Marlboro bad cigarettes

I have been smoking for seven years now and for the past couple of weeks every pack of marlboro lights that I purchase are bad. They burn out about halfway through each cigarette, it is very weird and this has never happened before. The only way I know how to describe it is that the cigarettes just don't burn right anymore and this is the only brand that I smoke. Cigarettes are way to expensive and i'm tired of spending almost six dollars a pack and not being able to enjoy them. I have been a loyal marlboro consumer for a long time now but if this continues I am going to have to switch to a different brand. Please check into this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Marlboro chemical taste

As a long time user of your product "Marlboro" red box I am now a little concerned that the taste of your product has now changed.

I am now detecting a harsh dry chemical taste.

My question is. Has your company done something to alter the cigarettes and their taste. Perhaps there are new government guidlines or safety recommendations that is resulting in the changes you have made.

I have enjoyed this brand over the years, but now I ponder whether to change brands alltogether.

I would hate to change but I can no longer tolerate this dreadful taste and after taste.

Marlboro won't stay lit

Your cigarettes have been very bad lately. They keep going out and cause problems, because you have to be very careful that they don't start burning anything when this happens because you never know if the fire has fallen on something or if it just went out. I've been smoking these for years and never had a problem until lately. Very disapointed in them.

My mother and I have smoked Marlboro for 10 years plus and for about 4 months our cigarettes won't stay lit and when we open our pack we have at least 3-4 that are broken at the butt of the cigarette and we are very disappointed u might think 3 or 4 broken is ok but that soon adds up times are hard right now we was thinking about going to another brand but we love our Marlboro cigarettes but we have no choice because we are losing alot of money if we stay with Marlboro 😭

ya know, this new burn thing has been in the "law books" for fire safe smoking...i think they should go around and put an automatic shut off in peoples car so that they just shut off after like 4 minutes of driving, just in case the are about to get into a wreck cause WRECKS CAN BE PREVENTED..this is funny to me actually..funny bull crap

I have been smoking Marlboro's for 51 years and I don't know what they have done to them but they have a terrible taste and burn up faster and go out while you smoke them. You can't inhale them to get the taste and they seem so coarse. You have to have good suction and puff several times to get the taste but they smell so nasty also. It's hard for me to quit smoking, so now I must try other brands that are better. I have been a loyal smoker to Marlboro all these years and to pay for a bad tasting cigarette. Marlboro has done an injustice to the tobacco industry. Also I would like to add that I have never smoked marijuana but have seen on TV how they burn and Marlboro burn the same way. Very, Very disappointed and upset with Marlboro.

Marlboro stale, harsh, old tobacco

I recently purchases two packs of Marlboro Mediums, and became quite upset, and downright angry that they were the worst packs of cigarettes I've ever tasted. I literally was unable to finish the packs, and swore off Marlboro's. Luckily I love your product, but also believe for the price I pay I should be able to enjoy every drag. Keep a close eye on your tabacco, and let establishments, and non-smoking salesmans know that we cigarette fans often compare a good smoke to a fine dinner. Please respond back.

Marlboro marlboro lights fsc

I have smoked MARLBORO lights for 20 years. it is my one remaing vice, that i rather enjoy or use to enjoy. smoking use to be relaxing for me. now with these new FSC smokes it is frustrating. they extiguish when i am smoking them and i cant seem to put them out when i want too. i swear they even have an UNAPPEALING taste to them now. i have also noticed HEADACHES becoming more frequent with every cigarette. i have come to a solid decision and will CEASE TO PURCHASE any PHILIP MORRIS products. philip morris has really ### upon its most loyal of customers. so with that, i travel along this path of life smoke free. it is time for you too suck me philip morris. sincerly, dennis joseph difebbo.

I agree with all the other ppl here complaining, I actually passed out from the ### in these cigarettes . what is in them anyway? I, just like some of the other ppl thought i got a bad batch of cigs. unknowingly it was the fsc in the damn things. I personally think it is ###. I am gonna change brands of cigs. and i have been loyal to smokeing marlboro lights for about 15 years. I will be makeing my first purchase of another brand today, anything that doesnt have that nasty tasteing ### in it. I also have had bad headaches from these cigs. And just to test the cig to see if it would go out, it will holding it in your fingers but if you hold the cig with the fire end down it will not go out, so for them to say it is makeing it safer for ppl, it is a bunch of crap.

This is outrageous, as is everything these communist governments do today. If the people and companies (who are not in bed with these slime) don't stand up and say no more soon, America will be little different than Germany in the 1930s and 1940s.

This is a blatant, outright violation of the US Constitutionally protected God given rights of every individual, and violate the Constitutions of EVERY state which has passed this Draconian law.

These things are MUCH MORE dangerous for starting fires, than the ones that have been made for decades. Of course though, when they are the cause of a fire that kills a whole family, there is nothing the survivors can do, as you cannot sue these communist governments.

America, wake up before it is too late. If the Germans would have done so sooner, many tens of millions of lives would have been saved.

Note: The reason for these is NOT to make them safer for starting fires, they are worse, it is another attempt to stop people from doing something they enjoy, while robbing them in the process with outrageous prices and taxes.

OMG! I thought I had a bad batch of cigarettes. THIS Is OUTRAGEOUS! And we can blame Obama for doing this as well. Ive been having MASSIVE HEADACHES...MIGRAINES since this has come about. PEOPLE are angry and are changing brands. THIS is awful..THE GOVT has NO RIGHTS to do something like this..HOW DO WE know that NOW they arent twice as bad for us as before. WHO knows what they have ADDED to this product. If I am going to smoke, it's my BUSINESS i pay for my healthcare and my HOMEOWNERS insurance NOT THE GOVT. PHILLIP MORRIS needs to stand up and RETAKE THEIR PRODUCT or they will be ANOTHER BUSINESS the govt will have on the UNEMPLOYMENT LINE! STOP the Govt takeover of our PRIVATE LIVES!

Well, I spent most of the past 2 hours riding around town and stocking up on non-fsc cigarettes. Once I've used them up, I'm going to be done. I was looking to stop smoking anyway, but to be forced to do so really pisses me off. I say "forced" because there's no way I'm going to keep smoking cigarettes that are treated with these chemicals. Like the other people have said, not only do they go out early, but they give you headaches, are hard to relight (and put out-unless you let the ring of chemicals do it for you that is) and they taste terrible compared to what they taste like without the "rings of death". This is no surprise, really. The government has been trying to make cigarettes illegal in some way, shape or form and this is the closest they can come to that right now. Forcing this crap down our throats so we'll quit. Well, you win because I'm done very soon. Wonder how much of a loss Phillip Morris is going to take on this...

Marlboro quality

I am smoking marlboro lights from last three years now. I have found a lot of duplicate marlboro lights cigarettes here in india. this time when I travelled abroad I could not buy cartons from there as lack of time. so I bought two cartons (10GBPound each) from the alpha duty free in india at the indra gandhi international airport, new delhi day on the 17th. today I opened n smoked one cigarette. since than my throat is choking, and its been paining now. its been almost 10 hours to that. I felt it was just like the duplicate but was not beleiving so just had it. but I realise later it was duplicate. idont know what to do with the two cartons. if you want I can give u the bill no. as well. kindly check the quality of cigarettes in india n control duplicacy.
I always felt the ones made in switzerland were good. but this onws made in switzerland and is still like the duplicates.

Marlboro increased fire hazard

The new "fire safe" cigarette is more of a fire hazard now than ever! Just aboout every time I smoke a cigarette, either part of the cherry falls off the tip of the cigarette onto my hand or arm, or it will fall onto the furniture. This is dangerous! I have never burned holes in my couch until this new supposedly "safer" cigarette came along. We need the old cigarettes back for the safety of our families and ourselves. I do not want to deal with anymore blisters on my hands and arms, holes in my couch, and holes in my clothing! It is ridiculous! But more importantly, I do not want to leave my house one day and come back to a home that is burned to the ground!

It is true about the new fire hazard cigs with the menthol 100"s I never dropped the head of the cigarette. Now they don't burn right and the head of the cigarette falls all over my chair. Big mistake and more hazardness to these new cigs. Stop making them or there will be more fires. I am scard that i will make a fire and also thinking of trying another brand of cigarettes.------Thank You in Florida

Marlboro fsc cigarettes

I have been fussing to almost anyone who would listen that my cigarettes kept going out. I was also constantly rinsing my mouth with scope because I kept getting a horrible taste in my mouth that I wasnt used to after I smoked. Then I heard a commercial about the FSC and the 30 seconds. Well, these cigarettes suck and yall could really lose alot of business with them. Whatever filler you are using to make them go out.. IT TASTE LIKE CRAP. Fix the damn cigarettes already!

I Have noticed over the last couple of months that Marlboro Reds have been going out shortly after they are lit. this is highly irritating, i cant even put the cig down for a minute before it goes out, also when i try to relight it it goes up in flames wich cant possibly be safe. Im very irritated about this and it needs to be fixed! or i will have to find a new brand ive been smoking this brand for 8 years so i dont want to do this.

A month or 2 ago I noticed that my cigarettes seemed to be burning out everytime I set them down. Initially I thought that I had purchased a stale pack of cigarettes. They paper burned in a similiar fashion, creating an uneven burn and leaving brown marking on the paper. I statred asking other people if they had noticed anything different. One of my friends finally told me about the supposed "fire safe cigarette". Until today doing some research online and realized new laws have been passed requiring this type of cigarette. There is nothing safe about these cigarettes. I have been burned a few times already re-lighting them because when you relight them the paper does not burn evenly and smalls pieces of burning paper fly away. This is going to cause a fire. Also, how safe is it if I have to inhale twice as hard when smoking the cigarette. I know smoking isn't healthy but producung cigarettes that require the smoker to inhale more deeply is a good thing? In a atmosphere where cigarette smoking has become more much less popular and are promoting quiting smoking they are making smokers inhale more deeply? Also groups who have promoted these new FSC's boast that there is no change to the cigarette therefore they are no worse for our health. As everyone knows cigaretee manufacturers lied to the public by withholding information regarding carcinogens in cigarettes causing lung cancer so why would we believe these new studies from groups that claim this new paper will not have an even more adverse affect on our health than the non-FSC.

I have been smoking Marlbor brand for 22 years. Recently I have been getting headaches, nausea, dizziness and a constant sore throat from smoking them. I have not had any of these issues until they started selling the FSC ciggerettes. I am 100% sure that the FSC ciggerettes are the cause.
I started smoking them and became ill. About three weeks ago I found a store that still carried the non FSC Marlboros. I started smoking those and all of my symptoms were gone. The store has now ran out of the non FSC ciggerettes and for the past 3 days I have been smoking the FSC ciggerettes again and all of my symptoms have returned.

Were thes ever tested by the FDA? How sick will we get before they stop making these?

Yes the symptoms sound familiar. Sore throat, dry mouth, respiratory infection, chills, fever, body aches, headaches . Most doctors would say you have the flu or maybe strep throat. My doctor doesn't know what I have and I have had these symptoms every since these fsc cigarettes have been on the market. The tobacco companies have a bad reputation with telling the truth in the past. Why should things change now. Maybe when the American people quit buying their products and start growing and selling their own. The multibilion dollar tobacco industry will understand that we don't need them. Even if it means another product gone to the black market. The American smoker will change and get their untampered cigarettes one way or the other. The tobacco companies would be naive to think that smokers would not know the difference in their product. These things are making people sick and should be banned for health purposes. The public should have been informed prior to their poisoning from this tainted merchandise. Any one care to talk about long term effects. Within 4-6 weeks of these fsc's I have had these symptoms develop and I am normally a healthy, active person but these symptoms seem to be lingering. I plan to grow my own tobacco and sell it, whether legal or not. If I am going to [censored] with cigarettes, I want to do it on my own terms

Marlboro fire safe cigarettes

I have been a loyal Marlboro consumer for 30 years now. I always used the same brand, until now. The new FSC (fire safe cigarette) has changed the dynamics of the product to the extent that it is no longer enjoyable. I now use KOOL by RJ Reynolds.
I understand that many states are now requiring FSC cigs. This because 700 to 900 people are killed nationwide by fires caused by CARELESS use of smoking products. The key word here folks is CARELESS. How many people die annually due to alcohol related deaths?
Or fireplace fires?
People die and will continue to die every year from making bad decisions wheather driving, walking, flying, smoking, you name it.
Lets just get to the core of the problem and outlaw stupidity.
Better dust of those resumes if you work for Philip Morris.

BAD MOVE PHILIP MORRIS! YOU'VE JUST BURNED YOURSELVES.

Marlboro marlboro print on cigarettes

I bought a pack of Marlboro 100's and when I smoke a cigarette, I can hardly get a hit off it. Because where they printed the marlboro on the cigarette. The o was stamped too hard creating a hole. And you don't get a full hit when you try to smoke it. I've had several packs purchased at our local gas station that had the same results.

Marlboro fraudsters and cheaters

When the Attorney General cracked down on car dealers in early 2008 and hit them with huge fines, I would have thought that the deceitful advertising In Massachusetts would have been cleared up. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Marlboro Nissan.

Marlboro Nissan, located in Marlboro MA, serving the Worcester market, continues to use pressure selling. Now, however, they do not even bother to try to make you happy! All over the internet, they advertise on AutoTrader and Cars.com as well as their own website marlboronissan.com with hidden money. They advertise a low buy price designed to get unassuming customers like myself in the door, then hit you with their hidden fees and get pissed off if you do not accept it.

Where is the Massachusetts Attorney General now? I hope this report gets a good Google ranking and sticks right next to Marlboro Nissan's own website. Therefore, other consumers like me do not take a drive to a place that starts their consumer process by lying to their potential customers.

Marlboro Nissan ripped me off by wasting my time. I even called a sales rep on the phone to confirm the price and that there was no catch and they still lied and said that the price as advertised is all I would have to pay.

Deceitful & Dishonest is how I would characterize Marlboro Nissan!

Ever think there might be someone out there going after all dealers? It is funny how any time bad press comes against Marlboro Nissan they point the finger directly at Bertera Nissan. When if something comes against Bertera they try and handle it... But do as you must.

If you do some digging on ripoffreprt.com, or you google Bertera Nissan. You will see that this was an article that was written by a consumer about Bertera Nissan. It looks Bertera Nissan has reposted the exact same content about their biggest competitor, Marlboro Nissan. Just goes to show how a dishonest dealership will attempt to cover up their dishonesty, by being...well dishonest!

Marlboro fsc

I have smoked Marlboro Reds soft pack for 34 years. I understand the you fought the Federal govenment about FSC and won. Now the states are making you comply with FSC standards. However in AZ the law is not in effect and in NV it is not on the agenda at the statew government level.
How many people die from smoking related fires? 2500 give or take. How many will die form high B/p the cough, headaches, tightness in the chest ect. and the loss of voice from smoking FSC. Many more and how much will this cost your company? If I was a share ho;lder I would get out now.
Bring back the non FSC in AZ until the law goes into effect and in NV until forced to do so.
I spend $450.00 to smoke and will either change brands or quit!
I drink Coke, ware Levis 505's and smoke Marlboro Red soft pack, I AM BRAND loyal, so do the right thing for all of us!
I would like a response from someone who makes these decisions for your company.
Many people I know who smoke are either changing brands to get away from Marlboro's or quiting!
DO THE RIGHT THING!

yeah. its ridiculous that they changed a good thing. you don't fix what isn't broken. FSC cigarettes give me heart and chest pains, as well as dry mouth. My best friend lost his grandparents in a cigarette started fire. even he says fsc cigarettes are ridiculous and taste like ###. please bring back the real Marlboro Reds. Thank you.

i dont quite understand how to identify if the cigaretts are FSC... if its supposed to say FSC by or above the barcode, then these are not FSC... as a matter of fact, i dont see the letters FSC AnyWhere on this pack of Reds... ive been buying reds and newports here in NC for years now, as far as here lately goes, just 2 days ago i bought a pack of newports, which had FSC above the barcode, but not the Marlboros?

I agree with David above! I've been smoking Marlboro Reds for 22 years, and can't BELIEVE Phillip Morris would change a winner without even asking their loyal customers. All of a sudden I'm running around to every small cigarette selling place to see how many cartons they have of Marb Reds that are Non-FSC so I can smoke my brand as long as possible.

Before I realized what happened I had smoked a carton or two of the FSC smokes, and I was coughing, dry mouth, wheesing etc. What a crock that you guys just did that to your loyal customers! Now I have to look on the "Black Market" to see where to get non-fsc marb reds...

Please reverse this!

I know a guy who works for the phillip morris company of tobaccos. he says that every so often tobacco companies add more nicotine and other chemicals in their cigarettes to make them more addictive. then as your body gets used to that level you decide to switch to lights. about that time the tobacco company will decrease the nicotine and other addictive chemicals... giving you a stronger craving. you have to buy the stronger brand again. This could be your headache, nausia... withdrawl symptoms/overdose symptoms

Marlboro bleach or chlorine

I lit a Marlboro menthol 100 cigarette and immediately tasted and smelt a strong odor of bleach or chlorine that filled the house immediately with the smell, burning everyone in the houses eyes. I would like to know what I can do about this! I kept the cigarette and have it in an envelope.

Our Marlboro menthol both shorts and 100's have been burning irregular. Sometimes they even just stop burning completely.
