T.J. Maxx my bag got sent home with another customer.

I was in the Danville, ky store as I am at least weekly. I purchased a purse, 2 pair of sandals and a necklace. I paid for my merchandise and when I got home I realized that I had left my bag. My receipt was of course in the bag. I was informed that my merchandise couldn't be replaced so I lost $97.
I have never been done this way. I work hard for my money. My email is [protected]@gmail.com
I would love to have my merchandise!

I spent $97. I got home and realized that I had left my bag at the store. When I returned I was informed that I would not be able to get my merchandise or $ back. Naturally my receipt was in the bag. I spend at least $600 a month at this location.

T.J. Maxx rude manager

When I was checking out today, March 31st 2017, at the TJ Maxx in Steubenville, OH. I decided to paid with cash first, then attempted to pay the rest with my card. After paying with cash, the card was approved. But then it showed a $13 balance. The cashier was confused & so was I. She called the manager over. The manager came walking over & asked what the problem was. The cashier & I were explaining what happened. She, then, put her hand up on my direction, as a way of telling me to stop talking. I become silent & in shock by how rude the manager was. She then began to talk at me by raising her voice. I could tell she was very stressed out & irritated, as I had to ask her to, "please calm down" at one point! She was confused by what happened on the register & said that it had to be something the cashier did. The poor cashier was adiment that she did everything how she was supposed to, but the manager blamed her. I was at the counter for 25 minutes. It turns out, the cashier rang up an item or two twice. The manager voided and rang items up, then printed receipts out, then she said she would have to return the items. I quietly said, "I hope I have enough on my card for all this because I don't have any other money." She then returned the items & then she said to try swiping my card. I did, it was declined. She, then, said to try paying with cash first again, then swipe my card. I did, it was declined. She then said, "sorry, you don't have the money to pay for the items." I said, "I did though, I just got paid today." She said, "well it's not our fault you didn't have enough money!" I said, "you know, you have been nothing but rude this whole time, please just give me money back." She then gets the money out of the register & says loudly, "you didn't have enough money on your account!" Embarrassed, I said, "I did have enough money, but I was charged too much. Please just give me my money, so I can go home. That's all the money I have..." She gave me the money while saying again that, "it's not our fault you came shopping with not enough money on your card." I grabbed the money & walked out. I have never in my life been treated so horrible by a sales associate & this woman is the MANAGER! This woman, the manager, is the face of TJ Maxx when customers come into that store. She has represented TJ Maxx in such a bad light. I always shop at TJ Maxx because I love the clothes, shoes, and other items, but this woman made my day & shopping trip a terrible experience. The fact that this woman, who obviously cannot deal with the pressure to be in a managerial position by treating customers poorly & blaming other employees, has been somehow promoted into a higher up at TJ Maxx is concerning! I do not think I will be returning to TJ Maxx & I hope, in the future, the company can take further measures to ensure that all managers have excellent skills in customer service and sales experience.

T.J. Maxx horrible customer service

Went to Home Goods store at Charlotte, NC. Applied for their credit card. The sales woman screwed up big time, she didn't apply the 10% while billing the items. She apologized, called for help, that guy did something, refunded some part of it (which we later came to know) and then again re-billed all those items. Took almost 30 mts. Finally she assured that everything was taken care of and we would be charged only for the last bill. In that mess and tiredness, I missed to verify the receipts. The refund was not tallying with the original purchase. When we got the credit card bill via mail, we were disappointed and took these to the store. That guy was far from courteous, treated us like thieves and wasn't ready to even listen. We were trying to point out even the time difference between the receipts - all are 4 mts apart. He was such a rude fellow. We were pissed and called the customer care. That person pretended to have understood the situation, atleast apologized for the behavior of that sales guy/manager. The solution he gave wasn't quite clear, he was asking me to fax the receipts. He didn't know all the info about fax either. Anyways, I am in deep ****, so much I know. I don't think I would ever feel like shopping with them. Such irritating irresponsible fellows. PLEASE DO NOT EVER APPLY FOR THEIR CREDIT CARD

T.J. Maxx returns

I purchased a $40.00 pair of shoes in the past two weeks wearing them for the first time Monday. I wore them from my door, to the car, then from my car to work, 75 yards, and removed them. My feet slid around so that I am not able to wear them. I attempted to return them today, and was told there was "too much wear to take them back". I have purchased a number of items from TJMaxx since the Eldersburg location opened late last year, and even have their credit card. The male manager recognizes me as a frequent visitor to the store. I am completely disappointed that my shoes could not be returned; I cannot wear them! Does anyone ever consider the "wear" that occurs in the store, on the dirty floor, with various people trying on, and ambulating in, the shoes? I do not plan on returning to TJMaxx for ANY purchases, and will share my dissatisfaction on local social media.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lehmann

T.J. Maxx credit card automatic closure

My card was closed to inactivity. Consequently, the closure affected my credit. I do not see the reason why the closure is necessary if my payments were always up to date, and whether I frequently use my card or not. This was extremely unexpected, and as a consequence, I do not feel I should continue purchasing products in any of your stores. I hope this can be resolved, either reopen my same account and make the appropriate notification to the credit bureau, or potentially lose my customer service and that of my family. I would understand if this was done to ensure payment or the like, but I always paid on time and shopped at your stores. Please contact me and let me know if we can resolve this, as I am not going to apply for another card with you.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Yadira

T.J. Maxx customer service

I went into the Pleasant Hill Store, California last evening, 2/19/17 at approximately 6:30 pm. My purpose was to return a textured leather backpack (handles attached with fabric) and purchase other household items. I stood in line approximately 20 minutes. I got to the register with receipt and tag for bag in hand. The return was within the stated 30 day return policy. After 2 wears the handles, as I feared, started coming apart at the handle. The clerk was processing the order when the manager, Stefka, intercepted and immediately started stating loudly that she couldn't accept the bag because it had been worn and she couldn't put it back on the floor. I pointed out to her that there was a quality/craftsmanship issue and showed her where the seams were pulling apart. I went on to explain that I just started using the bag within the last few day but could see the bag. The texture of the bag also lends itself to a distressed look. With the bag on the counter and an arm's length distance from her face, Stefka says very loudly states that the bag stinks and accuses me of having food in the purse. There are no soiled stains or any evidence to support her accusation. She refused to return the bag. Stefka was extremely unprofessional, antagonizing and provoking. I would like to return the item.

T.J. Maxx discrimination

I am contacting you to find out if in fact you are removing the Ivanka Trump clothing line or no longer purchasing her products.

I would appreciate you stores discrimination policies on political views. This does seem to be all about politics. It is very disappointing to find that anyone would be punished for their political views. Since this can not be seen as anything other than political.

Middle American voted our president in to office. MIddle America shops at designer stores for less kinds of stores. I would hope you would remember your main clientele.

I have shopped at these stores for over fifty years. My husband was very happy to hear that you were going to boycott IT clothing line, since this would prohibit me from shopping in these stores in the future.

Do not discriminate against any person because of their political views.

#buyivanka

No one can prove that the items that were removed weren't removed for profit and sales reasons. I used to work for an online retailer (I left about a year ago) that decided to discontinue selling Trump Home products in November. Many people were upset thinking that it was politically motivated. While I can't say the timing may not have a relation, the products sold horribly due to quality/price. They should have been removed years ago based upon poor performance alone. After several years working there (before he even got into politics), I had seen very few items (out of 100+) sold over approximately five years.

While neither you nor I can say if this decision was politically motivated, you cannot truly believe that she is not involved in politics. She has voiced approval of her father, moved to Washington, and her husband works for the president directly. Additionally she has given up control of her company which shows that even she acknowledges that she has a conflict of interest.

T.J. Maxx unethical, bad practice

I am completely appalled and disgusted with the latest news that tjmax and marshals decided to allow politics into their stores. Have you lost your minds? What are you thinking? Ivanka trump is an intelligent, successful, classy woman who has an amazing line of clothes at an affordably price! Whose grand idea was it to "stop promoting ivanka trump's products and throw away the in-store signs endorsing her product". Did you really think this would promote sales and revenue? Biased political views do not belong in retail. You are serving to all races, ethnicities, genders etc. Did you not think that half of your clientele are most likely on the other side of your views? What the heck does ivanka have to do with your political nonsense? You are foolish immature snobs! I am a professional, intelligent woman who takes insult to this. I have patronized your stores for 30+ years, but no more! You have lost 1000's of loyal customers and you should be ashamed of yourselves! This was a bad move people and I sincerely hope that the person or person (S) who came up with this genius idea are fired and a national public apology is made. Until then... Ciao!

You can't prove that the move to discontinue the Ivanka Trump products was only politically motivated. Political or not, they are a business first and foremost and had to have determined that the most beneficial decision for profit was to remove the items. It is very possible and likely that the products did not sell well. Even if it was a political move, they would not have made it unless it made somewhat business sense. From what I have seen in reviews prior to the election, her items did not sell that well and/or did not have the best reviews.

In regards to your complaint, in my experience, a "professional, intelligent woman" would probably not refer to a store as "FOOLISH IMMATURE SNOBS!" just because they stopped selling a product line for whatever reason.

T.J. Maxx ivanka trump line - tjx stay out of politics

Stay out of politics! Sell merchandise! We don't need your political stance. I shop your stores WEEKLY for years and refuse to continue to give you my hard earned money. You corporate elitist didn't learn from Target as their stock has plummeted costing the company billions! You are disrespecting half of your customer base. Does TJX believe only Democrats shop in your stores? Yet you don't see past your nose that the other half of your customers will be disgusted by your political maneuver to discredit her line. Good luck with your democratic shoppers because you will lose a huge part of your republican customers! Ivanka is a class act as is her line of clothes! Totally disgusted by TJ Maxx!

You cannot prove this was politically motivated. Clearly it made business sense for them to discontinue the product line. I know of other companies that discontinued Trump products that saw either no impact or a positive impact on sales.

Based on your logic, if they hadn't removed the products 50% of people would have left anyways.

T.J. Maxx unethical behaviour on behalf of your political judgement!

I am appalled of your political involvement with your stores and as I am concerned you are trying to push this on the American people! I will not shop at any stores including yours which are discontinuing Ivanka's products and I will also encourage as many people as I can to do the same!
I support a strong woman who has established herself in the business world and you should too! She shouldn't be dismissed because her dad is president and you don't like him! We the people elected him and that tells me you don't care about the American people! I love her clothes and I will support Ivanka as a role model for the American women!
Sincerely,
Michelle McGrath

You cannot prove that the move to discontinue her products was politically motivated. Clearly it made sales and profit sense to remove the line otherwise they would not have done it. In regards to her dismissal because of her father, she herself has removed herself from the company due to her political associations. She has moved to Washington, voiced her support of a political candidate, and has a husband that is a consultant to the president.

T.J. Maxx dropping ivanka trump's line

I am so disappointed in your company. I am 43 years old and have been shopping at your store since I was 15 years old. To think that you would make a political decision regarding a fashion line is absurd! You should be ashamed of yourself. What did Ivanka Trump ever do to you? Half of this country voted for Donald Trump. That means half of your customers voted for Donald Trump. To make a spineless decision like this is disgraceful. Why does everyone have to pick a side?. Aren't we all Amercians?
Can't we have different views and opinions and still be respectful of each other? This is a huge mistake and one you will regret. I for one will not be shopping at the stores that I absolutely LOVE due to your appalling decision. I am hopeful that you will reconsider your decision. Until then, you will be losing thousands of dollars from me and I am sure many, many other consumers. Your decision is just plan wrong and un-American. Such a shame!

T.J. Maxx ivanka trump

I am outraged at the hypocrisy of your company. If your decision is not politically motivated then you must take the general population for fools. It is a shame that your company cowers to the liberal left. Remember that the people who purchase at your stores are the same hardworking people who are fed up with the liberal left. I will certainly make sure that everyone that I know, including my wife, who purchases and spends a lot in your stores, will no longer set step in your stores until you get your act together. Shame on you.

A few things. There's a list of things we can or can't feature. "Feature" means put on a display rack or on a certain fixture. We can still carry brands we don't feature. And if we do feature something that isn't supposed to be featured, our store could get in trouble. This list can be comprised of requests from certain brands, with specific rules like "don't feature Nike products alongside under armor products", and some of the items on the list are from corporate. Not ALL brands are on this list. We do still have Ivanka's clothing in our stores, it just might not be featured. Also, in some cases, the head manager can decide what the want featured or not with brands that aren't on the list.

I totally disagree with TJMaxx decision to stop selling Ivanka Trump's clothing line. This has nothing to do with my liking or disliking her clothes or her father it has everything to do with the fact that she has the right to have a business and people have the right to buy or not buy her goods and her father's politics should have nothing to do with it. No one would have done this to Chelsea Clinton if she had a clothing line when her father was impeached would they? I think this is a punitive action against the president in the extreme and its sickens me to see just how divisive this country has become. You just lost a really good customer TJ Maxx.

Dear TJMAXX, Nordstrom, and other like companies: I am glad you took this action. You probably did it for typical commerce reasons, and that's fine. But Americans should not ignore that fact that the Trump family is doing all kinds of business out of the White House. I am ashamed that some good people have put their own ethics and morality in a blind trust so that they can continue to support unsavory politicians and their relatives with a conscience unburden by any sense of what is right. T.J. Maxx removing ivanka trump lines

I dont appreciate you giving in to leftist hate groups screaming at you and threatening you since November. In particular, you have carried Ivanka Trump shows en masse since 2006, and suddenly cutting ties.
Your behavior is obvious, and if the backbone you have cannot handle the wishes of your consumers in light of political rioters, i wish you well in standing up to the consumers of America who will give you their feedback with their pocketbooks (NOT spending in your stores anymore) your retailers have been anong my favorites and heavily patronized by me- middle class white woman, college-educated and small business owner. Discrimination is disgusting, and TJMaxx, Marshalls and Homegoods (and i will research all associated retailers) has lost my business.
And, lol im a spender.i wonder how much those who have screamed at threatened "you", have actually spent

T.J. Maxx unethical behaviour

Date of Incident: Sunday, January 20, 2017
Time: 6:30-8:00pm
Location: TJ Maxx Richardson Heights
Richardson, Texas
Employees Involved: 1 men and 1 women from Loss Prevention (Employees did not want to provide name) **Loss Prevention woman was extremely rude**

Last night, I went shopping to TJ Maxx like any other weekend. I like to look around the entire store because it's my favorite store. I saw some ties that I wanted to purchase for my husband. However, I did not make the purchase and I put them away.

As soon as I am walking out, the Loss Prevention officer stops me and tells me I have to go with him back in to the store. The woman loss prevention officer followed behind me. The woman was so rude and asked me where the ties were. She immediately accused me of stealing. I pointed at them and l showed her where I had put the ties away. These officers falsely accused of me stealing merchandise. It was embarrassing, humiliating, and it made me deeply upset to the point where I was crying. These officers didn't even apologize. Everyone else at the store was looking at me.I called my husband crying and I was in the parking lot for 30 minutes before I was okay to drive back home. In these types of situation, you cannot make a mistake and you have to prove to blame someone of theft.

The worst part is that TJ Maxx is my favorite store. I am maxxinista. I even have a credit card with your store. I do all my Christmas shopping and even buy my work clothes there. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I think you should reconsider the people that you have working at that location. I do not want anybody to experience such a horrible incident if they do not deserve it.

I tried calling the store directly but I had no luck filing a complain. All they could do is transfer me to Loss Prevention. I did not want to speak them.

As a hospitality management professional that I am, I would like for you to know that these types of employees will destroy your reputation and will bring your sales down.

You can find my TJ Maxx credit card profile under [protected]@hotmail.com. I would like a follow up regarding this incident. Thank you!

T.J. Maxx clothing returns (tj maxx fountain valley ca)

I took a shirt back to the store in Fountain Valley CA that was purchased for me during the holidays that was too small. The original price of it was $12.99 - it had it on the label. I did not have the receipt, it was a gift. I wanted to exchange it for a bigger sized shirt or store credit, so I could replace it with something that fitted me. The manager wasn't interested in finding a larger sized shirt (why? She didn't even look?) and informed me that she could only give me store credit for $4.39 for the sale price of the garment, or alternately, I could simply "keep the shirt" that was too small for me?

Terrible service and awful policy. I understand the issues of price vs sales price but that shirt is now going to be resold and I'm the only loser here! Not wanting to waste a journey to the store I felt obliged to "buy something: on sale, so bought a pair of sweatpants for $10.00. I went to simply exchange a shirt that had been paid for in-full and I ended up spending money at TJ Maxx that I had no intention of spending.

Couldn't the shop assistant or manager find a better solution, rather than giving me $4.39 back for a shirt that was clearly bought for $12.99? I would've been happy with a bigger size but they didn't even bother seeing if there was one?

T.J. Maxx return an item unpleasant experience

Just wanted to share a very unpleasant experience that I encountered today on 01/13/17 at tj max department store located on skokie blvd in northbrook, il. I was trying to return a brand new, unworn, with all tags attached trousers that I was given as a gift for christmas. I did not have a receipt for. The cashier by name marya was very unfriendly to start with. After I approached her and said hello she never greeted me back. When I explained that I need to return this item she silently scanned the item and announced that this item is not in the system and must be bought more then a year ago. I asked if it can be taken back for a store credit. Her response was "no way". I asked for a manager and when the manager by name mimi came, marya presented my case to mimi in an unfortunate way. Then mimi had nothing but to confirm that this item cannot be return in any possible way and I have to take it back home. So all together I had a horrible experience with these 2 sales reps and left the store with the feeling that I never ever want to come back to tj max for any shopping needs because I don't want to experience another attitude like this one.
I think one of the priorities for sales reps is to be nice to customers and be trying hard to help them with their needs to satisfy them and make them feel wanting to come back again and again. I'm sure in my case they could of make an exception and take this item back for a store credit like marshalls store could do it for me in exact same situation just a few days ago. And as much as I know tj max and marshalls have the same policies.
Indeed, the quality of our life is in hands of people we encounter.

T.J. Maxx clothing

I don't appreciate how the sales rep in tj maxx on forhdam went about it with me returning item which I handed my id to her due to me not having the receipt. She took a while for me to come back and when she did she came back with another lady which she said we can't accept your item cause it's not scanning and then she said item doesn't match the tag when that's how I purchased it so that mean they sold me the wrong item that didn't match the tag and everything was attached so it wasn't like I did it myself. You guys need to do better especially at this tjmaxx I'm a loyal customer and this incident disgust me. So what I did I went to another location and guess what they took it with no problem the sales rep asked for my ID and put my refund on a gift card. You guys need more staff that's gonna follow the procedures and policies cause how the manager Valarie went about it and the sales rep was wrong. So they was in the wrong from the start. That site needs to be inspected with a secret shopper. A lot of staff doesn't greet you when shopping there and managers as well also they don't even ask if you need any help you in there. I see I slot due to me being a loyal customer
