Family Dollar complaint against, employee bree.

To whom this may concern:

My name is Erica. At approximately 4:15pm, 12/08/19, I made a purchase at this Family Dollar. I shop at this location frequently, but today is the first time I've had this experience. The young lady that checked me out (not Bree) had conversation for everyone in line. When I made it to her she said nothing to me. I had an item that wouldn't scan and she said "Is there another one over there this won't scan". I left the line to get an alike item and she scanned it and gave me my total. I paid and went outside. I stopped and turned around because I was offended and decided I didn't want to spend my money there if I was going to be treated like I was invisible. I entered the store and politely asked what is your return policy? This is when Bree jumped in. She said what do you mean what is wrong? I said I'll just put it in a nice way and say nothing I'd just like my money back. She smirked and came to assist. I decided to go ahead and let her know in hopes of them correcting this small yet important matter. I told her that I've been coming here for a while and this is the first that I've been treated this way and it really offended me. I was not greeted when I entered, but as customers behind me entered they were. The cashier had greetings for everyone except me when I checked out. When I told Bree this she apologized, however, she told the cashier, in front of me, "don't worry about it you did nothing wrong." I told her that was unprofessional and she could of reassured her coworker of that after I exited the store. She said with great attitude "I just wanted to let her know she did nothing wrong." I said I understand that but that shouldn't be done in front of the customer that is complaining. She insisted on being there for her coworker. I was not rude to either of them and was very calm with my complaint to Bree. She was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, sarcastic and completely rude. I asked for her managers information and she said "sure would you like me to spell it or write it down? You can also call the 800 number to complain as well!" She said all of this in a very sarcastic disrespectful non chalant way. I still didn't get the information I requested by the way. She literally said it as if she is not worried about my complaint because she will not suffer any consequences. She continued to say smart remarks as I was walking out the door and I said there is no need for that as I stopped to the door way. She stated she was going to call the police on me for harrassment! I asked how was that? I'm leaving the store because I am no longer doing business here and you're the one talking and being unprofessional. Something has to be done. I'm never one to be after someone's livelyhood, however, she is not concerned. I request that she is reprimanded to the fullest extent so no one else will experience her again. I shop at Family Dollar a minimum of five times per week. With Bree working for Family Dollar, today is my last day. This is unfortunate as I plan to share this experience with my family, friends, coworkers, etc. This is not acceptable and something has to be done. I would like to speak with someone also. Family Dollar the manger did not how to put in a 5 dollar off twenty dollar coupon she just kept asking me to buy more stuff until it equaled 28 dollars.

I am frustrated because the manager kept asking me to add to my order although it was already 26.93. She kept adding stuff! I explained I need to spend 25 to get 5 dollars off so my order should be 21.93. She just kept saying it's not working unless I add more I don't know why and I font k ow what to tell you! It is frustrating to me. I had to add more items to my order to get 5 dollars off! This makes no sense I spent 25 plus tax and had to add more to get 5 dollars off!

Family Dollar Sales prices up the day before sale

I was in Family Dollar, store 08012 on 12/7/19 at around 6pm. I was scanning the ups code on the Family Dollar app for coupons on things that were marked on sale, but it kept saying no sale found. This happened on 3 items, and two of those items were also on sale. I asked an associate why they wouldn't work, and she said they are told to put up the sale price tags the night before. That is wrong. They should not put sale prices up, including coupon savings until it is valid. If they put them up in advance, they should honor the sale/coupon price. The items were Tide Laundry detergent (69 fluid ounces), All Free and Clear, and Pedigree Small Dog 11 pound bag. There shouldve been an additional savings between sale prices and coupons of about $6.00. Something should be done. I understand they want to go home as soon as the store closes, and I understand that the company wants to save on labor costs, but the sale prices should not be up unless they are valid. It seems like false advertising. I would like to be reimbursed the the $6.00. Thank you for your time.

Family Dollar customer service

Restrooms closed to customers! Also make customers embarrassed to ask to use restrooms when it is an emergency. I do not believe I will shop family dollar anymore. Very rude and disrespectful to customers especially those with medical issues. I stopped going there for a while because of the poor customer service nasty attitudes and embarrassing customers when they need to use the bathroom. I came back in today and was checking out when another elderly lady needed to use the bathroom. She was rudely acknowledged. This just confirmed for me why I had stopped going there to begin with.

I cannot reach a person to talk with!
I had applied at Family Dollar about a month ago.
Im being told my app ws redflagged probably due to something in my past!
I ont evan have a speeding ticket!
I never had an interview but know the manager asked about me to employees!
I would like to know why Im red flagged plzz!

Family Dollar customer service

I went to the family dollar last night around 4-5pm and noticed that the cashier, unknown name, had her child in the store with her behind the counter. To my unstanding, any employer that has employees is not aloud to have their children in the store while they are working. Shouldn't employees have proper child care for their children while at work? Not only that, she was eating something while checking out customers. I'm sorry, but i wouldn't want to see you chewing and seeing your food being chomped in front of me. That's not customer service if your feeding yourself while checking out customers. That's what breaks and lunch breaks are for. Maybe they need to retrain the employer and provide her with proper customer service skills and to say hi and thank you for shopping at family dollar. Because I was greeted at all, and that's rude..

Family Dollar employee complaint

I was ringing my items up and needed a item to be removed off to make sure purchase went threw. Two employee male/female were Very Rude, Called me the N word said I should have added the price before hand because they didnt have time. They threated my life if didnt said they would "knock my head off". Tried to talk to the manager at the store.. I was told she outside on break.. I want to tell the truth before it gets out in public. The truth is I was sexually harassing keisha who is also black like me. She had a boyfriend and I pinched her on her bumn. She then yelled and the male white threatene me. He said that he would take my head off and the manager banned me from the store because I touched her breast and pinched her behind. She does not want to go out with her own kid she loves white men she is racist against me.

Family Dollar store policy

First off this store is the trashiest store I think I've been in. There are always piles of boxes and inventory blocking the aisles and everything is always a mess. What I have a problem with is that they have a hand written note on the door that says no bags and no hoodies in the store due to high theft. I do not have a car and have to walk my groceries home so of course I have to carry my things with me in a bag. They tell you you have to leave your bag at the front but I am disabled and I have to carry my meds that are a controlled substance with me at all times and it can't be out of my sight per the law. They also tell you that while you are required to leave your bag at the front they are also not responsible for your bag while it is at the front. So you want me to leave all of my belongings and my medication behind the counter and then you are not responsible if something happens to it. I'm not sure how this practice is legal and do you realize there is a disabilities act. Also do you realize this is profiling and that you are discriminating against the very people who have to shop at your store? Locals. I worked in the private security industry for 20 years and I can tell you why there is high theft in this store and it's not about location because a Dollar General is two blocks away and don't require this and they don't have high theft. Your store is a mess, stuff piled everywhere, blind spots and employees who don't care and quite frankly just stand around. Fix your store and stop treating everyone like a criminal. Also I wasn't even allowed to use a see thru shopping bag and was told to use a shopping cart. Well that would be nice if you could even get a shopping cart around in the store. Is it any wonder that this store as a company has such a bad reputation and bad reviews. You want to stop theft, fix your store or you won't have to worry about theft because your customers will just go elsewhere, which is what I'm going to do. And you might want to rethink your policy before you have a lawsuit on your hands.

Family Dollar wrongful termination

I had been with the company for 5 months at the time of my WRONGFUL TERMINATION. During the termination interview they tried to ask me question in a position where I would voluntarily tell them things that I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF that may have been happening while on the clock. Their 1st story was I KNOWINGLY RUNG UP MY COWORKERS BUT DIDN'T SCAN ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS. THEN IT SWITCHED TO - I ALLOWED MY COWORKER TO DO THE SAME WITH A NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS. They even told me that they viewed the footage of the accusations before this termination process. Mind you they had fired my coworker 5 mins before me. Once I reassured Management that nothing criminal was happening, it seemed like they went back to the drawing board after NO SUCCESSFUL CONFESSION because after speaking with LOSS PREVENTION the District Manager and the Manager went into the office for 30 mins viewing videos of my store until they found something to fire me for. AND THEY FIRED ME FOR NOT LOOKING IN MY COWORKERS BAGS BEFORE CLOSING THE STORE AT NIGHT. These were bags that she rang up on my Manager's shift. WHEN ASKED TO SEE THE FOOTAGE THEY DENIED ME. WHEN I ASKED THEM TO SEE THE FOOTAGE OF THE ACCUSATIONS THEY WEREN'T PRODUCED EITHER. LONG STORY SHORT. These folks had inventory the week before and was $13, 000 more shorter than last year for shrink. The District Manager was probably threatened and had to make it look like she was doing something to fix the shrinkage. I was told I was fired for FAILURE TO PROTECT STORE PRODUCTS. This was a store in an extremely high theft, homeless area. I WAS THE ONLY ONE ON MY TEAM TO CATCH THEFT AT MY MAGNITUDE FOR THIS LOCATION! Even once when the DM was there. THIS COMPANY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES. HELL; I'm pretty sure I won't get any feedback from this either but if it helps someone to STAY AWAY FROM THEM THEN I FEEL I HAVE DONE MY JOB! THEY ARE LIARS AND ASSASSINS OF CHARACTERS! They banned me from the store and deemed me non-rehireable for something i could have gotten a FINAL WRITTEN WARNING FOR! I mean after all; I HAD NO DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS! NOT 1!

Family Dollar blocked aisles

Almost every aisle was blocked with cartons of mdse., carts with mdse, and empty boxes. Impossible to get thru the aisles or find product on the shelf. The whole place was a mess. Employees were unconcerned with moving items or themselves to help a customer access product. It is unfortunate that they are not willing to take a bit of effort and pride in the stores appearance. They would increase sales dramatically.

Family Dollar I am a customer

I was at the store i slipped and fell a lady went helped me get up and she went to the front to tell the cashe and the man at the regester i heard him laugh and yell at another employee that someone fell and couldnt get up they were both very rude didnt get any help getting up or anything my left arm got scrapped and shoulder hurts and got no help so i will probly be getting an attorney to help with his opinion and his service thank you

Family Dollar false advertising

In your current ad you have used Video games on sale for $5. I went to two of your sales and the prices were being sold higher. When I spoke with the managers on duty they just said that's the price. No where in the ad does it specify what video games. I am very disappointed and frustrated that your stores are not willing to homer their sale on used Video games.

Family Dollar management

Went into the location and the store was playing rap music with explicit lyrics, when I asked the manager about my dislike for the music he stated, yes boss like I was ordering him like a boss, he was very unprofessional as a manager concerning this issue.

He did not change the music he just ignored my request to play better music for this corp to not treat it like a hood store.

Family Dollar manager refused to sell product at the advertised price.

Saturday evening, November 30, 2019 I was checking out in a Kansas City, Mo Family Dollar. The (alleged) manager on duty refused to sell me a dozen eggs at the priced displayed which was $1.25. It was clearly posted on the glass and the fine print says November 2019. Even after taking her over to the area, she still refused. Said she changed the price to $1.50 even though it says $1.25. All she kept saying is it is $1.50 do you want it or not? She was unprofessional, not nice, at all and has the worse managerial skills I have ever met. Because of her unprofessionalism, I decided to let someone else check me out. There were several other shoppers in the store at that time, so it was very embarrassing for her to continue to rant and rave about not selling me the eggs unless I was willing to pay $1.50. This is not about a difference of .25. It is her bad attitude and her refusal to honor the advertised price. I did not purchase the eggs. I am attaching some pictures, the advertised sign and that is the manager in black in one of the pictures. As a result of all my troubles, I am requesting a voucher for 5 dozen free eggs and I also would like someone to speak with her concerning managerial skills, etc. The store number is 02051 6827 Longview Road Kansas City MO 816-761-1452. Family Dollar employee/manager

The store manager at this store came running out the store after I had left out the door immediately with out purchasing any product, because I suffer from stomach issues, and mental illness so I left to go home, the store manager came outside and yelled profane things at me from across the parking lot I was walking in to go home accusing me of stealing, when I did not steal any thing they say they had witnesses stating I stole things, which again I did not steal anything, she said "you better bring MY [censored] back before I call the police." I walked towards her and I emptied my bags and my pockets and showed her I did not steal anything, after that was addressed she told me I was banned from the store not to come back. I believe she profiled me because of my looks, and my disability, I would like her to be fired for it caused me emotional damage and my depression to act up

Family Dollar poor service

I went to buy the same combination of tide simply detergent and arm and hammer that I always buy. Today I went to the store and saw that the tide simply was on sale again so I tried to purchase and it rung up for $3.50 so I asked the cashier to check with me because I just saw it. Some guy named Rashad walked up to me and said no it's not and when I asked him to come check with me he said "I ain't got time for all that" how rude of a store employee. And then told me "and my name rashad if you needed to know". Like who hired this man to work with customers. Very young and very ignorant. I will not support family dollar anymore I don't care how close it is I'll take the extra drive to a competitor before I allow someone to treat me this way.

Family Dollar long wait in line

There was a really long line & one cashier. The customer being rang up kept having to have items removed from her total. This wasn't the problem. The manager started ringing the people up from THE BACK of the line without regard to the people who had been waiting throughout the whole interaction with the lady who didn't have enough money to pay for her things.

Family Dollar false advertising

Went to purchase laundry basket that was $8 on the sign also 2 set of aluminum pans with lids for $1 that rang up $3 I told the cashier then she told Kristina. (Manager) she then told me with a nasty attitude and told me no you are not getting them for that price. Energy though the product was in front of the sign. She then Went to look her self and screamed from the back of the store uh no there not $1 you can come look your self. I went back there and she was in the middle of moving everything to the right sign. As I was going back up to pay for my items the lady took the next costumer when all my items were ringed up. I told them I will be contacting you guys because of there nasty attitude and not sticking to the prices as posted.

Family Dollar employee

I entered the store with the intention on searching for Christmas lights. I walked up to the 1st Family Dollar employee I seen and from her poorly written name tag I made out the name Joanne. I said hello how are you today and her reply was "disgusted that I'm talking to you." That was super rude and unprofessional. And for that i don't even wish to return to family dollar.
