We checked in on 7/13/26 and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly, just straight to the point.
When we got to our rooms, we could see that they haven't been taking care of very well. Holes in the walls, broken mirror and a piece of the flooring was missing. They only have 3 small pillows for a king-sized bed.
My husband went to take a shower, he stared the water and when he stepped into the tub he slipped and fell, fortunately he didn't get hurt just very mad.
Later my husband went to the front desk to get information to order pizza, and he asked the same gentleman as earlier if we could get another pillow and he said they didn't have anymore. My husband told the gentleman that he had fallen in the tub and that they should put something in the tubs so they wouldn't be so slippery. He also told him that they hotel could be sued for negligence and came back to the room. Not long after my husband got back the same gentleman knocked on our door and gave us the extra pillow that he said they didn't have.
The next morning my husband went to get some coffee and a little breakfast that the hotel website showed that they had free light breakfast. There were no cups for the coffee and no food.
We stayed at 6 different Days Inn hotels while on our 11-day trip and this is the worst of all. Due to these hotels not being very inviting we will never stay at another Days Inn.
Recommendation: Never stay at Days Inn in Chesapeake, VA
