Enterprise Rent-A-Car review: Unexplained do not rent (DNR) ban – Atlanta airport | corporate customer service failure
I am filing this formal complaint against Enterprise Rent-A-Car regarding an unexplained Do Not Rent (DNR) designation and an appalling failure of customer service and corporate accountability.
After years of renting with Enterprise without any prior issues, I was unexpectedly informed that I had been placed on the DNR list at the Atlanta Airport location. This occurred on the very day I was traveling to attend a funeral, creating unnecessary stress during an already emotionally difficult time.
I received absolutely no advance notification, written explanation, or opportunity to address whatever circumstances supposedly justified this decision.
When I contacted customer service, I was rushed off the phone without a meaningful explanation. Since then, I have spent OVER THREE WEEKS repeatedly contacting Enterprise, practically every day, requesting clarification and assistance.
THREE WEEKS. COUNTLESS CALLS. NOT ONE RETURNED PHONE CALL.
This is an unacceptable breakdown in customer service and corporate accountability. How can a major corporation restrict a longtime customer's ability to rent vehicles without explaining the decision or providing an accessible appeals process?
I recognize Enterprise has the right to establish rental eligibility policies. However, customers deserve transparency, professionalism, and a reasonable opportunity to challenge potentially inaccurate information.
What concerns me most is the complete absence of accountability. I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly, yet Enterprise has failed to provide even the courtesy of a return phone call.
I am formally requesting that Enterprise corporate leadership immediately investigate the Atlanta Airport location, review the basis for my DNR designation, and explain why my repeated attempts to obtain assistance have been ignored.
If this designation was made in error, I expect it to be corrected promptly.
I am requesting a direct response from a corporate representative with the authority to investigate and resolve this matter, not another generic customer service response.**
The way Enterprise has handled this situation is disgraceful and has severely damaged my trust in a company I supported for years.
I expect this complaint to be taken seriously, escalated appropriately, and addressed in writing. Three weeks of silence is unacceptable.
