Warning – They didn’t return my deposit!
I rented a car from Europcar and paid a deposit upfront. After returning the car in perfect condition, they failed to refund my deposit without giving any clear reason. I contacted customer service several times, but they either ignored my messages or kept saying “please wait,” with no real solution.
It’s clear that this company lacks transparency and professionalism. They didn’t follow the terms stated in the rental agreement, and getting my own money back turned into a stressful and frustrating process. Later I found out that many other people had experienced the same issue.
If you don’t want to deal with dishonesty, delays, and stress, I strongly recommend avoiding Europcar. Their handling of deposit refunds is completely unacceptable.
Hammer your bank or credit card provider for a chargeback — don’t waste time waiting on scripted nonsense. If they can’t justify holding your money, force their hand through your financial institution. Stay sharp — companies like this bank on people giving up.
