Enterprise Rent-A-Car Rental Charged twice.

In may I was hit and my car was totaled. When the insurance of the party who hit me rented the car I was quite happy and had no issues. When it was time to return the vehicle I extended my rental and paid with my car out of pocket up front the same day. After about a week I found a car and purchased it but had to wait an extra 2 days so I called and extend my rental. They then proceeded to charge me again and took one day out of my 50$ deposit and the second day I paid with my card. After the two days I returned the vehicle no problems. Fast forward to this week I get a call from a rep saying they are ready to settle the billing which confused me because i had already paid and settled the bill. they also told me the vehicle checked out fine no issues or damages. The rep then said he would look into it and call me back. Well today I was charged 248.43 I was given no warning or call or try to see the issue which there isn't because I paid in full in advanced. Now I have bills to pay and I can't do anything about it because its the weekend. Not only was I charged when I already paid in full but i was given no warning or tried to fix the issue on they're end. i will never used this company by choice or not. and i kill fight this unprofessional company Monday morning since they don't have the common decency to contact me themselves.

Desired outcome: Give me my money back that was already paid for.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Damage Recovery Unit

I had my car in the shop for an extended period of time. I was driving a 2020 Ford Fusion and everything was fine. The car was parked safely at work when my car was targeted and broken into along with 5 other rental cars in the parking lot. This has been on the rise all across the country. It is easy to spot a rental car in California because of the "Fleet" registration sticker on the rear license plate.

After speaking with an attorney friend of mine and reading into California's Civil Codes, specifically Civil Code 1936 which states the renter is covered for theft (and vandalism damage as result of theft) as long as the renter has exercised ordinary care.

The woman I spoke with was professional, but ultimately not helpful stating that I signed a contract that makes me liable. As far as I know, writing a contract that is in direct conflict with Civil Codes, voids said contract.

I would like to this to made clear to me. I practiced ordinary care, this was completely out of my control, and there is a police report. This also wouldn't have happened if the car was so easily identified as a rental.

Has Enterprise been writing these unlawful contracts and having people pay out of pocket when it wasn't necessary for years?

If I am wrong I will need ample and comprehensive proof. If this goes to collections and effects my credit score, there will be more issues.

Desired outcome: I would like this to be handled professionally. You have already lost me as a customer, and I will be sure to steer people clear of your company.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Discrimination at the Pittsburgh Airport Rental Car

I live in California, and I've never encountered racism until now. On June 9th, I arrived at the Pittsburgh International Airport Enterprise rental car. All of the employees were white and most of them were men. Between the front desk and trying to get the car... it took about 45 minutes. Several white people were helped faster and were given nicer cars than me. They refused to give me the car I reserved, although it was on the lot. The employees were rude, huddled in an area without helping me, and blamed a slow system... Although that did not slow down the white people, they helped. One employee offered a car that was a downgrade from my reservation, but didn't acknowledge it. When I brought it to his attention, they offered a slight lower rate for the downgrade, and then didn't honor that rate. They offered the poorest condition car they could find. If I hadn't spent a long day traveling, I would have said something. Then I searched the web and found similar racist experiences.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response, and the car I reserved. Also treat everyone the same and don't discriminate people of color

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Surprise bill at the end!

If you are like me, with the exception of vacation car rentals you probably rarely rent a car. For me I needed one last month due to a car accident, which was not my fault. As it so often happens with companies like Enterprise Rent A Car everything goes pretty well, the people were nice and I was happy all the way to the end when, SURPRISE they inform me that I owe them almost $200 .

When I first engaged Enterprise Rent A Car I spoke with John and he was helpful and I spoke with Pete also and everyone was happy and my car would be taken care of properly. Until today.

I had conversations with several different people including Pete and John beginning with Thursday and Friday of last week and every day since Monday of this week I always made it clear that I was unemployed and I had no money for car rentals. I made that clear on every phone conversation.

These people could see their car from their store as it was parked at the Motel directly across the highway from them. They let me run up a $200 bill when they knew it would create a significant burden to me. They intentionally let me believe I still had some time left with the car.

They could have been honest with me, instead they ran a kind of game on me. Instead of being straight with me by telling me that my rental was over on 6-3-22 they decided to mislead me with " don't forget you have 5 days before you will have to pay retail. I am not in their business so I don't understand that 5 day's till I have to pay retail means that I am already running up a bill as we were speaking. They didn't actually lie to me , they let me believe I still had some time left on the rental.

They used misdirection instead of telling me straight, late last week that my Insurance co would only cover until 6-3-22 . By telling me that I had 5 more days until I would need to pay retail prices they made it seem like I was ok for 5 more days

There might be some day I have no choice but to use an Enterprise car but until that day I will go down the street as they say. Its your choice I hope you have a better experience than me.

The manager did mention that it was a shame it went bad at the end but he stopped way short of apologizing or even considering to do anything about the messed up ending.

It's been said that if a business does well a customer tells a handful of people. If the customer is dissatisfied the person tells everyone! Look at me I am telling everyone. You had a chance to do the right thing you CHOSE otherwise.

Desired outcome: you choose a) young and incompetent b) they wanted to make more money intentionalThe money I had to give them today was going to be used for the rent.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Double Charged

My fiance rented a car at rental location in Cranston, RI. Insurance paid for the rental a month ago but she was still charged almost $3500. They said they could not refund the money they she had to go to her back. For someone that lives paycheck to paycheck this is a major blow as our accounts went negative and were charged overdraft fees. Not refunding is a way for enterprise to decieve and keep that money. Someone is getting a big commission.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Nissan sentra vin 3n1ab7ap8ky413413

My daughter and I rented a vehicle from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 201 Oakland Park Blvd, Walton Manors, FL on Thursday, May 26th. The two gentlemen we spoke to were very polite and helpful. I did notice a scent of what I believed was similar to citronella but didn’t think much of it. The evening of May 27th, we returned to our hotel from a dinner cruise and noticed something in my cup and realized it was about 10 baby roaches. Further inspection of the vehicle we documented by pictures and video, an infestation of roaches crawling all over the car, inside and out. After remembering that scent I had recognized the day before, it occurred to me that the scent was roach killer. I proceeded to swab and video the insides on the vehicle, carpet and inside door frame which was covered with roach poison. My daughter is almost 6 months pregnant and we both had been breathing in roach poison with the windows up for 2 days. We proceeded to file a police report (report #[protected].. Fort Lauderdale PD). I contacted Enterprise Roadside Assistance immediately around 11:30 pm On My 26th, they had dispatched a tow truck that never showed up. We were exhausted by that point, as we were scheduled to return to Virginia the next morning. Approximately 7 am Saturday morning (27th) we contacted Roadside Assistance again and they set up another tow. The tow service reported via text that they would be arriving in 468 minutes to pick up the vehicle. I then called Enterprise again and after a little research from the employee, she informed me they would not tow the vehicle because it was not a mechanical issue. They instructed me to drive the roach infested/ poisonous vehicle back to the location it was rented in order to exchange the vehicle. I refused to put myself or my pregnant daughter back in that car so we proceeded to cab over to a different Enterprise location because we were informed they had a vehicle ready to exchange. When we got there, there was not a vehicle available and they would not assist us in any way. The employee called one other location which was 20 minutes away that had a vehicle available. He would not do anything else to help. My daughter started to have a panick attack so we went outside and I tried calming her down. A lady in the Little Caesar’s store came out yo check on us because she could see we were distraught. An employee came out of the Enterprise store and just stood there eavesdropping on our phone conversation but offered no help again. I walked back in and she handed me a list of phone numbers to other Enterprise locations, which was of no help, as we were cabbing at this point. We decided to cab back to our hotel and drive the infested rental car back to the location (with my daughter in a separate cab) and when returning the disgusting and unsafe vehicle, the gentleman was very defensive about the situation and said he didn’t appreciate us accusing them of spraying roach poison in the car. I suggested he come out and inspect vehicle and after running his hand across frame of car, it was shiny wet but he claimed he did not notice anything. I am so upset that we could have had an accident in that car had we noticed the roaches while driving the car. My daughter felt nauseous and we both had scratchy throats after riding in an enclosed space for 2 days with roach poison. We also had to leave a lot of belongings in Florida due to roaches being on it. We could not bring any of our stuff into the hotel and some stuff got stolen off sidewalk and/or thrown in dumpster. I would like a phone number to send all of this proof and evidence. I expect to get full ting reimbursed for the vehicle rental and all other expenses we incurred including compensation for our health and mental trauma that we endured. Pamela Mellen, Wendi Frankart.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car dangerous car

I have had a curtesy car from enterprise in Nuneaton while my car is being repaired. The first car i had was a Hyundai I10. Thanks to my neighbour who notice a wheel nut missing and informing me of this, my husband went to check over the car only to find that more locking nuts were loose on the drivers front on the drivers rear wheel there was one nut loose passengers rear wheel had three loose wheel nuts and passengers front had one loose nut. I immediately phoned enterprise where the lady i spoke to asked me to bring the car back to her to look at, my husband informed her that there was no way anyone was going to drive the car anywhere as it was to dangerous and should never gone out to anyone to drive.

The following day a very nice lady brought me a Corsa to replace the Hyundai the poor girl had to drive the car with loose wheel nuts back to the depot. I was told that there was a full tank of petrol that i only needed to return it with the tank half full. i have to be honest i was really insulted by this were they saying that putting my life at risk is worth half a tank of petrol, i know petrol has got more expensive but half a tank of petrol is ridiculous.

when i got into the Corsa to drive the smell of stale cigarettes was outstanding and disgusting. Again i phoned the company again i was offered a replacement car which i refused as i was not sure what i would be getting next at least this car was road worthy though it stank vile.

I would like for this complaint to be taken seriously as this could happen to someone else with a much more fatal outcome. every car should be checked before going to another customer.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Enterprise car rental

I made a reservation for a rental car for 4 days. I made the reservation ahead of time and I also called my local enterprise days before to confirm it. I also told them I would need a them to pick me up on the day which was 05/14/2022 at 9am. I was assured that I would be picked up by one of their employees. The day came and no one was there to pick me up. I called and called and called and no one answered my call. So I called customer service and explained to them they tried to connect me with my local branch and I was hung up on 3 times. I waited and waited. It was now after 11am and still no one here to pick me up I called customer service again and I was then told they would handle it and they were transferring me to my local branch. Again I was on hold over 25 minutes then it disconnected me. I was frustrated. I had to walk there are no ubers or lyfts in my small town. So I get there and the phone is ringing off the hook and they just are not answering the phone calls at all and then I am told they don't have a car for me to rent. After all of that nonsense. I told them I needed a rental car so find me one. They finally found me a car. Now I looked on my bank statement and they over charged my card. I want a REFUND! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND OVER CHARGED. I'm beyond frustration now. Charged me for insurance I said no too since I have full coverage with State Farm. Confirmation number is 6G9VLX

Desired outcome: Refunded!!!!!!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Agreement number: 6G4XBQ, Having to pay for hail damage!

I was given the option to take coverage with enterprise or use my full coverage. upon returning the car there was a storm of hail and they stated that I had to pay my deductible because hail caused a few dents on top of the minivan. I paid it because ticket could not be closed and i needed to save myself a day being added. I had mechanical issues that the manager addressed and was super nice. Even my insurance stated that hail damage is an act of GOD and no fault of mine. I have been a customer of enterprise for years and never had this issue, I feel its unfair.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Very rude customer service experience

May 16th, 2022 @ 13467 72 Ave, Surrey, BC V3W 2N7,

Preset appointment for pick up at the location @ 11.30 AM.

When I arrived at the location, there were No customers or Reps at the front desk and reception.

One lady and three men (Reps) were chatting and laughing at the back office and did not care about the customer, and I felt like they did not want me there.

One guy (Rep) came after 10 minutes and asked me why I was there. I told him I had a pickup at 11.30 am. Then, he offered me a fundamental car that was not clean and presentable. I asked him, any possibilities to upgrade this; he told me I got to pay $200 per day extra to get an SUV upgrade — a very rude and unpleasant place to visit or rent.

Desired outcome: Apologies from the owner and refund for bookings.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Rental & customer service

On 5/16/2022 At 5:15 pm I rented a truck from Rialto/Bloomington, CA. I waited well the truck was washed. When I got in the truck it was not washed or even wiped down. It was very dirty. Well driving home on the freeway I heard some kind of noise coming from the front passenger side wheel, also something felt loose in the steering. The truck did not feel safe to drive on my trip. At 9:am on 5/17/2022 I called the Bloomington, CA. Enterprise and told them I would like to trade the truck in for another it did not feel safe. They asked if I could wait until they got more trucks in. I also chatted with Enterprise customer service they said I had to contact the place I rented from. At 1:30 pm I called again was told I was on a waiting list. They would call me. At 2:30 pm I called Enterprise customer service make a complaint and was told they would call me shortly. At 5pm No call from anyone at Enterprise. I went to Enterprise-Bloomington, Ca. told them the problem they were rude had to call manger to get it approved. They tell me all there cars are safe I told them drive it on freeway and u tell me. Then the other customer service girl goes a truck oh yeah we have plently of them. Because I said I would take a car anything. So I got them to trade the truck for another truck but that was was also dirty. But I didn't say anything. I am very disappointed with Enterprise and there bad customer service and quality of cleanest of there rentals.

Desired outcome: I would like a extra day of my rental for the day I wasted due to your bad customer service at the Bloomington location.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Friendly request to remove holding for Reference Document #2BYWML

Dear EAN Service Rental Resolution Team,

Hope you are all doing well. I am humbly and kindly reaching out to urge you to remove a holding on my Enterprise account. This holding is for the rental provided by an insurance of a driver who was found at fault on a car accident. The rental was towed by mistake by the towing company on 01/05/2021. Because of this error a holding has been placed to my Enterprise account for an event that didn’t cause, didn’t request nor I damaged. Please help me remove this holding as another insurance has booked another rental through Enterprise for three weeks and I cannot pick up the vehicle because of this.

The car under the rental agreement with # 2BYWML was mistakenly towed by a towing company by mistake. I didn’t request to have the rental towed, the rental didn’t need to be the towed as there was nothing wrong with it.

Some towing company towed the car by mistake from my apartment complex just cuz it didn’t have the parking ticket that all tenants have. Clearly the rental didn’t have the parking sticker as it was not my car. The incident was not my fault whatsoever as I did notified my landlady, her assistants at the leasing office and the maintenance team. They did not provided me with a parking sticker as they said I was fine, and they would remember. However, two days before my rental agreement ended, before the due date to turn in the rental it was towed by mistake by the towing company from where you guys got it. I woke up and lucky got a call from the bodyshop that was taking care of my vehicle to tell me I could stop by to pick it up. So! again, before the due date to turn in the rental I was planning to return it as I could go get my car. But, when I heading towards the rental it wasn’t there. I was so pissed as neighbors told me they saw the towing truck were taking a car like the one I described but they didn’t know who it belonged to. I was so pissed and when to talk to my landlady, her assistants and the maintenance team. They all claimed they didn’t request that car to be towed either. So; considering this it was entirely the towing company's fault.

Why am I being charged for something I didn’t cause, something I didn’t request nor damaged? that’s very unfair. You should’ve called the towing company and ask who requested to tow the vehicle. That’s the responsible one!

In addition, according to the rental agreement shared with me from the other driver’s insurance was that some of the benefits, agreements and policies for that rental included free roadside assistance, towing servicing, etc. The rental was still under the contract with the other driver’s insurance that provided me woth that car. Why Enterprise didn’t mail the insurance in charge the bill for this ridiculous charge if they were who were paying for the rental for me?

Moreover, I never got a bill mail to my address about this. I just found out about this as another driver’s insurance is booking a new rental for me for three weeks and I am unable to pick up this new rental because of that irrational holding Enterprise placed on my account for not valid reason which shows discrimination towards me and lack of professionalism to resolve issues that concern to clients.

It is worth mentioning that when I found out the rental was towed I immediately notified Enterprise in person and the staff at Group Branch 560H in Nashville TN told me the following: “ Do NOT worry, we will take care of it! it’s not a problem, if you wanna turn in the vehicle just turn in the key and we’ll handle everything with the insurance who got you this rental, you won’t get charged for anything “ they said. I double-checked what she had just stated and she confirmed “ I assure you won’t be in troubles, you won’t be charged at all. We’ll handle everything and do not worry for the rental we are here to take care of it” she concluded.

By promising me that I wasn’t gonna get charged and getting charged months after without official notification through mail shows not only lack of professionalism but also high and clear signs of discrimination.

I urge you to remove this or I will take it to court because you guys are putting me in a very tough situation by not being able to pick up this new reservation booked through anothet driver's insurance!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Charge on my rental car

I rented a car at the morning of May 4th and that same night purchased a new car at a Toyota dealership in Glen Mills, PA. I was very happy that I could leave the rental there as a drop off and since it was early evening the dealership said they would have it picked up from the Chaddsford Enterprise location the next morning. I had a $600 hold on my credit card for several days and ended up with $101.07 charge. I called the next day and was told it was going to be $68. It seems like someone swindled me out of some money here and I want my money back!

Desired outcome: Return my money, It was overpriced and not what I was quoted. I rented the car on May 4th and dropped off at a dealership Toyota Glen Mills same night. I was charged $101.04 which is insanely high for 1-day compact car.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Rental conditions

Picked a rental up from Manchaca location in Austin,Tx on 4-11-22 @12:40p.m. Agent was extremely nice, walked around vehicle notice alot of scratches dents, and that the vehicle looks as if it's been wrecked on the bumper. I was in a hurry to get back to work after he showed technical stuff about the vehicle. As I drive off notice the vehicle is extremely dirty on the inside spots, dirty sun visor filth everywhere. I was driving vehicle today and the vehicle stopped on me. Not sure if the vehicle was properly sanitized. The vehicle looks as if it's someone personal vehicle who have children that touched everywhere with hot cheetos. Vehicle drives extremely ruff. Tried to call in after I drove off no one answered the phone, again today and no answer.

Desired outcome: I would like a different vehicle. Prefer the vehicle to be cleaned inside and out, not half done. I need reliable transportation, to go safely to and from work.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Discrimination car rental

I had a car reservation setup by Liberty Mutual. I'm disabled and have been seeking the return of my personal car, wheelchair, black military gloves and other personal items.

My rental car was taken back without warning. I had asked both Liberty Mutual and Enterprise for an explanation.

I ended stranded for 12 days before another rental company car was provided. I had been adamant about this wrong.

I have been calling the disability numbers. So far no progress. I'm frustrated and will start business and discrimination complaints next. The charges were outrageous and predatory.

I think it is disgusting to take my wheelchair away. I have missed too much from this screwup.

Desired outcome: The immediate return of my stolen property.I am trying for a correction of the billing.Blatant discrimination!

I paid all upfront how would I want something free if you guys had my money. That car had the check engine light on while I was driving from Madison wi to California. I had to swap the car out in Vegas it was not safe to drive if anything would of happened not only would you be liable I would be stuck in the middle of no 60 miles out from a exit. I paid for the insurance that you guys advertise covers anything and everything even if stolen i can give the keys and walk away. To be told that it only covers collision to try to get me to pay is [censored] because stolen isn’t collision and you guys never say that ever that’s why I paid 30 dollars a day for 14 days. This is the second time I have had a problem to continue to be judge and discriminated against

Is the worst slap in the face. Leaving me stuck in California with no way home and money I did not have that I spent on this rental. They also left me with all my stuff in the car not knowing where it is. When I was told I would get a phone call. To treat another human this way no matter the circumstances is digusting.

Thank you
