Days Inn review: cleanliness of hotel room

Hi,

I am very unsatisfied with my recent stay at Days Inn Coushatta, La. The room had not been properly cleaned nor inspected, had a bad odor which the hotel staff is aware of because they have placed Glade plug ins in the wall and the telephones in the rooms do not work.

The bed sheets and comforter had lots of BLOOD on them. This is a major health issue, very unsanitary and disgusting. Your staff did not properly inspect or clean the room. The staff member came in and changed the bedding and advised us that the hotel manager "Paul" had been made aware but was asleep. She stated that we could ask for him at check-out to resolve this matter. She also advised us that it was only her 3rd day if employment there and advised us of all of the other horrible complaints that she'd received and had to resolve. However, A few hours later at check-out, there was a different clerk working the desk, she advised my husband and I that Paul was aware of the incident but was now on vacation! She advised us that since I'd made my reservation through Travelocity, I'd have to contact them with my complaint. I did! Travelocity called Days Inn on 8/13/2019 and was told that Paul or management was unavailable and that Travelocity would need to send them an email so that they could resolve the issue. As of today, 8/19/2019, Claire at Travelocity said that Days Inn has failed to respond to their email. Claire called to the front desk of the hotel and was told that management was not available. This is a very serious matter that needs to be promptly addressed by Days Inn. The problem has not been resolved because Days Inn is avoiding their responsibility.

I'd like someone in management to contact me. I also plan to contact the states health department to make them aware.
