My fiancé was on a cruise with her niece. This company had a store on the ship. She purchased a ring for $5000.
Problem. She is an alcoholic and had fallen off the wagon. Secondly, she is a senior citizen. she told me the sales rep in the store kept badgering her to buy something. She was not in full control of her faculties and , according to witnesses, it was obvious. She should not have been sold anything at that time. I feel that the company exploited her because of her age and her condition.
We have returned the ring. they are now in possession of it. However, they refuse to issue a refund, only credit. That is written in the contract, but my fiancé was not in shape to read and understand it at the time they took advantage of her.
We now have a $5000 charge on a TD bank.
Claimed loss: $5000.00
Desired outcome: Refund the purchase and pay the bank that holds the account (TD Bank). If goes nowhere, i plan on filing exploitation complaint with the state DA where DI is located.

Their answer is 100% BS. they are a low-end company that writes this nonsense because if they did not, they would be flooded with returns due to the high pressure, borderline sales tactics. Just read some of the other revies and complaints. Reputable retailers do not cover they a__ this way becauser they do not have to!
As far as the intoxication goes, I held that until i was sure the item was returned and in their possession. Agreeing to their terms was the only way to get the return authorized. I can have a witness statement that will substantiate that she was inebriated at the time of the purchase, Further more, the fact that she is a senior citizen and exploited has not been addressed here.
And, there is no signed document that accepts "the selected remedy as full and final settlement of any and all claims related to the transaction, and waives any future claims against Diamonds International and its related entities concerning the purchase."
This will not end here. My next step will be to file a exploitation complaint with the district attorney in the state they are located.
I offered you $500 as consolation for the return of the ring just to mitigate the situation. You did not accept that because you a nothing by a greedy, subpar retailer that has to do business this way.
