We arrived at the Days Inn at 1970 Craig Rd. in Maryland Heights, Missouri July 21st. The outside of the building showed neglect and trash was thrown into the corners of the buildings. The inside was just as bad, filthy, dark and stinky. As I checked in the desk, clerk informed the little ones behind me that we’re all dressed in their swimsuits with their Floaties and lifejackets on at the pool would be opening soon. I actually booked the hotel because of price and it had a nice pool. I was bringing my disabled granddaughter to an appointment at Children’s Hospital. And she really really wanted to swim at the pool. When we got in the room, it was pretty Filthy . we wereafraid to sleep in the bed for fear of bedbugs possibly. After about two hours to three hours, my son went to the pool and the children that were wanting to swim we’re still just running around waiting for the doors to become unlocked to get it and have access to the pool. He went to the front desk and asked when with the pool was going to be open. At that time, the gentleman said it’s not opening today. Needless to say my son was very upset. He told the man that we wanted our money back and that we were leaving the hotel. The gentleman said oh OK. And that was it. How do I know I’m going to get the money back? I gave him my credit card. The whole place seemed very shady. The outside excess doors were broken and you didn’t even need a key to get in. Anyone could walk into that hotel at any time. And the door to my room was broken. The only thing I had was the bar to keep people out. Didn’t feel safe there.
