Yahoo!email accounts sending out threatening demands for bitcoin

Review updated:

Hi There, My name is Chris Candy and I am the IT manager for the Mike Carney Toyota Group in Townsville QLD Australia. Our group have been receiving threatening emails from one of your users and we would like you to find this person and remove them from your email services then find their IP address and send it to the police.

The threatening emails are like so... see below.

I am well aware 2nerds is your password. Lets get right to point. You don't know me and you're probably thinking why you're getting this e mail? No person has paid me to check about you.

Let me tell you, I actually placed a malware on the adult videos (porn) site and guess what, you visited this web site to experience fun (you know what I mean). While you were viewing videos, your browser started out operating as a Remote Desktop having a keylogger which provided me access to your display screen and web camera. after that, my software gathered all of your contacts from your Messenger, Facebook, as well as emailaccount. Next I created a video. First part displays the video you were watching (you have a good taste omg), and 2nd part displays the view of your web camera, and its you.

You got 2 options. We will take a look at each of these options in particulars:

1st choice is to ignore this message. As a result, I am going to send out your actual recorded material to all of your personal contacts and consider about the awkwardness you feel. And consequently should you be in an intimate relationship, precisely how it will eventually affect?

Number 2 choice would be to compensate me $1000. We are going to refer to it as a donation.in this case, I will straightaway erase your videotape. You will keep daily life like this never happened and you surely will never hear back again from me.

You'll make the payment through Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search "how to buy bitcoin" in Google).

If you may be thinking of going to the law enforcement officials, anyway, this e-mail cannot be traced back to me. I have covered my moves. I am just not trying to ask you for money a lot, I only want to be rewarded.

You have one day in order to make the payment. I've a unique pixel within this mail, and right now I know that you have read through this email message. If I don't get the BitCoins, I will, no doubt send out your video recording to all of your contacts including members of your family, colleagues, and so on. Having said that, if I receive the payment, I will erase the video right away. If you need proof, reply Yes! and I definitely will send out your video to your 12 friends. It is a non:negotiable offer, that being said don't waste my time and yours by replying to this mail.

The users email addresses so far have been...

[protected]@yahoo. jp
[protected]@yahoo. jp
[protected]@yahoo. jp

These accounts have been blocked on our exchange server so the person just changes their email address to bypass the filter. My next option will be to block the entire yahoo. jp domain, This means any legitimate emails will not be delivered to our email accounts.

Dates in Australian Time when receiving these emails

1/10/2018 8.45am
2/10/2018 2.40am

If you could investigate these accounts and see if you can locate this wonderful human and pass his information across to the local authorities that would be fabulous.

Regards,
Chris Candy

I received the same email. Can you please remove this user? Maybe you should change your security system to screen for identity.
