I was lured off dating.com to WhatsApp to be scammed for money. A popular member Maria 44 years old told me that she was catching a flight to come and see me. I gave her my phone number which I shouldn’t have done. She told me I was the only one for her. She contacted me on WhatsApp the next day and said she was in Colombia and she said she is from Venezuela. She informed me on WhatsApp that she missed her flight. She claimed to need $134 dollars to be able to catch a new flight. I think it was $134. I don’t give money out to people I haven’t met. She contacted me until I told her I couldn’t give her any money. So be aware of Maria on dating.com. I have the screenshots to prove it.

But claims to help keep updates, "anti-scamming software" and pay employees while also charged almost 25 bucks for "credits" that are eaten up quickly. "Matches" appear to be fresh off the catwalk. Several reviews have stated some "matches" are actually scammers and bots with stolen photos from REAL people in real life but with different names in real life than the ones on this dating site. They get paid billions from people all over the world without offering proper sales packages. Several reviews also state the site does not allow you to cancel the fake membership which charges monthly and as stated before. Offers no real membership packages. Huge red flags with this company. Huge red flags. Even some 5 star reviews seem to be suspicious and lies. Talking to a few real people on the site they have stated the same. The site appears to have a lot of fake profiles, bots or scammers and "matches" that look unrealistic. Almost to good to be true type of unrealistic. Which prompts them to question if someone is real when they message a potential match.

On May 9th I was sent a chat request from Francesco, 44 lives in Rome, Italy. Pictures that were and are still on the dating.com website are not the person on the dating website. The person in the pictures are of a model from Santa Catarina, Brazil. All personal information provided by Francesco is the same information as the person in the photos. Both are from Brazil, same age, both have 2 kids 13 & 16, education PHD, businessman, etc. person on dating.com has been keeping me chatting with promises of meeting and being in love and just never stops with the romantic talk. But this person never gets off of the website- he is on the website 24 hours a day. I felt at times it was a team of different people. Very aggressive and down on women, rude and dismissive behavior. It has been a very traumatic experience and I want to speak to customer service about this fake profile!

I met this guy on there who claimed to be a lawyer and he told me he loved me and wanted to marry me. We talked for about a month, but something just didn't feel right. I asked him to come off the site and talk to me, but he said he didn't have a cell phone. How can a lawyer not have a cell phone? He said he was going to order one, but it never came. He wouldn't even email me, which is weird because if someone loves you and wants to marry you, they should trust you with their email.

I have emailed all email contacts letting them know the matter but no reply and still can’t get this resolved, I have reported fraud to my bank i bank with and is under investigation! Alvaro B. is indeed fake a fake profile on the dating.com website. I’ve found a number of searches based on his pictures which turns out as I suspected he is a fake person. He is a model and not the person as described in his profile. On his profile it states he is in banking which is a complete lie. It also states he is from Barcelona, Spain which is another lie. He sent me a video to lure me into continue chatting with him in the site which turns out he is speaking in Portuguese rather than in Spanish which is his native language.

I was scammed into believing this person was actually real and wasted a lot of money chatting with this person, to find out he is actually a fake person who has no interest in connecting with anyone but instead of luring someone to continue paying currency to chat with him. I wasted money and my energy.

It’s ridiculous that I have to deal with this when I joined the app mid May of 2023 and only being on the site less than 2 weeks. Immediately Alvaro started love booming me and talking about how he was only interested in me yet wouldn’t connect with me on a real level.

This dating app is a complete scam and a waste of my time. I requested my account deactivated, deleted and unsubscribe. Yet nothing has been done. A report has already been made to the Better Business Bureau with Alvaro B. picture and profile information with the website URL.

I also request a full refund immediately for the time I wasted being lured into this dating app with fake profiles. His profile is a fake profile. He is indeed a real person but not the person I’ve been chatting with.
