Dollar Tree The Sales Associate

On May 4, 2021 I was unloading my basket onto the belt of the register at the Dollar Tree at 612 Westchester Ave, Bronx, NY 10455 @ 17:05. After emptying my basket, I put it to the side where it would not be in the way of other patrons. The sales associate Angelica stated to me that "the basket goes over there" pointing at the doorway of the store. I didn't acknowledge her, and she said Ms. I then responded and said I heard you (without raising my voice or being disrespectful). After paying for my items, she handed me my receipt and I thanked her. As I was heading to the door she said to me "the next time you come in here go to another cashier because I don't service animals".
That's when I became obscene and appalled as a Black woman, mid 50s, have never been told such a thing ever in my life. I do believe in respect and treating others the way I want to be treated. I have done retail and know what comes with it.

Desired outcome: Customer service training or a demotion

Dollar Tree Store Appearance

The Dollar Tree in Ruskin FL is fairly new. It is filthy inside and out. Where is the district manager? I live 1 mile from the store and try to use it as much as possible but it's disgusting. The parking lot always has trash in it. The 2 garbage cans on either side of the door were always full and over flowing. Now they have tied blue plastic tarps on them so you can't use them. Inside the store is just as bad as the outside. Merchandise is always laying around. It's never put back up on its hooks or straightened out. I've gone in on a Mon and came back on the Fri to see the same stuff laying as it was on Mon. The store manager either needs to be retrained or replaced. Same with the district manager. Either the district manager doesn't come around or doesn't care because the store is never cleaned up. What a disgrace for Dollar Tree.
My goal for this complaint is in hopes that someone will take responsibility and check this store out. Then I hope the proper resolution will be taken to clean it up.

Desired outcome: presenting us with a nice store

Dollar Tree Customer service - customer safety

I was shopping at the Dollar Tree Store on Canal Drive, Turlock, CA. Everyone was wearing a mask properly except the associate at the cash register named Leticia. I was in the store for approximately 20 minutes. When I got to the register I respectfully asked her to put her mask over her nose. She refused. I told her she wasn't wearing it properly. She said she was. Our county is in the "red" tier and everyone is supposed to wear a mask in stores. Associates should be complying with store, State & local policy. I will not be returning to the store and will be letting everyone I know that it is not safe to shop there.

Desired outcome: Associates should follow company policy to keep people safe

Dollar Tree Treatment of a customer in Morehead Ky

I am customer at the Dollar Tree in Morehead Kentucky! This is really causing anxiety. I noticed a man seriously ill outside the Dollar Tree so I got a cashier. She brought him in started taking care of him. I heard him say, "I had surgery and have a daughter in the hospital" The cashier got him something to drink and eat. They were waiting on this mans daughter to come cashier even called. While this the man was in the store the assistant manager had called the cops and had him arrested. I find this in-compassionate and deplorable. I have called the store they dont care. I know one thing I will never go inside this store again! Anybody can go in that store deathly sick, falsely accused and go to jail.

Desired outcome: Cashier needs to be informed by management taking care of another human being is great customer service! She did correct

Dollar Tree Manager and assistant manager

I can't find a place on the Dollar Tree web site to submit a complaint.

On May 5, 2012 at about or around 5 to about 5: 30 P.M. there was a male customer in the store in Morehead, KY who was in obvious distress. A cashier Rachel(a woman in her late 40s) had already tried to help the man who told her he was having pain and sleeplessness for a couple days now. The assistant manager(Candace or Candice a female in her early 20s) never interacted with the customer at all. Instead she called her husband, a Morehead city police officer, to come and arrest him. Her husband and 5 of his buddies all surrounded this man and began making innuendo and outright accusations about him being on drugs. As they made him empty his pockets, some candy came out of his pocket and the assistant manager shouted, he stole that. The cashier said, NO, he had already bought that. Promptly hand-cuffed him and arrested him. I have no idea what charges this girl and her obviously crooked cop husband and his buddies have cooked up to justify the arrest because, the man was docile and compliant.

Directly after this callous display of complete disregard for another human being by the assistant manager(Candace or Candice) her husband and his buddies, the by that time understandably irate cashier(Rachel) announced she was leaving, and announced that this was her two weeks notice.

In conference with the manager, Blake. He stated his cousin(and nepotism shouldn't be allowed) did nothing wrong. She saw something out of the ordinary and it sacred her. The idea I get from that is anything mildly out of the ordinary is now a reason for the management to have any person arrested.

I no longer feel safe shopping at the Dollar Tree or (since they are the same company)Family Dollar stores under those circumstances. I now have the distinct worry that if I have an off or bad day and allow it to show, I'll be arrested, for the crime of having a bad day and being compliant when the management decides to call the cops.

Desired outcome: The dismissal of the nepotitic hired assistant amanger(Candace or Candice). The dismissal of the manager (Blake) for the nepotitic hiring and defense of the reprehensible treatment of customers. And, rehire of the kind cashier Rachel.

Dollar Tree Poor treatment of customers by ass't. manager, Cindy

I was at your Dollar Tree store, 6206 Wilmington Pike, Washington Township, OH 45459 on 5/06/21 and checked out at 15:51 p.m. I was standing in a line of about 12 people. To accommodate shopping customers, the line had wound itself around in front of the other cash registers so that it appeared there were probably only two or three customers waiting in line. After awhile and about 6 more customers behind me, I moved to the back of the clerk, spoke very kindly to her about the number (probably 15 or so by now) and simply asked if she could call for another clerk to help her. Others in the area heard me. She immediately became angry saying I could apply to work in the store to become part of the solution instead of "the problem." I slinked away back to my place in line instead of replying, and she kept on angrily commenting. But, then I heard other customers nearer the register begin to say that I was only asking kindly and should not have been spoken to in that way. It progressed to her shouting and telling customers to "shut up" causing them to leave their baskets to escape the store. Others left further down the line as well. I remained in the line hoping to apologize for upsetting her, however when I checked out she would not look at me. She did not have her name tag on, but later I saw it on my sales receipt. It says the person is Cindy and that she is the assistant manager.
Today, I called hoping to talk to the manager rather than advising you, the corporate office. When I called I asked for the manager. When the person answered, I asked if this was the manager speaking because I recognized the voice from the day before. She answered, "Yes, this is Cindy, and I am the manager. I kindly said, Thank You, and hung up.
I have shopped probably every two weeks in Dollar Tree Stores for 20 years all over the U.S. I have NEVER seen behavior like this. I will not shop in this Dollar Tree again until this woman is removed from the staff there.

Desired outcome: Removal of Cindy, Assistant manager, from this store.

Dollar Tree Online order #EC327532670

One item was available for free shipping to store. Something went wrong with website, and I didn't know it until I received order confirmation. I called immediately to have it fixed. Someone was suppose to call me back but never did. I shouldn't have been charged $35.35 just because your website messed my order up. Your shipping charges are ridiculous.

Desired outcome: I’d like the shipping charges on the item that was suppose to have been shipped to my local store refunded.

Dollar Tree Notice of discrimination

Dollar tree continues to deny service for customers with religious and medical exemptions. Michael Witnyski along with Sara Berg Rafal are continuing to ignore my requests to SHOW ME THE LAW regarding the MANDATORY masking when shopping at Dollar Tree/Family Dollar.

Right To Religious Expression(1st Amendment of the US Constitution).
God designed us to breath in and out through our nose and mouth as it is the 1st defense of the immune system.
(Genesis 2:7) Then the Lord god formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Dollar Tree and Family Dollar continue to discriminate on the Right to Religious Expression. They are forcing people to veil their faces. (2nd Corinthians 3:18) But we all, with unveiled face be holdings as in a mirror the glory of the Lord. (Genesis 2:7)Then the Lord formed a man from the dust of the ground and BREATHED INTO HIS NOSTRILS the breath of life, and the man became a human being.(Psalm 69:5) I cannot simply PUT ON A MASK and hide my guilt from God.

Desired outcome: Right of Equal Public Accommodations made for disabled and religious exemptions

Dollar Tree Condition of store

I live in Ponca City Oklahoma and would like to report our Dollar Tree.
The store is nasty dirty! There's carpet throughout the entire store and it's been filthy years. The store smells also.
I feel like I need to bathe after shopping there. Not a pleasant experience whatsoever .
I'm a crafter and this Dollar Tree doesn't carry near what I see that others do.
That employees are pleasant but they don't keep the store clean or tidy.
Please take care of this for our community.
I spend a lot of money at this store and I don't think it's too much to ask to want a clean snd well stocked Dollar Tree.
Thank you.

Dollar Tree Service by angry manager

Clerk was overwhelmed by long line of customers therefore she called for help from "loud mouth" manager who was holed up in her office. Manager can out, with out a mask, and no one went to her station but me. I purchased a newspaper costing $1.09. I had a ten dollar bill and wanted coins, so I gave her $10.04 in order to get coin and bills for change, $8.95. She shouted at me to give her a nickel! When I told her she was rude, and not nice to customers, she said, "what, cause I said to give me the nickel!" She talks in a load and surly voice and was upset cause she was called to assist a very busy clerk with a long line of customers. I did say to her she has a very "f" ing attitude and I am not sorry for saying that. I know nothing will come of this complaint, but I will not shop in your store while she is there. I have worked on this store and shipped here for approximately 20 years. You must be desperate to hire this loud mouth irtational person. Maybe she needs a drug test! Thanks

Desired outcome: New management.

Dollar Tree Customer harassment and no help from employees

May 2nd, 2021 this is the most dangerous dollar store around! As a woman, I was in line for 20 minutes, then super harassed by a customer who wanted to get ahead of me for some reason! I said no, he started calling me bad swear names and super degrading me, I asked the guy at the register, he had long dark hair, for help, he stated, I am working with a customer! I said to call security, he told me to do it myself! The customer who had 2 hooded sweatshirts on continued to harass me, the guy at the register said, both of you shut up or I will kick you out of this store! Not a real way to handle the situation! I will never go into a dollar store again, I don't feel safe with the workers and the customers! I will tell hundreds of people not to go to this store ever! When you talk to the employee, he will lie like a rug, what else can you expect! No males stuck up for a grandmother today!

Desired outcome: CLOSE THE STORE FOR ALL OUR SAFETY! DON'T EXPECT NOTHING, I GOT NOTHING!!!

Dollar Tree Racial profiling at dollar tree

I have been shopping at this Stillwater Dollar Tree for years and have never had any issues until Monday, April 27, 2021. Every clerk in the store, including the Manager had been so kind and friendly as always. But this particular clerk was at the register and when she was done checking she would come to the aisle that I was in and just stand there watching me as if to intimidate me. At first, I shrugged it off but when it continued to happen in three different aisle it became annoying. I decided enough is enough. The sad part she would have probably gotten away with it, but she didn't even speak to me or even smile at me, she just stood there and watched me. Of course, when I reported her to the manager, she said O I was trying to think what I should eat for lunch. I did not even dignify her answer or argue with her, nor did I believe her. The manager apologized and said that he was sorry that I felt this way. This is not new for me, I been racial profiled many times in my lifetime, but it's been a long time since a clerk was so blatant and especially in this store when everyone has always been so kind and made me feel welcome. The customer service and the tidiness of the store is why I always shop there when I go to my doctor at Stillwater Medical.

Desired outcome: This Associate needs to be reprehended and she needs definitive scenario-based training and role-playing exercises, specific instruction on the subject of racial profiling.

Dollar Tree Product and Service

I felt that I was treated unprofessionally from the store manager, that had no name tag, and kept emphasizing that she was the manager but did nothing to look and see that the store stock was also broken. This [protected]@ store#[protected] SE Military Dr. Suite 121. San Antonio, TX [protected]. I've always been treated with outstanding service at this Dollar Tree in my neighborhood. I purchased these frames on 04/20/21. To top it off, when I walked in the store an associate looked at my return and approved it. His initials was RT on my receipt and told me to get what I needed. After my transaction was done, the manager put the two broken frames and the unopened one with my receipt into the original bag, gave it back to me and the cashier charged me for three solar light that I had exchanged it for. That was a total embarrassment to me and because I asked why, the manager said I know its not right, but that she did not make the rules dollar tree did on the receipt. When you put " no unopened items are exchanged". But clearly your store stock are broken through the see through package, something I did not noticed. Clearly when you hire managers you need to give them full empowerment to make the right decisions for the integrity of the company. Unfortunately for me I got the raw end of the stick.

Desired outcome: I would like for that manager to call me personally and do my exchange without treating me like a thief because I am an honest consumer. I want her to know that its not right to embarrass or belittle customers.

Dollar Tree Unethical behavior, harassment, hostile

Transferred to a new Dollar Tree as a freight manager in march 2021. Previous freight manager at 2 other stores. Assistant manager, a 27 year old female that was hired 4 months previously has been harassing, hostile and disrespecting since day one. I have been tolerating swearing, flipping the bird, being called stupid, answering pertinent questions with da! Total disrespect in front of employees. Leaving the store with a drawer in that was not cashed out or Z read. Flipping the bird at me and stating she is leaving and left me stuck with open to close. Calling other employees to join her in the harassment. Having her 18 year old friend call corporate and say that I will not help her ring at the register. Trickling down to my district manager, then to my store manager, to me. Her friend cashier left her register with people in line and went outside without permission. Leaving no one at the registers. Asked a schedule question as to her start time and she answered with "read the blanking schedule." Reported it to the store manager and was told "You guys have to get along!" I agree but, can't get along as it is one sided. Was supposed to have a meeting, but was cancelled due to my store manager being temporarily transferred to another store. Currently I am running our store with this assistant. She refuses to do her job and leaves it all to me. IE; daily shrinkage, garbage, boxes and U boats all over the store. I hope you can help me. I like my job and would like to get along as a team with this assistant. Yesterday I gave 2 weeks notice to my store manager. I have developed a stomach ulcer and it hurts worse in this toxic environment. I can't even take sick days or vacation days to try and heal. There would be no one to run the store. I am waiting on meds to arrive from my Doctor. I have tried killing with kindness and/or avoidance with no success. This is my 5th year with Dollar Tree after retiring as a National Paramedic and EMS instructor/ trainer. I enjoy putting out freight and would like to continue at the Kennywood store. Thanks for your consideration.

Dollar Tree Refused service during store hours

On the night of April 22, 2021 @ 9:54, I'm excited to pull into Dollar Tree parking lot on S. Mason Rd in Katy, TX. because I'm just in time to get the one item I needed. Unfortunately once I reached the doors of the store, they did not open and the two young men inside ignored my knock and my eye contact. The younger of the two was standing at the register and moved to the balloon location where the second gentlemen was standing. I walked further down the sidewalk to get closer to where the gentlemen were standing and make motions/verbal cues that it was not ten o'clock yet. There was at least five minutes left for me to go the exact location of pop rocks candy and check out. I needed that specific candy for my students the next day. They enjoy them as rewards for working hard throughout the day and I only had three packages left from my last purchase at this store.
The two employees that night, simply kept talking and didn't make one move to check the time, respond to me, or allow the shopper to purchase their need during business hours. It was truly frustrating to be treated so insignificantly when my purpose was to help others.

Desired outcome: an apology

Dollar Tree manager

I am an Employee of The Dollar Tree in Hiawassee Georgia. On Sunday April 18th, I went in before 3:00 PM. After clocking in, a Man who had been a customer came in to sell me the book that he had promised to bring in a few days earlier when he was a customer. There was no line, and I was not waiting on anyone. He came to the end of the counter to explain some things in the book. The Manager came out of her Office, walked by and said "no personal business when you are on store hours." I was completely embarrassed by her actions. Not only did she reprimand me, but she did it in front of a customer. I did not say anything to her, The Man came back later to tell me that she was out of line, and that he won't be shopping there any longer.

Desired outcome: PR training

I don't think this is a cashback fee. $25.15 is not an option for cash back and the service charge would have been more than $1. I think this maybe an overdraft fee

Dollar Tree store manager

your store in Indian Hills shopping center is located right behind 6 condos. Two different people have went to the store to address issues of garbage blowing out of dumpster and making a mess on our property. Also an issue of tractor trailers pulling on our grounds. We have tried to do this as neighbors but the manager said she did not have time to deal with us or the problem. Everyone likes the store but not pleased with the management attitude. The zoning commission has told us if it can not be resolved they will get involved.
We have other pictures if you want them.
Thanks for you time and attention

Dollar Tree Filthy store, disrespectful cashiers, boxes stacked up everywhere

This is the filthiest store that I have ever been too. This store is never stocked, boxes are stacked up high everywhere, this is a safety issue for anyone who enters this store. I have seen customers dig through boxes because, they never stock the shelves. The floor is filthy, nasty and disgusting, there is spillage, everywhere. I have never seen this store clean. The manager obviously is not doing her job. Corporate needs to send somebody to this store immediately. A lawsuit is waiting to happen. I have added pictures, that I took today. This store should be shut down, u til it is properly cleaned and stocked. We are in a pandemic and everything should be properly cleaned and sanitized. My next step is the health department.

Desired outcome: For this store to be shut down, properly cleaned and stocked.
