager to authorize transaction. Needless to say, i've been in store for over 3 hours and now i'm on hold with customer service again for another 2 hour hold. Do not visit this store in winter park the employees are horrible the customer service in unacceptable.

There is a new manger that has been there for a few months now. I just witnessed her talking down to an employee by the name of Rafael Diego. This young man was the only person I saw Working during the whole Thanksgiving holiday when everyone else was gone I asked this lady her name and she wouldn't give it to me I did however get her to give me the district managers name Rebecca. This Rebecca was not around to help during Thanksgiving. I just Wanted to make you aware that they tend to make clicks and fire the hard working people. I will be writing to the local newspaper as well. Something needs to be done about these people.

Would not honor sale posted. Said he has no control to override prices! Store #11865. Savannah, GA. Mgr Mr. Almond. Fix this please. It rang up buy one get one free, but in store sign said brown or black tags 30% off. The signs were put up on Feb 8th, 2018 and I was in the store Feb 20th, 2018. Mr Almond said it was all controlled by corporate. What a joke.
interiors design washcloths & bath towels. poor management
Could someone please give me a call regarding clarification of Interiors Design bath and hand towels. The ad that is running from Feb. 19th thru Feb. 25th. was not honored at (3) different FD stores that I visited. Management was very Rude when I and staff tried to get a better understanding. This was at the 1st store. I had already sent 50.00 there. The next 2 stores had the same problem. They could not or would not change or override, said that this would flag the system. I was greatly disappointed! I'm in your store at least 3 times a month. Please, please, please how can this be rectified. poor customer service and organization
I was in the Parma, Idaho location on Monday February 19th around 3:15 with my two small children. I live in Parma and frequent this store at least once a week. as soon as I walked in the door there was a customer that I know waiting at the register, she said she had been standing, waiting for a while and if I saw the cashier to tell her there was a customer waiting. I walked down the main first aisle and seen the manager om the far wall by the toilet paper and said "Excuse me ma'am, there is a customer waiting" Im not sure her response but didn't look like she rushed to help the customer. I then try to maneuver my way through the store but there are stacks of things in most aisles that my cart wont fit through, all the while trying to keep my son close to me because things are perched like they may fall at anytime. (I know the truck was there because I couldn't pull into the parking lot from the side, which was no big deal) the door to the warehouse part is propped open and loud music was blaring. I finish my shopping and go to the register. There are two men waiting in line. They say they have been waiting a while. I stood in line behind them for probably 5 minutes thinking someone will at least check since that should be their job. the man in front of me was old so i take my kids back through the store trying to find the lady i saw earlier. I cant find her so I went to the door that was open. I ask the girl (Kayla) back there if we can get some help since there was a line and had been waiting, she said ' the lady on the other side of the store will help you." I said " i've got a cart full and two little kids, can you either get her or come help us please"(i did not want to have to drag the kids back through the maze) she said "nope" and turned away super rudely I went back up to the front and told the men there waiting that she was way rude and would not help I left my cart where it was and left the store. I can not believe the poor customer service from them ... i have been in there before and waited awhile too, and also been treated poorly. It seems the employees do not care about the customers or the store. It is usually dirty and the workers do not seem to be doing anything. I totally understand being busy or whatnot but this was ridiculous. We are a small town, if customers are treated like crap they will not come to your business. this was the last straw for me, my kids and i will not be returning.

I took my mother in law to family dollar store #00511 today 02/19/18. We walked in and the music was blasting lyrics that had expletive language. There was only one line open and it was down the isle.There were a few workers there but no one open another line to get the customers out of there. The cashier was dressed in her uniform but had on a hat, not sure of the policy with that but I have never seen that in any other family dollar that I have visisted. The overall store appearance was clutter. I should not have to take my mother in law to another store in another area to be serviced with some respect. I usually don't make any complaints but this store was so out of order that I had to take the time to report it.

store is dirty inside & out clutter with merchandise in isles
I'm a new employee started 2/7/18 and I'm not one to complain but the 1st day at work I was on the register on my own and by myself. The manager was out on the floor. No training at all and was told I was a manager at one time (9 years ago) it should be easy. Very frustrating and nervous. We didn't have bags and I was using trash liners for the groceries. When I got to work that day the trash can outside was overflowing and was like that til today, that was over a week ago. Two days later we got robbed. We count our money out in front of everyone in the store, which I don't think that's safe to do, but ok. Now that we got robbed we are told to lock the doors at 9pm and let customers in and out and with one cashier having to do that is hard. Merchandise all out on the floor on carts and buggies. At closing time the assistant manager or manager makes the deposit to take to the bank, which to me is also unsafe. I've sent pictures to show you what I'm talking about. I'm still not sure if I want to quit or not. Thank you.
