Home Depot actions of a store manager

I was on flight 1953 from Las Vegas to Omaha when trying to find seats for me and my 11 year old daughter, the store mgr from Lincoln Neb Home Depot said she was saving 2 seats, the plane is first come 1st serve and my daughter needed me to sit by her, these seats were the only 2 left together, I asked her politely and she refused to help, luckly a nice man offered to move to a single seat so I could sit with my daughter, then to top it off one of the other store mgrs took a single seat at the front of the plane, so a stranger set with her, I over heard her say how she was a store mgr and how they had there annual meeting in LasVegas, for Home Depot .I will continue to tell my story and never purchase from Home Depot again, this was a horrible act of selfishness from your store mgr from Lincoln Nebraska, what kind of a person does this?

Home Depot an employee at the campbell, ca store

Yesterday, 3/14/2018, I was in the Campbell, CA Home Depot store to pick up some drain cleaner. As I was looking for the brand I use, an employee wheeling a flat cart came up to me (unprovoked) and said, ‘Hello young lady (I am 55 years old!), you are in the wrong section." I replied that I was looking for the drain cleaner. He proceeded to tell me that this was hard core stuff and that HD did not have a "jewelry section". I was offended, but tried to laugh it off as an older man who grew up in a different time. I told him I was quite modern and that I can shop for hardware and that I did not have much jewelry.
He then pointed at his wedding ring and asked if I had one. I said yes and have been married for 28 years. He started to chit chat and we got on the subject of my daughter wanting to get an ice hockey scholarship to play collegiate women's hockey. He then told me he had 3 boys and 1 of them got a scholarship to UC-Davis for baseball. He said is was a small scholarship, because his son ". . . wasn't black or a pitcher or way over 6 feet." Again I was offended because I am a minority (Asian), but didn't want to start a scene.
He then proceeded to tell me he attended USC as an English major and that he was from Englewood, CA. He went on to say he escaped the "ghetto" and moved to Northern California in the 1970's after he graduated.
I understand that not all people share my liberal views on gender and race, but this was really uncalled for. He insulted two groups that I belong to. I am a former scientist who became a patent attorney and most recently was a Chief Legal Officer for a small biotech. I know some employment law, and his statements to me were quite offensive.
I don't want him to lose his job, but perhaps he needs to have some sensitivity training. This is not the 1950s anymore and diversity and tolerance is an important component for any company.
I did not get his name, but he said he was moving doors on the flat cart from the storage area to the main floor as he does every Wednesday.
Thank you for allowing me to share my experience.

Home Depot plastic carryout bags

My complaint seem very trivial it is in regards to the quality or lack of with the plastic bags use to carry out our treasures that we purchased. I'm a small electrical contractor in the Twin City area and do a lot of business with HD, in a word the bags that they use in this area anyway are "crap" I'm lucking if I can make it out to my truck with out the bag disintegrating before I get there. I think it's time Home Depot spent a little more on the quality of their carry out bags. Thanks you for your consideration.

Home Depot lg stove that has never functioned properly.

I bought and had delivery of an LG stove late August 2017.

It never has been able to hold a steady temperature since deliver.

I spent 3 months resetting the stove temperature controls as instructed by the LG internet site yet it would randomly change temperatures while baking.

On November 20, 2017 I phoned LG and they took three weeks to find a repairman to come fix the stove. He has now come four times, once to inspect and three times changing parts to fix the stove. As of February 27 he has given up trying to repair it.

Home Depot management has said that even though they sold the stove to me they will or can do nothing to help resolve the fixing of an stove that they sold to me. LG has informed me that they will send a repairman as many times as necessary to repair it.

Everytime a repairman comes I have to take time off from work and I do not get paid so this concept of "as many times" is upsetting.

Is there anything that your department can do to help rectify this situation of having an urepairable stove.

Home Depot man at cutting station

Place.. Batavia Home Depot Time and date..3/6/18 11am I had a new Auto key that I ordered and my original ignition key. The guy said we don't do those keys and I said I've read where you do. He took the blank key and sized it up after I asked him if he wanted the original. He said they were out of this type of key and pointed at an empty space in rack at the cutting station. I said you have the blank and he said no I don't and I showed him the original. He took it and did the cutting and gave them back and said I don't think it will work. I looked and the thick end was not cut and I pointed it out and he said take to Auto Zone and they will finish it. Well, Auto Zone said they don't do the key cutting for copy's. I went back and the same rude, grumpy man said really after I told him about AZ. I said could there be a different fixture that would allow more of the keys to be copied and cut. He didn't reply but took 5 minutes then grabbed another fixture and finished the jog right. This older guy was unprofessional to say the least. Lied a couple of times and was rude and grumpy. Gave me dirty looks when I asked a question. I'm still upset over the disrespect this man had for 16) me and his job. Doug Vanelli [protected]

Home Depot rental

Today we rented a plumbing auger and asked for how this one worked. The CSR was vague and didn't provide anything but a paper with safety tips. For a company centered around DIY, I expected more. We were stuck watching YouTube videos for instuctions and ended up returning it an hour later without even getting my full deposit back. I would very much like to be refunded for the remainder of my deposit seeing as we didn't even get to use the product.

Home Depot return/customer service dept.

I went to the Home Depot store (March 3, 2018) on a Saturday evening in the town I live in, Gilroy ca, to return a item I had purchased just only a day before (March 2, 2018) on a Friday afternoon. I paid with cash at the self check out. I was returning it because my boyfriend changed his mind about it and found something cheaper thru a friend. I had the receipt with me in hand when I went on Saturday, March 3, 2018 to return it but unfortunately that did not go well. This lady, whom she presumed herself as the store manager and no one else was there with higher authority than her, was very rude to me. She aggressively pulled my receipt out of my hand and asked where did I get it from with attitude. I told her exactly where And when even mentioned and pointed on the receipt where it says the time and date on it. Which was March 2, 2018. She was basically insinuating that the receipt I had was a fake.

Home Depot poor quality - bathroom renovation

Home Depot did a tremendous job on my kitchen renovation project in 2012 so much so that when my renovation needs for my hall bathroom arose, I did not hesitate to reach out to Home Depot once again.

For my bathroom project, Home Depot contacted out to a company called Romanoff who did the design and completed the job on 2/23/2018 much to my dissatisfaction. The main driving force behind my bathroom re- model project was the desire to replace an old bathtub that had lost it's finish and was hard to keep clean. So this fact was pivotal and communicated to Romanoff. Romanoff estimated the cost of the job at approximately $9, 500 and that the amount charged to my account.

The job was delayed two days because the bathtub that was ordered kept coming in chipped. Finally the contractors went out to purchase a bathtub and what was purchased and installed was a low quality, low -end, low cost bathtub by a company /brand called Bootz Maui bathtub with terrible reviews and frequent documented problems such as chipping. Read the reviews for yourselves! I am displeased. On a $9, 500 job, I would not expect Romanoff to install a cheap bathtub enabling them to keep their profit margins high. I did not get what I wanted out of this job. I inherited a large bill ($9, 500) and as far as I am concerned I still have a problem with my bathtub which is low quality and prone to chipping.

Customers contract the services of Home Depot and their sub-contractors because they are seen as subject matter experts helping and guiding to reach high customer satisfaction levels. Romanoff tricked me into a low end bathtub because they knew that I lacked the expertise to know any better. I erroneously thought that they had my best interests at heart and not their own profit margins.

I was hoping to receive the same quality Home Depot re-modeling services that I received with my kitchen project but sadly I did not. Please consider having the vendor replace my bathtub for a higher quality one, re-doing the wall tile as a result or discounting the cost of the re-model project.

Regards,
Judith Haughton

Home Depot service at eldorado and the toll - frisco texas

We called in a order at 10:17am. They said it would be ready in a hour. We pull up at 11:20 and it wasn't ready.
They said 20 more minutes. We do to eat across the street. Come back after an hour ! Isn't ready!
What!
It's a pallet of laminated . There isn't much pulling and really shouldn't be much counting. It's what 50 or 60 a pallet? Rows of 4?!? Come on.
Well, we Got our order at 1:05!

Jenny and Sabrina at the from pro reward desk said all they could.
Mo was unprofessional. Mentioning "we were busy this morning"
I don't care! If Mo thinks her store was busy this morning she won't make it at any other store. She should see busy in the Denton location!
This is unacceptable!

So dissatisfied with this location Time and time again.

Home Depot dishwasher warranty work done and dishwasher still leaks

Had dishwasher warranty work done in november. The warranty was going to expire at the end of november. Dishwasher is still leaking morgan's appliance service does not respond to telephone calls not messages left. Home depot was called and told my husband we would hear back from them or the company. Never received calls from either one. That was a month ago. Called home depot yesterday. I was told i'm basicly out of luck since warranty is expired and it's over 90 days. How convenient. I'm a long time customer. I will never
Buy a thing from depot again. Probably need to shred credit card. Run around, run around. Defective product, who cares nobody. Hold you representatives and company's that do the work accountable. Poor customer service. They need to make sure the company who repaired the dishwasher answers calls and responds to messages. The company did not respond and has yet to respond. They outwaited the warranty period on their work intentionally. Had home depot responded and followed up as they said they were going to, it wouldn't be 90 days later.

Hi Ms. Gates.

Appreciated reading your concerns. I'd like to help. Would appreciate if you could supply a few additional pieces off information..

What make and model is the dishwasher?
What was the purchase date?
Did you elect to purchase additional warranty coverage?
Did you install it yourself or pay to have it professionally installed?

Home Depot service

Was in Home Depot Lake Worth Yesterday February 20th 2018. After hauling a cart with a water heater and other miscellaneous items to the register I was informed that my check was rejected. After confirming with my bank at the register that there were no issues on their end I was told I needed to go to the pro desk for them to do a phone sale with my checking account. After waiting a half hour at the pro desk was told I had to go to the customer service desk. After waiting another half hour there I was told by a cashier and then by a head cashier that your system simply could not accommodate this transaction. I figured surely the store manager would have the authority to resolve this in some way after all the aggravation endured up to that point. He however, recited the same thing as the head cashier. At this point we drove to Lowe's where, after amassing the same goods, we were in and out of the cashier with our products in less than 5 minutes using the same checks.

It would be an understatement to say that my wife and I have spent many thousands of dollars at home depots over the years. However, it is not an overstatement to say that, it is my intention to never buy so much as a screw or a bolt from any of your stores from this point forward...for whatever this testimony is worth to you, if anything.

Sincerely,

Jim Fenwick

Delray Beach, FL

Home Depot lifetime warranty scam.

I bought a Astracast sink with a lifetime warranty in 2001from Home Depot Brighton Michigan.
It cracked 2018, the manufacturer said they would warranty the sink if I had a receipt .
Home Depot receipt have ink that fades away and don't last 18 years and they are unable to recover purchases that far back.
So to bad for me.
From 1999 to 2001 I probably spent 30, 000 dollars at Home Depot because I built my house.
Most of kitchen items I bought sink, cabinets, floor didn't last and need to be replaced but I will check out the competition.

Home Depot unethical behavior

2/6/2018

I would like to complain regarding store employee Bishara.
Store #0251, North Miami Beach, FL 33162

I have shopping in this store over 20 years and I have never, never received such a bad service from any employee as I have received from this lady. Her rudeness and attitude was beyond any customer should ever receive. This type of employee should not be working with customers at all. As general contractor that is in the store everyday shopping should not go thru this type of behavior .
The employee was so rude that she just walked away from the register and erased all my transactions, like I was not standing in front of her.
Her attitude was that if you don't like my service, get someone else.
I would like to know the results of this satiation.

Home Depot panama city beach tool rental

I showed up to rent a floor jackhammer on 2/5/2018. As I was standing in line waiting to check out, Tool rental employee "Dewayne" asked me what I was going to do with the jackhammer. I told him I was tearing up 3/16 " wood flooring. He said I had the wrong blade. He took the blade I had and went over to the cabinet where they keep the blades, took out another blade and explained the difference to me. Yes the blade was a lot thicker but it looked rough. At 10:05 am I left with the blade given to me and the machine .
I get to the job. set everything up, turn on the machine. The blade breaks. I call home depot, speak with Dewayne, tell him the blade broke, his first response is "we told you that blade wouldn't work" I said " Dewayne, you gave me that blade" he said he didn't give it to me, I chose that blade myself. frustrated at this point I just ask for a replacement blade, he tells me they don't have one. So now I'm searching for a replacement blade to get the job done, I call the tool rental manager "Clint" to make sure I'm not going to be charged $26.00 for a faulty blade. Clint informs me that he has to talk with his employee before determining any action. At this point I tell him I'm just going to return the machine. I returned the machine at about 3:45 pm. They charged me $193.64 for a machine I could not use.
I have owned a business for over twenty years in the construction industry. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Home Depot. I'm afraid I might have to think otherwise after this extreme lack of customer service. I told the manager, Clint to look at the video tape and you will clearly see Dewayne taking the blade I had and exchanging it himself and not only giving me the blade I left with but also explaining to me the difference between the two. His reply to me was " I don't have access to that".
Home Depot ... I hope you enjoy that $193.64 you charged me for absolutely nothing. You won't get any more money from me. This is too wrong for me to overlook. I checked out on 02/05/2018 at 10:05 am. look at the tape, refund my money. Teach your employees and managers about customer service. Do the right thing.

I appreciated reading your concerns. Unfortunately the video does not contain audio. Home Depot does not guarantee that the tool you're renting will work for the job you're trying to tackle. Although Home Depot professionals are willing to provide basic information, it's assumed the user has the skills to properly use the equipment. Ultimately in renting any tool, from any establishment, you assume all liability for the merchandise.

Home Depot customer service/delivery

I made a purchase on 1/12/18 of almost $1200 (in cash)on a washer and dryer including attachments and 3 yr warranty on each. I called your customer service number multiple times in a week time frame and I kept getting hung up on. Finally on 2/5/18 I called the store #4626 (Virginia Beach VA) I made the purchase from and spoke to customer service about changing the delivery date and location ( just purchased a home and needed the location changed). Your customer service associate told me that I would have to return the items then repurchase them in order to change the delivery location do to fraud issues, which I could understand. At that point he told me that I would have to pay the higher price for the item instead of allowing me to re-buy them at what I originally paid for them after speaking to the manager. I am highly upset about this and cant understand why I would pay almost $100 more just to change the deliver location. The manager that denied the approval of this transaction should really consider on whether he would like me to pay $100 now or possibly thousands in the near future because like I said I just purchased a house and i'm going to need other services and products soon such as fencing and storm doors which would of put more money in your company but because of the small request that was denied Im reconsidering business with Home Depot.

Home Depot delivery

My wife and I moved to Pittsburgh from Nashville Tn and purchased a house that needs some remodeling (Kitchen, two bathrooms and Man cave). I have already spent about $2000 in incidentals, but on February 1st at 9 am, I had an $1100 order ( #W917010230) that I needed to be delivered at my new house. It said at first it would be delivered on the 1st but it changed to the 2nd, no problem. I waited and waited but no one ever called or showed up. I called the 1800 number and I was told that they tried to contact me but the two numbers were not good. Not true as the first delivery they made a few days before made it fine and I was contacted. They sent an email to me but I had a problem with email, so that was on me. I sat on the phone for an hour getting everything straightened out and was told that they would deliver on Saturday Feb 3rd. I was hoping for an early delivery but they could not promise that, it would be from 6am to 8pm(OK, understand that). Now here's the problem. I waited all day and no call. I called at about 3-4pm to check when they would be at my house. I was on the phone for 30 minutes at least and finally Amanda (at the 1800 number told me that she would connect me with the store that was fulfilling the order and she did just that. As soon as the lady said my name we were disconnected and I couldn't get anyone back on the phone. I called and spoke with Ryan at the Ross Township store and he told me to call the store that was fulling the order also. I called that store and the delivery department had left. I had a friend with a truck take me to the Ross Township store to pick up some plywood that was not on the delivery order and spoke with Ryan in person at the return/delivery desk. After he made a few calls, he said that they had rescheduled my delivery for the 5th and had refunded $105 off of my order. No one ever called to tell me that. I really don't think they ever planned to do my delivery Saturday. Not to mention I sat around the house and couldn't go anywhere since someone had to be there when they deliver it. Yes by that time I was very angry and had Ryan refund my money and said I would take my business down the street, which I did. I have always been a Home Depot guy, but to be honest I am not feeling very happy with the way I was treated nor how this was handled. I know I'm just a little guy and in the scheme of things my money is not much, but isn't that was Home Depot's character is built on, the Diy'er, lots of little guys and girls doing small jobs. I guess ultimately I wanted someone to know how this was handled and not sure if I can keep buying from a company that would treat their customers this way.
