Indian Railways azad hind express running late

Hi,
Azad Hind express is running almost 8 hrs late from schedule everyday. This causing inconvenience to passengers. It is said by railway dept that the delay is due to safety of people. If a government cannot ensure safety for night running trains then the late schedule will remain for ever. Is it enough reason for creating inconvenience. I had booked this train tickets assuming I will reach my destination in the morning. But now if it reaches in the evening, I have to go for flight tickets. This is ridiculous.please take necessarry steps.

I'm traveling right now in azadhind express (AC 3 tair coach number B6. I had a bad experience in this train . I saw a couple of rats were running in this train and there is no protection for that . I asked to IRCTC members they told me very casually it is very normal matter and they don't have any protection for that. And one more thing I don't like toilet is too much dirty and compartment's windows also very dirty not even able to see outside.

Government should make the timings permanent in whichever way it feels considering the security of the people. One more victim is added in this list & that's me... Late arrival.. Late departure & what not... Azad Hind Express - The worst train ever

I also absoloutely agree with Sujoy. I lived in Nagpur, Earlier I used to prefer this train becoz of its convinient timings. It used to departs from Nagpur at 03:40 PM and reaches Pune at 6:00 AM. Now it is delaying inconsistently by 6-7-8-9 Hrs. So if Railway is delaying due to security reasons then atleast it should have specific delay from each station. So that passengers can start accordingly. Only people benefiting from this were private bus operators. They are charging like anything. Local authorities dosent have control on that also. God help indian railways..

If any responcible officer from Railway Department is seeing this blog, then please make the procedure to change the railway time table or atleast update it on reservation site. So the people will get to know and they can schedule there journey properly.

It's better to take Air Tickets...atleast we reach home on time. This is simply rediculous and we can't do any thing. Jaago India Jaago...why do we pay money for getting not a good service...We are proud of Indian Railways, but at the same time rules should be in place. How can a train be always late for so many months? If not possible then why can't they change the timings of train.

It's being so many months, why can't Railway Dept change the timings of AZAD HIND train itself

I agree with this. I had a similar incident in Feb 1st week. Due to that, I had cancelled my plan to visit my home town. If azad hind express is running late, it should be reflected on railway reservation govt sites.

Indian Railways complaint against irctc (idian railways

I, Jatinder Singh S/o S.InderPal Singh booked an Confirmed E-Tkt on 131-Up / Train No.2459, NDLS ASR Exp from New Delhi to Amritsar as on Journey date 10-09-2010 against PNR No. [protected] and Trasaction ID : [protected] from Agent a/c of IRCTC on line Tkt reservation system. Further my Booking status : Confirm; Coach : D6; Seat No.:98 & 102 (D6). But to my surprise, at the time of boarding in the train, I found that 'There is NO Reservation Coach/ portion of a Coach whre I can get my Reserved seat to do the journey. I also informed the matter to the On-duty Guard of the Train, but found a more helpless condition of the person who informed me that 'The said train is running with ONLY 90Berth Coaches and No Reserved Coach or porion of a Coach to find my Seat against which I booked the Confirmed Tkt from IRCTC. The Guard, certified the fact on my Electronic Reservation Slip with his signature & date.

Now, as a result of the above situation, I had to take a lot of Tension, time loss and Pain to reach to my destination, i.e., Amritsar by alternate means making huge unexpected expenditure and moreover I had to suffer a lot in respect of my Relatives, I gone to Amritsar to Attend the death Ceremony of my close Relative. My Wife Herleen Kaur has been Pregnant & suffer so much pain in between Journey.when i Boarded to train i searched for my seat & found that there was no seats after 90 berth in the trian.Atlast T.T came to us & demanded bribe, I refused to gave him the bribe. He thrown us out from the train at Ambala station. My wife requested him alot but he refused to help us.My wife was in pain, I stayed on the Ambala Station for more then 4 hour.My wife was in need of a doctor but there was no doctor on the station. Then i managed to took the taxi to nearest hospital.

Therefore, I do hereby request you to do the following at the earliest, please.
1) Refund my reservation amount for which I was not provided any Reserved seat against my booking.

2) Intimate me the Reason behind such an unexpected, unwarranted harrassment with an bonafide passenger on 'Indian Railways'.

3) How the IRCTC authority is going to Compensate towards my 'LOSSES' in respect of Money, Time and Pain above all damage to my Service due to the above stated situation.

I expect that, the Concerned Authority would respond to my Genuine complaint within a reasonable and justified time and take the Proper measures to Compensate the Victim of 'non-compliance of Promised services after taking payment for the same'.If you failed to reply me then i will go to the Legal Services.

Thanking you and waiting for your reply,

Indian Railways 84 year old senior citizen given side upper berth!!! absolutely wrong practice by railways

Dear Madam Banerjee,

I would like to bring forth the nuisance that the Railways employees have created in Mumbai. I have booked my tickets with my wife, mother and 84 years old grandmother. Despite requesting several times at the station counter for issuing lower berth tickets for senior citizen, the railways ticket issuing officer refused to issue lower berth and resultantly has issued a side upper berth for my grandmother.

I would request your kind attention on this, and understand how is it possible for an 84 year old lady to access her side upper berth as well as access toilets throughout the journey... It is shameful that such a ticket was issued by shameless ticket issuing officers in Mumbai.

Ticket information:
PNR No: [protected]
Ticket No: [protected]
Date of Journey: 24-11-2010
Journey: Train 2952 (New Delhi to Mumbai Central)
Ticket Issued on 26-08-2010 at 15:13 hours
Berth Type: 2nd AC

Thank You,
Anuj Jain, grandson of Smt. Kamladevi Jain

Indian Railways the introduction of the side middle berth in the sleeper coaches of trains has made train travel a nightmare experience

The introduction of the side middle berth in the sleeper coaches of trains has made train travel a nightmare experience. The original 8-seater systems was quite comfortable and could accommodate (most of the time!) both passengers and luggage even on long-distance trains. Now with the additional side middle berth being introduced, there is a terrible squeeze. It is impossible for three persons to site and travel on the side berth, since they necessarily now have to site facing the passage and obstruct the movement of people. This leads to constant irritation and several knocks to knees and feet!

As for the person having to sleep on the side middle berth, he/she has no access to the fan or window and can barely breath in the confined space even as the person in the top berth is squeezed against the roof! Incidentally, the side middle berth is also across the emergency window/exits! In case there is an accident or fire, there will be no easy access to these escape routes. Given the increasing number of accidents and other disasters in trains such as fires, the new berths are a virtual death sentence to passengers.

If the Railways under Minister Laloo Yadav want to earn more revenue, let them introduce more bogies to accommodate more passenger or raise fares, honestly! This introduction of a middle berth is a major fraud and hoax on the travelling public.

The night mare for long distance travel has to be experienced to be understood.

Indian Railways I and my family could not get our reserved seats up to ludhiana

I with my wife and daughter boarded train no.2445- Uttar Sampark Kranti Express on 21.04.2007 at 11.30PM for Jammu. My seats were reserved in Coach No.S5 with birth no. 41 to 43. I was stunned to find that some people had already occupying my seats and inspite of my showing them the duly reserved ticket, they declined to vacate my seats and instead started using abusive language. They claimed that they have been alotted these seats by TTE Sh.Manjit Singh. When I traced the TTE Sh.Manjit Singh, he was under the influence of liquor and was sitting in AC compartment of the train. On that very day, no TTE of railways ever came to our compartment S5 to check the tickets upto Jammu. The compartment had more than 40 passengers who were not having reservation in that very compartment. But so called TTE Sh.Manjit Singh who was responsible for this situation was enjoying in AC coach . I am of the opinion that all these unauthorised people had paid extra money to TTE Sh.Manjit Singh for being accomodated in coach S5. When I approached GRP staff on duty in the train, they also did not cooperate. I and my family could not get our reserved seats up to Ludhiana.

Indian Railways avoid indian railways at all costs

We had complained against the station manager Sh. Satish Yadav, who due to his vested interests bypassed the recommendation of Sh. Kailash Vijayvargye, Minister for Public Works Deparetment, Government of M.P

On 12/6/05, I had to travel from Indore to Mumbai Central ( 2 seats) by train no. 2962 in class 2-AC, the PNR no. was [protected] Sh. Kailash Vijayvargye, Minister for Public Works Deparetment, Government of M.P, on his letter head recommended to confirm the reservation in VIP quota.

On being contacted to confirm the reservation at 12.30 in the noon, Station Master Sh Satish Yadav informed that as M.Ps are traveling on that day, it will not be possible to confirm the seats in 2-AC class. He asked me to get a ticket for 3-AC which he assured to confirm from VIP quota of 12 seats. I bought ticket of 3-AC class for 2 persons (ticket no. [protected], PNR no. [protected]).

Inspite of the quota of 12 VIP seats and assuring me of confirmation of seat in 3-AC, Sh. Satish Yadav deliberately did not confirm the seat due to his vested & malafide interests. When I tried to contact him on tel no. 2527585 in this regard, his phone was continuously ringing between 1pm to 4 pm but he did not pick up the phone as he had dishonestly allotted the seats for his vested interests.

I request that a genuine enquiry should be conducted in the matter to find out as to who was so important to whom the seats from the VIP quota were allotted by Station Master, Sh. Satish Yadav.

Indian Railways suffocated inside ac compartment

I was travelling with my wife in 2835, Hatia - Yesvantpur Superfast Express on last Tuesday (22-Jun-2010) in coach number B3. From the beginning of the journey there was no water supply in the toilets. To add on top of it, suddenly on the day 1 of the journey, sometime after midnight the ACs stopped working in our coach. Initially we didn't realized, however during early morning (of day 2) all passengers started complaining. Since it's summer and there used to be absolutely no air ventilation in the AC compartments, it started suffocating inside. We kept complaining to the attendant, to the Ticket Checker and whomever it was possible, but everything went in vein. We kept asking for the complaint book but no one availed it to us (actually it was no where there). Finally during 7:3o in the evening the attendant informed us that one of the compressors has failed because the compartment was manufactured during 1997 and it cannot take the load. He kept postponing a fix for this issue and finally with utter nuisance we reached Yesvantpur. It was nothing but a horrendous journey (courtesy our great Indian Railway), which I pray no one should ever have in there life. I've the following questions:

1) How can a department like Indian Railway be such irresponsible to give a green flag to such long distance train, without absolutely not checking the technical fitness of all compartments?

2) Most of the passengers who travel in this particular train are patients (because of well connectivity with Vellore). What if someone would have lost there life inside because of the suffocation? Who should have been held responsible for that?

3) We've paid money for travelling in an AC compartment. Will Indian Railway refund the money because we faced the trouble?

Indian Railways waiting tickets given preference over rac tickets

I, V.K. Shukla, am travelling with my daughter from Gorakhpur Junction to Howrah on train number 5048 (Purvanchal Express) in coach no. S8 seat no. 15, have not been given confirmed seat even though some seats are vacant.
I had a RAC ticket which should be confirmed before waiting tickets. I and my daughter have to share one seat even though some seats are vacant. The TTE is confirming some waiting tickets but not the RAC ones.
The train is about to reach Barauni. This is highly irresponsible on the part of Indian Railways.

Many times I travelled with huge waiting list ticket and got confirmation. Keep some amount inside the ticket then TT will allocate the berth. I know it is corruption because of this matter in general TT will not follow the order to allocate.

Very sad we can’t change the government officers…

Indian Railways misbehavior by tte

Complaint about the misbehavior of TTE - Mr. N.Devasundaram, Deputy CTA, Erode

I am a doctor practicing in Kochi. I had to travel by the Nagore Express from Ernakulam Jn. to Ottapalam on 29th. May 2010 for an emergency purpose. Since it was an emergency, I could not book my berth in advance. However, on suggestion from the Railway enquiry, I bought a regular ticket to Ottapalam and decided to try my luck of getting a berth with the TTE. I boarded the S2 coach and sat beside the Police constable who was the security in charge in the train. The constable reassured me that there were berths available and that I need not board the general unreserved coach. The train soon left the station and started moving at high speeds.

The TTE Mr. N. Devasundaram reported for his routine check whereupon I requested him to allot me a berth, if possible. He said it was not possible at all and that I should try my luck in the AC coach. He also added that I should leave the coach immediately. I walked up to the AC coach only to be told by the TTE there that there was no berth available in the AC coach too. I walked back and requested the TTE Mr. Devasundaram to somehow allot me a seat till Ottapalam. He retorted very rudely and asked me to go out of the compartment. I walked ahead and sat in one of the vacant seats in the S2 coach, waiting to alight when the train stopped next, to go to the unreserved compartment, as there is no connection of the rest of the compartments with the unreserved coaches. This was when the TTE approached me again. He was very rude. He asked me to go out of the coach. I asked him how I could get out of the coach when the train was moving. He did not have the patience to listen to me, but told me that I should not be seen next time he comes that way. I walked along the aisle and stayed close to the door to alight and get into the unreserved compartment when the train stops at the next station. Soon afterwards, the TTE came up again with a shower of abuses. He threatened to impose a fine on me... I asked him to fine me immediately. I produced my ticket and told him that I'm a person who obeys laws of the land that I was only happy to pay a fine as I had erred by entering a reserved coach without a reservation. He fined me. Now, I requested him to be a little more polite with passengers... he started abusing me... I asked him his name and designation when he flew up in a big rage and continued hurling abuses... and that he is willing to fight a case upto the Supreme court if I'm to face him legally. He asked me to get out of the apartment immediately. I told him that I'll take this case of misbehavior with the concerned authorities... I got out of the compartment at the next station and continued my journey in the unreserved compartment.

As a patriotic Indian, I feel depressed when I think of such arrogant public servants... It is a disgrace for the country as well as the organization to have such people on rolls... they should be taken to task and reprimanded for their improper behavior. I fervently hope some authority in the Indian Railway sees this posting and takes appropriate steps against this extremely arrogant railway employee Mr. N. Devasundaram, Deputy CTA, Erode.

Indian Railways poor food quality and coach maintenance

Sir,

This is to bring to your notice that the food served in 2703/2704 Falaknuma Express from SC-HWH-SC is completely Veg. There is no option for N-Veg food and furthermore the food quality is worst ever than it was 3 years back. Once I asked one of IRCTC Boy and to my surprise what he told is as follows:-
"Sir, the owner of this catering is a Vegan so still he is here no N-Veg is to be supplied".
Its a punishment for guys like us to just survive on this veg food and with only egg available (which better to be avoided). The quality of chappati that is served is soo hard that one would break his.her teeth.

Similar is the coach maintenance as we find cockroaches and rats running everywhere. Many of a time I have written in their feedback form but nothing seems to happen. This is not only in 3 Tier, but also in AC II Tier. Its a menance.

This train is one of the best train like us guys travelling from SC-HWH and back.

It would be very good if these things are looked into which will no doubt make the train to the best likings of its passengers.

With best regards,
Subhro Gupta

Indian Railways complan against fake ticket brokers

I m Surendra khandelwal from new Delhi. I traveled from Mumbai central to Nizamuddin station in Delhi, by train "Golden temple mail" on date 19/4/2010. My ticket was not conformed, one man came to me and said that he can arrange a ticket for me. He took Rs. 3000 from me and gave me a fake ticket for the train and told me that after Surat station T.T. will give me my seat in 2tier A.C. coach. But when T.T. came he told me that this is not a valid ticket and i have to pay penalty now. Then he made a new ticket for me in the normal non-a.c. coach for Rs. 820. And all those fake ticket brokers at the Mumbai central station are doing this work in the presence of railway police and other railway officers. And i was not the only victim, there were many other passengers who suffered a lot because of those ticket brokers. Please take some needful action against these type of anti-social elements of society as well as against the Railway police and officers who are involved in these activities.

Indian Railways waiting list passengers boarding the reserved compartment

I was travelling with my family from Kopargoan to Bangalore in Karnatak Express, reserved compartment S-2 on 17th April. During the day time I understand that most of compartment become unreserved compartment and passenger with open tkt also travel in reserved compartment. However I had problem during the night. There were so many passengers with unconfirmed tkts travelling in my compartment. When I enquired with Ticket Examiner Mr.S.Sivanand, I was told that such people also paid the same fare and travelling without the facility to sleep. Almost all the side upper births were occupied with 2 or 3 passengers.

My query is, whether any number of people with unconfirmed tkts can enter the reserved compartment ?
If no, who is responsible for evicting such passengers. If yes, why other passengers to pay reservation charges ?

It appears indian railway issue the tkts recklessly to earn more during the vacation / summer season, instead arranging more trains. Each compartment was filled with 50 % more than the allotter seats/berths, resulting horrible experience to passengers, who booked the tkt well in advance and the compartment become very unclean due to over crowding.

I have booked railway ticket from indian railways at aroung 8:10 AM which was a 90 days before ticket.Still i was getting waiting list in all tha class. The ticket was from CSTM to AUBR. Was is it that if you book a ticket from Mumbai to any where in Bihar whether it is a 90 days before ticket u get waiting list. Was government is not ensuring and stopping agents who are taking tickets and selling them in black ( Even i had purchased a ticket from Pune to Patna which cost around 400 at 1500).There are various brokers who are selling these tickets at any price.

I am writing in to complain that on the 28TH july 2017, I was travelling to jammu from delhi (anand vihar terminal) via train no.- 0403A anand vihar terminal jammu tawi special on ticket PNR no.[protected].enroute to jammu the train halted at chakki bank station for almost half an hour and then all passengers were rudely in formed, not by announcement on the public address system, but by a sweeper who from outside the compartment just shouted at everone that the train would proceed no further due to water on the tracks ahead, and that a train coming from behind would take us to our destination.the passengers panicked and tried to complain to authorities but none came to our rescue. Worse they disappeared from the station and left the passengers to fend for themselves.this happened at 11:30 am and finally a train arrived at 1:00 pm to takes us to jammu. The train was already packed to capacity and one can imagine passengers from 2 trains travelling in one train.
With kids and family it was a harrowing time to travel the distance from chakki bank to jammu.the kind of co-opeartion from the station staff and rpf and other railway staff is best known by the railway department.
Sir, I would like to take this complaint to the highest possible level and demand an immediate enquiry as to what the circumstances were which led to just 1 train unable to proceed to jammu when all other trains could?
I am not sure if you have ever suffered the ignominy that that proceeded the train cancellation and subsequent aftermath of the action?
is the same treatment meted out to passengers who travel by airoplane?
Do we not pay to get our tickets reserved(mine was a tatkal ticket) ?
Are we not human enough to warrant such indecent behavior?
Who is answerable to such rash decisions which leaves hundreds of passengers like me stranded mid way our journey?

Sir, I expect a fair enquiry into the matter and a speedy response from your end to the answeres I have raised and demand action against all concerned.
If in case you are unable to respond within 15days I would be forced to approach the consumer forum to seek damages for the financial loss and mental agony I have had to undergo because of this decision.
Looking forward to your response .

Dear Concern
Hi, this is Himanshu Kansal from Patiala (Pb.). This is regarding a complaint regarding the ticket availaibility at Patiala indian railway station. First of at every ticket counter there i in written that passenger could get a return ticket for journey above 200 km in advance. Then why the lady employee at the ticket counter refuses to provide the same when asked to provide the return ticket from delhi to ambala city. She said we can't provide the return ticket. This is not the first time when she refuse for the same. I just want to know that if railway didn't provide the return tickets then why same is written every where or if employee are not willing to work then why they are getting paid higher salaries. They should go home and sit. You will shoked to hear the incident i m telling you that this is regarding what happenz before 2 weeks ago with me. When i approach to railway station to get a retun tickt from delhi to patiala for the next day then the same lady said railway is not providing the return tickets after some time when i approach the another person on the counter regarding the same with someones ref. then he was about to provide the ticket lady sitting beside him said if i have said no then why you are roving the ticket and gets angry on the same. Then he also refuse to give the ticket. Same has been happend withe me toaday ( 10-Mar-10 08.05 pm.).So this is our indian railway service for the passengers. Emlpoyees are not willing to work even then they are getting paid to not povide the services. Another issue regarding the rupee change on the ticket counter. If anyone wants to buy the ticket and if ticket costs rs 12 the the emploee asked the passenger for change of Rs. 2. if passenger gave him/her change then its ok but if you didn't get the change then you will not get you balance back. Same has been happen with every passenger. I didn't understand if 100 passengers out og 200 give the change then what did they do with the same change. They didn't give the balance back to anyone. From this every employee gets approx. Rs. 200-300 extra per day in his packet. This is not fare. That money don't belongs to them. Even then this they do like to work. So plz take the necessary steps to keep the passengers interest in the railway.

I was to board local train from tilaknagar station on harbour line in mumbai.I entered from the end where there was no facility to punch the coupon. The train to panvel was standing there but i chose to find out where the punching machine was & so i did not board the train. The Second train came which i left it the same way only to find the ticket collector asking for the ticket.I tried to convince him the situation but he refused to listen & insisted on paying the fine.I was also having the first Class Pass from khandeshwar to CST but he did not listen.I want to know if there is a target given to ticket collectors for collecting Fine from the Passengers. If so then they are busy in troubling the passengers for their Promotion. The Guy however indulged hmself in quarrel with me though i was with my wife.i would like to receive reply from you regarding the action taken on the matter.please Stop this white corruption(giving pavati for uncommited mistake) .It is shame that railway is going for such irritating things for collecting revenue.great Shame Please take it seriously

I was travelling in AC-2 coach (seat no. AB-19)of mahananda express(Train no-4084 ) . i boarded at allahabad at around 8: 00pm on 23. 08. 09.
and i took my seat .there wer no co- passengers in my compartment of coach.BY 10: 00 pm kept all my belongings (including my vallet )to my carrying bag and, keptmy carrying bag below the seat(as mine was the lower seat) switched off the light and fall asleep.

At around 2: 30 pm when i wake up i saw light of my compartment is on and attendant of coach is doing something( by laying down)
on being asked he told that heis switching on the light of gallery . AS i was in very drowsy, i told him to go out of compartment and again fall asleep.
when i wake up in the morning at 5: 00 am, as i had to get down at barauni station, i statrted checking all my belongings.
on search it is being found that cash of RS.2017/-which was the only amount persent in my vallet is missing.

AS i was left with no money, so i became helpless. On enquiry the name of coach attendent who had come in night was found Rinku kumar yadav. No complaint register was found in coach to register a complaint.
Insted of getting down at barauni station i got down at begusarai station, i met to station in charge over there, he told that this caseis pertaining to GRP. i went to GRP, no one was found there, i kept waiting for around one hour but went in vain.

This is clear case of theft.
i request that a case against the attendent of coach Rinku kr. yadav must be registered and action should be initiated against him.

Indian Railways ticket allotment

I, Sreekumar P (43 yrs), with due regards would like to bring to the notice of the Hon’ble Authority that I had purchased 2 tickets through internet reservation bearing PNR No. [protected] & [protected] from Mangalore to Aluva on 21.03.2010 & 01.04.2010 respectively for the journey to be performed on 04.04.2010 by the Train No.6603 in 3 AC. During this travel my Dad (73 yrs), my son(13 yrs) and my daughter (6 yrs) was along with me.

When I took the above tickets through e-net my first ticket status was W/L 2, 3 & 4 and second ticket status was W/L 8 which was booked later. On Journey date when I have checked my tickets before chart preparation the status was updated to W/L 1, 2, 3 & 6.

I have noticed that the chart was not tagged at the time departure for confirming my tickets so I have no other choice rather than get into 3 AC. I approached the T.T.E and he told me to wait in another compartment since he was busy with chart sorting. After some time when he came and verified my tickets he told me that my tickets are cancelled tickets. I was shocked to hear and further to see that he was alloting berth to W/L 4 & 5 in front of me. I requested so many times to allot me at least 2 tickets so that my father and my daughter can sit there. But he behaved unethically, used harsh words, refused to give the same and charged penality Rs.1387/- for traveling without ticket. This is really surprising policy of indian railway where the the wait-list e-ticket will be automatically cancelled after chart preparation. Eventhough the railway department had provided one more 3 tier AC coach due to heavy rush my ticket was not considered.

I had no other option but to travel in the same train since I have to reach cochin next day itself. The whole night was sleepless and uncomfortable standing journey for me and my family. I travelled a lot in Indian railways and never faced this type of treatment from any railway officials.

In view of the facts stated above I request you to look into this matter and take strict action against the faulty person, who has committed this illegal activity, so that no body can dare in future to commit such type of activities which are spoiling the image of our respectable Railway department. It is also requested that the excess fare charges taken from me as fine may please be refunded and a compensation of Rs.10000/- must be paid to me for the physical and mental harassment faced by me and the activity against my dignity/prestige, otherwise I would have no other alternative but to proceed in the court of law.

Regards,

Sreekumar P

Indian Railways wrong berth information on sampark kranti trains

The Sampark kranti express which runs from Delhi to patna has 9 seats in a coach, but the seat number issued in the ticket is for 8 seats in a coach of 3 - Tier.

If an elderly person reserves a ticket for lower berth, say seat number 9, he will actually get the Side Upper berth according the seating arrangement there.

Same would be happening with other trains with similar arrangements.

Its actually a fraud done by Ministry of railways giving us printed tickets with wrong berth information.

Indian Railways inconvenience at sleeper class

I and my mother had aboard the Kalinga Utkal Express from Sagar (M.P) to Bilaspur (C.G). As we entered the sleeper coach we were shocked to see so many unreserved passengers lying and sleeping inside the sleeper coach. It was very difficult even to walk or even place our foot on the ground. We were loaded with our luggage and locating our seats that to at such a time of 1:00 AM was a nightmare. Those who were sleeping on our berth, when we told them that this is our berth they misbehaved with us and they even abused us and were not allowing us to enter inside. What is very strange that all this "tamasha" was going in front of TTE who was present at the coach. Anyway we got our berth but there was no space to put our luggage. Hence, we put our luggage on our berth and tried to sleep any how but all in vain. Whole journey was disaster, at all station many where entering the coach without reservation. The coach was dirty, noisy, crowd and frustrating.

On another day while going from Durg to Bina, when the Bina station was arriving many "sabjiwalis" were carrying many, large and heavy bundles of vegetables. They kept these bundles on the way of exit. When the station came and train halted I was trying to get down the train carrying my luggage; one of the "sabjiwali" pushed me back heavily and shouted at me saying 'Maine bola na tujhe rukne ko?" I really don't understand who was she to yell at me. She was the one unauthorized inside the sleeper coach.

Then why should any body reserve their tickets, if they can travel more conveniently than those reserved ones. It shows our poor management, performance and dedication of railways. This was just one case we had lot more troubles while going and returning back from Sagar. One more thing I want to add Why we always had to change our train either at Bilaspur, Katni or Bina. Their should be regular and direct train from Durg to Sagar as the route is someways same. May be all these "tamashas" are the regular jobs going inside the Sleepers. Sleeper coach has now became worse than the General ones, any body can enter the sleeper mostly those who has their nature undisciplined, rude, manner-less, very unfair showing their low class category.
