My family and I took a 5 hour flight to Puerto Rico. We stood in line for an hour for a car that was reserved through Expedia over a month before the trip. Once at the counter with confirmation information Enterprise said our reservation was not in their computer. We immediately called Expedia and they said there was nothing they could do even with the confirmation that was found in Expedia computer. Enterprise at the airport claimed they only rent via reservations. We were stuck with no transportation. Had to pay $60 to get kids settled in condo then pay another $60 to locate a car rental. Called Expedia again and no help I was told I am sorry just go online and rebook it and to cancel the original reservation or we would be charged for a car we never got.

I am writing this because I just had a very unpleasant experience with Expedia customer support. I booked a flight and then realized there was an error and cancelled within 20 minutes of booking. I got the confirmation email that it was cancelled and rebooked a new flight. A few days later I notices a charge for the flight I cancelled itinerary xxx. I called Expedia and spent an hour and a half being told I did not cancel the flight within 24 hours. Mind you I have the cancellation email with the time stamp. They never asked me for the email and finally said I would get a refund in roughly 8 weeks. Never taking responsibility for their systems error. I told them that was not acceptable for their mistake and was sent to a supervisor. The supervisor just reiterated what the customer support rep stated and would not do anything further. I finally said I would dispute the transaction with my credit card company and the supervisor said "that sound good.If you need us to send any documents let us know. "That is a joke of a response. Your company charged me in error and you would not do anything to resolve it even when I have the documents to prove it. 8 weeks to process a refund if that even gets done is way to long. The supervisor should have had me email my cancellation document and process the refund immediately. I have no hope Expedia will do anything even though they should process the refund immediately but want others to know what kind of company this is. Please note I just spent almost 2 hours on Facebook pm with jb and that was a big waste of time. He said the exact same as the other reps about 8 weeks for a refund even though Expedia processed a ticket I cancelled within there 24 hour policy. I even gave him the document proving the airline ticket reservation was cancelled with time stamp but he would do nothing but blame the airline. I would recommend using any other service not attached to Expedia. Hope this helps others

I bought 3 waivers for 3 travelers. This is a worthless program and a scam. I tried to make a change to a hotel stay by deleting a day and your people want to charge me more. What kind of waiver protection is that? The terms are not favorable. Only one change per trip. Only covers change fees. Your people were unable to make the change on the phone with the hotel and get me a refund, but when I called myself, the hotel had no problem with trying to re-book the room and provide me with a refund for my last day.

I would like a refund for the 3 trip waiver protection plans I purchased because they are worthless!

My husband booked my daughter on a flight from Indianapolis (IND) to Washington (DCS) on 27 April 2018 for my military retirement. My daughter, Jessica Weatherman, is in the Tennessee National Guard and got called up for a short notice deployment. She left 16 April 2018, and right now, won't be back until 5 May 2018. She will be out of country on 27 April 2018. I called Expedia to cancel. They said they would give me a credit for the flight which was $120.30. I got the e-mail and will be charged a $200.00 rebooking fee. So, that would make me have to pay an extra $80 to rebook despite the fact that my daughter was was called up for military service. I have never had that happen when booking directly with an airline, which is what I will do in the future. The prices were actually the same, my husband just booked through Expedia. I feel so duped by this company. I went on line to make a reservation at a hotel in Washington DC under a convention. When I called I asked several times if I was speaking directly to the hotel ( she seemed really eager, should of trusted my gut) she answered yes she is directly from the hotel. I made the reso for the convention to which she replied do it now ask there are only two rooms left. I did to the tune of 1, 400 dollars right out of my checking. My daughter said it didn't sound right as she is going to the same convention. She gave me a different number I called and was informed it was Expedia who made the reso and I'd have to cancel in order to book a room with the convention. What horrible business practice this is. She lied to me strait up and told me she was with the hotel and this was the correct place to make the reso. Now I have to wait 14 business days to get my money back that this dishonest person withdrew on a lie? I am so mad I'm seeing red. How dare you! I've booked so with cheapo and trivago while I've been traveling. I've never experienced an out right lie to get me to book through them. I'll be calling the BBB after this rant. what shameful practices. practices

I recently booked a hotel through yourselves The Guildford Harbor Hotel ref [protected]. During my visit which was Saturday 7th April I did not receive the service I expected from a 4 star establishment. I have been on communication with hotel guest relations manager explaining my complaints. Our refusal entry to the hotel pool. The fact that the room equipment was not working i had to wait over 30 minutes for replacement and that took 2 phone calls down to reception. The next morning on check out I got a shrug of the shoulders from reception when I explained. Now the manager is aware that our visit was a special occasion and that a revisit is not viable for us I asked for a refund hes said we had to go through yourselves but he will sanction it his end. I have the emails to verify this which I will attach

Complaints: room was tawdry, toilet paper stuffed in hole behind toilet, soap dispensers in shower were empty, one lamp didn't work, another had a burned-out bulb. One electrical outlet didn't work at all and was replaced while we were there (which was OK but should have been checked.) We were not comfortable there.
When I asked to check out a day early, they said they couldn't do anything for us because we had booked through Expedia. When I handed in my keys they offered to upgrade us to a suite but by that time I was too annoyed to want to stay. Breakfast was fantastic though.

Reference to the below, still now I haven't received my refund. It is almost a month now.

I called customer care about my upcoming flight on 04/21 and I was driving that time. I told him that I got an email about changes to my flight. The representative was saying something and asked me to hold while he is reviewing my booking and re-issue my flight ticket. He sent me an email confirmation but that has increased my flight duration 4 hours more and he argued with me I accepted for that over the phone. I couldn't even hear him saying that. Now he says can't re-issue or change my flight avoiding that 4 hours wait time. This is insane and trying sell bad services.

I booked a ticket and after confirming it the charged my card a different price ..Then I called in the guy was yelling and telling I was wrong then asked for a manger my wait time was 45 min he didn't even try to help me he also asked me a lot of info and was agruing backward with me because I ask to speak to a supervisor and told me to hold on another 30min after I asked him could he give me a voucher for my in convenience just very rude and not helpful and very horrible customer service

We wanted to cancel 5/25 hotel reservation to change the trip plan, called Expedia on 3/31 to know if we could get a refund (as they suggested rather than contacting the hotel directly, they say. Becky said she would respond in 48 hours after a long hold, but no follow up came. We called again on 4/2, then we got a e-mail on 4/4 saying they still couldn't reach the hotel(!?) Almost 2 months ahead cancellation should be reasonable to negotiate to refund since we had booked all the Peru trip itinerary with Expedia. We were so disappointed with your business!

My wife booked flights from London to Argostolion but when the tickets came, they are for the wrong month. The information she requested on your website was for departure 14 July 2018, return 21 July 2018. When the tickets arrived they are for April instead of July. When returning to the website, the dates are clearly in July. Why were sent tickets for April? These are no good to us. Please correct this error and advise what the correct price should be.

I have been a customer for many years and very disappointed that your company is now being political. Laura Ingraham's comment may have been distasteful but find it hard to believe worth pulling your ads. I have read that you advertise with other liberal opinion shows that I know have said similar and worse things.

I am a Silver Rewards customer who will no longer be using your company. I found out today that Expedia is pulling advertising on Laua Ingram's show so I will be cancelling my account with your company.
I am a believer and supporter of ALL of the Amendments and I feel Ms. Ingram had just as much right to express her feelings publicly as did this Hogg kid. If companies like yours are going to pick and choose who could exercise such rights then I will no longer support them. I will be dealing with Trivago from now on.

I booked two rooms at Microtel Inn at Elkhart, IN in January 2018 for my visit in May. due to personal reasons, I had to cancel my trip. I called Expedia Customer Service to cancel my reservations in the evening of 3/19/18. The agent said the contact person at Microtel had already left. He said the facility would be contacted and I would get an email within 24 hours. Since I did not receive any email from Expedia, I called the customer care again on 3/21/18 in the morning. I was told that it was a non-refundable rate and hence I would be charged for one night and refund for the second night. Since there was no other option, I requested to go ahead with the reservation and was placed on hold. It took about an hour and the line got cut off. I called again; again explained everything from start as if I was making the request for the first time. Again on hold for 63 minutes. Still I am on hold! Oh just now, the supervisor came on line and said they are processing my request. Don't know how long I still have to hold. I never experienced such an inefficient, inconsiderate customer service.

One leg of my flight was canceled due to the winter storm in Boston. Firstly Expedia was unaware that the flight was canceled even though the Expedia app was showing a flight cancelation. Jet Blue was offering free waivers for rebooking flights, and I believe when an airline cancels their flight they rebook customers. I booked my flight through Expedia as a result the airlines asked me to go through Expedia. After calling Expedia multiple times, being put on hold multiple times, Expedia just got my whole itinerary canceled without getting the airline to book me a replacement flight. Then they proceeded to have me rebook a completely new flight without covering the fare difference - which jet blue said they would have covered if Expedia hadn't canceled the flight and had gone through their fee waiver forms instead. I booked almost the same flight at a much higher price, when Expedia could have had Emirates re route me due to a partial flight cancelation. I was given an additional $750 as a ‘favor' and this was repeated to me multiple times. As a customer I should not have been penalized for an airline canceling their flight especially when the airline was waiving the fee for rebook and fare difference. Expedia did not handle this correctly and had me pay for their mistake. I should be refunded for the entire rebooking since I should not be penalized for something that is not my fault.
Also, please have your customer service be less condescending about ‘favors', especially when a customer has been on hold practically all day.

To keep clients you need customer service, not a human machines telling it's policy. Then when asked to explain the policy they are at a loss for words. Expedite will not be successful for long with this kind of service. I've been happy with them when things were smooth. The problem when there is the slightest complication, you are better off banging your head against the wall. I booked 7 tickets to Montague bay for some odd reason they refunded me 6 and gave me credit for 1. Reason for canceling is they're was violence in that area at the time. We were a family traveling with a baby. So we took a $600 fine to refund 6 tickets and got credit for 1. No problem. I tried to work within there guidelines credit had to be for same person same airline same country of origin. When I try to book my flight with the credit for ~$200 I was told I would lose out on the remaining credit ~$700, why the credit doesn't carry over... that's there policy. Its really stealing they took my money sold the seat to someone else and then created unbelievably unrealistic policies to receive the credit. Then to keep they're earnings they pay people pennies most likely from a developing country to deal with angry customers. I regret getting frustrated with the customer service reps, its management that needs to sit next to these phones and deal with customer complaints. Maybe then they will realize how unprofessional and unreasonably the company is. I will never use expedite again and I assume most people who have to call expedites customer service team, will feel the same way. The future of this company is not bright if things do not change.
