I purchased a large bag of Heartland Farms seafood medley cat food on April 21, 2023 and now that I have been feeding it to my cats for a little over a week, I find a very large chunk of molded food at the bottom of the bag! I hardly ever buy that brand but didn't have a choice since there was absolutely ZERO other bags of cat food on the shelves and no other stores near by. This is a VERY common accurance at the Dollar General store near me. Shelves are never stocked and I literally have to park my cart in a corner to walk around the store to get my items because there's so many carts of products that need to be stocked. 1 of my cats is starting to show symptoms of being ill and I've seen that brand has had some recalls since last year for aflatoxin in some of their pet foods. I'm already angry that my poor animals have been subjected to this disgusting food but I'm going to be LIVID if something seriously happens to any of them from consuming a product I thought was safe but was full of toxic mold!
Desired outcome: My desired outcome is going to depend on how ill my pets get!!!
Only way to get the attention of any business is to hit them in their heartland (bank account).
Complaining will never get anywhere, must return the item for full refund - it doesn’t take many returns before it wakes them up.

DO NOT LET YOUR CATS EAT THIS... My man came home with the same trash cat food. Both my boys will eat just about any edible source of foods... They have went day 5 now... 5 WHOLE DAYS AND REFUSE TO TOUCH IT AT ALL. They are following me yelling for food (can't till Friday which makes me even more mad at this waste) they are starving for real. My oldest tried to eat some 15 mins ago INSTANTLY PUKED.
I just recently bought this cat food for my barn cats because they didn't have my cat cow and both of my cats were totally healthy. In a week or two from them eating it they both died showing no symptoms. Just up and died. Why arnt they taking this off the shelf? I lost my favorite barn cat, he lived everyone and everything. :(

No it is not how you store the food bought a bag of cat food my cats died from it heartland farms seafood and Melody I will never buy it again they need to take it off the shelves
I bought a 24 pound bag of outdoor chicken and tuna heartland farms from dollar general in my neighborhood and all five of our cats puke everytime they eat it. Is there a refund or something I still have a whole bag still what do I do with the remaining cat food?
