overcharge & rude
Stayed 7-2-09. On 7-4-09 i called Days Inn of Marion NC & asked why my credit card was charged for $7.34 more than my receipt amount. The clerk who answered stated something about a 10% fee and then went off on me. I had to keep asking for a turn to speak. When i also asked why they require a $20.00 fee for paying with cash, he went ballistic and even said "F*UK YOU" . And to make a long conversation short, (mike) the manager stated if i had any other problems, i should contact the Police Dept.
Talk about a rude individual! This fellow really needs some ANGER MANAGEMENT classes. Because of his actions, all DAYS INN's will now be boycotted by me, my family, and numerous friends.

terrible experience
I too, am a victim of Days Inn No Cancellation policy. I cancelled the reservation 11 days in advance, this was the days inn at lancaster pa. The reservation was for a shopping trip with my mom & 2 sisters, 2 rooms. Eleven days before our trip we were informed that our dad has 6 months to live, needless to say, my mom and us didn't feel like shopping or leaving our dad at this time. That very same day i contacted days inn to cancel reservation, i was then informed that i should have read the NO CANCELLATION POLICY. I made the reservation via web. Regardless of policy, under some circumstances, most industries will waive the policy terms. My profession is customer service, which is all about the customer. Not with this company, the charge of 316.00 remains on my credit card. I am not sure where I will go next with this issue, any advice would be appreciated. I really think this company should be more sensative to their customers.

We made a reservation at the Days Inn on Anrew Johnson Hwy and discovered it was the wrong one. So we now have a reservation at the Days Inn at White Pine. (Both in Morristown, TN.) for Saturday September 6, 2008. When I tried to cancel the one on Andrew Johnson Hwy. (after talking to 3 people) I only got the run around - Bottom line - they refused to cancel and we are expected to pay even though we changed locations with the same chain (being Days Inn). I can tell you that not only will we not stay at a Days Inn again but will tell everyone that will listen to us not to stay there and WE DO TRAVEL A LOT and have stayed at Days Inn on MANY occasions. So sorry for this terrible situation.
Sincerely,
Pat Peoples.
sounds like someone working for the hotel posting a comment hmmmmm. That is a same about how Days Inn has gone to the toilet in the last couple of years.
Did you try disputing the charge with your credit card?
Some of the Days Inn only charge for the 1st night only and other owners charge for the whole stay. I wonder if in the next year there will be a class action lawsuit against Days Inn. You can behave in a bad way and in an illegal manner but eventually some action needs to be taken.
Leaving Days Inn for good.
My advice is to not make reservations that you can not cancel. I am sure the hotel is deeply sorry for your loss as am I. But in the end YOU made this reservation, not them.
managment
First off let me give you the positives because there where some. The cleaning ladies where awesome, very sweet and polite. Also, one female employee was a great employee, she was very accomidating, even though other enployees made promises she had know clue about... And now the negative. When we first arrived your employee, the boy, was on his computer and when we checked in he knew we had a dog. They knew when we reserved the room that we had a DOG, but somewhere in the lack of communication no pet fee had been applied to our rent.Your manager needs to learn some personal skills. There was a leak from air conditioner up stairs. She did not care said it was our problem. Also, the boy in one conversation, when i went to pay rent said that my pet fee would be $25 dollars for a week and then seconds later I asked to double check and he said he didn't know and would have to talk to the manager? This totally blind sided me because i thought the pet fee had already been added in. Plus a new employee who had only been here for 2 days took our reservation without asking about the pet policy and gave us false information. When I confronted them they where almost rude like they really didnt care.So dont want anything or complaing and your stay will be fine. This includes the smoke rolling down the non-smoking hallway. I work on the pipeline so I had planned on being here a while, like 6 months. But because of managment's lack of caring and your employees lying to keep themselves out of trouble, I will be leaving on tuesday when my rent is up. It's to bad because pipliners are like family and I could have recommended others to stay. 6, 000 dollars a head is alot to lose out on. thank you, Elizabeth Garner

The sad thing about all this is that Days Inn allows these owners to do whatever they want. They do not make them upgrade or make changes. Days Inn does not realize that it is known as a CRAPPY hotel brand. Here soon Motel 6 will be a better brand than Days Inn.. Days Inn needs to make these owners do something about these nasty hotels and all the issues that people are having. Sending out people to do inspections once every 6 months is nothing.. Because after the inspecter leaves they take everthing back out of the rooms and continue on with their crappy hotel and service. I have seen people getted kicked out of Days Inn's because they complain about stained towels and sheets..That should not be allowed, But Days Inn dont care as long as they get their money.
falsely charged
hotel takes credit card # and charges you for extra night. When you inform them they tell you that you need a cancellation # to receive the money back on your card.

reservations
I recently made a reservation at the days inn in Green Bay, WI for the Wisconsin State Bowling Tournament. I reserved two rooms. Later that day I found a hotel closer to lambeau field and the bowling alleys we had to bowl at. I made reservations there, and called days inn and cancelled my reservation. Now, a month later I have a charge on my credit card for $184.00. I called and talked to the manager and he says "well I don't have any records of you cancelling." So now he's sticking me with this charge and I called THE SAME DAY I RESERVED to cancel. What a pathetic hotel chain. Probably the worst i've ever had. I've seen some crappy hotels but as far as takin money, these guys are the best.

poor accomodation, terrible service
My family stayed at the Days Inn November 21-23, 2008. We wanted a getaway for our kids so we booked three rooms anticipating that most of the time at the hotel would be spent in the pool area. When we arrived and the kids rushed to the pool, what a shock as the pool was freezing cold. We went to the front desk and told the lady..she said that she would...

We called for a room since everything else was booked for that night because we had a doctor's visit to a specialist and we needed to travel because we live in a small town. A 2 year old and a 5 month old in tow, kinda need the room...we called and the person quoted us a rate...twice what everone else was charging. I asked y and i work for CN Rail which i get a corporate rate which offers a good discount...and was told we'll give u $10 off like they're doing us the favor...the reason they PRICE GOUGED which is what this is, is she said the manager told them to jack up the rates when everything else is booked...needless to say, had to sleep in our vehicule with 2 babies for a few hours to make trip back home. Nice to know a franchise this size prides itself on such unethical behavior...
charged for full lease
I recently went to Florida, from NY to attend MMI school. When we were down here at the end of August trying to find a place to stay, we were told the room would be about $18 per night, it was not.I could not find an apartment so I got a room at the Days Inn. After only five days I met up with someone from my hometown, who needed a room mate. I told Days Inn I would pay the regular price per night to get out of the lease and they said no. I feel this is very un fair an as I am not able to find a job yet, I am piching EVERY penny. I did not feel very safe where they put the college student way in the back where it it now lit very well. Please consider refunding some of the money.

So you entered into a lease that the hotel has no obligation to let you out of? But yet you come on here to bad mouth the hotel because they are holding up their lease that you agreed to? Give it a rest.
clogged toilet and a lot more
We stayed at this location before and was awakened by the housekeepers asking when we were leaving. They did this 3 times until we left. Check out was 11:00am and they started knocking at 8:00 am. When I called customer service they said they spoke with manager "Tom" and he reassured them it would not happen again. They said they couldn't offer us a...

I reserved 2 rooms at a Days Inn in Lawrenceville GA for 8/13-16/08 to attend a funeral. I was not notified of ongoing construction when I made the reservation. Gas station in front of the motel was cleaner and in better condition than the motel. We arrived after midnight and were awakened at 7 AM by a power screwdriver being used right outside our room...

I came to my room (Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008) after getting off work at 4:30 pm. When I entered my room I noticed my luggage had been opened and repacked. I looked in my secret compartment of my luggage and discovered someone had stolen my $700.00 golden diamond bracelet, my $200.00 sterling silver chain and sixty dollars ($60.00) in cash out of my suitcase...

The rooms were excellent and clean an average hotel. I was having a wonderful day until I stumbled upon some employee being mistreated. One lady was making derrogatory comments on how slow, overweight and how stupid one of the employees was..I couldnt believe my ears. I left the premises to go to a meeting that I had in town and realized that I had forgotten some papers and some other belongs. I was in a stayover when I left my door was shut when I returned to get my belongings the same woman that was complaining and talking about other workers was in my room. I found her stuffing a twenty dollar bill in her shirt and I then asked her if the girl cleaning my room would recieve it...she nervously stuttered yes...Ill make sure of it. I still couldnt get over why she was in my room there was no cleaning supplies and no cart in front of my room that seemed really sketchy. It made me wonder how many other people would be going in and out of my room? Plus It made me wonder if they do that to all people and guests who stay at theie hotel. I was really upset how unprofessional this woman was. I now regret
t not saying something sooner. I guess the next time I want a hotel Ill have to pay a little more money for privacy and and respect for my rights and my belongings..I talked to the woman at the front desk and they told me that the older woman with the short hair that she was head of housekeeping. I then wondered how many times she was embezzeling money from the company and employees. Well Beware of this Her name is Karen at the Grayling Days Inn. She does not have a very friendly dispostion at all. I wonder how she knew that the 20 dollar bill was even a tip. Its a shame and I will not be returning there ever again. Now I really know what those Do Not Disturb Signs are really about people like her! That Head Housekeeper should be FIRED...I just couldnt believe that she had the audacity to do such a thing. This woman is completely unprofessional. Beware anyone who stays here. Take your valuables with you..especailly if you have numerous people coming in and out of your room to think that I was only gone for about 5 minutes to come back to someone taking your tips for the maidservice...totally untrustworthy and I will not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!
Sincerely,
Christopher G. Wellington

I was reading this site and decided to take a look at the company i work for surpsing to see this so i just want to say something about it.
I have worked here for a year now, and I have never heard of Karen, so she is no longer here.
I am sorry to hear about both of those things, but none of that goes on anymore the only people who go into your rooms are house keepers and you the front desk staff will only enter to deliver something off, or apon request (like some type of issue that they will have to fix)
I'm not a manager or anything like that I am a Front Desk Clerk my name is Andrew.
Wow,
This is one of the worst complaints I have read on here..my husband and I were going to Vacation in Grayling this summer and we were looking into hotels. There arent very many around that area..so we decided to go with Days Inn...well needless to say we wanted to see if it was a nice enough hotel. Also to see if there ever has been any problems. After reading what you have posted my husband and I changed our minds totally. We will not be staying there. I dont want to hear bickering amongst staff while I am on vacation. And I definitely dont want a ton of people in my room while I am away. That really bothers me the most. I thought that people could trust going to places like that. I guess you were right you will have to go elsewhere for privacy and respect. I am sorry to hear that this has happened to you..well at least you put a warning out there for people to stear clear of that place. Well I hope that this woman gets dealt with...I would just hate to think that she is getting away with such things especially going thru peoples rooms. And I thank you again..because without you I would have never of guessed to even think about how many people go in and out of your rooms.
I wonder how the woman knew that your money was even for tips..If I were you Id definitely look deeper into this!

Fraud and scam!
Beware of Days Inns. I booked a room for a week in Birmingham Alabama for a business trip and a week before my stay, the company I work for changed my travel plans and were sending me to another city. I called Days Inn to cancel my reservation a week in advance and was told I couldn't cancel my reservation and I would be charged for the room whether I stayed there or not. I said "excuse me? I am canceling this reservation a week in advance.. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and I have NEVER encountered this before!"
To make a long story short, I have talked to trip rewards. Days Inn Customer Service and been tossed around from place to place like a cat toy and they are still charging me for a room for a week that I will not be staying in. I have learned since that this is a common practice for Days Inn, This has got to be illegal.
Beware... Avoid Days Inn's at all costs... they are a horrible choice for business travelers!
What is it with people on this website booking non-refundable rates and then ### about not being able to get a refund when they try to cancel? Accept the fact you booked a non-refunable reservation and move on!

Tuscaloosa AL 35405
On August 26, 2008, i called Days Inn in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to cancel a reservation that i intially had for the 27th thru the 31st of August. I was issued a cancellation notice number, and told that i would also receive an e-mail confirming the cancellation. However, i kept calling over the next couple of days, excluding Labor Day to make sure that Days Inn would e-mail me that confirmation page. I received nothing until today(Sept. 2), a billing statement for the days that i "didn't show up".
I called Days Inn and gave them the same confirmation number, and the routed me to another department that said that number doesn't exist, and we will get billed. I asked them how can they not have this information in the system when they gave me this number on the phone? Customer service kept apologizing, and saying there's nothing they can do. I stated that it was unfair to bill someone when your company gives a confirmation number, and all of a sudden, you can't find the confirmation number. Also, no one e-mailed, and she stated, "I don't know what happened". We asked to speak to the manager, the manager never made it to the phone because we held on for half an hour! How can you bill someone when they called and cancelled, and gave the company the same confirmation number that they gave you? Days Inn- Unfair and unjust ---nonsense

My husband and I took our two wonderful young grandsons on vacation, as we do every year, (its their special vacation for being in school) and we stayed at the DAYS INN, just off the strip. This hotel had a Very, Very RUDE and defiant front desk man... The Inn was not only disgustingly filthy, but was also in such poor maintenance that I took pictures and sent them on to the Corporate office along with my complaint of the office staff, (of course, I have yet to receive any feed back from said corporation as of yet), But any way, their continental breakfast included THREE DAY OLD doughnuts from crispy creme, some very STALE corn flakes and some type of one inch muffins that you could not even get to as they were locked in a see through box and the O.J. was out and the apple juice was soured somehow, and when asked if they could change it, I was rudely given the answer of, (in a min.) while she just stood there for the duration of my trying to get at the muffins, (holding up the counter) if you get my jest... THIS ROOM WAS AT A COST OF $138.00 per night and it was a reservation at that... While driving through Pigeon Forge On the strip, (taking the grandsons to ride all the rides etc.) I noticed these BEAUTIFUL HOTELS and MOTELS for a mere $39.00-$50.00 a night rooms. UNBELIEVABLE! PEOPLE, please do not waste your time or money and or peace of mind in Gatlinburg's many disgusting Hotels, Motels... Just go to Pigeon Forge as it has everything you will need for your kids as well as yourselves to insure that you have a wonderful and carefree vacation... If you want to go to Gatlinburg its only 20min. away... Thank you so much for listening, and next year have a wonderful VACATION MRS. NORTON
nasty place!
Stayed at a Days Inn in Bedford VA. The place was filthy and run down. Moldt towel under the sink. Ceiling tiles dirty. Chairs not fit to set on. Bed was broken. Lights not working and the whole place was nasty. Stay clear!
I just had a horrible experience with a reservationist at Wyndham Worldwide. I was treated rudely and hung up on by an agent who was unable to answer some basic questions about a discount program. I called back and was put on hold for 20 minutes. I spoke with a supervisor who apologized but refused to cancel the reservation. I will go out of my way to Never use Wyndham Worldwide for anything, ever again. Days Inn did go ahead and cancel the reservation.

Rude and bad service
I am writing to you to share my most recent and my last experience with Days Inn. I went on line to trip rewards as I usually do to book. I booked six rooms at the AARP rate. I went to submit and accidentally hit the prepay button. I admit that is not what I wanted to do, as my family was each going to pay for their own room. I immediately called the hotel; Days Inn at 20th and Market in Chattanooga, TN, and was informed that I could pay cash for each room upon check in. However I was bound to all six rooms and if I did not use them they would be billed to my American Express card, of which I said was fine.
Upon arrival to the hotel, we were greeted by a very unprofessional and unfriendly desk agent. After several times of being interrupted by the phone, we went to check in. She informed me that the rooms were already prepaid to my credit card. I tried to explain to her that I was told we could pay cash for the rooms and that there were no charges on my card. She again and again and again referred to the agreement of when I booked the rooms. I tried again to explain to her that I was told we could pay cash for the rooms and that my card had not been charged. I have always paid cash and could not understand why she would not take cash. I then explained to her that I would call Days Inn customer service and American Express. American Express said there were no charges or authorizations. I talked to a Days Inn representative at customer service. He contacted the hotel and then came back on the line to tell me that I had been rude to the agent and stormed out of the hotel. I was with my family and they can vouch that was not true. I was made to feel the victim by your Days Inn representative who told me too cool down and perhaps have a family member get our rooms. We went to lunch and then returned to the hotel. The same agent said that she had checked us out of the rooms and that she would have to see if there were any. She then said that she would prefer that we leave and go elsewhere. I told her that event thought the hotel was disgusting in look and no pool open, we wanted out rooms. She once again said NO, go somewhere else. Upon calling Carrie at the presidents office, she took the complaint and expressed that there was little she could do. I talked to the general manger at the hotel as well as the owner and to be frank, they didn’t give a damn. We lost money for the catering we had for the next day, as all my family had to drive back home, as the rooms in Chattanooga were all booked in other hotels. This is the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel brand. I intend to post this message story everywhere I can on the internet to warn people to stay away from Days Inn hotels. Had this been a Hilton property, I can assure you this would never have happened like this. As far as I am concerned as well as well over 100 people that I have talked to so far, we would rather sleep in a park than ever stay at another Days Inn again.
Days Inn Churchmans Rd Newark DE---It's conceivable that a hotel chain is not more aware of the way the "independent owner" is ruining their product brand. I will NEVER stay in another hotel in this chain. It's dirty and the staff is unbelievably rude (hair stuck to the shower walls, carpet that clearly hasn't been vacuumed in a while, bedspread with burn holes in a non-smoking room, clogged toilets and staff that is complacent about patrons concerns). It took 12 rings the first call, 9 the second call and 6 times the third, when I finally got an answer they sent someone to my room that spoke no english to fix my sink(my sink wasnt broken the toilet was)..he spent 3 minutes in there, said it fix and left. An hour later, the toilet still wasnt working, called agaIn, no one came. 40 minutes later someone shows up at my door, walks into the bathroom, flushes the toilet and it floods(I guess I dont know what a clogged toilet is because they were already aware it was clogged). The man offers to get me a plunger to fix it! Isnt that your job? I said no thank you-you can get me a new room with a working bathroom though. Its been 30 minutes since he left to get me new keys.
We travel a lot with the military, but I can say with a lot of certainty we will not be staying at a Days Inn again.
Melissa Harris you belong in jail, lying for a free stay. They were on to you, they know you brought your own roaches. They get this every time.It is not the employee that needs to be reprimanded it is you that needs it. You are lucky you are not in a foster home because your parents abandoned you in a hotel room all by yourselves.
" I didn't think we should have had to pay for a full night stay after all of that, but we did."
I believed your story, then I read the last line, it seems like you just wanted a free nights stay. I would not be surprised if you made a call saying there was a bomb and stayed in your room knowing it was not true, then pretended not to know anything about it and demanded your free night because you were not informed. Come on now, anyone with half a brain would know to leave the room if they were scared. You are just lying for a free nights stay.
Sounds like you are the rude one, you were wrong and your family is only vouching for you out of fear that you do not react violently.
You are not telling the truth here, I mean obviously with the way you behave the credit card was not yours because you are too young to have a credit card. This was your fault, you pressed the pre pay button. An adult would be able to admit fault, an adult would also not mistake being told no as rudeness, and an adult would have been able to wait patiently for her to answer the phone. If it has been you calling and she was busy dealing with customers you would be complaining about how long it took to answer the phone, if it was answered at all. If you are not six years old and just acting that age grow up. You sound like someone who has a temper, it is possible that your family will only vouch for you because they are afraid you would physically harm them if you don't. Even then families stand up for each other even if their member is lying and from your attitude I doubt that you are telling the truth about not storming out. The hotel would not refuse you service unless you were posing as a threat, they have other people staying there to watch out for and have concern about their safety. You are not the victim, you were careless when booking line and are acting like a six year old child by blaming them for your mistake. Not once did you take responsibility for your mistake, grow up. I am sure the 100 people you talked to only said they would rather sleep in a park than a hotel only did that out of fear that you would react violently if you disagreed with them.
refused to let me stay at days inn because I was in a wheelchair
is it your policy not to let handicap victims stay at days inn? ON OUR WAY BACK FROM fL. WE STOPPED IN Hagerstown Maryland to get a room, went to days inn asked for handicap room the clerk said they do not allow wheelchairs there as they mark the rugs and damage the walls! and said we could not stay there! I have been in a wheelchair for forty years and have never been treated with such cruelty! Is this your policy?
I also had a bad experience with Days Inn Chattanooga Tn (Hamilton Place Location). The staff on duty at my time of arrival was very friendly and polite. We had come down to take care of some business so we put our bags down and left for the day, upon returning I had to make several phone calls, but my phone was out of order, I reported it and was told it was placed on a work order list, never got fixed. I laid down to sleep and smelled perfume on the pillow case, then noticed make up as well. Luckily we travel with pillows and a blanket, being so late I didn't want the hassle of changing rooms. Keep this mind my foot is broken in a cast so walking up to the desk was not an option. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room the curtains filthy and half hung, bathroom had hair on the floor, toe nail clipping found in the bed later also on the floor. YUCK I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT ANOTHER DAYS INN AGAIN. I did however called in a complaint and have yet to get a call back or response. Please if your planning a trip of any kind do not I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGET IT! Lisa Howard Cincinnati Ohio
I arrived at the Days Inn, Great Falls, Montana the day after Christmas exhausted. Checking in about midnight, and my son arrived and checked in at about 1:30 in the morning after me. I read till he arrived safely. At no time did they indicate to either myself or my son that they would be doing construction in the room directly above ours and replacing carpets the following morning. We were woken up to hammers dropping and loud banging. Although we are typically up in the mornings, this particular morning due to travels and the Christmas holiday, we wanted to sleep. We asked about check out times, and believed outside of other guests in the hallways, or the slamming of another guests room, we would be left to get some much needed sleep. Wrong. Upon check out, I quietly mentioned to the front desk help that I did not appreciate the construction waking us up, and inquired as to why we were not placed somewhere else or at least notified of the construction so we could decide on another hotel. She did not attempt to be polite, apologetic, or helpful. She shrugged her shoulders and said to a man standing close by that she would get the Manager and he came over. He had the same give-a-care attitude, said it's morning and looked at a clock on the wall. I attempted to state that I have a right to sleep (that's why I am in a hotel, paying) and as long as I am out of the hotel room by check out time, I should not have had to listen to hammers and banging. I mentioned to him that my room was so loud that I was not able to use the phone, and I was being honest and sincere about my complaints. He looked at the wall clock again and said, "it's morning, you should be up." I was appalled that both, the Manager and the morning guest service/front desk had the same unprofessional approach with their guests. I then asked to have the number of the Corporate office, and the "manager" handed me his business card and said to me with his smart mouth, "knock yourself out, I am not only the manager, I am the owner of this building and this Days Inn, " then reminded me that it's morning and we should have been up. His exact words.
I wonder why, he was not professional enough to look like a manager/owner? Why he had no customer care training? Why when construction is scheduled that he is not organized enough to simply inform the night staff that there is scheduled maintenance and try to not place a guest near the construction, and if the hotel fills to at lease inform guests of the construction and give them the option to stay with days Inn, or seek another hotel? What kind of owner/manager has no commonsense? and one would question why the front desk employee had no customer skills, and I was immediately greeted with conflict instead of a "good morning, how was your stay?" They owe me my money back.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in regards to my stay at the Sleep-Inn Evansville, Wyoming (room 114) on 4/13/12. Upon checking in, I opted to pay for my room with cash. I was told that I needed to provide a credit or debit card. Before giving my debit card to the check-in clerk, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if there would be any charges on this card, including any type of authorization fee. She assured me that there would not be. I again asked if there would be ANY charges on my card as this was a debit card and I needed the money in my account first thing that Monday morning. She AGAIN assured me that there would be no charges. I gave her my card and my cash payment and went to my room.
The next day, there was an $81 pending charge on my debit card. I went back to the hotel and asked the same woman who checked me in the previous night (kgilbe.wy057) why there had been a charge when she assure me that there would not be. She said that there should not have been a charge, but if there were it was simply an authorization. I explained that I understood that the charge was pending. The issue is:
*My bank does not allow me to have access to pending funds.
My vehicle payment is now late and I will have to take a hit on my credit for not making my payment on time. This is why I paid cash in the first place.
*I needed ALL funds in my account on MONDAY morning
* I asked if funds would be taken out or pending in any way more than once and as specifically as I could, and was lied to.
* Had I been told the TRUTH about fees being charged to my debit card, I would have gone elsewhere as to not deal with the situation I am now in.
She told me that there was nothing she could do and gave me the card to her manager.
I called the manager and explained the situation. The manager then assured me (again) that there should not be any pending charges, but if there were, they should drop off of my account before that Monday morning. If not, she would fax something to my bank.
Unfortunately, faxing something to my bank is not going to persuade them to release the pending funds as that is against their policy.
The fact of the matter is that it is now 2:00 pm on Monday afternoon and the pending charge is still on my account, leaving me $80 short of making my vehicle payment. Any fax to my bank is useless and a rediculous way to try to solve a problem that your hotel caused.
Your clerk was allowed to lie to me and her manager did nothing to solve my issue. I know that complaining doesn't do much, but I thought it should come to someone's attention that there might need to be a policy regarding questions about check-inn fees and debit cards.
has no family values!
This past weekend ( Feb. 9-10) I had to go to a hockey tournament for my daughter. The team had to book before we got the schedule, and the days inn has a policy that teams are to book for 2 nights minimum.
We had 2 games Friday and 1 game Saturday early afternoon, so we checked out on Saturday and were told that we had to pay for 2 nights, apparently this is the policy as the town is very busy yet the smart members opted out and booked through the internet at a lower rate! Even though that was an option the person who signed the contract for the team said if we do that they (Days Inn) will cancel the rooms! I am on disability and $100.00 ++ dollars is a lot to throw away. I ask all that read this avoid Days Inn (part of the Ramada chain I believe) and deal with people that understand family values.

I will never ever stay at another days inn hotel as long as I live!
I had the most horrible experience at the Days Inn in Rocklin California! On the weekend of 01/5/07 I visited the Days Inn in Rocklin California with my 69 yr old mother and my 69 year old godmother. We were refused a downstairs room even though I expressed the fact that I had 2 senior citizens accompanying me. We had even received the senior discount on the Days Inn website which should have been a "red flag" that we would need a downstairs room! Both of the senior ladies have problems with their legs and knees. The walking up and down the stairs only exasperated their health issues and one of them has severe asthma! Later on in the evening hotel management knocked on our door to say that he had received complaints that we were making too much noise and he threatened to put us out(it was approx 12am)!This was after we had already paid for the weekend. The manager then returned again being extremely rude and pointing his finger in my face threatening to call the police (which he never did). I felt extremely belittled and degraded and I feared for the safety of my family. I will never ever stay at another Days Inn Hotel as long as I live! I really feel that we were treated this way because we were three women travelers. The hotel managers' aggressive behavior was most uncalled for. The fact that this hotel had no concern for the safety nor convenience of its' senior clientele was also quite disturbing to me. To make matters worse, I found what looked like urine stains on several towels when I held them up to the light and there were problems flushing the toilet to boot!

In June of 2004, my husband , my 2 twenty+ year old sons, and I stayed at this same Days Inn in Rocklin,California. We all traveled down for the wedding of our daughter(the boys younger sister). We booked into this hotel online-2 rooms for 3 days(it was several hundred dollars). What did we get for this? Bed sheets with holes, Small bath towels that were so rough that a corn cob would have seemed soft by comparison. The carpets were so filthy that the bootom of your feet would turn black -UGH! No food services, and telephones that you could not make even a local call on after 9 P.M. And nobody in the hotel that could speak or understand english with any degree of expertise. The ONLY thing it had going for it was that it was easy to find The Brenner Family Ranch in Newcastle, California, where the wedding was held. Otherwise, I have nothing positive to say about this place!
loud noise all night long
I stayed at the Days Inn Sacramento on 10/28/06. The people in the room next to me were loud all night long. I called the front desk to complain at 12:30 am, 2 am, and 3:45 am. I was told secrity was sent over to talk to them but the partying did not stop until 4:30 am. Needless to say I did not get much sleep that night. I have written emails to my travel booking agent, the corporate office and the hotel itself. I have heard nothing back yet. I feel they should have put me in another room or kicked those people out if they were not going to sleep. I am also asking for a complete refund.
