Consumer Portfolio Services review: Unprofessional Phone etiquette 5

I am tired of harassing phone calls and when I follow through with what I say I will do, they still call me and are very unprofessional by telling me they are going to do this or that and even when I explain I didn't have a specific person's extension to leave my confirmation number for the payment I made and that I left it with a certain person whos extention I did have and they can check with that person, Frank proceeded to tell me I better call him back before 5pm today with the confirmation number that he wasn't checking with Linda and then he hung up on me. I proceeded to call Frank back at extension 5830 and tell him he was not to hang up on me and I wanted to talk to his supervisor. When I was connected to the supervisor, of course, whatelse I got a voice mail and it has been an hour and fifteen minutes ago I left my information and phone number and no call from the supervisor yet. With things the way they are in the economy, I have made every effort to make the payments I make arrangements to make when I say I will and CPS needs to learn how to handle their customers with dignity and compassion, not everyone makes the type money they make and we are doing the best we can. Just be more professional and talk to people like they are someone and not try to belittle them because they are behind on a payment and having a hard time to catch up. We the (customer) are people too.

Harrassing phone calls is illegal - they know it and they know you DO NOT NOT!
www.budhibb.com is a consumer advocate website that specializes in debt collection issues.

THEY ARE DEBT COLLECTORS
The more obnoxious they are the less likely it is a valid bill in the first place.

They use scare tactics and harrassment to get you pay for things you probably did not owe anyway.

NEVER SPEAK WITH DEBT COLLECTORS - ALWAYS LETTERS
CERTIFIED MAIL RETURN RECEIPT.
Keep good notes and check your state laws about recording calls.
Not all states require that you inform of recording calls.

I am 24 yrs old and purchased a car through a great company but crappy CPS. My payments are due on the 15th and i was late one day and they called and told me they were coming to get it. my payments have NEVER been late and continue to pay a "service fee" of 17.50 and a 10.00 processing fee. I am a single mother of two and that adds up to over 400 dollars now. where is that money going? why is not being applied to my loan? how can i get out of this? they continue to tell me that its not there fault my credit is bad or i am going through a bad time, its all on me. the threats have to stop, harrassment has to end and we all have to do something. do not buy from CPS

Today I received a phone call from CPS regarding my August payment informed them that it would be paid on the 15th and the reprenstative informed that I was short on the last I told her i would sent the late payment today and she to ld me to remove all my belongs out of the car because it would be repo. I'm tired of being harrassed by CPS

I too have had the same exact problem with this company. I have come to the conclusion that this is a govt owned company. Because they break every law that can be broken and they are still in business, it leads me to believe that the govt set up this company to give the poorest of poor and those that struggle the most to pay their debts for whatever reason, a loan to get a car so they can continue to work. A person with a car is much more likely to be responsible then someone who doesn't have a car. If it wasn't a govt owned company there is no way they wouldn't have been sued. I would like to start a civil law suit. I would like to get everyone that has had any kind of bad experience with this company an opportunity to take part in this law suit. If you would forward me an email with what you have gone thru with this company and any contact info you feel comfortable sharing, I promise you I will do my best to expose these people in our court system. This company went into my daughters checking account a second month in a row, and took payment, even though they were told several times that they could only take one months payment. The lady then said to my daughter we will be taking next months payment as well. My daughter said no, they didn't have her permission to go in there any other time but the payment she was calling for. They went ahead and stole the money out of her account the next month without any kind of contact or permission. I too have suffered all the same phone harassment as well as having all my family members being told that they were coming to repo my car. Again, I will be shopping for an attorney and filing a class action law suit. If the govt is behind this, it needs to be exposed, if this is an American company doing business in America, then they need to abide by the laws in America and calling and threatening and stealing money from our accounts is not the way we do business in a law abiding country.
