We're pretty sure that if Mastercard showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Mastercard and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

Mastercard - fraudulent charge on my Merrick Bank credit card, a MasterCard.

12/1/22 I got a text from Merrick Bank that a purchase of more than $200 was put on my cc. I called MB and told them I did not make this charge; it was fraudulent and they said it was pending and they would take care of it, The charge went through, taking me over my credit limit. I called MB back. They increased my credit line by $1,000, which impacted my...

Mastercard MasterCard Fraud prevention line

Today 8/5/23 I lost my Emblem Mastercard. I logged onto my account to obtain customer service number to report my lost card. The number for customer service had a recording saying closed & reopen Monday. Due to the issue I panic & Googled a number for Master Card lost cards. The representative informs me she has to connect me to an Missouri bank for my card. Upon identifying myself with the said person. The call disconnects. No call back. I had to call them back (even though they took my number for that reason or so she says). I think the MasterCard Fraud prevention line reps @

[protected] are scammers praying on the already frustrated customers. This is very unprofessional practice. Now I believe not only did I lose my card (my fault ofc & never lost any card in my life before). I also had my identity stolen by these MasterCard reps. Very disappointed

Desired outcome: MasterCard Rep supervisor should of addressed the issue (asked for one, they refused me) or that for future calls they actually call the customer back with an explanation of the disconnet call.

Mastercard Sam’s club mastercard

In February 2023, I disputed a charge on my MasterCard for $2,500, with a money recovery firm. MasterCard issued me a $2,500 provisional credit. They said all the merchant had to do to re-bill the funds was say that they’d done work on the case. I advised the merchant exactly what MasterCard had told me and the merchant re-billed me, I repaid. That was 8 days after the provisional credit was issued. There were only credits to my account between the 2 dates, no purchases. Last month (April 4, 2023) MasterCard send me a letter stating I owed the $2,500. They re-billed me that amount. I’ve spent countless hours on this, they can see all my activity and they see the payment (even sent me a copy of the merchant’s paid in full), but they’re still saying they sent the re-bill on April 4th. Now they say that on May 22, 2023 they’ll start charging interest on my balance which has been paid. April statement said “0.00” balance. Where’s the provisional credit, if the balance hasn’t been paid? I have had this credit card for several years and I don’t think I’ve EVER been charged interest before.

I have already faxed MasterCard a 18-page copy of all my account activity (with notes), statements, merchant receipts and have filed a complaint with the BBB. Anything else you can do to help (or advise)? Thanks!

Desired outcome: The $2500 balance is removed before any interest is added on.

Mastercard Flexible payment dates and bank take over an increase monthly payments by triple the amount for minimum payments

This Is done by Republic Bank with their head office in Trinidad and Tobago. The Master Card is purchase from the US Branch in Florida. Republic Bank take over Scotia Bank in Anguilla an increase minimum credit card payment by tripling the amount the customers was paying before and changing payment dates but then the dates or not staying the same. It is flexible for example this month the date for is the 15, the next month the 12 and so forth. Also, they are telling you to get a loan to pay the debt if you can’t afford the payments when they triple the pays on the customers. In addition to that they stop paper billing ang you have difficulty getting on their app to check your account. When you call them they let you know they will send a temporary code to change the password. The code never send. When you write for an explanation you never getting one to the question asked. Need your help.

Mastercard Comenity bank mastercard BJ’s

I have a credit card with Comenity Bank Mastercard. They have had computer problems for 2 months. They instantly post charges, but they haven’t posted my payments for the past 2 billing cycles. The first month they charged me a late fee and an interest fee because they posted my payment after the due date even though they received 6 days in advance of the payment due date. They reimbursed the late fee and the interest fee because of their error. Now they are doing it again with the current billing cycle. My bill paying service says Comenity received my payment on August 2, 2022. Today is the due date and my payment has not been posted. You have to sit waiting hours for someone to answer the phone just to tell us that they have not received my payment even though my bank has proof that they did receive the payment. I need help to resolve this nightmare. What or who can help me?

Desired outcome: I want my payments posted and I would restitution for causing my health to decline during the time of trying to get them to post my payments on time.

Mastercard Barclay mastercard

Starting 3/10/22 I contacted my Barclay card, Fax [protected], concerning a telemarketing scam with Options Travel Group. I requested a full refund of $13,194 since we did not receive the main 2 things promised in our contract: expanded travel services starting 2022 (75,000 points yearly), and cancellation of our 3 timeshares with their monthly and yearly fees.

2 new Barclay RCI Elie Mastercards were opened in 2021. These amounts are the only purchases on the 2 cards.

We paid an additional $849.00, billed within 30 days for the 2021 First Year Membership Fee for 75,000 points for limited travel. (see Options Travel Trust Enrollment Agreement). This was paid with a separate credit card at a different time and received.

Options Travel Group and their agencies (Integrity Group) did not cancel our 3 timeshares as promised, (this was paid for separately later as well with a different card, $3,900 but was refunded) but instead advised me to simply not pay the timeshares and write letters of cancellation. When I received collection letters, in March, I knew we had been scammed. In addition, I received an email in December of 2021 from RCI Travel informing us that they had canceled their agreement with Options Travel Group and would not accept any travel requests for any of Option Travel’s members in 2022 and beyond. At that point in March, I contacted Options Travel Group (Jessica Rostro, [protected], [protected]@myoptionstravel.com), who said No, I would have to dispute it with my credit card. I called Barclay Mastercard and disputed the purchase. In June I received letters from Barclay saying they would not refund the purchase, that they determined that Options Travel Group had fulfilled their contract in the first year, 2021. We were not satisfied with this outrageous outcome and sent additional information to show the legitmacy of this dispute as well as request a partial refund instead. I recently received a letter saying no again, too much time has passed, which is totally unfair. I had paid $6000+ in February, right before I disputed the charge in March 2022. Since then the remainder has been paid on the 2nd card. Recently, Options Travel Group is now saying they had a contract with Interval International at the time I called 3/10/22 and in that way they have fulfilled their contract. This also is false - I contacted Interval International and they said they only work with Agencies that have actual properties, not points.

We are willing to accede the value of the one week timeshare for this purchase. We paid the First year separately, $849.00. for 75,000 travel points. The annual RCI fee listed on the Disclosure Statement is $124 that Options Travel Group said they gave to us. $124 is more correct according to the contract, but we are wiling to accede up to a total of $2631.00 (minus $849), the comparative value of top timeshares in 2022 in Kissimmee FL. $13,194 is inaccurate, unreasonable and fraudulent for the travel services for one timeshare, the first year limited use only in 2021, paid for separately. The contract specifies 75,000 points Annually on the Trust Purchase Proposal. Following pages note the Third Use Year, annually recurring fees, obtaining points yearly, and Membership Fees related to each Use Year. This contract was not for one year. If you google Options Travel Group complaints, you will see others that have been scammed out of money just like I have. It is unconscionable for Barclay Mastercard to side with this scam. They also have a number of complaints for not refunding fraudulent charges.

Desired outcome: Refund of $11,412 , $13,070, or total refund of $13,194 for the value of this purchase.

Mastercard Reporting a scam, sabb closed case which was not properly handled.

Reporting a scam, SABB closed case which was not properly handled.

On Thursday, 2022-02-24 I received a called, (showing on mobile screen GOV. SA which is the same number that shows when receiving governmental information/notifications within Saudi Arabia.)

And started speaking with a Mohamoud Al Ahti on +[protected]. He informed me his from Saudi Government office, to call and get everyone to update one system which will read from Multiple Servers in Saudi Arabia.

List of all my services links I used and have within Saudi Arabia:

• Absher (is a smartphone application which allows citizens of and residents in Saudi Arabia to use a variety of governmental services)

• MOI (Ministry of Interior - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)

• MOL (Ministry of Labour, Saudi Arabia)

• STC (Saudi Telecommunication Center, mobile and internet provider)

• SABB (Saudi British Bank)

• SNB (Superior National Bank)

Note Mohamoud Al Ahti already had all my personnel details along with relevant server’s accounts, information along with bank accounts, account numbers, mobile phone numbers, passwords, etc. on hand while speaking to me. That’s why I did not give it a give it second thought that this is not legit call, until it was too late.

After running through each account, where I had to confirm information/details he was mentioning although he already had but needed me to confirm so he could update system on government portal.

When I started to see I was getting SMS from bank and next thing transfers are going out, I questioned, and he said that’s the system that is withdrawing and will reset within 30min. confirmed that funds would be returned as available before. I started to argue with him and by this time realized I was being scammed/hacked.

Got off the phone and drove not far to my bank SABB branch in Al Murjan District, King Road, Jeddah. I spoke to Mr. Hattan A. Abozenadah and explained the whole story that just transpired. He immediately informed me to call SABB Emergencies number [protected] to block my credit card. Mr. Hattan A. Abozenadah dialed the number from my phone to skip all the Arabic and English choice, to ensured I was put through to the right department.

I spoke to a SABB emergency representative and explained I was scammed/hacked and needed too blocked my credit card. In return, he informed me Credit card was blocked and also informed me to call back in 3 days’ time to open a fraud case before they can start investigation. He also confirmed transaction (not approved by me) were still reflecting in the system but are blocked by credit card division while waiting for release. Immediately I told him, NOT TO RELEASE the funds as I was Hacked. Even Mr. Hattan A. Abozenadah was with me when I was talking to the SABB emergency representative who issued a Blocked Ref No. [protected].

After the call made to block credit card, Mr. Hattan A. Abozenadah advice to bring the Police report so he and start the Fraud case process. But could only do that after 3 days, found it very strange but abide by the bank’s requirements.

As soon as I left SABB, I went straight to Al Murjan District, Jeddah, police station. As I arrived at the police station, asked to see an officer to report a case for scamming/hacking my bank account along with other accounting system I use. I got to speak to Captain Maher and I informed him everything as discussed at SABB. He informed me that I would need to bring back a bank Statement of account showing those transactions taken place unlawfully along with correspondence made with Hacker. (I even had a voice recording my wife made when she tried to call Mohamoud Al Ahti and only getting hold of him 3rd time calling.) At the police station they informed me (that due to hacking done through credit card, banks are protected, and I should be able to get my missing funds back.) Unfortunately, due to the time of day, the banks were already closed, and Friday & Saturday banks are not open.

On Sunday, 2022-02-27 I went first thing that morning before 08:30 through to SABB where they only opened at 09:00 to request for a statement of account as requested by police. While Mr. Hattan A. Abozenadah was arranging necessary statement printout and while was waiting for him. I called SABB Emergencies number [protected] again to know if transaction funds were still available (as discussed to SABB emergency representative on Thursday, 2022-02-24 with SABB) as advised by the credit card division. He notified Credit Card was blocked, and transaction reflecting are still on hold but would only be released later that day. I was not furious as I made it very clear NOT TO RELEASE FUNDS as I was told to call back in 3 days’ time to open a Fraud Case. SABB emergency representative told me there is nothing he can do now but once fraud case was opened investigation would start.

Still angry with his response, I requested to open a Fraud Case Reference REQ-2022-[protected] and advised I must wait min 7 to 21 days during the investigation.

Note I have been waiting a month (calling weekly / follow up) asking for notification when the case will be resolved and same reply always “still waiting and need to wait at least minimum of 21 days, from date opened Fraud case number”.

I carried on speaking to Mr. Hattan A. Abozenadah informing him what was said at the police station that (due to hacking done through credit card, banks are protected, and I should be able to get my missing funds back.) He said, that is usually the case and even asked me to show him my actual credit card to check. He said my credit card I have is Titanium and a higher quality card then a standard credit card. This would ensure to help speed up the investigation process.

This morning Sunday, 2022-03-27 received a message from SABB advising that my fraud case reference REQ-[protected] has been completed. Not clearly understanding why message mentioned nothing else. I called SABB emergency representative that morning and was advised that the case was closed as they found the funds were approved in full. Now you can imagine my anger! I asked him again, so what are they going to do about this (as I was told before that due to hacking was done through credit card, banks are protected, and I should be able to get my missing funds back.) He said I would have to send official complaint through SABBNet or call.

I immediately created a letter similar to this one and forward complaint to [protected]@sabb.com.

This is totally unacceptable as I was hacked, and all transactions made on the 24th of February 2022 were not made by me. I did everything ask from me by the bank where I was told by SABB emergency representative to call back in 3 days before fraud case would be opened. I followed every instruction given to me by the bank, employees, SABB emergency representative, even the police.

I went back to the SABB branch in Al Murjan District, King Road, Jeddah to report this closure. I asked to speak to management and spoke to Ms. Nora Hasan Al Zahrani. She recognized me immediately, as she remembered me as she was also present when I first came to report I was hacked. I explained what happened earlier that morning regarding message received and the call made to SABB emergency representative their response.

Ms. Nora Hasan Al Zahrani advised me that the branch cannot do anything as this is all done through Riyadh headquarters. I let her know this is unprofessional and agreed with me and told me to send a complain to SAMACares. sa which she assisted me with it.

I signed up with SAMACares and created a complaint and submitted. Received email confirming

(Dear Customer, your case number [protected] is registered against The Saudi British Bank. They will process it and reply to you within 5 working days.

For more information, please visit SAMACares. sa or call [protected])

Ms. Nora Hasan Al Zahrani also advise me to try and forward complaints to Master Card division and Apple Pay.

I Urge that you look into this Fraud Case Ref REQ-[protected] and hopefully return funds stolen.

Thank you in advance and look forward to receiving your soonest response at your earliest convenience.

Desired outcome: My email address [protected]@gmail.com

Mastercard Paypal blames mastercard for financial responsibility.

PayPal Debit Card Services supervisors inform me that their employee mis-filed a goods/services not received claim as unauthorized payment and they are unable to re-process it due to MasterCard's rules. I have a business account.

Mastercard Credit card regulations

I own a MasterCard issued through Capitol One. In the first half of 2019 I had authorized a reoccurring donation to The David Pakman Show. In July 2019 I contacted The David Pakman Show to stop my donations. This did not happen and my request was ignored. I contacted Capitol one to dispute the charges and they were refunded. The charges did not stop, and so I had to repeatedly dispute the charges. I asked capitol one to block the charge from occurring. Because it was a reoccurring charge, he told me the best they could do is a fifteen month block because of the rules set by MasterCard. This is a huge problem and absolutely absurd! It is my account, and I do not authorize the charge, and yet I cannot stop it. This charge happened again in February 2021 about as soon as the fifteen months was over from the first block. Again, I had to dispute the charge and block it again. I do not want a fifteen month block, I wanted a permanent block. Fifteen months was the best I could get. Now, on both 08/15/21 and 08/19/21the charge happened again. This happened despite, and only 6 months after the 15 month block. What is wrong with you guys? I have a legitimate problem, complaint, and request, but yet you can't do anything to stop this from happening again? MasterCard rules and regulations that do not allow me to stop reoccurring transactions are obviously put in place to benefit the Corporations and ignore the consumer. I even changed my card number after the first problem, and yet The David Pakman Show was able to access my completely new card number to continue drafting. MasterCard rules gave him my card number. I feel this as invasion of my personal property and I will definitely file a complaint against MasterCard with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency.

Desired outcome: I need to see the regulations changed to protect the consumer's privacy and bank accounts. If I wish to block a charge I should have the right to permanetly do so.

Mastercard Master Card advertising is racist

Your TV advertisements and website show 90 percent back people. They are 13 percent of the population. I have several accounts on MasterCard and will cancel them as soon as I have other accounts in hand. This includes several Capital One and American Airlines Citibank accounts. Your whole outreach is wasteful of our money and denigrates the white, hispanic and Asians who have by far greater numbers and are grossly under represented by you. The racist anti-white stupidity that hides Major League Baseball canceling Atlanta is alive and well in your offices. The voter integrity law passed overwhelming in Georgia is to insure as much fairness and accuracy in elections as possible and not to suppress voters as the leftist politicians and media have claimed. The in fact is more progressive than New York's. But your sponsored MLB went with the lie. My destroying my MC accounts will not effect you; but, your own mismanagement and stupidity will. I have that to comfort me knowing I won't wife and I will not be using approximately 8- 12 thousand a month on those cards for your profit to shame us for being working successful NON blacks.

Mastercard travel card deactivated

My Keytotheworld Master card is Deactivated.

I tried to withdraw the last $19Aus from my card and after many days of trying the Banks, ATM's and local shops to use up the last few dollars I was advised for no explained reason that the card is Deactivated

After calling the help line I was told that to re-activate the card I would have to e-mail over six forms of Identification and original receipts to Master card.

Rather than risk my Identity theft over the Internet with all my personal documentation I decided to let them keep the $19 and post this e-mail story all over Social Media.

Keytotheworld Mastercard also do SIM cards and Travel Insurance so good luck on any personal claims for compensation through to the Key to the World Master Card business.
