Couchsurfing International review: Fee charged via email for account verification

I have made an account on Couchsurfing. Cuple of days after i have received an email about verification. In the email there was no information in the email what the verification of the account entails. No info about payment or any kind of subscruiption. I havecliked on the link thinking I am only verifying account and entered my data, I was charged 70 euros without me consentint to it. I have wrore the support to issue a refund, because I never consetnted to that. They have refused and didn't refer my issue to person responsible. I : nd. According to European Union Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011:

"If you bought a product or a service online or outside of a shop (by telephone, mail order, from a door-to-door salesperson), you also have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification."ave stated that this behaivoir is uneccaptable by the European law"- I am residing in Romania, and this law applies. It has nothing to do with comapny policies. Next thing, if I am not refunded, I will report this to Bureau of Consumer Protection as a fraud.
