Home Depot harassment racial profiling

Wood was cut, but one piece was the right measurment.I complained, Was told by tammy the wood was on her, meaning free.Instead of just recuting the three sheet's of wood to measurement.I should of got this all recut.I had to wait a few hour's while everyone else got the wood cut and it was one sheet.i also had security walking around me and my daughter like i was at fault for this.I want to point out my daughter is 10, Autistic and also half Caucasian I'm from Manhattan NYC.After i waited a few hour's a man said at that time he will not recut any wood. One piece of wood was recut.Everyone else who had the wood geting cut had no complaint's.I found this to be harrasment. When i went to the check out and tammy checked me out she was rude. The security followed me around the store and watched my every move.An employee, joe who's picture is in front of the store follwed me outside, He help's people load and unload building meterial's.He did not offer any help he just follewd me out and looked at me like i was at fault.

I came in the store next week to return liquid nail's because the grade i had was not very good.I also had a few peices of 1 x 2 cut. This was to try and make the project work because my wood was cut way off the week previously. The date is now 4-8-2015.I walked to the service desk.A woman in gray adidas refused me service there.I went to the next lane over a cashier by the name of brent was there and i asked why was i not help'd? he said he don't know and i should of ben help'd.Brent was busy i had to wait in the line. She over heard the conversation and said i can help u sorry.I then declined to go to a racist cashier.Brent rung me up and at the same time he also got an attitude. When he rung my item's up they were put on the floor for me to pick up.At this point i went home and called the store to report this to a manager.I could not get to one.An asst manager by the name of blair spoke with me about this and said we will give u a in store credit of $50.00.He said i just need to give my name at the service desk at check out and i will get it.At this point i said ok i will. When i called the store to see if this was true the service desk said i have no credit there.I asked to speak with blair, He was not there. So i spoke to an asst manager by the name of mike.He also said i had no credit and began to be unreasonable.I said i need to talk to someone else to get this resolved i dont want to talk with u anymore. He hung the phone up in my ear.At this point i've met 3 asst manager's at this location. They were all unhelpful and treating me with very poor customer service.

The next day i called the coorparate office and spoke to a lady and she then transferd me to Blair once again. He again said the credit is there. Not true. When i went to buy some wood and got it cut and went to check out there was no credit there nor was my name written down anywhere instructing the lady at the desk to give me a credit. At this point blair was called up, He told then give me the credit when i come check out.I got there and i was still refused the credit. Finally a lady said give him the credit I heard it.Why wasn't the credit at the front waiting for me? At this time i'm geting a little emotional You guy's put me through so much at this store it aint funny. My 10 year old autistic daughter has to witness something like this! I was given no recipt and i was given a little peice if papper saying $22.50.Was this supposed to be the way i kept track of the credit? even after a lady spoke up for me they still did not want to give me the credit and neither did they contact blair to confirm it like i requested.I was just treated with bad customer service.I left and told coorparate about this and was offered $100.00.After all that $100? the guy agreed to give me $300.00 and that's all that was worth to the coorparate office.I never received it.No one got in trouble either did anyone ever apolagize.

I went to the store 9:15 PM On [protected] before the store closed to get some tool's and glove's.Hoping to avoid rude customer service. Not a chance! a man helped me locate the tool's as i asked for help and a man was watching us in the backround. After i got help i went to find me some work glove's.Again i have my daughter.I tried on a pair, was to small.I tried on another pair then looked up and the same man that was waching me geting help find tool's and sander disc came peeking down the aisle. Why? more harrasment.

I went to the store 6:20 PM on [protected].I had my daughter and a man was in line after me.The cashier in her late 50's then said hey u wana run away with me? i had so many bad experiences here at this store.I kept quiet i was very imbarrassed and asshamed. She made it worse and said oh u gona just stand there and look at me stupid and crazy? Still i kept quit i wanted to pe myself i was so shocked that she kept this going. The man in line after me couldn't beleive his ear's either he shooked his head no.I looked at her no kind of way and said nothing back i just wanted to hurry up and leave. She then did not ring me up she said no bar code is here.Talking about 2 ft x 4ft polystyrene. And looked in the computer for the picture.Made me and my daughter go back and find another one and said i will be here when u return.I know all She just had to find the picture on the computer or send someone else back.I went and when I got back and she was not there like she said she would be.Another lady was there and she was not even logged into the computer to help me she kept making it look like she was trying to log on and could not.HARRASMENT.I went over to the other lane and checked out without any bad customer service.I reported this and said i didn't get my gift card and that i want more than a little $300.00 no one is learning to stop harrassing me in Layton UT.I called and left a message for Frank blake and michele cade called called me.Michele had april call me because i also had an disagreement with chad and his supervisoir shawn over the card not arriving and my new HARRASMENT.April just called me a liar.Mechelle never returned my call as she said she would.A lady from the claim's dept, April called and said i was telling lies it's to far fetched and tried to twist my word's.All u have to do is watch the store video/Audio and it will tell the truth. Now when i call home depot coorparate with my number that's on file it goes strait to a voice mail thank's to april at the claim's dept.Very professional.Told Michele through E mail and voicemail.Said I would receive a call sunday may 31st.More deception.

I shoped at this store since 2001, I've had many bad expereinces.I Decided to start reporting them and still nothing is hapning. Home depot in UT is a very racist place and they wont ever change and you guy's let it ride.I'm trying to not make a big deal out of this but you are not taking this seriously.Thank's Frank/Michele/April/joe cane!/Mike/Tammy/Blair.And everyone else disrespecting me and my little girl.

Home Depot rental dept and certain management are very unprofessional

Totally disgusted!
management needs some training in dealing professionally with complaints, to take responsibility, and to do so in an efficient manner...
I am a pro rewards cust that is very displeased with the white settlement store in fort worth and have been for some time now because of their unprofessional practices, first of all i need to be very detail and acknowledge that Janet, J.J. are awesomeness. My issues are with the rental dept and on of the store manager Jesse and the rental dept employee Tony which both are very unprofessional, and being a pro reawads customer feel very uncomfortable when dealing with these two guys, this location location for the store is very convenient for my company and if there where another hardware store close by, i would have already taken my business there because of these two guys now snd in the past. Today's issues had to do with several things, first a of all i had rented a floor sander on this pass Saturday at around 11am and by the time i loaded the rental and materials with no assistance it had to be after 12 noon. Got to the job site which was a good 45 minutes away and got ready to start on the job around 4 when i notice the store gave me the wrong disc for this particular buffer so i had to drive all the way back to this store for the correct one and they said that they would just restart the clock which by that time had to be after 5, i should have just returned the unit and got it elsewhere but didn't think about doing, so about that time it was just too late to go all the way back out to the job. I did out start in on Sunday morning and needed the unit for more time since Saturday was a total lost. I took it back on Monday night without finishing using the machine on the job because i noticed than that they didnt reset the time due to charges that where asset on my bank account, so when i did take it back the tony had quoted that i had tne unit for two days and 10 hours, he stated something like "well if you started the job so late that it wasn't their problem" in a very rude manner, in all reality it was the stores fault in the first place because the store gave me the wrong part to begin with. I ask to speak to the management which was Jesse at the time and he was of no help as well and basically said well you could just simply keep it till tomorrow till 4pm because i was getting charged for it. And acknowledging to myself that i indeed really needed to continue ising the machine because i had already lost so much time due to all this inconvenience, i simply decided to keep it so i when and got more pads and sand paper for it and came back to the rental counter, and was told by this time by Jesse the manager that he couldn't allow me to keep it because they had already closed the contract out. So basically i had to pay over $150 for a rental that i basically couldn't get much use out of, As well as charging me sales taxes once again as they have in the pass even thought im tax exempt as stated in the original contract with this unit. All in all im very disappointed with these guys handling of this whole situation which is now a huge inconvenience to myself and now my customer which is totally aware and completely understandable about my situation with your company, and she now is displeased with your stores handling of this issue.

Very disappointed pro rewards customer,

Home Depot didn't honor advertised price

Price was listed incorrectly at 78 cent per square ft. When we asked to purchase 1600 square ft of tiles they said that the price was incorrectly listed and its $2 per square ft. They blamed it on the supplier that they have no responsibilities for the price listed. They will not honor the mistake and will give us $200 off which is not even 10% off the original price, we can get better price with our military discount. I was there for a whole hour speaking to incompetent work named Chris and Roberto. Store Manager is Frank at Lemon Grove Store. Called homedepot.com to talk to the district manager and they could not do anything to honor what they have advertise.

Home Depot fired

So after working 6 m for them and doing sales and getting recoverys., they don't care about you. So I found a store credit card. Not a credit card. And got it mixed in with my cards and because I used it and that's not all also because I have bought stuff and returned it and had gotten store credit. And they fired me for a 4 dollar credit that I found. But yet I have saved them and made them money. So if you think your safe even with your own credit think again.

I attempted to write a check for $246 and check was denied, there was over $20, 000 in the account. Certegy, the check clearing company Home Depot uses said my checking history showed a "suspicious pattern". I've only written a few checks on this account and there is no suspicious pattern. This is a shame when loyal customers are treated like lowlifes!

I had a second Husky ratchet go bad on me after paying out of pocket once already and being denied the lifetime guarantee. I figured what the heck and I splurged on another $30 ratchet thinking what would be the odds of another one going bad. I don't misuse or abuse it in any way. Well, now it happened and Home Depot is claiming the same thing that if over 90 days I need to go to Husky directly. So I go to Husky website and they say to return any of their products just go straight into Home Depot. I honestly don't have a lot of energy to spend fighting this but it is a little tiring how these corporations always have a way of sticking it to the little guy.

At least now I feel a little better after venting this to anyone who might be reading this and possibly had similar experience. It sure would be nice if people/ entities could sell honest product and honest business. This really is wrong and I wish that someone who liked to battle these types of fraudulent claims would somehow get them to change their policies to match their claims. I am sure it is happening all across America because that is how I got turned onto this website. Good day to all.

Home Depot didn't deliver

I wish I had come here before ordering my patio furniture from Home Depot online! I have ordered several appliances from them online and never had an issue, so we ordered our patio furniture in two different parts. Chairs were delivered UPS and showed up no problem, the dining set was supposedly delivered by Non Stop Delivery the same day but NOTHING was at my house. They said they left it on the porch, we don't have a porch! I was home within 15 minutes of the delivery time so there is no way someone could have stolen a very large box from my driveway without me seeing them if they actually delivered to my house when they said they did. I called Home Depot the same day, they called NSD, who said they would reach out to the driver and call me back. Didn't hear a word. So I called Home Depot again the next day, nothing had been done by NSD, they just said it was left where their notes said. I was told by Home Depot that the resolutions dept. would have to look into it but they were closed for the day. Three days later I call Home Depot again and they try to reach out to NSD AGAIN and don't get any answer at all, this time I'm told they have to open an investigation that takes 10-14 business days before they can even credit me back for the $400 patio set that I haven't received! It would have been awesome if they had started that on Thursday when I originally called! Best part is the cushion covers haven't been delivered yet, but once I get those they are also nonreturnable! Why would Home Depot continue to use this company if they are this bad?! And if they use this company they need to update their policies unless they like ripping people off and alienating loyal customers.

Home Depot product service rip off

In April of 2014 my wife, who has been an invalid since falling in July 2012, was diagnosed with skin cancer. While the prognosis was not that serious, I decided to remodel my main restroom in the house to make it assisted living friendly, so my wife could have acess to the sink and therapeutic tub and enjoy those amenities as much as possible via a wheel chair. I had also discovered a soft spot in the bedroom floor from termite damage. I was a senior at Texas A&M University (I graduated on May 9, 2014) and didn't have the skill or tools to accomplish this myself. I was a familiar customer at Home Depot and went there to get a piece of plywood to temporarily fix my bedroom floor. Then I asked an attendant if he could recommend a good carpenter to me to do the necessary remolding and floor repair. He told me that the quickest way for a Home Deport employee to be terminated was for him or her to recommend a contractor. He then told me that Home Deport had their own Home Repair service (Statewide Remodeling) and that if I talked to the guy in the paint booth while in the store, that gentleman would tell me "all about it". I went to the paint booth and did as I was advised. The man at the paint booth handed me a credit application and said: "Fill this out andd send it in; if it is approved, someone will contact you. About a month later, I finally heard from Home Depot. They sent me a Project card with a $10, 000. Credit limit with the option to increase it (by December 2014" up to$25, 000 upon request. I called the number on the back of the card to activate it, then I was directed to a lady who told me that she was in Houston, Texas. I described the nature of the remodeling that I wanted-done: The restroom remolded assisted living friendly with a handicapped commode, a therapy tube similar to "Safe Step", with grab bars, a whell chair friendly sink and two soft spots in my bedroom floor, the result of termite damage repaired. I stressed that this was for the benefit of my wife and I wanted the work done by no later than July 1, 2014. I was ready to try to find a job after graduation. I didn't hear from anyone for a month then finally a salesman called. He scheduled the appointment for 1July2014 (in other words; the day I had wanted all of the remolding completed by. He seemed nice enough but the Estimate of the job was $9450.00. My restroom is 5 feet wide by 8 feet deep; this did not include new wall coverings. To get that amenity, it was going to cost a totl of 11, 449.00 (later I disvoered that increased cost had not been included in the ticket. In the meantime, I had contacted an independent modeller from Rockdale Texas who was going to do everything i had asked, PLUS tile the walls and floor, for a flat $9, 000 and no contract. He was also licensed and bonded. The only thing, he wanted his $9, 000 in cash. I had it but was concerned about the possibility of more medical bills because of my wife's health. I questioned the high price quoted by the salesman and he assured me that all of their products were "top of the line" including the therapy tub, and that all of their service personnel were licensed and bonded. Plus, I could pay it out at $256.00 a month. He seemed genuine and presented himself well. Then on July 9th, 2014, the "foreman" from Statewide Remodeling who was assigned to preview the work site at my house showed up. He was drinking a beer, which he carried back to his truck. He didn't seem to know much about construction and we literally had an argument about the repair of the soft spots in the bedroom floor. Noticing that my wife was an invalid (which was also the reason for the remodeling order), he actually spent more time trying to get me to hire his girl friend to home sit my wife than going over the contract details. Finally he left, then we noticed that he had left his cell phone. We figured it was a gimmick for him to have an excuse to return. Sure enough, he returned about 9PM that evening with his girl friend. I handed him his phone and told him my wife had gone to bed. He told me that the job would have to wait until after August 15th because of their work schedules. I didn't hear from anyone until August 5th., 2014, then the foreman called and told me that he and "some hands" would stop by the next day to drop off materials. I was to expect them, coming from Houston, to arrive between 9AM and 11AM. It was almost noon when the foreman called and asked if I had seen his crew. I replied that I hadn't seen them and that no one had called. He then told me that "they" must be tied up at another project that was also going to be completed that day. I had expected them to just drop off materials. Instead at 2PM The foreman showed up, again I saw him leave his beer in his pickup. His two hands wee hardly licensed and bonded. They were both illegal immigrants. Here is the list of materials they arrived with: one piece of plywood, untreated, 3/4 inch with a section cut out. I looked like it had been in someones garage for two years, or more. Five new untreated 2 by 4's. one sack of cement, 5 sheets of heavy duty tin and four sacks of sand. There was also a tub, without any hardware. The tub (supposedly a $6, 500 value) looked like something scavangers had picked up off a curb and had resold. It looked old, worn out and junky. I quickly told him that he might as well keep those materials on the trailer - they weren't going to be installed in my house. Then he asked that his two illegals, be allowed to view the work site, I was angry but consented. We disvoereed that the tub was 5 inches wider than the door way. I asked him (the foreman) how that happened even though he took measurement. He replied that the therapy tub for the home remodeling was "one size fits all". He was not detered even though I had asked him to leave. He explained that his hands were from Houston, the job was in Bryan, and that they would complete the entire bathroom remodeling in three hours (by 5:30PM. I asked him what he had planned to do about the soft spots in the bedroom floor. He told me that after "Rico", one of the illegals, finished remodeling the bathoom, I was to negotiate with him (Rico) privately to perform the floor repairs. I told him the repairs were part of the contract and that they could all get out of my house immediately. I though Rico was actually going to hit me. The foreman was still cocky and told me that he had a copy of the contract and that there would be another mark up because I had not had the house treated for termites. I told him to get off the property. I then called Houston and the Dallas Offices and voiced a complaint and told them to never send that crew back. On Monday April 11, 2014 I called regional manager Joh Howard with Statewide in Dallas, as agreed upon (he was supposed to come visit the job site) and discovered that all of my calls were block to every statewide Remodeling office. I called home depot and asked if I could keep the project card and hire an outside contractor. I would purchased the materials including the tub, from Home Depot. I was told that would be fine. This was on August 15, 2015. On August 27, 2014, I received a call from Green Sky Consumer Credit protection services. The gentleman asked me if I had ever had trouble with my Home Depot project Card; I replied that no, not to my knowledge I hadn't. He then identified himself, his reason for calling and the nature of the work that Green Sky performs. He told me that their agency could not understand why I was trying to purchase an expensive therapy tub when I had already paid Home Depot $9450.00 for a remolded bathroom. The previous week, I had began to get suspicious whenever I tried to make a purchase with the card and Home Depot personnel would tell me that that "computers were down". I contacted Home Depot and sure enough they had charged my Project card $9450.00 and for nothing. Despite numerous calls and complaints I kept getting redirected. Just as Statewide Remodeling had blocked my calls after speaking with John Howard in Dallas, whenever I called their customer service line I would be redirected to a voice mail telling me "how to increase my internet speed". This was handled like one big joke. I finally had to retain and attorney. After I did so and he sent a threat letter, Home Depot immediately restored the Project Card Balance back to zero. I told them to cancel the card immediately. In the meantime, my wife had fallen on July 21, 2014 and remained in the hospital in recovery until September 7th. I had the Home Depot project Card canceled shortly before I had to move her to assisted living. Home Depot and Statewide Remodeling are nothing but rip offs. They do not pull any building, electrical, or plumbing permits and the reason they waited so long, was for another job to take place in Bryan College Station so the same supply truck could service both sites. I have not found one former customer of their remodleing service who is satisfied or who does not feel ripped off. The materials they sent were nothing but garbage and their crew ... well, you can read between the lines. I don't think the foreman had sense enough to walk straight.

Home Depot practicing bigotry

As a customer I have lived in Lakewood California all my life. I have shopped at home Depot for many years. Today I went to shop at home Depot and realized every white person and African American that use to work there do not work there anymore. Everyone has been replaced with Latinos that barley speaks English. Is this not America anymore? Do we only hire one race of people? Half of my family is Latinos but I would never want anyone race of people to take priority on who gets a job. I will never shop at home depot again and I will make it a priority to talk about this to all my neighbors in Lakewood. Lakewood is still a small town and words travel fast. Shame on you Home Depot, Lowes will take over your business in Lakewood.

I was hired to work there. They are indeed discriminatory against Latinos (then) and blacks and age. There was one black person working their and all others were white. They gave an employee orientation stating how bad Lowes and Wal Mart are to shop and that their prime shoppers are mexicans and black being the ones who shop at their competitors. I could not believe what I was hearing. Then the kept me and I worked harder than anyone else there at my age worked circles around the young ones. They let me go because of the reason "you are not happy"? Then they had security escort me out their door? For not being happy? Then corporate office told me weeks later that I was let go due to workload being low and that any Home Depot would hire me? They hire these people to meet their quota and then find a reason to fire them. They tried to set me up before I left there but I was smarter than them and not "thief" mentality. These are federal government contractors but I do not see how. I have worked for 5 different federal agencies and these are like no other federal contractors I have known. This is a based place to work and they should have been in trouble already. The managers are the only ones who make any money and they also do their own hours and drink in the parking lot. There was an employee who was smoking "weed" in the womens bathroom and I reported her but when I did nothing was done. They made sure they gave me the locker at the very bottom of all the lockers (I am in my mid 60's) and it was a little hard to crawl to my locker every day but I did not complain.but I did not complain. The problem with your locker being at the bottom is when drill bits or small things that are in apron pockets fall they will fall to the bottom of the locker and always into my locker so they could try to have gotten me for having store stuff in my locker. When I left there the security women stood in front of me and made me empty my pockets in front of her when I was let go for being not happy but treated like a criminal. That was why they put mine at the bottom and I wonder how many people have been fired for that simple reason! These are bad bad folks to work for. Racism and discrimination runs rampant at all the Home Depot's but they meet their quota of what race to hire and then fire you. This is how they get by with it all.

I've purchased a fridge two weeks ago from store #989-Cherry Hill and requested to be delivered today December 11, 2014. Today the delivery truck came on time @9.30 and the fridge was taken apart, doors and trays have been removed, screws were left in the trays etc. I have requested the delivery team to bring the fridge through the back door as we have measured that the fridge would fit through that door. Unfortunately we were missing an inch for the fridge to fit through the door. I asked the delivery team to wait until I have someone coming and take the door out. I was told they could not wait but that they would come back to finish the job. Then the delivery team called their office and scheduled me for Saturday for someone else to come back and get the fridge in the house and assemble it and hook it to the water etc. They took the old fridge out and left.
The guy that I called to help me with the back door and take it out, arrived right when it started to snow.
So now it started to snow and the fridge was in my backyard.
I called the delivery company and asked to send someone else or have the initial team make a quick stop back to my house. I was placed on hold multiple times, had to call back, asked for the supervisor and did not get any help. Any help at all l! I was told multiple times that they would not change the schedule of the delivery team, they would not send someone else because overtime is not approved by the company, they can do nothing for me.
At 1pm I called the store GM hoping he can help. He was not available to speak with me. The weather was bad, my fridge was sitting outside, my back door had been taken out and I paid for a service that I did not receive (delivery and installation)
At 2PM I get a call back from the store manager who says he would send two of his associates to help me get the fridge in the house and they would also be able to assemble the fridge, but not hook it to the water line.
They came around 3.30 after my husband had to take a half day off, get some help and get the fridge in the house, They did not bring tools to assemble the fridge. My husband was not pleased with the job they've done.
SO, what did the delivery team and the company HD/Spirit do for me? NOTHING, except they left me a fridge, that I paid for it, in my backyard.
Where's the installation service that I paid for it? Who is to pay for my husband time, for the work he had done and for my time that I spent on the phone trying to get someone to help us? Spirit did not make an exception and send me a team to finish the job today and on top of that the delivery team had finished their schedule an hour earlier.
Now, more than ever, I am convinced that if I would to purchase from Home Depot again I would have the same delivery service. Who wants that? I am sure I don't want this kind of service.
Sorry HD but you lost a customer because no one bothered to change the schedule of the delivery team, or send another team back to my house to finish the job that I paid for it !
No one cared that I did not have a fridge-the old one was gone-the new one was not assembled, not working and outside in the snow-that my backdoor was out and cold wind and snow were coming in the house, that I spent hours on the phone, asking and begging for someone to come back and understand that this was an exception and not something "just because", that my husband had to get help and carry the fridge in the kitchen and now he has a back pain, that we had to witness a job pour done by HD's associates and still wait for someone to come and hook the fridge to the water line.

More savings-for Home Depot by not delivering the service I’ve paid for and more doing apparently for me, doing the work the delivery team was suppose to do. Shame on you HD/Spirit?

Home Depot Christmas tree

I went to the home depot with my family and bought a Christmas Tree at the Carmel Mountain Home depot. First the service was terrible and the tree when I brought home started to have dead needles fall out and it had brown patches all over the tree it was horrendous. I went there last year and the tree was amazing and I had tons of compliments. I now have a Charlie Brown Tree and honestly a Charlie Brown tree would be better. Very Disappointed

Home Depot not posting negative reviews of product

Consumer beware: home depot reviews, product related: we bought a honeywell humidifier earlier this year from home depot. The unit worked for 3 months no problem. Then came summer, so the unit got unplugged. Then came winter and we plugged the unit back in. The unit did not work. We called honeywell's customer service, and after some troubleshooting with the machine, they deemed that it should be covered by warranty. The problem is that they demanded that we send the unit to them in ontario at our cost which is around $54.00. Why should we pay for shipping to repair a faulty product of honeywell's? Anyway, I tried to post this information on home depot's web site, and the review got rejected. So - a warning to consumers: when you see reviews on home depots website, those reviews may not include critical and unbiased information that you may want in order to make a decision!

Home Depot review. I would advise anybody not to schedule an installation thru Home Depot. I placed an order of 06/05/2018 for a side door to my garage to be replace including installation and permit. They told usually it could take about 2 months due to the permit. Well the permit was obtained the first week in July, I call the Installation place and they told me the door had not arrived. I went to store 0206 and was told there was a delay since it was a custom door and the material to make the door had run out. On August 23, 2018 the Installation co J and J carpentry called me to set up the installation and the first appt available would not be until October 1, 2018. It seems Home Depot takes orders but does not follow up on anything. It takes over one month to have an installation done after they have inconvenience the customer.
My advice to consumers have your installations done elsewhere or buy the door from a place that does everything themselves.

Home Depot workplace harassment

An "assistant manager" at the Home Depot was over heard by me (a customer) berating a young man with a handicap. She was saying that because he is white and handicapped he has it easier than her because she is an African American. If you read this and live in the area, please call the store and report this woman. This is a human rights issue! We have to stop the hate and love one another! Help me put a stop to this hateful woman's abuse of authority!

Home Depot return policy and rude manager

I am a very loyal customer to Home Depot and I own a business. We bought a GE air condition with heat for our shop. After 3 times fixing it they finally exchanged it. Bought a Westinghouse generator online and picked it up at Tupelo, MS store. I had it about 3 weeks before using it and then used it 6 days about 5 - 7 hours each of those days. Called store since I has it more than 30 days I have to send it off to get it fixed. I own a food truck and my business depends on this generator. Talked to the manager named Randy and he was and not sympathetic to my problem at all and ended up just hanging up. I have been a good customer for as long as I remember and I am very upset that there is not a better policy for us. What if your store had to shut down for weeks because you bought faulty equipment from someone.

Home Depot cabinet refacing

In May of 2014 I contracted with Home Depot to do a cabinet refacing of my kitchen cabinets. The contractor they sent out was Hager Conley Construction. The cabinets turned out very nice with one problem. One cabinet split when they tried to screw it down. This would require a new door. After waiting weeks and making several calls I was able to get a replacement door installed. They actually set up install dates and then moved them at the last minute. The final one I insisted no more moving.
Once the new door was installed it was obvious the new door did not match the other doors previously installed. Since that time I have been trying to get this put to rest I did receive a call telling me they would be shipping out another new door to my home and it would arrive on a Thursday for my inspection. This was in early August. Thursday came and went and no door. I then got a call telling me it would be coming later. Now I am in the beginning of complaining to Home Depot about this. I will not be using them again and suggest to anyone else be careful with these folks.

Home Depot tool rental customer service

Was at a tool rental in Home Depot in Howell New Jersey it was on a Sunday and there was about 5 people waiting for help there was 1 guy behind the counter the guy was probably in his 50's forgot his name just in case you go there he was there. There was 2 other guys in the back room and the guy at the counter went back there twice and told the guys he needed some help but they ignored him both times. This gentleman kept on apologizing to the customers that were waiting and he serviced all the customers by himself in a professional manner while the 2 other guys stayed in the back talking. I mentioned to him that I see these guys were not going to come out and help and that I wanted to say something to a manager but he did not want a scene this employee to a fabulous job on getting the customers out in a very professional way I wish there was some way I can let this be known with out leaving my name because I do go there often

OK, maybe you should have gone to the front desk, asked for the manager and said something.

Home Depot seriously poor employee communication

Well, 3 days ago I gave Home Depot Customer Service on their own site a chance to resolve this as I do not enjoy giving time and effort to things and people that waste it and they never acknowledged the email message I sent at all. I (we) have been researching for 3 months now the best and least expensive way to have a toilet replaced in our home. I ended up at Home Depot (originally wanted to purchase same toilet we picked out at Lowe's) to first purchase the toilet and bring it home with other important home repair items so that later I could schedule (as a package deal) to have installed by the Home Depot's Contracted Plumber. I saved money this way.
First I asked Ruth at the Customer Service Counter (upon getting a package estimate) if I could get my military discount, that my current ID is expired but you can clearly see it's me and that my new one is being processed and ordered through the VA. She informed to just present my current ID upon check-out that it would not be a problem. It's important to me that I not get all rung up at the check-out register and then have somebody say, sorry, sir, we can't accept your ID as it's expired and then go beyond my allotted budget for this huge purchase of $326.00. So, I proceeded to check-out register #1 where Aurora was operating it. First off, she looked at us as if we were inconveniencing her by purchasing items at the Home Depot store in her line, before we were even at the register, however, I just let it go. Then, Aurora is literally running around frantically and gets upset because I picked an item that her scanner/wand would not pick-up and register to the computer, I let that go too.
Finally, after being pushed into feeling very uncomfortable be her, I let her know that I had my Military ID and I'd like to get the 10% discount that Home Depot offers its military/veterans. Aurora stated, "It has to be the person paying for the stuff, besides, your ID is no good and a man from the base said not to take ID's that are no good, so whaataya wanna do now"! I said, well, I spoke to Ruth, the Customer Service Department and she said that it was all okay and that the store would honor my ID and that I did not have to be the one paying out of my pocket so long as it got paid for. Aurora huffed and puffed at me and said that I could call the man at the base and ask him if I didn't believe her. Needless to say, she succeeded at making me uncomfortable and let-down. I truly hope this blaitant act of poor attitude, store communication/training and cruddy treatment doesn't happen to you or anyone else. I'd sure like to see or hear that she has been reprimanded for what she did. I'm so tired of this I don't even care about spell/grammar. Regards---

Home Depot failure to comply with installation ad

Home Depot advertises for home installation contractors. If you try to get in touch with these people, Home Depot will just give you the run-around. You can't speak to the contracting company and Home Depot employees say they will contact them for you. Needless to say, at this particular store no one handled the situation. The head office in Toronto was just as bad also giving me nothing but a run-around and saying that I was given top priority. After over a dozen phone calls to Home Depot on Regent Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (they never returned one call) over a 3 week period, I was unable to get anyone to come out for a consultation for home repairs. Try to call this store and speak to a Manager, that wil never happen. Everytime and any day of the week you call, you are told they are all in meetings. Very poor public relations. They don't live up to their ad and they do not care about the customer. I will not purchase anything from this store, and will relate to everyone I can about their inability to interact and care about the customer.

Home Depot does not clean and needed repairs several times

I bought a GE Adora from Home Depot in September of 2013. This dish washer from the start never cleaned the dishes. It washed for very long time and when I opened it all the dish washing liquid was on the door of the dishwasher and the dishes were still dirty. Called GE for a repair and the service technician came out and said that it need a new motor, so they shipped the part to my house and I thought they would follow up with me. After about 3weeks I called and told them the part came and it was only then the technician came to replace the part. The dish washer worked for another month and them the spindle at the bottom just burnt out and broke. Just got this smell emanating from the machine and on investigating I see this burnt out part at the bottom. They shipped a new bottom spindle and technician arrives and said that was not the only problem. He has to order a new part and come back again. More stress having to wash all the dishes by hand. Called the consumer relations department and they said that the expensive warranty that I purchased from home depot was for reparis only and the machine must malfunction again before they consider replacement. This is not acceptable since my old cheap dishwasher lasted 12years and even though noisy washed the dishes clean and never needed a repair. Anyway, my advise to all reading this is to go with another brand. Stay away from a GE Adora..
