Subway verbal abuse from owner/mgr

While at mall shopping my family and I decided to have lunch in the new food court. My partner and I decided we wanted Chinese my son requested a sandwich from Subway. So, my partner goes to the Chinese restaurant to get our order I went with my son to purchase his sandwich. My son ordered the June Special sandwich the "Chipotle Chicken and Cheese" for $5 @ footlong. At the register was a man named Hameel (?) who was ringing us up, and I said could we make it a combo w/chips and a med drink... he said sure that will be $9.39. While digging through my wallet for the money I said "that's ridiculous". Hameel said, in what I thought to be joking fashion, "don't say that word in my restaurant". Keep in mind we are in a food court, so I, again a a joking fashion, stepped back two steps and said "that is ridiculous". At this point I realized he wasn't joking, I said you know what let's forget the combo and I will just get the sandwich. I handed Hameel $6, which he took and then told me to leave his store. I said I will leave after I get my change, he then threw the change at me and told me to leave. Leaving the store, my son went a got a table, I joined my partner, who was still in line at the Chinese restaurant, and told her what had just happened. We joined my son at the table and my partner said you know that is not right for that guy to have spoken to you that way, I am going over to get the owner's/mgr's name to make a report. She goes over and is speaking with Hameel, when she asked who the owner was, he said "### you, you aren't a customer here". My partner then said excuse me but did you just say "F you to me?" Hameel, said again, ### you and get out of my store. We went to the mall manager's office and both of us filed a complaint, but was told by the receptionist that they would just be put into Subway's file and maybe reviewed when time for lease renewal. After leaving the mall my partner called Subway's coporate office and spoke with a customer service representative. After going through our whole story the representative stated that Hameel was the owner and that there was absolutely NOTHING they could do about his treatment of us. When asked if this was Subway's standards, she said that Subway "suggests" standards on how stores should be run, but that it is entirely up to the owner of the Francise to follow or not... I was and still am totally blown away. It is funny that I hadn't eaten at Subway for almost a year prior to this, just because there has been a small business open in our neighborhood that sells the BEST sandwiches in all of Clarksville, TN called Freedom Deli that we take our business to now, but now this has happened and I gaurantee I will never eat at one again simply because of the lackluster care given to this from Subway. I wanted to share this not because I am looking for coupons or refunds or stuff like that, I just wanted a sincere apology and ownership of what they had done, not just to my family but to the other people in the food court, many with small childern, that had to hear the trash mouth of Hameel... and Subway says... "oh well!"

Subway rude customer service rep

I always go to the Subway (new york ave near TCC in arlington TX by TCC campus)(8:30pm March 27, 2011 Sun)When I first in I notice two students in the corner and a older gentlemen) the worker was n the back working..Nevertheless the lady came out from the back she didn't say hello can I help u or anything (Np) so we preceed with the order and so towards the end I said that bread was torn..She looked at me and said you don't have to b rude and I will not be serving you, because I have to much to do! I said "maam you aren't going to serve me because I pointed out to you the bread was torn." She was like no and walked off and went in the back. SO then I said "maam u filled out that application for a mini. Wages and u going to get mad a me cuz I pointed out that the bread was torn" At this pt I am leaving the store.. She said "Eat Crow ###"! I have never been insulted like that in my life and the only reason she wasn't mopping up that sandwhich wit her mouth was because I didn't want to go to jail..I did talk to manager the following morning he said he'll handle it but (u kno how that is) He did explain that it was perhaps other employers off the clock sitting up there. Which also explain how comfortable she was by calling me a ### and not completing the order..

Subway rotten service, overpriced, limited selection/ overrated

I went to the Subway in the mall in Scottsbluff, the cashier rolled her eyes at me because they were getting ready to close even though it was barely after 7:00 PM. I ordered a pulled pork sandwhich and asked for a footlong and I received a six incher, I also asked for chips and drink and I just got a bottle of water thrown at me and was told the pop machine was down. I asked for chips and they said they were out. when she rang it up I got charged for a foot long, a drink, and chips, and it ended up being over $10. I said that I didn't get what I ordered and the cashier tried to argue so I just gave her the damn money and left.
This isn't the only rotten subway either, every one I've been to has skimpy food, the employees rarely follow food safety protocol, it is grossly overpriced, and never anything good to eat. I quit going quite a while ago.

"I said that I didn't get what I ordered and the cashier tried to argue so I just gave her the damn money and left."
I don't understand why when people don't get what they ordered they still pay for it...? Refuse the food and leave.

I have been to many nice Subways.

Subway lack of value for price

East 2nd street location- Paid eight dollars for a roastbeef footlong. the meat only was about 1/8 of in (less than 2 ounces for a footlong). I asked the toothless girl who made the sandwich if my sandwich looked anywhere close to the photo on the menu. She said "no, but it has eight slices" (of 2 inch round). I said, but why does the picture look like I am going to get a sandwich with a lot of meat? the manager standing next to her at checkout said, "HEY LADY, IT HAS EIGHT SLICES! NOW PAY FOR THE SANDWICH!" I was so embarrassed that I didnt even have time to have anything other than lettuce put on it. I wanted to walk out, but that lady might have tackled me before I got out the door so I paid for the sandwich and left. I have decided that Subway has no concept of quality of customer service or understanding of value to the consumer. I will never go to subway again and every person that will ever associate with me will hear of my experience. Hopefully, someday, subway will have to close it doors.

You didn't have to pay for the sandwich. I've experienced so much ### at subways. Their list says they're supposed to out 10 slice of salami and 10 slice of pepperoni into a footlong spicy italian. But you never get that. They put 7 slice of each or at some stores you get 8 slice of each. When they do that I tel them : YOU EAT THAT, YOU'RE STEALING"... If they have an ### they are welcome to argue... FALSE ADVERTISING WILL NOT WORK...

By the way I contacted their corporate office regarding this rip-off. They didn't appreciate me. They simple said I should tell them to put more meat. Subway has no respect to their customers... Don't eat where you are not appreciated.

Subway gross and disgusting mold

I filled my cup with ice and an ice cube with a clop of mold fell into my cup. I informed the clerk and she said I could get a drink from the fridge. She failed to shut down the machine and failed to inform the 5 families I watched get drinks from the machine of the mold.

Subway rude behavior of the subway staff souvik

Dear sir/madame,
I am a very loyal customer to your subway. Here in kolkata whenever I go out with any friends or relatives I always seek in for subway. As I like the kind of food quality you provide.
But today 21/05/11, I am very sorry to say that I was "very very annoyed" and "insulted" by your staff who told his name is souvik in south city mall, tollygunge kolkata.
I had brought in today some of my special friend to your outlet at 7:00pm to spend in the time in a relax way at south city mall. It happened that a staff who was wiping and clearing the table suddenly came saying that if you are done with your food than you have to leave the table as this is a rule to leave the table in 20mins. I told him that even if you speak like this speak in a polite way as I am still having my food and drinks, and even I have not received such rude behavior by anyone of your's other outlet.
Listening this he spoke with a rage of anger that what can you do?
Is this kind of answer should be spoken to your customer!
He (Souvik) had also told me that nothing is going to matter even if I lodge in a complaint to his name, when I asked him to tell me his manager's name, he pointed me towards the counter stating that go to the counter and tell in your problem. And showed a very filthy attitude from me. Even after all this he did deliberatly push in the table to the other side stating that he would have problem in moving to and fro.
I think this is the height of absurdity one can think off.
I do visit the 5 star hotels often, but then I do not expect the same service to deliver but then would actually expect a little minimum curtsey's from your people.
It doesn't mean that for all these a person had to be literate or illiterate but don't you think a person could give respect to someone.
I did felt of complaining this thing then and there but then my friends stopped in doing in such.
Might be this is the last time I am visiting to your outlet as even I must say that only good food does not bring you good customer it also depends how good services do you provide with much warmth, respect and positive attitude.
I must say the people like souvik are not at all customer focussed. As I would never recommend anyone to go to subway because of your employees unruled and rude behaviors.
I must say that outlets like kfc and pizza huts are far better than you in terms of behaviours of the employees as even a employee who mops the floor knows as how to speak to a customer. I must suggest you to improve on such areas or else count of loosing in the customers would increase only because of employees rudeness eg - souvik (The thin guy who was cleaning in the table in south city mall on 21/05/2011 at 7:30 pm)

Jayanta biswas

Subway consistent over charging

I just changed offices for a few weeks and which is very close to a subway. On every visit i purchase 2 foot long subs and 2 bottles of water. I order 1chicken salad and 1 Tuna every time. I visited the store around 8-10 times with in a 2 week period that i was in my Selden office. I was always charged over $18 and always different prices even though same exact products ordered, and today i found out why. I watched my order being charged and the woman clicked EXTRA MEAT, when i confronted her, asking what extra meat did I order, she denied that she had clicked it and explained that is the regular prices and said she could not provide a receipt as she was out of paper. I then asked her to explain to me off the menu how it was so much and she couldn’t. The bottles of water are $1.75ea x2 is 3.50, orchard chicken salad is a $5 foot long and so is tuna even though she claims tuna is not and is $6.79. This leaves over $2 unexplained. So i left without the food,
I have also noticed a obvious portion difference regarding this restaurant, the amount of "meat" served is not nearly as much as other subway restaurants, as they offer 2 small scoops of tuna per sub and 1 large scoop of chicken salad per sub where as my local sub way and others i visited offer 4 small scoops of tuna per sub an 2 large scoops of chicken salad per sub.
This is clearly an effort of the restaurant to gain larger profits overcharging and offering less “meat”.
Honestly could care less about $2 but it’s just pure principle

Subway overall cleanliness

I used to work for this Subway. They do not clean the tea nozzles, in fact most of their dishes are not cleaned properly. They dunk and rinse their dishes. The tea nozzles are supposed to be taken apart, scrubbed. Rinsed and sanitized. This is not done. They just dunk into the water and let it sit on the rack to dry. The tomato slicer has a disgusting discoloration from the fact that the Management refuses to get anything to properly clean it. The veggie slicer is supposed to come apart to be cleaned. I doubt that any of the crew that works at that store even knows this, as long as I worked there it was never taken apart to be cleaned. The employees will forget to wash their hands, thinking the gloves protect the customer. People the gloves are a show. They breathe and do nothing to protect you. If you see someone walk up and skip that sink demand they wash their hands! The tea machine itself which is also used to make coffee is not cleaned properly. The water dispersion adapter gets so much lime buildup on it that the water refuses to flow properly. The plastic tea and coffee parts for the machine are never cleaned properly. There is always a disgusting residue in the bottom as no one seems willing to scrub. DO NOT DRINK THEIR COFFEE OR TEA! There is a good chance you will get sick. They do not actually wash out the coffee holders. They rinse them, sanitize them then let them dry and reuse them. Meanwhile a crusty residue builds up in the bottom. The tea holder is the same. The employees are not made to adhere to a professional look, I.E. wearing your pants where they belong. A few of the employees will wear their pants down low, then grab them while on the line and pull them back up before resuming making the sandwich. Ew! I'm sorry but there's something about watching someone grab their ### then touch my food that makes me sick. I would recommend avoiding this Subway like the plauge.

Subway very rude employees

It's unbelievable that management would hire employees who can barely speak English. The difference between chicken and tuna is difficult to explain to them. And apparently, the rudeness continues with attitude when correcting them for making the wrong sandwich. Cold items are Luke warm; hot items are cold. Some of the veges are wilted. When they drop the food on the floor, they just put it back in the container for the next customer. Gross! Beware of this Subway.

Subway horrible food, other

Store # 39195
105 Cherokee Boulevard
Cherokee Nation Travel Plaza

This is the 4th time I have been in the store (Located inside of the Indian Store) and found the same one or two guys working at the Subway part of the store. Its the 4th time that they have said 'were sorry the bread is old, we would have made some new bread if we new it was old' YET they say this EVERYDAY, today the sandwiches tasted particularly ### (me and my husband is on a diet & wanting to eat subway but am now going to another Subway or changing our diet because of the people that work at the store). Second of all, everything was frozen (eg every topping you can choose to put on your subway sandwich had frost on it, so although I had the sandwich toasted, they put frozen & icy spianch, hard/ice olives, ect...EVERYTHING was frosted) made the sandwiches really nasty tasting, besides the ### bread, I wanted to choose a another type of bread but the blonde headed guy that works there said there were only two types to choose from & he said they were old and close to moldy (his words not mine). I stood in line, 2 other people were in front of me, in that time he NEVER changed his plastic gloves but saw him pick up two different dirty ### cleaning rags and wipe the counters off. Im writing to just let you know I will not be back during evening hours (we eat breakfast there & the women that work there are fine/clean/friendly), however people may get sick from your unclean employees. Plus you'll lose me and my husbands business from now on. OH by the way they didnt follow their $5.00 special for his month, they charged us $7.00.

Subway listed price was not honored

Ok we went in last night to grab something quick as well as healthy. They have a sign which displays $5 "6-inch meal deal which includes drink and chips for $5 not $5 plus the price of chips and drink but only $5 so this is what my daughters order but when their orders were rung up at the register one was for ham and cheese which was $3.50 and the price of the chips and drink were seperate for $2.25 so her total was $6.33. When I asked how could this be the sign says $5 6'inch meal deal. The cashier said they has to ring it up seperate whci made no since but if you do ring it up then the total should not execeed $5 before tax if that is the case then your sign is misleading and you do not offer a $5 meal deal. Now my other daughter order the same thing except she has turkey and her total was $6.88. I know some of you may say this is such a small amount but if you are going to advertise then you should honor you advertisments otherwise don't advertise and there would not be a problem.

@chevypride: I really don't think the tax there is that high. For a $5 sandwich to cost $6.33 after tax, the tax comes up to almost 27%. I found an article as of 2008 and the sales tax in Birmingham was supposedly 10%, which would make the sandwich $5.50.

I agree with the others that it's likely the promotion was misunderstood.

Subway rude behaviour of employee

Having visited this place on several other occasions, each time to be told "we are out of what you want", I decided to stop once again to give the Angus beef a try.
To start the whole thing right, there were three girls there, one must have been chained to the cash register, another one must have been locked up in the back room and the third one was too busy writing out some text on a strip of tape about 10 feet long. Not one of them could speak I guess either because none of them even acknowledged I was standing there. Finally yhe one writing the tape turned around (she had finished the tape) and without sanitary gloves said flatly "what do YOU want". I said an Angus beef and guess what .. "we don't have any" was the reply. I then commented that this has happened several other times and this person exploded on me. she started yelling and said SAY THAT AGAIN, EXPLAIN THAT .. AND I SUPPOSE YOU THINK YO CAN BE MAD AT ME FOR THIS!. Well I had not meant it that way but I guess you should not say anthing except the type of meat and bread to these girls because they obviously have a hard time speaking in words other than those related to Subway-speak. Next I tried to order a meatball sandwich and she said, "We don't have that either" and then added .. "in fact we are out of everything as far as your concerned, I refuse to serve you". Upon which she then retreated to the back room, probably to join her co worker in the cage.
Anyway, I went and had a McDonalds and somehow survived a noght of no Subway.

Subway working conditions

i got a call one day from a woman asking me to come into this subway for an interview. i was excited just to be offered a job. I went in dressed for my interview. When I got there, the General Manager told trainer "E" to interview me. For five-ten minutes, the GM told "E" how to interview me..right in front of me! When the GM left, "E" took my information and resume and said come in on Monday for training. I thought it was the weirdest "interview" ever. I came in Monday ready to learn all about being a sandwich artist. The first two hours were spent memorizing the sandwich formula chart. i was left to sit in a corner and "study" (the average person would have it down in 20 minutes) After a "quiz" on my knowledge of sandwiches, i made a couple sandwiches. I thought every thing was fine for someone who just started their first day.

the second day i came in is when i decided to quit. I came in with 5 other employees during lunch hour. co-workers would "steal" sandwiches while i was trying to make them for customers. Eventually, "E" told me to stand in the corner and observe. It began to get really busy so I jumped in and started to help. After about an hour of traffic i started to observe again. In front of a customer "E" said "don't just sit around, you are supposed to help people out" this was contradictory to what he said earlier. Later, I was having issues wrapping a sandwich. "E" was sitting in the eating area of the restaurant and yelled "Your doing it wrong" in front of the entire restaurant. I felt humiliated. Later, I was making a crab sandwich for a customer and "E" watched over the customer who was watching me. It made the customer AND me weirded out. At the end of the day, i told "E" i was quitting and explained that i did not like his timing in criticizing me. He then told me he didn't like that i stood around (which is what he told me to do.."observe") and then said that "S", and other employee, jumped in when she first started and did not understand my hesitation. After a "no hard feelings" talk, the GM walked in. "E" told him that i wasn't going to work. the GM did not even acknowledge me. SO i left subway and never looked back. i really dodged a bullet. IT WAS THE WORST WORK EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD.

@dont judge my husband. its not about making mistakes. because i did expect to make them. it is about the WAY he was criticizing me. You don't yell criticism across a restaurant so every customer can hear. You don't stand over a customer's shoulder while watching the "sandwich artist" make a sandwich. If he had brought me to the back room and explain my mistakes in a professional way...this review never would have been written

@mrsnirple after this horrible ordeal, I found a great job. one that gives me great hours and is flexible with my school scheule. and it is because i now work for a company that doesn't treat me like a 3rd lass citizen that I will be able to graduate with my master's degree in spring with very few student loans. I knew what I needed in a work experience and this job(subway) was not it.

I was doing what he told me to do (observe) and then i took initiative to help out. it was when i got back to observing that my trainer started treating me bad. he may be good at his job but he s not good at being a trainer. we didn't mesh. we had a "no hard feelings" talk. he even called a couple days after i wrote this review and asked me for more feedback of his training and i explained my issues and he took them with stride.

I work at a very busy subway. I have been there one month. I am ready to quit due to the harassment from the manager. I am trying very hard to do my job. I am getting little if any help or direction from other employes or management. I think i am being pressured into quiting due to my not being fast enough or learning likewise. I cant do better with a supervisor humiliating me in front of guests and co-workers. This aint the Marines and it aint combat! Lives arent at stake just a stupid sandwich getting made fast enough or rang up fast enough. Well some day when the economy picks up these corporations will lose employes like rats fleeing a sinking ship! Why dont they wise up. This aint China yet! Although they probably wish it were.

Subway we were kicked out

My 4 year old son has autism. He tends to react on some outings depending on waiting time, environment, the amount of people and many more reasons. Kids being kids and maybe mine a little loud, they were not shy of having fun and keeping busy while we lined up and waited our turn.
The guy behind the counter called us over to where we could see him and shouted out ' take the kids out of here I can't work with all that noise'. I was shocked and almost speechless. But I replied, 'my son is autistic and this is how they act'. I than looked around at the full store with their eyes glued to me, approached my friend dinning with us and discussed going to another food outlet.
We walked out of the store in shock where my son, because of change, reacted 10 times as bad due to the sudden change making things a lot harder to deal with.
I was discriminated against. My son isn't a normal child and I have to live with that everyday of my life. I don't need rude inconsiderate people like that SUBWAY guy tonight rubbing it in.
I will endeavor to forward a formal complaint to the store manager who I have already spoken to.
I am not happy and people should not jump to conclusions to think a child is 'just naughty'. There could be an underlaying medical issue.

U know Brenda, I can see why people threaten other people on here just like your case where that guy threatened to harm you... Easily done when your so nasty. You come to Darwin Australia and tell me what you think. You only see the pretty pictures.
And by the way, working with autistic children and living with them are completely different. While my husband is helping (you guys) the US troop over in afgan risking his life, I am trying my very best to handle our little man. As I said, u live my life with an autistic child, work Part time and entertain a 6 year old with very little support.

If you knew what an autistic child was like then leaving him in the car with someone else is never an option. We were waiting in line to be served and we hardly ever eat out due to the fact that i much rather eat in comfort in my own home. My friend who Has her own children were looking after her own and mine are not her responsibility. I was in there for 10 minutes max before the above happened, hardly enough time to get angry about.
The man in front of us was trying to talk to my son about the menu for a good 5 mins, once he had enough that's when he started talking and laughing loud. I have requested for the manager to watch/listen to the cct footage. He was more than helpful during our conversation and willing to help. He also took a liking to the children when we visited his store last night in the next suburb. Luckly for me he manages both stores. I am yet to hear the outcome with the promise of a follow up call would take place on Saturday. All the comments I have received mean nothing. I wasn't expecting any comments, just wanted to voice my bad experience with a well known company.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THESE COMMENTS ON HERE. IF ANY OF YOU IGNORANT ###S KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT AUTISM OR HAD TO LIVE WITH AN AUTISTIC CHILD EVERYDAY, YOU WOULD BE APPAULED THAT THIS WOMAN AND HER CHILD WERE TREATED THIS WAY. THAT SUBWAY WORKER HAD SOME NERVE KICKING OUT A DISABLED CHILD. HE'S AUTISTIC. HE CAN NOT HELP HIS OUTBURSTS AND LOUDNESS, THATS WHAT AUTISM IS. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY AND THIS BOY AND HIS FAMILY ARE FREE TO EAT OUT AS THEY PLEASE AND FOR THEM TO ENCOUNTER SUCH DISRESPECT AND POOR TREATMENT MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH. FOR ALL OF YOU SAYING THAT THIS BOY IS A MISBEHAVING BRAT OR THAT "AUTISM" IS A POOR EXCUSE, I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL BECAUSE THIS BOY DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS, AND HE SHOULD NEVER BE SUBJECTED TO SUCH CRUEL TREATMENT BECAUSE OF HIS DISABILITY. IT IS DISGUSTING THAT SOMEONE WOULD EVER RESPOND THIS WAY TO THIS WOMAN WHEN SHE WAS RUDLEY KICKED OUT OF THE STORE BECAUSE HER SON WAS AUTISTIC AND A LITTLE LOUD. EDUCATE YOURSELVES AND STOP BEING SO IGNORANT.

It must be tough having a child with autism, it was hard raising a child with ADHD. I know it must be frustrating, and with your husband away fighting in the war. My son was hyper, and when I mean hyper, I mean he couldn't sit still for five minutes. I would get complaints from school, I couldn't take him to eateries, or shopping. He was just uncontrollable! I researched his behavior, and I figured out he had ADHD. His elementary school didn't want to help, and I was told I was on my own. I found an agency that was familiar with the laws concerning child with special needs, and helped advocate for the services he needed . My son got the extra help he needed, the school tested him, and found he had ADHD. Which from there I was able to get him the medication he needed to help modify his behavior. I also had to set strong boundaries for him, make sure he got the exercise he needed, give him the extra help and attention he needed. I also had my son twenty four seven, because nobody wanted to watch my out of control child, than I would be criticized for putting him on medication. I am sorry that nobody has shown you any compassion that you deserve. My best advice is advocate for your son's needs in your school district, find out if in the military your child qualifies for special care, you are his voice, and the more specialized help he get for your son, the better off he will be as he becomes an adult. My nephew was slightly autistic, he would often be off in his own world as a young child, never play with his cousins or sibling. My brother and sister in law advocated for him, through the school district he went to a specialized pre school and also would see a autism specialist that helped him more effectively communicate. Now, he is a happy seven year old, plays and interacts with his classmates, plays with his siblings, and can express his wants and needs. Because they got the help he needed, his quality of life is greater. There has been a great deal of strides made with autism, and I urge you to use the resources your community, school district, and military offer. I tried not to put my son in situations that he or I would find uncomfortable. I didn't take him to eateries, besides going to the fast food places with playgrounds. Avoid places were your child can be made uncomfortable, were is behavior can escalate, such as you described. Drive throws are great! Take the food where he feels comfortable. If that is home, than those are the arrangements you need to make for him. That being said, I urge you to join a support group, were other parents can understand how you feel, and what you are going through. Most people just think your a bad parent that cannot control your child, and give you that look of disgust. I know how that feels too... I hope thing work out for you! My prayers are with you.

Love Fist II,
Your an unfeeling ###, why don't you stick your fist where the sun don't shine! You are a hateful person, and maybe one day all the mean vicious words you spew will bite you in the big behind. Why don't you find some animal porn, stick your "love fist" one and two up your fat well used ###! Hopefully rupturing your intestines, and bleed to death. So your nastiness will come to an end!

Is your name after your favorite porn movie? Is it some gay porn you are starring in? Can you really take two fist at once? Wow! That is impressive! Jacking off over and over to it? Or can you put two in your own bunghole? Mmm... Or have you turned into such a lard ### that no gay man will stick it to you.. Have to pay for your loving [censored] wad? Why don't you stop using your food stamp money on doughnuts, and pay some hot young thing to stuff it to you, so you won't act like such a ###! Maybe turn off the computer, and "take a walk"... See the world! No worries, animal gay porn will be waiting for you when you get home...

You weren't discriminated against. If you and your son were merely kicked out because of the disability then that would be discrimination, but you were kicked out because of the noise level caused by the disability. These things happen and they have the right to do what they did. They have the right to make sure that the environment is appropriate for other customers and employees. They have set policies regarding noise levels that they will tolerate. It's also possible that other customers complained. Should they allow those customers to leave or should they ask you to leave? That is up to the discretion of the location, and it doesn't sound like the employee acted improperly. I would suggest following Brenda's advice.

Subway management

I enjoy eating at subway in washington, the employees greet you with a smile and take your order the exact way you want it. It has been brought to my attention, that the mnager of this store doesn't want her employees to speak to any of their family memebers or friends when they come in to order, well I find this to be down-right stupid. Subway should be a place where you can go and get a great meal and have a great conversation. I think i'll take my business elsewhere and take a few of my friends with me. We don't have to eat at subway, there's a mcdonald's, pizza hut, zaxby's, wings and things, china 1, there is no need to eat at a restaurant if management is going to treat you with little to no respect.

YOU APPARENTLY HAVE A PROBLEM SIMPLY UNDERSTANDING PLAIN ENGLISH. THE EMPLOYEE WAS NOT BEING BOTHERED BY FRIEND NOR FAMILY MEMBER. YES THERE WAS A FAMILY MEMBER AND A FRIEND THERE, BUT PAYING CUSTOMERS, SPEAKING WITH OTHER PAYING CUSTOMERS, MANAGEMENT HAS PERSONAL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. I WILL NO LONGER COMMUNICATE WITH YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO LIMITED IN YOUR VOCABULARY. I FEEL LIKE I CONVERSING WITH A FIVE YEAR OLD.

1ST OF ALL LET'S GET THIS STRAIGHT. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER "THE CUSTOMER" IS A FRIEND OR A FAMILY MEMEBER, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO COME INTO THE STORE AND SIT DOWN AND ENJOY THEIR MEAL, THEY HAVE SEATS DON'T THEY? 2ND, NO ONE BOTHERS THE EMPLOYEE. I RESPECT A PERSON'S JOB AND WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO CAUSE THEM TO LOOSE IT. APPARENTLY, THAT LITTLE BIT OF POWER GOES TO SOME PEOPLES HEADS AND THEY CAN'T HANDLE IT.

"MNAGER" "I FEEL LIKE I CONVERSING" "FAMILY MEMEBERS" "THEM TO LOOSE IT."
And I am the one with a limited vocabulary. Ha ha. Britney, how would the manager even KNOW you were a family member or friend if you didn't bother the person at all?

Also, honey, even five year olds know not to type in all caps.

Exaggerate much?
"IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION, THAT THE MNAGER(sic) OF THIS STORE DOESN'T WANT HER EMPLOYEES TO SPEAK TO ANY OF THEIR FAMILY MEMEBERS OR FRIENDS WHEN THEY COME IN TO ORDER"

So they can't even say "hi what kind of bread do you want?" not likely. I'm guessing the manager was having issues with entitled teenagers thinking it was okay to carry on personal conversations while ignoring other customers or job duties.

"REGARDLESS OF WHETHER "THE CUSTOMER" IS A FRIEND OR A FAMILY MEMEBER, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO COME INTO THE STORE AND SIT DOWN AND ENJOY THEIR MEAL, THEY HAVE SEATS DON'T THEY?"

So now friends and family members of employees can't even step foot into the store? Again I doubt this.

"THE EMPLOYEE WAS NOT BEING BOTHERED BY FRIEND NOR(sic) FAMILY MEMBER. YES THERE WAS A FAMILY MEMBER AND A FRIEND THERE, BUT PAYING CUSTOMERS, SPEAKING WITH OTHER PAYING CUSTOMERS, MANAGEMENT HAS PERSONAL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED."

So the manager has a problem with paying customers speaking with other customers? Again, doesn't sound legit. If the employees were not being "bothered by" (speaking with) their loved ones while they are working then why does the manager have to remind them not to have conversations with friends and family while working? I also wonder about these "personal issues" the manager apparently has. I wonder if it has something to do with managing a subway and getting harrassed by the tween friends of their employees over how they they tell their employees how to do their job?

Yes, the customer no matter friend or family should be able to eat there. And from what you said, they are allowed to. The only thing they are not allowed to do is converse personally with their friend/family member. There is nothing wrong with that.

I'm sure your friend or family member got in trouble because you were chatting. Just don't do it next time. It's simple. You can eat there all you want, just leave them alone.

Subway lack of meat on breakfast sandwiches

Subway has gotten to be one of the worse fast food places with their practice of skimping on the meat and high prices, I urge everyone with a complaint, to go online to the BBB.org (Better Business Bureau) to file a complaint..
I use to go to eat the breakfast sandwiches, wasn't much meat on them so I had to order double meat just to taste the meat, then they cut the amount even further, so there was hardly anything on it, the last time, I took sandwich and threw it out as I walked out the door.. Wrote to their headquarters, no answer the first time.. Subway has gotten to be a big rip off, a lot better places to eat, so file a complaint, they get enough complaints from the BBB, they would be wise to take their customers sersiously.. headquarters address for when you file a complaint;

Subway rude manager grace refused to honor coupon, unable to read.

Manager Grace Subway @ El Camino and Watt Ave, Not only could she not read the coupon in her hand, but she lied about how I could reach a Subway manager. She insisted that I had to buy a sandwich to get one free. The coupon I had said simply in plain English to buy a drink before 11am and receive a free sandwich. There was no language about requiring to purchase a sandwich first. It was obvious she did not know how o read. Why does Subway employee anyone especially managers hat can't read. She should be fired for lying about how to reach a manager .
